Everything is right here: nice location right on Gärtnerplatz, the sunny terrace is lively, a little more quiet inside, friendly service and a diverse selection of food and the most important thing: it tastes good. A safe bank in the Glockenbachviertel.

Been there for breakfast ; quite cozy

My friend recommend this place and I am happy that she did! It is a nice and cozy café with amazing food and nice and friendly staff! Can recommend to anyone who stumbles upon this amazing place.

The most value for money brunch in Munich. Portions normal, quick service. The only negative thing is that people keep coming in and there are several tables inside, so it gets busy.

I just find it sad how in 2024 an extra charge of €0.50 can still be charged for oat milk. There is now no difference in price and guests should be encouraged rather than discouraged to choose the plant-based alternative! Price-performance is also rather medium. We paid €6.50 for a really small bowl of fruit salad. I can confirm the reviews about the toilets. They really weren't clean and smelled terrible.

Very dirty, very dirty toilets and incredibly bad service. We sat there for 2 hours and not once did anyone come to our table to take further orders. The entire payment process was also more than nerve-wracking. I won't come anymore.

There were two of us here for breakfast and luckily we had made a reservation. The space outside is quite small, the table is too small for my comfort. Service was good, came regularly - drinks and food also came quickly. Everything was to our satisfaction. Gladly again!

The food is acceptable and our waitress (Lilly) was courteous and friendly. However the manager, (Mike) received us wearing a very informal Karl largerfield t shirt (which was too small for him), and immediately had an unprovoked attitude. We asked him if we could sit outside and he offered us a very small busy table situated directly in front of the restaurant entrance. When we asked him (politely) if we could sit on one of the many other empty tables outside (all misleading marked “reserved” even though reservations are not accepted by the restaurant, probably to create the false impression of high demand along with the deliberate policy of maintaining a queue outside despite adequate available seating), he replied abruptly “I decide where you sit” and refused and then walked away. When he eventually returned, it was only after a long and confrontational conversation that he agreed to sit us at another table, during which he walked away twice without notice or reason pretending to be busy. I feel bad for the otherwise lovely staff who have to put up with this extremely rude individual and strongly advise the franchiser to seek alternative management

We just wanted to drink coffee and a cake there. When we asked what cakes there were, the waitress pointed out in a very rude tone that we must have seen the cakes in the counter when we came in. The fact that we were simply called by this “service person” despite the larger age difference further increased the disrespect. We didn't feel like going to this place anymore and found a friendly café nearby. Zero stars for service. We can't rate the food.

I went there in person yesterday (Saturday) and booked a table for 9 people for today (Sunday, 5.10.24) at 11.30 for brunch. When we arrived there was a long queue but we proceeded inside since we had already had a reservation. Waited for our table when a member of the staff said that he remembers me making a reservation yesterday but unfortunately they don't make reservations on Sundays (even though their online system accepts Sunday reservations, there were tables outside with the reservation sign on top and their system inside also because he first checked his system before getting rid of us). Then he sent us outside to wait at the queue saying that he doubts we will find a table for 9 people on such a busy day. Never again!!!!

Cotidiano was by far my favorite brunch spot in Munchen for a long time. The food was absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, recently they changed the menu and the chef (I think) and now the food it's no longer great, and a lot of nice meals are out of the menu ( like vegan delux or others), but ofc the prices rested high. I ordered Avocado Toast and the avocado was super hard, not ripe at all, the eggs overcooked and the portion super small. I don't think I'll come too often here, I'm really disappointed that I lost a nice brunch place.

At 9:10 p.m. no more food was served. The waitress said there were only drinks left, even though the menu said there would be food until 10 p.m.

Everything would be fine if it weren’t for the attitude of the waiters towards tourists... if they see that you are not local, they seat you at very uncomfortable tables, while everything is free everywhere, we had to win back the table we wanted 😅 And they are also arrogant, after this, of course, there is no desire to leave a tip, but when paying, I strongly recommend paying attention to 10% 15% 20% leaving them a tip 😅the coffee is delicious, the food too. There is no desire to come again, service is important for us, and food in Germany is delicious almost everywhere 🤷🏼‍♀️

We had a very tasty breakfast. The portions were quite small, but very tasty. We also liked the selection and the hot drinks. Some of the menus for the children contained sugar, which is not great for small children. That and the portions were a bit larger and the shop would have earned 5 stars.

The lady who greeted us gave us the worst table when there were many empty tables. her behavior changed as soon as she realized that we were tourists. unfortunately this is the general atmosphere in Munich. But i have news for these people, we are here because of obligations, or else believe me no one is dying for your racist behaviours when italy and their friendly warm people and the most beautiful cities are there.

Were there for breakfast. The selection is great, as is the food itself. The relationship between price and quantity is a bit strange for some dishes. Service was quick but not extremely friendly. Reservations probably make sense.

A popular spot during brunch hours, this place offers a variety of options with friendly service. The outdoor seating is a plus, especially on a sunny day. The bagel was decent but not mind-blowing, while the pancakes with bacon were a highlight. It’s a reliable brunch spot, though not one that will redefine your culinary expectations.

Service was very slow. Even though there were plenty of tables outside, they made people wait. They made people wait a long time to order.

Cappuccino is hot water with milk foam. Very bad. Service was okay, although I didn't understand why I had to move as there was no designated closed area.

We had some really great food at Cotidiano. It was a mix of good fusion. I had the chickpea curry, with rice and chicken which was full of taste and we had the vegetarian platter as appetiser and plant based flambee. Highly recommended. Ample seating, inside and outside but since it was nice weather, we enjoyed our meal outside.

I didn't think I would ever review "worst food ever", but unfortunately that was the case. The scrambled eggs with veggies were overcooked tasteless carrots (in the scrambled eggs?) and something cold that was supposed to be scrambled eggs. In addition to white bread and salad from the bag with ready-made dressing. Unfortunately, the coffee was not lactose-free as ordered, which I only noticed after taking a sip. We spoke to the service lady, but she said that if you've already eaten it, there's nothing more you can do. No apology or any type of service delivery

The food was delicious, even if it wasn't exactly what was ordered on the menu. The ambience was nice and OK, but super loud due to the different conversations. Service was nice and tried to make up for the long wait with jokes and insults... unfortunately the negative points mentioned were more serious

A recommended breakfast restaurant, but you should be prepared to wait as it is often busy. The service is quick and very friendly. The cappuccino was okay, but not a highlight. My pancakes were wonderfully soft and fresh, but unfortunately the fried egg was completely fried. It seems that this is the usual way of preparation here as I have seen other guests do the same thing.

Despite the fact that I had to wait 20 minutes for a free table, I was very impressed with the taste of the food. The prices are completely reasonable and the service seemed very friendly. The menu offers a wide selection, with something for everyone. Because of the large number of people, it is also noisy, which is why quiet conversation is hardly possible.

The reviews made us to choose this place for breakfast but our experience did not match the comments. Let me start with a positive feedback first.We did not have to wait long after being seated to order or receive our food. Attitude of personnel varied from very kind and polite to not friendly and rude. What I did not like was the quality of the food mainly.It looked attractive but it was not fresh!The avocado was half dark and the egg was not fresh and smelled. Another criticism i can make is about seats there were plenty of seats outside and the weather was warm but they did not open there for customers. As well we were a group of 5 we have been seated in 2 different locations on 3 and 2 groups. Before our foods get ready 2 seats beside one of our tables got free and we asked the person in charge to move there but his attitude was really rude. Even though eventually they freed two tables and moved us together the ignorance, the rude tone and walking away while talking to him was sth no one can say will appreciate it.

Marina provided us with excellent service and recommendations - I love Cotidiano and come here on every Munich trip! High quality food and plenty of vegetarian options too!!

The food and drinks are good! Fresh amd tasty but the service is slow and no air condition. We are in mid August 2024 the weather is not like it was 30 yrs. Ago! How can they not turn the A/C on? The price is very high. Euro 50 per person... wow!

Our waitress "Mehtap" was very kind. She spoke very good english and was very helpful with our requests. I had a bagel with scrambled eggs, cream cheese, and tomato. It was very good. I also had an iced coffee (decaf), which was very good as well. She helped me with the decaf as well as with gluten-free bread for my sister who had the same order. They have Gluten-free options, decaf options, meats, vegetarian and vegan. Would recommend! The prices was not tooo bad either.

The food is ok. Nothing special. It is overrated. And they charge you for tap water small glass 2'2€!

I believe you can/should easily find a better place to have breakfast. We have almost waited 30 mins to be seated - which was okay until super rude behavior of the waiter who was helping out the guests. His attitude was horrible. Since we already waited for quite some time we still wanted to give it a shot. I believe our food came almost after 45 mins after the order - which is waaaaay above the average service time. On top, the food was really mediocre… Another super interesting thing was how they’re insisting guests to leave tip regardless of the bad experience they offer?? I don’t plan to come back here…

Disrespectful staff and very bad service during busy hours. My friend received the wrong meal twice in a row and also asked for olive oil which was brought to the table waaay after the food was finished. Afterwards they brought the wrong bill (probably due to prior confusion with the order) which took them further time to change and give the right bill, causing countless minutes of worthless waiting. And then my friend didn't tipp the waiter -due to obvious reasons, they delivered the wrong food 2 times back to back and my friend literally had to eat the food they brought the second time-, the bald haired waiter with a beard then proceeded to disrespect my friend telling them "in Germany we always tipp"... They were clearly trying to hint at the fact that my friend is clearly not German... Racist and also not hard working staff... Unless it is bound by law you have to earn your tip, no one is eligible for a tip simply by existing, I myself try to tip most of the time but this person and the establishment on this occasion clearly didn't earn the tipp. They also thought it was appropriate to say those things, very disrespectful, I can't believe that "adults" like these exist...

The dishes were good, but the waiter who invents his own prices and tries to charge us €7 for a carafe of water is shameful. His English was more than adequate at the start of the service, but when the time came to detail the bill, strangely we no longer understood each other... to avoid!!!

We stopped to have a drink. The staff was very slow and since they didn't bring us the bill, we asked for it again and they answered us rudely. Improved care. Nice place.

Went there without a reservation and waited in line outside for about 25 minutes. After we got a table it took about 20 minutes until we could place a drink order. Since I unfortunately have problems with my stomach and various intolerances, I just wanted to order bread with butter and, for example, cress or something like that (it's not on the menu but all the ingredients are there). I was told that didn't work. Then I wanted to order the “American croissant” but please without egg and without burger sauce. Afterwards we were told that no changes would be made (just wanted to leave out ingredients, didn't do anything about it). After I said that unfortunately I couldn't eat anything because I couldn't tolerate so much and unfortunately there was something everywhere, I was told I could order a bread basket with butter (photo attached - not really appealing). Unfortunately very disappointed after a long wait - no accomodation or consideration

We wait at least 1 hour for our order, turns out it was delivered to a different table and no one even said sorry for this and blame us. Terrible hospitality. Not recommended at all.

Super friendly service and original breakfast variations

The waiter was very inattentive and rude and in the end when the bill arrived he simply gave himself an extra tip, adding it to the bill! When we refused to pay the extra tip, he became furious and told us to never come back again!! This behaviour is unacceptable; I have never been treated worse in a restaurant.

Super friendly staff who are committed and can manage everything well. The food was also very tasty, although a bit more faithful (which is unfortunately common for Munich).

I went to this restaurant with my girlfriend in the middle of the week. We had to wait a bit, about 5 minutes, which was fine. Since it was later and it was the holidays, there were no cars on the road and therefore not loud. The waiter who served us was super nice and patient. We didn't have to wait long for our food. We both had the Farmer Bowl 🥣 which was super delicious 🤤. You could also order beef strips, salmon or avocado 🥑. I had the beef strips, very good taste and a healthy bowl without rice. Excellent! Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of my bowl 🥣 because I was too hungry 😋. But there are enough photos of the bowls here…. The only minus I have to give was the toilet. No paper towels and not that clean either. The employees could check in between and refill etc.

One of the bad but unfortunately and often typical Munich experiences. Unfriendly staff "Wait outside to be seated" with a lot of empty tables. Gärtnerplatz got to fancy the last year's. After 3 minutes waiting we went on to a nice cafe close to Fraunhoferstr. without a hard door.

I was there with a friend and our children, who are about a year old. The service was not friendly. They had tables outside but only offered us inside. When I asked to reheat my daughter's porridge, the waitress replied that she had to ask her boss because that was not allowed. He came The boss personally came to tell me that it was not even allowed to give the children a piece of bread that was not purchased in the restaurant. When I pointed out to him that they were small children, he replied that there were children's menus for them. I canceled my order and we left. Now I understand why in this place Families with children are never seen. I do not recommend Cotidiano.

I was very disappointed with the service. The staff were unfriendly, and the atmosphere wasn't welcoming. My 10-month-old baby has specific dietary needs due to allergies, so I had prepared his food at home. However, the waiter was rude, he refused to let me feed him and insisted I buy baby food from the café. When I explained the situation, he refused to accommodate us and asked us to leave. It’s a shame !!!!!

Very greedy and rude waiter! We ask for a bill and the waiter only told us the price with his self madeup tip! He could have asked how much tip we would like to give him but instead he deliberately pointed to the amount he wanted. When we asked to give us back this “never agreed on” amount, he said “stand up and go away”. What on earth is that kind of service? The food is average, serving time was fast though.

Food is good, but the clientele often “see” and “be seen”. I come here with friends every now and then because it's just nice. Deduction due to often overcrowded.

We leave.... We ask for a table in the shade, we are placed in the sun. Although we waited, not the slightest glance from the waiters towards us. In short, we left without eating.

*Food: Everything we had was nice and tasty. The coffee is also great here. The pink latte is quite popular here so definitely try that out. *Ambience: It does get crowded quickly so you might need to go early to get a spot and not wait around. Staff: very friendly and helpful.

Super nice team, you always receive very friendly service. The dishes are delicious and there is something for every taste. The relationship between price and performance alone is not always correct (e.g. €6.50 for a really tiny fruit salad). Otherwise, always a good option directly at Gärtnerplatz. Tip: Reservations are strongly recommended, as queues often form here - especially on weekends during brunch times.

Piece of advice before eating food at a place, check the washroom and have a glance at the kitchen!, was quite dirty. Stay away from the chili con carne got food poisoning. Not worth paying 18 Euros a dish for them to warm up food, which I feel they do

We went for breakfast this morning, and it was amazing!! The food and coffee was great, one of our favorite meals we’ve had in Germany. The staff was very kind. Would definitely recommend. :)

Very delicious coffee and breakfast, especially the cappuccino, which was one of the best I've had recently. There was a queue outside for seating, but we were okay with sitting inside, so we didn't wait. However, it might be worth waiting outside because inside is a bit muggy. Some reviews said the portions are small, but mine was enough for one person, as you can see in the picture. It would be perfect if there was slightly less lettuce in it. If I ever come to Munich again, I will come here for my first breakfast for sure.

I went to Cotidiano for the first time today with friends and we immediately loved this shop. We were particularly impressed by the service. The waitress named Fitore was extremely friendly and gave us excellent advice and service. She enriched our experience at this restaurant. The food was also very tasty.

I haven't experienced such nice service in a long time! Thanks to the lovely Fitore, the hospitality was wonderful and welcome, we felt very comfortable! Recommended :)

That same evening I lay in bed with a fever and couldn't get up for 3 days. Had gastrointestinal. In addition, the waiter had no idea about service and put his hand in my food when serving it.

Service was friendly. At my request, the avocado bread was made vegan (i.e. simply without the two fried eggs that would otherwise be included), but I don't think it's entirely fair that it costs the same amount. The taste was also rather bland.
