If you're looking for a wide selection of schnitzel dishes, this is the place for you. The food was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially for its value for money.

Came here for a quick bite to eat while exploring Marienplatz. Aron was our serve, he was helpful, quick, and kind. Not super busy when we arrived which was great, he really took his time to help us figure out what we wanted and gave a ton of recommendations for local things to checkout. I would come back just because of him but the food was amazing as well. Huge portions and great taste.

In the summer, they serve food on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant, but I recommend going inside. It's located in a basement with traditional Bavarian decor. Naturally, I ordered the Schinitzel, the house specialty, and it was delicious!

Nice place to grab a bite. Service was a little slow, but the waiter was able to accommodate us, as we don't naturally speak German. The food was nice. The atmosphere inside is a bit too quiet; we had to head in because it was raining outside. Nice to experience something traditional, but wouldn't make it a regular stop.

We just wanted a quick drink. I was still paying for my groceries, and my wife and daughter were already inside. My wife ordered two drinks, saying I'd be right there. The waiter then said, "What do you think, should I run twice?" He didn't bring my wife's drinks until I arrived. We then got up and went over to the Augustiner. It was absolutely delicious. Sorry, but the waiter seems to be in the wrong job. This isn't the first bad review here...

Dear Sir or Madam, On Thursday, June 20, 2025, at approximately 7:40 p.m., I had a very unpleasant experience with one of your employees in your restaurant. A male employee (no hair) suddenly came to my table, extremely rudely placed his card reader almost on top of me, and in an unfriendly tone demanded that I pay immediately – even though I was still sitting there normally and had shown no signs of wanting to leave. When I politely asked why I had to pay now, even though I wanted to stay, the employee responded loudly and angrily, saying, "What, why do you have to pay? You have to pay now." This was done in a visibly annoyed and disrespectful tone. There was no "thank you," no explanation, no courtesy – just inappropriate behavior. I found this treatment to be very rude and inappropriate. I expect a service provider to treat guests with respect – unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. I ask you to investigate this incident and report it internally. I sincerely hope that future guests don't have to experience similar things.

A good place to try typical Bavarian food.

After an hour, the waiter told me I could only stay with one espresso, and no more. I don't know if it's illegal. But it's not nice, and they said no at first. I won't be going back to the restaurant.

The food is actually OK, but the staff is dishonest. When I first paid with my credit card, I chose to give a 5% tip, but for unknown reasons, the payment failed. When I switched to another credit card, the waiter deliberately picked up the credit card machine and secretly raised the service charge to 10%. It was very cunning. I only found out when I left the store and looked at the receipt. In fact, I don't mind paying a 10% service charge, but it is hard to accept cheating customers.

Food was indeed very good. We had the munchener schnitzel. But the service was awful. If you are going during the day, maybe it is better, but in the evening (we were there at a little before 9pm) the staff is very keen to close the terrace and they begin to take stuff from the tables, including our table, where we were eating at the moment. They took my ashtrey, and also I had to lift my plate in order for them to take the table cloth.. We couldn’t eat at our own pace as they were constantly rushing us and watching us.

Great food, lovely waitress, speaks in three languages, resolved our food in no time, to be able to get our flight in time.

An ordinary street Bavarian restaurant, you eat in the middle of the road, service is fast, cleanliness is mediocre, we ate turkey schnitzel and turkey salad, they were of average taste.

In prices on the menu add +€6 (2025) for each item. Atmosphere is 8/10 as is not so "Bavarian" or German, but the food earns every cent. For a decent schnitzel, one of the 3 places in Munich you have to visit.

Cheeky. For 2 diluted capuchinos they charged 13 euros. With a tip it was basically 15 euros. Even the waitress said they'd rather go and have a café somewhere else.😡

Ordinary simple inn...in the basement without windows...right on Kaufinger Straße. It was cold. There was always a draft. The noise from the kitchen could be heard...just uncomfortable...and very embarrassing. Bad picture for Munich as it is probably mostly visited by tourists.

It was my first time at the Schnitzelwirt. There was a friendly welcome, the food arrived quickly and the extremely friendly service gave me very good advice because I was unsure. I'll definitely be back.

The Schnitzelwirt... a place where you can have a nice drink and eat something delicious. I now only come to Munich once a year but the Schnitzelwirt is a must visit. The food is beautifully prepared, tastes great and is also affordable for the location. The service is a good mix of service-oriented and friendly. And then there is Aron, who with his friendly, direct Munich manner is a reason in itself to visit me and all the friends I had already brought with me. Cool, friendly & fast, what more could you want. Recommended when visiting Munich. 👍

Cozy. Wonderful atmosphere. Service 1a. The waiters have a sense of humor and know how to use their mouths (Aron, competent, he loves his job, you can tell that straight away). The dog was immediately offered water and given cuddles. The food is very tasty. The portions are plentiful. I will come back when I'm in Munich again.

Food was just okay. Schnitzel taste like McDonald’s nuggets. The homemade duck was not how we would like it. The service was okay. The server seems a bit sneaky adding the service charge on our bill as he explained what he charges for each plate we order except for the service charge.

Delicious schnitzel and especially the pepper sauce is a dream, plus the staff is relaxed. I like to go there when I'm in Munich.

Portions far too small, a small schnitzel and few fried potatoes. But SAULECKER, that's why 4 Even my little friend couldn't get enough at 50kg

Today we spontaneously got a place with a larger dog. No problem at all. 😊Water was immediately brought to him and he was pampered. Super nice staff who gave us tips for the area. Food (Wiener-style schnitzel with fried potatoes and bacon-wrapped pork fillet with cheese spaetzle and fried onions) arrived quickly and was super tasty. We have been there several times and will always come back😊 Thank you for the lovely stay with you.

We were visiting Munich and didn't want to eat in one of the tourist restaurants. We discovered this little restaurant by chance. The service was quick, friendly and assigned us a table. The drinks came quickly and the food was brought quickly too. The schnitzel was very tasty and the fries were also good. I had a vegetarian dish, which was also very good and something different. Price-performance ratio is good, but the ambience doesn't invite you to stay longer.

Dinner, pork with fries ordered. The meat was served with way too much mushroom sauce. The sauce definitely came from the plastic bag. Food was served warm and therefore quickly got cold. Staff were often busy with themselves (fooling around), we didn't feel welcome or comfortable. The first and last visit to this restaurant.

Great authentic food with good service. It was cold and raining so we went downstairs and what a cozy place.

So the food was absolutely top notch. Prices completely ok. The waiter is nice, but was very pushy and rushed. Ketchup and mayo are free. Had to decide quickly, eat, pay and leave. The seating is very tight and it's all about mass. Location really good. Not barrier-free. In the basement. Marten protection beeps in the background all the time.

So, if you get hungry here at Marienplatz and are in the mood for good German cuisine, you better find your way here. The pork schnitzel is an absolute dream (top 3 I've ever eaten), as is the turkey schnitzel. I'm not the biggest Spaten fan when it comes to beer, but even that is fresh from the tap. The service is quick and always there when you need it, but not intrusive either. You find yourself in a beautifully rustic ambience, which is also decorated depending on the season. Highly recommended and if I have the opportunity I would like to come back

Great restaurant, very tasty food, super nice service and extremely short waiting time - we had our dish within less than 10 minutes!

The order was taken by a very nice waiter (a slightly older man with crossed eyes). The drinks and a little later the food arrived quickly. The schnitzel was large and tasty. The fries are nice and crispy. In terms of price (€19.10) it's still absolutely okay for such a hotspot. After the meal, the plates were quickly cleared away by the attentive waiter. We sat outside, so we can't say much about the restaurant in the basement. However, the restaurant in the basement is not barrier-free.

There were two of us and we each ordered a schnitzel. One schnitzel was good, the other was unfortunately very tough, which became noticeable when cutting through. We were also charged without asking when we had finished drinking because the next guests were already waiting. (Table was not reserved)

A nice ambience. The service not so much. We came to have something to drink and the waiter immediately said "and for dinner?" My answer was nothing, then came "hmm for once". I was there with my husband and we were both very disappointed with the taste. It just didn't taste like anything. Service was ok and quick but breakfast was served quickly, we didn't have the feeling that we were welcome.

I had a pork schitzel with fries and it was good. Ok service and atmosphere located close to tourist attractions, so the price is fair to the location. Nothing to complain about, I would go back without any problems.

Terrible service from the waiters for being rude and poorly educated and treating Spanish tourists as if we were of inferior category. The food is terrible in presentation and quality as well as little quantity. This is my opinion after having eaten and dined for 2 days because the tour operator guide, Panavision, took us there.

Fast service was a very good beer . We ordered 2 schnitzel : one turkey second beef with fried potato. It was excellent. The desert was apple strudel it was hot & tasty but not the traditional one (TO MACH OF SUACE) Tomach expensive I recommend

A restaurant with a terrace on the street near Sendlinger Tor. The order was taken fairly quickly and the food was served about 20 minutes later. I could have given 5 stars but... the food was cold and that's why it lost its taste. The ambience well, on a crowded street there is actually no ambience. Will we eat here again? No, I don't believe it. Today it rained heavily and the ambience was spoiled even worse.

The only thing this restaurant has got right is their location. This place should pay you too eat their food, it’s has no seasoning, soggy schnitzels and poor flavour combinations (cannot even make a good side salad dressing) their menu is dominated with overpriced junk. The Customer service is almost as bad as the food but considering this is the worst restaurant I have visited 15 years not quite. I am certain the only good reviews here are friends and people with vested business interest. Visit at your own risk !

Very high prices, and you order something 15 minutes before loading or were not told to do it straight away, and were therefore rushed off with the 6€ cola and 1 scoop of ice cream with a biscuit for 4.50€. I have never experienced such unfriendly waiters!

Something hidden next to Saturn in the basement. Everything was great there. Not the most modern, but super fitting! No cobwebs or anything. The food was delicious, great for the price and the portions were enough to fill me up even as a heavy eater. The waiter Nujic was super friendly and attentive. All in all highly recommended! We wanted to sit inside to avoid smokers but were told to sit outside. Yet when I went to WC, there were some people sitting inside! first choice cannelloni was out. Order another tagliatelle and tortellini. Both were just ok. I tried to pick a table away from smokers and out of the sun. Was not successful. Not a good experience smelling cig smoke while trying to eat! When paying was told “cash” … what? That would have been nice to know in advance! Luckily we had the cash.

The store is an absolute joke. There were three of us today at around 6 p.m. because the beer garden was half full and yet a slightly older, more permanent waiter told us that unfortunately he couldn't serve us because he had so much business in the evening. Yes, then please throw us out. We'll happily go somewhere else. I won't be coming back again.

The food was not good, over 20€ for 100 grams of ultra-processed frozen fries, around 100 grams of turkey, sauce from the package, and 50 grams of warmed onions with 5 green beans, the food came cold at the table. The only good thing was the terrace, the service was also OK.

Food great, pay catastrophe We had a really tasty meal and then wanted to pay - with a card. That was problematic. The card payment didn't work. However, this was nowhere signposted or communicated. Then the waiter sent us to different ATMs to withdraw cash. Some of the machines were inaccessible due to construction sites or did not accept our cards. Run back and forth for 30 minutes. In the end, a working card machine was pulled out with which we were able to successfully pay for everything in 2 minutes. Unfortunately, it wasn't a perfect evening for us.
