The best German food in the area, everyone will be happy here.
From salads to schnitzel, everything is delicious, and the sauces are rarely as good.
Every dish on the menu is highly recommended.
A very warm welcome, delicious food, and a pleasant conversation made our visit a delightful one; we will certainly be back. Thank you again for everything.
We ate pasta with vegetables and chicken there, which was all good, but the dishes were simply lacking in vegetables. Mine only had bean sprouts, thin carrots, and a little leek. Please improve this immediately – add more vegetables, like a bell pepper or something.
Down-to-earth and honest – the menu is straightforward with 7-9 dishes. All of them are truly homemade – from the salads (the chef has a greenhouse behind the inn) to the spaetzle and potato dumplings.
The service was incredibly friendly and helpful.
We'll definitely remember the Jägerhof.
The food was very good.
We mentioned beforehand that we had the voucher book. But what happened when we went to pay was outrageous. We were told that only 5 vouchers were accepted per day, and that all of them had already been used today. Now we have to pay the full price! That's completely unacceptable!
The restaurant looks a bit unassuming from the outside and inside, but the food is simply first-class. Whether it's sushi, curry, soup, or a bowl, you really can't go wrong here. The food is spectacularly presented, and the cocktails are also lovingly prepared. The service is really good; everyone is super friendly and accommodating. It's great to have a conversation in the restaurant; it's not noisy. This place is absolutely great value for money.
If you love schnitzel, you have to come here!
Accessibility:
Very easy by car, plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant, on the ground floor, and therefore also accessible for those with limited mobility.
Service:
Excellent! Very friendly, attentive staff. Waiting times were absolutely acceptable.
Food: We had the Braumeister schnitzel here and both loved it. Huge schnitzel, but also thick and wonderfully juicy. Perfectly baked, with a gigantic amount of French fries on the side, which were also perfectly cooked. Beautifully presented, too.
Price:
This gigantic schnitzel in the picture costs €17.90 (as of October 2025), making it absolutely excellent value for money. The other dishes are also within this range, and the drink prices are also perfectly reasonable.
Atmosphere:
Very clean and well-maintained. It's not surprising that it's cozy, but it's plentiful and nicely bright. There's a beer garden, a lovely location with a view of the half-timbered houses. A little tip: During our visit, it was a little chilly in the restaurant; it didn't bother me, but if you're sensitive, you might want to bring a light jacket.
Conclusion:
100% recommended! Whether you're in the area or just passing through on the A7, definitely stop by.
