We arrived and they did not attend to us. Afterwards, an Asian lady kindly told us that we could go inside the restaurant to choose a drink while the owner/manager/cook arrived from shopping, all of this a bit by gesture because the lady did not understand English and we spoke German. When the guy arrived he was super rude, he started yelling at us for no reason. We went automatically. Appalling
Were there for a school trip. This visit didn't convince us because the pizza dough was raw and oily, there was hair on the food, there were hard dumplings that you could knock someone out with and it just didn't meet our expectations. After lunch we had a long line to use the toilet.
1 star – From Flädlesuppe to Fußelwasser: a very special experience
With 9 boys we ended up with the “Indian of our distrust” - and were not disappointed. At least not in the classic sense.
We start with Flädlesuppe – at least that’s what we ordered. What arrived was a hot broth in which a Flädle was probably swimming, but then dissolved in shock. The taste is somewhere between warm tap water and sadness.
My beef was so dry that I wanted to dip it in sauce - unfortunately there was none. You could have sold it as tree bark, that would have been more honest.
The sausage salad? So little that you thought it was the decoration. The taste is so meaningless that even toast would be offended if you compared the two.
And now for the show act of the evening: a drink with an ingredient - but not lemon or ice cubes. No, small, fine lint. When we asked, the boss told us with a serious expression: “That’s Dutch.” We were speechless for a moment. Did he mean elderberry? Or is this a new trendy drink from Amsterdam? Maybe a fusion of washing machine and confusion. There was no clarification - the lint remained inside.
Conclusion: Service friendly, but haphazard. Kitchen creative, but not in a positive sense. We won't be back, but we'll tell our grandchildren.
It was one of the breakfast spots we had saved for our Munich trip, and we chose this branch because it was close to us.
I went with the “Le American 🥐” and my husband chose the “Avocado Toast Deluxe 🥑” The croissant was soft, and the flavor of the cheddar scrambled eggs was really nice. Combined with bacon and chipotle sauce, the overall taste was well-balanced. My husband was also satisfied with his avo-toast. It was a filling and tasty breakfast.
After breakfast, we ordered a banana bread and some tap water. The banana bread was a bit drier compared to others I’ve had, but it still tasted good.
The total for two breakfast plates + 2 americanos + banana bread came to €43,5. However, we ended up paying around €46–47 when the bill came (unfortunately, I forgot to take a photo of the receipt). I’m not sure if we were charged for the water even though we asked for tap water?? If so, that’s quite unreasonable, or they should at least inform us beforehand if there’s a charge for tap water 🙄
Other than the pricing issue, there was nothing else to criticize. The interior of the place is nicely decorated, spacious and airy, and it’s centrally located. The breakfast was good.
