I'm reviewing this hotel: I love this place and we come about every two months. The large rooms with the magnificent view from the balcony are my highlight. We always travel with our dog, Vito, who is wonderfully cared for and welcome here... which unfortunately isn't always the case. We've stayed in many hotels in Munich, but for us, the Inselmühle is unbeatable. The price/performance ratio is absolutely fair... we find the breakfast selection perfectly adequate and delicious... the price is unbeatable. The charming decor in this beautiful building, the location right next to the park... I'm not just completely satisfied here, I'm absolutely delighted ❤️

I was here for a business lunch. We found a great ambiance and a very pleasant atmosphere. All the dishes were excellent and cooked to perfection. The service was very good, but not always attentive or immediately available. We will definitely come back.

We didn't stay at the hotel ourselves, we only visited the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious. They offered several traditional dishes as well as a few Asian options. I had the pho noodle soup and it was fantastic! We were all very happy with the meal! The schnitzel was also very tasty.

A lovely and well-equipped room. Convenient location, a nice park and bus stops right outside, and the S-Bahn (suburban train) is a good 10-minute walk away. The breakfast buffet wasn't quite up to par for the price. The cheapest jam and hazelnut spread were served in disposable plastic containers.

I've often stayed at the Hotel Inselmühle in Munich-Untermenzing, most recently on Sunday: Since the change of ownership in 2025, the previously wonderful atmosphere has disappeared. No more people, no shoehorn, and no paper for notes in the room. Instead, there's a hefty parking fee.

We dined at Restaurant Innere Mühle with three adults and two children and were absolutely delighted. The ambiance is stylish and sophisticated without feeling stuffy – you immediately feel at ease. The staff was incredibly professional, attentive, and warm from beginning to end. The food was outstanding: finely balanced flavors, perfect preparation, and beautiful presentation. You can truly taste the skill and passion that goes into the kitchen. The children were also very well included – which isn't always the case in a fine-dining restaurant. The service, ambiance, and quality of the food absolutely justify the prices. A place you'll definitely want to return to. Highly recommended! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We celebrated our wedding at the Insel Mühle in September and also stayed overnight at the hotel. The venue is incredibly beautiful and the team decorated it perfectly. The outdoor ceremony in the nature reserve behind the hotel was an absolute highlight. The service was extremely attentive and friendly. The hotel rooms are beautiful and spacious. We highly recommend it; in our opinion, it's the best place in Munich for a wedding reception.

Review regarding the InselMühle hotel: - Rooms were quite good with a lot of space, balcony and in good condition - Self check-in and NO breakfast or water offered while the fare was EUR 160 (!!) per night - Far from the city of Munich - the taxi will cost you ~EUR 40-50 to get there, and with public transport it will be Train + Bus + Walk... - Surrounding suburbs area is quite gloomy - Not client oriented. I made an error with my direct booking (not via agencies - so hotel would save on commissions) and instead of one nights booked two. No voucher or refund was offered with a reference to "no show" policy. Finally I paid EUR 320 for one night stay

We ate at a restaurant again and enjoyed delicious flavors in a sophisticated, relaxed, and historic atmosphere. The walk along the Würm River was also wonderful.

I had an extremely unpleasant experience with this hotel. A few days before our trip, my husband injured his leg, and I immediately wrote to the hotel asking them to reschedule the trip. I explained the situation in detail and even offered to provide a doctor's note. At first, my emails were simply ignored. Then I reached someone by phone and was told I could choose new dates because the dates I suggested were already fully booked. I agreed and wrote back later with different dates. Again, I received no response. When I called again, I received the answer: "We have reviewed the situation again and decided that we will not offer you accommodation." So, at first, they agreed—and then changed their minds. Instead of showing human understanding, I experienced only ignorance, constant rejections, and additional stress. Therefore, I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. All they care about is making money—not caring about their guests.

Innsemühle in Munich – an absolute dream location! ✨ Beautiful ambiance, stunning gardens, an outstanding hotel, and above all, fantastic food. I'd especially like to highlight the fantastic team, especially restaurant manager Gökhan, who does a fantastic job. The location is a dream for outdoor weddings: The garden, the grounds, and the many opportunities for breathtaking photos make every ceremony unforgettable. As a wedding photographer, I'm always thrilled to be there. A location I can highly recommend to everyone. 💯

This review is only for the beer garden. This used to be a very nice beer garden. Unfortunately, it's no longer that way. We only went there once last year because we were so disappointed. Now we wanted to try it again in the hope that things had improved. Unfortunately, no luck ☹️ The prices are outrageously high compared to the quality of the food. The food tastes bland and cheap. The restrooms are dirty, there's no toilet paper, and the service is absolutely terrible! The man at the drinks counter was very rude to me, and the fishmonger asked me to come back in 5 minutes after I ordered a fish from him. When I came back exactly 5 minutes later, he said he had no more fish and I should come back in about 15 minutes. Sorry, but that's not the kind of service you want.

Nice place and next to a beer garden. Very old building but kept well and everything is newly furnished. Near train station . Highly recommend

Went back after our first disappointing visit to the beer garden. Unfortunately, it didn't get any better. The shady location under the trees is still a dream—it could be so beautiful. However, the food is still not good, and above all, the price-performance ratio is not right. For the second time, fries have been left in the fryer for too long. The staff just can't do it. The currywurst was blandly seasoned. It was edible, but it was absolutely subpar. The spare ribs tasted okay, but for the hefty price, they were a mini portion that was actually weighed down to the exact gram. We felt a sense of embarrassment while they were weighing the ribs and scraping off the excess portion. We wondered what punishment awaited the staff member if they had left the 5 grams of meat fiber in the portion. In any case, we have decided not to visit this beer garden again.

Regarding the restaurant: mediocre food at high prices. We had the Wiener Schnitzel, and for €31 you get a mini portion. It's heavily breaded, and the meat inside is wafer-thin. It's a joke that they serve something like that!

A bit small beer garden and sometimes crowded

Regarding the beer garden, I can say that the seating is exceptionally pleasant and comfortable. Drinks are expensive. The food—we had pork knuckles and chicken—was subpar in taste, and the portion size wasn't worth the price.

There were no guests at the hotel, so we met 12 people on the terrace.

We love the hotel; the new rooms are really great. Only the breakfast has room for improvement. The staff is slow, all the egg cups are broken, and the coffee takes forever to make. The selection could also be larger/better.

Only the beer garden is being reviewed. The location is very beautiful, shady, by the stream, and surrounded by beautiful large trees. Hence the 3 stars. Unfortunately, it no longer truly deserves that name. It's evolving from a traditional beer garden to an outdoor dining area (which is quite decent, though not above average). The grilled fish is delicious, the beer is too, and the food available for purchase is okay. Unfortunately, as is usual in a proper Bavarian beer garden, you're hardly allowed to bring anything in (even salads are forbidden). Sorry, but it doesn't deserve the name and is misleading.

The beer garden is located on the water, which adds to the ambiance. It's ideal for families thanks to the large playground. The only minor drawback is that only mackerel is available for purchase on the smoker grill, and you have to wait about 40 minutes for your trout. Still, it's incredibly pleasant.

Our room was €120 (Saturday to Sunday, without breakfast), which was quite expensive for what it offered and the remote location. Our room was quite small, but the biggest drawback was the lack of air conditioning. The hotel is not suitable for people with mobility issues, as there is no elevator, only a steep staircase, which is obviously due to the historic nature of the building. There was nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness. However, it is odd for a hotel in this price range that the reception is only open for a few hours. We certainly won't be returning to this establishment again.

I'm reviewing this beer garden for its excellent location, prices, and quality. We stopped here on a bike tour and were able to park our bikes safely within sight. The Obazda (traditional Bavarian sausage) and pretzels were excellent. The staff were very friendly, and card payments were easy. If you prefer something more exclusive, you'll also find great wines and freshly smoked trout here. I really like the beer garden and would happily return.

You're looking forward to a relaxing summer evening. You drive (or cycle!) to the Inselmühle, looking forward to a cold beer in the beautiful beer garden, and are just sitting there, enjoying yourself – and then he comes. The man with the bell. Yes, you read that right. No joke. A real person with a real bell walks through the beer garden and calls out "Last round!" – and not at 10 p.m., not even at 8 p.m., no: it's around 6:30 p.m. The only other time that the bakery closes that early. But the Inselmühle? It's obviously sensitive to the weather. Because the sky was darkening. That's correct. It wasn't raining. There was no wind. There was no thunder. It was just a bit gray. Some would say: ideal beer garden weather. Not too hot, not too sunny. But apparently, a slight flutter of clouds on the horizon is enough to trigger panic at the Inselmühle. Or a longing for the end of the shift. Or both. Because lo and behold: the bell rings, the service stops, the beer runs dry – and all this while the beer garden is half full of guests who are still thirsty, hungry, or just in the mood for a cozy evening. And what do you do instead? You sit there, like it's the last day of school before the summer holidays – only the teachers (sorry, the service staff) no longer wave, but rather disappear. And you wonder why you even came. Maybe because you thought hospitality was a concept taken seriously here. Maybe because you hoped you could actually order a second beer in a traditional beer garden – without feeling like you were being a bit too demanding. What's left? Half a beer. An empty stomach. And a bitter aftertaste of "We'd better finish early today, let the guests go somewhere else." No sooner said than done: We won't be back. ... But thanks for the glockenspiel – that was new at least.

I'm usually more likely to be found in a beer garden, but this time I wanted to try the restaurant's cuisine and was unfortunately very disappointed. I ordered a Risotto Milanese with chanterelles for €19. The risotto was just long-grain rice and far from a proper risotto. The whole peppercorns weren't a great taste sensation either, and the overall seasoning was very bland. It's a shame that this was a disappointing experience for this institution.

The Inselmühle is a small beer garden directly on the Würm River, where local residents meet to enjoy a beer, a shandy, or other cold drinks. The grilled fish and chicken are also legendary.

Worst beer garden in Munich! Very bad food, very high prices, and no service!

The InselMühle beer garden is one of the most beautiful around. The small stream and the delicious food invite you to linger. Augustiner beer in an iced mug is absolutely amazing.

We had a superior triple room on the first floor. The room and bathroom were very large and ultra-modern, with cooking facilities, but no pots and pans. However, there was no elevator or air conditioning. Instead, there was a balcony and a large glass front. Breakfast for €10 was okay, but simple. Parking was behind a barrier. The staff all seemed a bit unmotivated to us.

We came as a family and booked two rooms. The rooms weren't adjacent, not even on the same floor. Having two small children registered is a disgrace. The breakfast wasn't good either; everything was empty and eaten, no juice, and you had to ask for coffee. The rooms were clean and great. The beer garden was fantastic. All in all, the service really ruined it for us.

The service and quality have declined significantly, and after my last experience yesterday, this was also my last visit to the restaurant. I had reserved a table for 8 people online and indicated "beer garden" in the comments. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were told they wouldn't accept reservations for the beer garden, even though I had received an online reservation confirmation. We actually wanted to sit on the restaurant's terrace, not the adjacent beer garden. We weren't offered a table, even though half the tables remained free the entire evening.

I’ve only been to the Restaurant and beergarden. I might be inclined to say, that this is the best Biergarten in Munich. Lovely location, well distributed with a little creek flowing by and fish and ducks Mingleling with the crowd. Food is great. Best place to enjoy a beer after work.

This review refers to the restaurant and beer garden: Restaurant: Unimaginative menu. Cobwebs on the railing, trash in the water. Food not up to the price or location. Service friendly, but unprofessional. Beer garden: Pretzels old and with freezer burn. Food old, pressed sausage had a patina. Beer was cold and good. We won't be back.

The beer garden is beautiful, but my shandy was so carbonated that it didn't taste good at all. When I tapped the beer, I also noticed that the shandy was about 25% carbonated, or diluted with water with lots of fizz. That's not fitting for Munich, and the price is completely unreasonable. This has to be better...

We often go to the beer garden, which is in a great location on the bike path. The service is always super friendly. We'll be happy to come back.

🌳 A beautiful beer garden with lots of charm – but still with some room for improvement. I was back at the Inselmühle last week – and as always, the atmosphere is simply fantastic. You sit wonderfully under the trees, overlooking the water, and immediately feel like you're on a short vacation. I was particularly pleased that a former owner is back – it brings back familiarity and heart. I would still like to point out a few things: I found the spare ribs for €17 a bit too pricey – especially compared to the Waldwirtschaft in Munich, where a larger portion costs €12.50. Even the liter of beer at €10 is already approaching the upper limit. The other dishes are also on the higher end. And: The "large pretzel" has shrunk a bit in the meantime 😉 – perhaps it can grow a bit in the future. Conclusion: A truly beautiful place with a lot of potential and soul – if the price-performance ratio is adjusted a bit, the Inselmühle is a real gem.

Unfortunately umbrellas in the beer garden

Nice beer garden. But the cost of a beer garden visit is no longer normal.

Reference to the Beergarden only: half a chicken 12.5 EUR and dry. That is not appropriate and in relation to the quality. Beergarden located very nicely, but too expensive.

The ambiance in the restaurant is really nice, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. The vitello tonnato was very dry, with barely any sauce – unfortunately, the flavor wasn't convincing. The schnitzel was also bland and poorly prepared. The beer had no carbonation – almost stale. Unfortunately, the value for money wasn't right for us at all. A real shame!

Update 6/18/25: Beer garden review: A very nice beer garden, right on the Würm River, with a liter of ice (now €11). When it's busy, it takes a while. The food is unfortunately mediocre. The owner works there himself, probably due to a lack of staff. He's a bit grumpy now and then! Still, it's okay!

In the beer garden the prices and the amount you get are no longer okay.

Preliminary information: We've stayed here twice already. Positive: Beautiful room (attic with sloping ceiling and plenty of space). Nice surroundings and a lovely garden with a small stream. Negative: We received a call one day before check-in saying that the room was gone. Due to a staff shortage, no one would be at the reception and the key card had to be retrieved from a safe at the entrance. This was easily done. The breakfast was really bad, though. It was really meager, never refilled, and the two employees were visibly overwhelmed, although they tried hard. The breakfast also lasted an hour. I then learned that the hotel had voluntarily given up one star. But I've never experienced a lack of scrambled eggs, not even in a two-star hotel... An external guest who was with us but hadn't stayed at the hotel was then asked to pay €20 – but the breakfast wasn't worth more than €10. Conclusion: All in all, we don't know if we'll come back again. The hotel itself is really nice, and the staff is quite friendly. However, there currently seem to be major staffing issues, which is causing the quality to drop significantly, and this is noticeable in several places.

It's all about the beer garden! Super friendly staff, thank you so much. Guys, where is the icebox for the cold glasses and drinks? Too bad, I always enjoyed cycling to you from the Würm Valley. Please reinstate it so that a visit remains a truly memorable experience.

We only visited the beer garden. It was a lovely spot with a stream. The food was good. The beer was a bit expensive. But overall, it was a very cozy beer garden.

One of the best beer gardens in Munich! The place is absolutely beautiful on a sunny weekend to sit down and relax with friends and family! I love every single dish that was created and served! Starting with pommes (fresh and crispy) and then to the bavarian Obatzda and the fresh Kuchen and Brezel! An absolute delight! Will be back for more 😋

You can't get married in Munich in a more idyllic setting. I've had the privilege of accompanying several couples as a wedding singer at the Inselmühle. A fantastic location for a non-denominational ceremony and wedding. Plus, the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Wonderful!

Unfortunately, my original hotel reservation for three single rooms, which I had booked months in advance, was canceled by the hotel via WhatsApp two days before arrival due to alleged overbooking. The only alternative I was offered was a hotel with a lower star rating, which did not meet my expectations or the standard I had originally booked. The last-minute cancellation and the offered alternative were disappointing and significantly impacted my travel plans. Since you can't be sure of getting the booked room, I cannot recommend the Hotel Inselmühle.

I was there last weekend. Service was poor, everyone except one was too slow and inattentive. Rooms were okay -> tiles were broken, etc. Not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs. Wooden steps/bridge were rotten, wobbly, and dilapidated. High chairs were wobbly and extremely dirty. Breakfast = chaos -> everything was empty, completely overwhelmed... And the location for a wedding event was a mess! Drinks were chaotic, food was too little, appetizers were served too late, waiters didn't speak German. No sign of comfort or service! Absolutely disappointing!

Beer Garden Self-Service Counter, Essen, May 19, 2025: The chicken and fries in the beer garden were inedible. The half chicken was very dry and not crispy. The fries were simply soggy and tasteless. The salad was ice cold, the dressing was also terrible, and the same was true of the baked potato with sour cream. Everything was way too expensive for the quality. The location is beautiful, and the beer is delicious, too...!

We went to the restaurant; the food was good, and the service was friendly. However, after almost two hours, despite a large order and without asking for any further requests, we were asked to pay. The restaurant still had a few tables available, so waiting guests weren't the reason. That was our last visit to the Inselmühle.

I like the place at it has a beautiful garden with a river, and kids can play around.

I'm incredibly surprised by this hotel and its facilities. Since the bankruptcy and the new tenant's takeover, the offerings and service have been lacking. The room was missing towels and not entirely clean. The highlight was the breakfast. It was top-notch months ago and now it's a complete flop. There was hardly any choice, you had to constantly ask for everything. You had to boil your own eggs, which were often gone because another guest took them. There were no extras like scrambled eggs and the like. Sorry, but we definitely won't be coming back.

Mega beautiful beer garden with a relaxed atmosphere

Tradition meets modernity! Arrive and feel at home – that's what happened to us! A very pleasant atmosphere both in the hotel and in the restaurant! A very friendly international team looked after us perfectly for three days! Thank you very much for that! The food was delicious and plentiful, and the service there was also very good from the cheerful team! The outdoor seating was also very nice, right next to the rushing Würm River! And the transport connections were excellent – ​​just 20 minutes from Marienplatz!

Reserved without breakfast and didn't take advantage of it. I was two weeks behind on the bill. After confirming three times that the invoice would be sent to me or had already been sent, my calls were ignored. After contacting our accounting department, the invoice was finally sent. Now I know why I waited in vain for the bill. I was charged for breakfast that I didn't reserve or use!

We were incredibly lucky to celebrate our wedding on the Insel Mühle. The location is a dream, the team is warm, accommodating and fulfills all wishes. I would especially like to thank Mr. Gökhan Gökboga. He was our contact person, always there for us, warm, uncomplicated, fulfilled all of our extras and always gave a little more. The food, the selection of drinks, the set and decorated tables, everything was perfect! I can only recommend the Insel Mühle to everyone as a wedding or event location. In order to celebrate without restrictions, we and some of our guests spent the night in the attached hotel. Here too I can only give one recommendation! The rooms are very nice and the team here is flexible and very welcoming! It was a wonderful wedding all around! Thank you very much!

Today we went to the Inselmühle beer garden because of the beautiful location. The beer was cold and tasty - the food was unreasonable. The meatballs we ordered were of inferior, compact and industrial quality, as you would expect from ready-made products from discount stores - and they tasted accordingly. The emphasis here is obviously on quantity and margin - a shame, once and never again.

Unfriendly staff and sometimes outrageous prices for the quality/quantity offered (sausage salad). Here too, as in many Munich beer gardens, the customer is just a money pig who wants to be milked, but the location is nice..

Edit 4/25: After the previous tenant/operating company (Naturglück… GmbH) went bankrupt in January, things somehow continued. The beer garden is now run by the former tenant Mr. P., who many years ago simply closed it and threw people out. At least he was very confident in himself, the beer garden manager after all. Let's see how it turns out this time, when he was gone the sadness was limited. Hopefully this is all just temporary and good tenants will come for this beautiful place! Old review, but maybe salads are ok again now: Oh well…. The beer garden itself is beautifully landscaped! However, it is probably the only beer garden where you are not allowed to bring salads (!) (the sign has already been posted here several times, so I saved the photo). Incredible actually!! Instead, please buy the Mini Mini Mini Sausage Salad - it's so small that it's almost vegetarian - for 9.50. I've never seen such a small sausage salad. The currywurst wasn't really heated through but was cold on the inside and there was no proper sauce for our spare ribs, only barbecue ketchup sauce at the ketchup station. I would describe the food as a total flop - but please don't bring pasta or sausage salad! The beautiful ambience of the beer garden was also disturbed by a party next door that was blaring loudly from a DJ at the restaurant. The staff was friendly but that doesn't help if the food doesn't taste good and you end up in a concert from the 80s.

Between wooden chairs, a pork roast and a pretzel – zach and durr – the past celebrates itself under “new” management. Unfortunately without any quality standards. Quantity instead of class. I give one star because the staff really tries hard. Doesn't help - but wiedakemma? Certainly not.

Quiet and family-friendly small beer garden right on the river next to the Hotel Inselmühle. Delicious beer from the Augustiner brewery, hearty food at reasonable prices. Friendly staff. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

I'm just referring to the beer garden, which I hadn't visited for 2 years now. I'd like to refer to what I said before: you're right, the staff is very friendly, but being thrown out at 8:30 p.m. leaves a bad aftertaste. We were there on Easter Saturday, Schank was quick. For dinner, I had the beef roulade with dumplings and red cabbage (10.50.-) and my wife had the duck legs with the same as a side dish (12.50.-). For the beer garden in a fantastic location, these prices are more than reasonable. Taste perfect. The pretzels at the checkout were even lukewarm. Can't find any points of criticism like the predecessor.

For me the best beer garden in Munich. Fantastic location on the Würm, great food, nice staff! Unfortunately, I have to adjust my review now (April 2025). The Currwurst has shrunk and is now only available with a shrunken portion of fries, but the price has risen to 11.50 euros, the wheat beer is not completely full, the Currwurst is cold. Sorry guys, it doesn't work that way. We'll try again, and if it doesn't get better, we'll bring our own food. And if things get better, I'll adjust my rating again.

Möglicherweise haben wir einen schlechten erwischt. In dieser Preisklasse darf das Schnitzel nicht aus der Fritteuse kommen. Die beiden vegetarischen Risotto-Gerichte waren sehr gut. Der Tafelspitz hatte zähe Fett- und Flachsstellen. Das Wirsinggemüse dazu war wunderbar. Bei gehobenem Preisniveau sollten alle Getränke auf der Karte verfügbar sein!

I was a guest at a wedding reception. The island of Mühle is incredibly beautiful, you are surrounded by a lot of water and it is very green. The food was excellent and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. All in all, highly recommended - I'll be back! :-)

Beer garden: finally the food and drink can keep up with the location!

So the beer garden is super nice, really nice, staff friendly but what I absolutely have to complain about is when I see how the boss treats his staff and it's obvious and that's why my rating is like this. It doesn't work at all.

What else can you say other than - MEGA. We knew before our own wedding there (April 5th, 2025) that the inselmühle was a fantastically beautiful location. But it was only through our wedding that we learned that the staff and the preparation of our event were fantastic. The Inselmühle staff, especially our contact person gökhan, made planning and preparation particularly easy and easier for us. Communication was direct (primarily WhatsApp), always pragmatic, quick and courteous. But the preparations weren't the only positive thing. The staff that accompanied us (both in front of and behind the scenes) did a great job. With super friendly staff AND an excellent menu, nothing stood in the way of our perfect event. 😊 In our experience, we can only recommend the Inselmühle as a location to everyone. p.s. Sleeping in the next morning and having breakfast in the attached hotel with very nice rooms also felt good. I would also recommend that as a bonus 🙃

Beautiful beer garden on the outskirts of Munich. Very idyllic location directly on the Würm. Typical dishes for a beer garden of very good quality.

Very good food in a beautiful restaurant, stylish atmosphere. Price wise on the upper level! The surrounding idyllic beer garden with the small river Würm invites you to linger and in the middle of the city of Munich 🤗 a very beautifully designed facility!

The service and staff are super friendly and do their best, but unfortunately the food in the restaurant is really not worth the money. Fried potatoes floating in oil, over-soured, loveless salads, cooking points are not met, dishes that are offered online are out at 7 p.m., serving on plates is 0 but at least €30 per dish, you expected more... Staff top, food flop

My in-laws bought us a voucher here for our wedding anniversary. So 4 months later we decided to use it. Upon trying to pay they tried to tell us it wasn't valid, despite them selling us it 4 months previously. Tried to claim it had to be used in 2024, despite the voucher saying it had to be used within 3 years. Then they tried to tell us if we didn't pay it, it would come out the waiters wage. Which is obviously illegal and completely false. Wanted us to pay again then sort it out the next day, which we didn't want to do. After numerous calls between the boss and the waiter and having to hang around for an additional 30 mins, the waiter told us to just go. No apologies, just go. Wouldn't go back there, terrible customer service. However the food was quite nice though.

One of the best hotel rooms I have ever seen in this price segment. The attached restaurant is very cozy and serves excellent food. Overall, highly recommended!

Very tasty food! Tafelspitz and Coq au Vin were to die for. The only drawback: the non-alcoholic light beer came unrefrigerated. When we asked kindly, the waitress brought a few ice cubes…

We stayed here for 2 nights. There had to be something in the green because we had our 13 year old Labrador with us. Our first room was cozy under the attic. When the nice employee saw that we had to carry our dog upstairs, she spoke to us and said she could offer us a room on the ground floor today. We are very grateful for such dedication and customer friendliness. We can fully recommend the island of Mühle. The rooms are very tastefully and comfortably furnished, very clean and very quiet. I find the breakfast very balanced. If you don't get enough, it's your own fault. There is something for everyone. Parking spaces are directly in front of the house. You can reach the center in 20 minutes by car. Right next door you can go for a walk along the Mühlbach.

Very poor sound insulation. With the windows closed, you stand vertically in bed as soon as an emergency service or police drive through the intersection with a signal. The racers also compete to see which exhaust is louder. Until late at night. Unfortunately you can't sleep

The hotel is an oasis on the edge of the small Würm Auwald nature reserve. Lovingly designed ambience, good quality food (priced higher). There are both modern, recently renovated rooms as well as more rustic, but still very nice rooms. Everything seems well thought out and implemented with a lot of passion. The fireplace room with adjoining bar directly above the Würm, with a glass-floor view of the water, is one of the highlights. The attentive, friendly and very competent receptionist Ms. Fedler deserves special mention. We'd love to come back.

A long time ago I had the opportunity to do an internship at Insel Mühle and I look back on this experience very positively. The working atmosphere was extremely pleasant and the team was always friendly and helpful. I was able to learn a lot, both in the hotel sector and in the catering industry, and was always well supported. I was particularly impressed by the beautiful location directly on the Würm and the attention to detail that was noticeable everywhere in the house - whether in the hotel, in the restaurant or in the beer garden. The internship was a valuable experience that I would recommend at any time. Many thanks to the entire team at Insel Mühle!

We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is located on the city limits, but you can reach Marienplatz within 10 minutes by S-Bahn. The staff is very friendly and the room was excellent. Bed also very comfortable. We'd love to come back

Every evening there was a lot of noise due to an event below the hotel room. Complaints were not possible because the reception had already closed early. Service staff at breakfast often disappeared for long periods of time.

We were thrilled. If we do Munich again, this accommodation will definitely be at the top. The rooms are great. The staff is friendly and motivated. Breakfast varied and something for everyone. In addition, the connection to the S-Bahn directly into the center should be mentioned. A 10-minute walk to the S-Bahn is an ideal location and very attractive with a group ticket

A very nice hotel. The watercourses and the lock from the old mill wheel are very idyllic. The sound of the water is calming. You can relax in this hotel.

I'm only reviewing the restaurant here. We were a small group of 8 and everyone was very happy with the food. My onion roast was excellent. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy. When we wanted to pay separately, we were all asked to come to the cash register so that the waitress could split directly from the cash register. I can understand this with a large group. But not with 8 people. When two of our group commented that they didn't actually know the procedure and would like to pay at the table, the waitress' answer was that she had been up for 12 hours. Then she doesn't bother anymore. In short, that's not possible in a restaurant in this price range. It's a shame, because this approach left a bad taste
