The furnishings are very simple and unfortunately not as nice as their predecessors. The tables are very small and do not invite you to stay for a long time. Groups with more than four people or an additional person with walking difficulties are at a clear disadvantage here. Unfortunately, the current boss wasn't very accommodating; the financial advantage seems to take precedence over the customer's wishes. The food didn't come, so I can't say whether that was lucky.

The food takes far too long to be ready. You make a pre-order, then come to pick it up, and nothing has been prepared yet. Half of the order was forgotten - simply no competence.

The restaurant is attractively decorated and the food is good. What was particularly pleasing was the reference to the grilled suckling pig, which was not on the menu. The service was friendly and very motivated. An all-round successful evening.

We only went to the restaurant to eat and didn't stay in the Andreasstuben. The food is home-style and tastes good. The service is friendly.

Wer in Weißenburg mal nicht im "Schwarzen Bär" essen möchte, oder fränkischer, bayrischer und des lokalen (sehr guten !) Thai-/China-/Vietnam-Büffets überdrüssig ist, sollte nicht nur deswegen REGELMÄSSIG im "Maharaja" essen. Die Speisekarte ist - für "Laien" - fast unüberschaubar: Ein bißchen "Beratung" kann für "Ungeübte" nicht schaden. Wobei man genausogut die Karte aufschlagen und blind mit dem Finger "auswählen" kann. Es schmeckt nicht nur ALLES, sondern die Weißenburger Maharaja-Küche schlägt sämtliche von mir persönlich besuchten indischen Restaurants und Hotelküchen, welche ich während meines Berufslebens, quasi zwangsweise, besucht habe. In Indien wohlgemerkt ! Und unsere Unterkünfte waren durchweg First Class Hotels. Der stets zu einem Schwatz aufgelegte, immer gutgelaunte Chef stammt aus dem Punjab, also dem Norden Indiens. Nichtsdestotrotz beschränkt sich seine Küche nicht auf seine Heimatregion. Papadam mit 3 Saucen #16 (die Töpfchen kann man leerlöffeln !), oder lieber "spicy", wahlweise REALLY SPICY (der Sprinkler geht an + die Feuerwehr rückt aus!), sind ein guter Einstieg. Sämtliche Shrimp- (my favourite #58a - REAAALLY SPICY !) und Fischgerichte sind absolut frisch ! NICHTS "riecht"! Den Basmati-Reis mit Safran bekomme ich zuhause - trotz semiprofessionellem, aus Thailand persönlich importiertem "Rice-Cooker" und bestem Reis ("Tilda") - nicht annähernd so "krümelig" hin. Die Idee eines häuslichen Naan-Ofens habe ich entnervt aufgegeben. Wäre ungefähr so, wie wenn indische Köche sich nebenbei als Berufspiloten betätigen würden. Die Portionen sind dermaßen üppig, daß ein "Doggybag" zur Pflicht wird. Reichen locker für einen weiteren Tag. Dies sollte der geschätzte Gast in seine "Kalkulation" und "Bewertung" einfließen lasssen. "Maharaja" ist mehr als "preiswert". Als Abschluß vielleicht einen Chai-Milch-Tee. Die Schüsselchen mit den bunten Anis-Zucker-Kügelchen kommen stets mit der Rechnung. Und meist ein Mango-Schnaps "on the house". "Maharaja" ist eine kulinarische Oase und erspart einem vielleicht die beschwerliche (Kontrollen), teure (Visum), zeitraubende Reise nach Indien.

Juice shop - overpriced for what you actually get, mediocre service, you pay more than half of the main course for the actual side dish (€9 burger/€5 for curly fries... (printed very small at the bottom of the menu)), burgers are dry, pizza tasted like onions, you have to pack your own food to take away, etc.; In conclusion, I would "recommend" it for a last-minute decision, but the quality is different.

Modern, bright furnishings, food was delicious, service was friendly, we will definitely be back!

We enjoyed it very much. Great food, friendly and attentive service. We were completely satisfied and would be happy to come back if we're ever in Weißenburg again.

Unfortunately you can't give minus stars here, otherwise the so-called restaurant would have deserved them. Topping a vegetarian pizza with only beans and peas is an absolute disgrace for €12. The noodles for 16 euros were also hard on the inside and the sauce was pure creamy mush. If it hadn't been so long, I would have carried the pizza back to the kitchen straight away.

Food may be good. I ordered for delivery. After an hour of waiting the order was canceled. I have no idea why there might be too much to do
