We had dinner at Mariandl with external guests (eight people in total) after a course. Five of us ordered the roast pork, which was served cold to all five of us. We pointed this out to the waiter, he took the plates back and after five minutes brought the five sliced ​​pork roast plates back and simply put them in front of us, but didn't know which plate belonged to whom. We then tried to distribute the plates correctly among ourselves. Apart from the worst food we Munich residents have had in a long time, the service was simply a complete disgrace.

I like this type of coffeehouse, but it could use a repaint. That wouldn't help the toilet anymore, but... As a specialty coffee lover, I recommend avoiding the coffee there.

We were here for dinner. The ambience was pleasant. The service was good, although I would have liked someone to proactively tell me which dishes were no longer available. The quality of the food, however, did not justify the high prices. My friend's lentil soup and Wiener schnitzel were ok. The marinated vegetables (as a starter) only tasted like vinegar. The napkin dumpling was missing from my roast pork, but I only noticed this after clearing it away. The potato dumpling consisted of a solid mass that lacked any seasoning. The same goes for the coleslaw and the gravy. The orange parfait, which was supposed to be a dessert, largely lacked sweetness. It was also too frozen. Poor craftsmanship probably describes it best. Which is a shame - my girlfriend and I had our first date here and therefore have a certain positive memory of the restaurant, but we probably won't come back again.

Very nice atmosphere, very tasty breakfast!!

We came across the cafe while looking for a nice breakfast place. The card sounded appealing. Unfortunately, the service was quite unfriendly, for example my question as to whether it would be possible to get a little more jam instead of cheese was brushed off rather rudely, even though it was Monday and the cafe was almost empty, so the service or kitchen team in the room was not overwhelmed stood. The breakfast itself was just bad. I have never eaten such bad rolls, tiny, pale, dry. The baguette was probably from the day before, brittle and holey and dry. The muesli with fresh fruit consisted mostly of raisins, the fruit was a rotten apple. I found the cappuccino with oat milk for €6.20 to be absolutely cheeky. I will definitely never have breakfast here again.

Absolutely bad! There were three tables next to us occupied and after 10-15 minutes we still hadn't received a card. Even eye contact with the waitress didn't help, after 10-15 minutes we left. The main thing is that the two waitresses had time to have a fun conversation!

I was there during the Oktoberfest vacation, and found a cozy, traditional atmosphere with decent beer and soups, way cheaper than some of the stands. Food was okay at best, though.

Wonderful place in the middle of Munich

Went here for breakfast, it took forever, really forever, for the food to arrive... oatmeal with a dollop of yogurt... you can't eat that like that. Way too dry. Really disappointing :/

I went here with my 10 year old son for breakfast at 11 on a Saturday. I had the fried egg, which was quite good. But if you write "Nutella" on the menu, it should be Nutella and not any other nut nougat cream. You can see the soft-boiled egg according to the menu in the photo... The "bread basket" was full of baguette, not even real bread. Breakfast is offered here until 4 p.m., then the quality should be good. The service was OK, although the waiter could have been a little nicer and not so listless and bored.

I really wonder where the 4.3 stars come from here? My salad wasn't even cut properly, it was all put together and it tasted so sour. The service was nice but very, very slow, considering that I only ordered a salad and there wasn't much going on. Coffee is also not recommended.

One of the top places in Munich!

The food was okay or bad. The eggs were burnt and not runny at all. The muffin was drier than sand. The chicken salad was small and the chicken was over salted. But the worst offense was that all our food came out at completely different times, one person got served and then 10 minutes later the next person would get their food even though we all ordered at the same time. Don't come here and go anywhere else.

Actually a beautiful café with a nice garden. Unfortunately it took about 40 minutes until we got drinks and another 30 minutes until breakfast came. And that even though there was nothing going on when we arrived. Breakfast was OK but nothing special...

So I felt incredibly sorry for the waitress because she had to carry out everything. Super nice and competent in itself, but the kitchen really isn't at all. We waited over an hour for scrambled eggs and raw vegetables. Prices for this are also not justified. Food doesn't taste good, scrambled eggs are way too greasy, you can hardly taste the egg or tomato anymore. There is actually no yogurt in the yogurt and only oat flakes. So really not recommended. I'd rather go anywhere else.

Very long wait until breakfast arrived but ok. Breakfast itself was nothing special, not bad but not great either. But the service at the end was terrible. I pay 30 euros and the lady asks in a harsh tone “and tip??”. I say I thought it was expensive enough, then she disappears without saying goodbye and without giving me a glance. Underground staff. Unfortunately the food is a disgrace. We went there for dinner twice during the European Championships. The roast pork was miserable. Cold, brown sauce with no taste and a loveless dumpling that only tasted of nutmeg. Unfortunately, it's unfortunate because the garden would be very nice.

We came based on a recommendation, but unfortunately we can't recommend the café at all. After initially quick service with orders and drinks, we sat for about half an hour and waited for our food while our waitress wiped down tables outside. Your colleagues obviously didn't feel responsible for their tables either and when we asked about our food they just referred us back to our waitress. When the food finally came, when I was asked whether it had taken so long to cook the food, I was told I shouldn't complain to her but rather on the Internet!? To make matters worse, the toilets were also rather unhygienic. Unfortunately, the espresso on the house didn't make up for the hassle. We certainly won't be coming back here and can only advise others not to.

Staying in the beer garden was very pleasant in the beautiful sunshine. I ordered the salad with chicken breast, the chicken pieces came with black, charred spots, Lettuce with shredded stalk and lame outer leaves chopped into coarse pieces, tomatoes greenish.

The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere. The service is very good. But the most beautiful thing is the music. There is a piano player who plays incredibly beautiful songs for quite a while. This creates a particularly nice atmosphere in the restaurant!

I've known this café for decades. Always enjoyed being there. Now I was having coffee and cake with friends. The cakes were really bad, and expensive. Dried out, too sweet, hardly any fruit. The coffee was also mediocre, my iced coffee came when the others were already ready, the ice cream had melted by now. Instead of an apology, I was also insulted. Because I was dissatisfied at lunch a few weeks earlier, this was unfortunately the last time. Very unfortunate. The star just for the ambience and the nice garden.

Breakfast is really not to be recommended when choosing the single options, dry toast and an overcooked egg, no butter or anything extra. Yogurt with fruits also a very boring option, maybe these should only go as sides to the main breakfast?

We were registered for brunch with a group of just over 50 people. Unfortunately, the service was overwhelmed, made a booking error and, on top of that, was unfriendly in the chaos. It took more than an hour to wait for drinks or food and orders often came that were missing something, so we had to wait more than 30 minutes again. The food, my Kaiserschmarren, tasted like it came out of the fryer - others didn't like it either.

Absolute disaster. The restaurant is nice, but that's about it. If you know that a large group is making a reservation for breakfast, the minimum expectation is to have enough staff in the kitchen and in service. Nothing worked for less than an hour waiting time, the service was completely overwhelmed and ultimately sloppy. The price-performance ratio is simply an outrage and cannot be justified. A breakfast for two without hot drinks for €35 and then carelessly slapped goods, cold eggs, the raw food consisted of 1!! Carrot stick in a dip. Clear recommendation: go somewhere else.

Unfortunately, breakfast was really unappetizing and carelessly prepared. Scrambled eggs and omelets were burnt and greasy, Greek yogurt had clearly been scooped out of a bucket and slapped into the bowl. When I contacted the staff, they said, “It’s supposed to look like this” & “I don’t know what to say, the others like it too.”

The ambience is nice and special but the service really leaves a lot to be desired. My order was breakfast GEMA: 1 MUESLI WITH YOGURT, NUTS AND FRUITS, 1 SOFT BOILED EGG, TWO ORGANIC CHEESE, HONEY, RAW FOOD WITH DIP, 1/2 GRAPEFRUIT When a 3cm long carrot stick came in the dip for raw vegetables, I had the audacity to ask if I could get more that matched the description. Thankfully, another mini stick came with the winemaker's statement: You don't get that or anything more. Thank you for the service!

Food was not good at all. We had Chicken schnitzel and mango curry. The curry was salty. I couldnt finish my dish because it was so salty. They took an hour to get our food as well. Overall atmosphere is worth it, just drinks is fine.

Eine wahre Kunst so schlechtes grässliches verkochtes Essen zu produzieren, lieblos, geschmacklos und überteuert. Nettes Ambiente doch ein absolutes zum Essen.

Nice terrace for a sunny day, sadly paired with tough, overcooked meat, even after asking for “medium rare” and bland sauce. Worst part by far: the blue eyed, middle aged waiter that attended me shamelessly added +10% tip to herself in between me giving her my card and her introducing it in the machine. Never in my entire life I’ve experienced something so petty and low. Specially after such underwhelming lunch.

After 20 minutes of waiting, I and some of my companions were told that we had to order something else. I found the statement and wording very unfriendly from the waitress. The alternative food was so-so... I didn't particularly like it. A pity.

Wer zuviel Zeit hat in München, soll nur kommen! Denn die Bedienung ist zwar freundlich, aber die Küche leider unfähig: 1.5 h auf zwei Kaiserschmarrn gewartet und dann waren sie - kein Wunder - verbrannt ☹️

It is very stupid place ever in Munich with such rude people came there for playing and they stayed in a very small table without ordering anything and the waitress also didn’t asked them to a bit quiet!!! It was very annoying!!

Haben heute den Salat mit Hähnchenstreifen bestellt, war der schlechteste Salat den wir noch nicht mal aufgegessen haben. War total geschmacklos ohne Dressing und tiefgefrorenes Fleisch. Mussten alles voll bezahlen, gab nur einen Espresso als Entschädigungen. Nicht weiter zu empfehlen !!!

Leider war der Personalengpass am 1.1. hoch. Deshalb war Bedienung am rotieren. Wir mussten eine Stunde warten, für eine Wurstplatte. Salat war nicht wirklich frisch, auch wenn man die Feiertage für Anlieferung berücksichtigt, könnte das besser sein. Ambiente sehr angenehm, sogar mit Klavierspieler. Wenn Personalengpass nicht wäre, sicherlich eine ordentliche Adresse.

Nettes Ambiente mit Livemusik. Leider bringt das nichts, wenn zwei Servicekräfte zu wenig sind um die Mengen an Gästen zu händeln. Diese waren dabei nicht direkt unfreundlich, aber der Stress war ihnen deutlich anzumerken. Am Ende sind wir wieder gegangen, da unsere Bestellung nach über 30 min nicht aufgenommen wurde. Besonders ärgerlich war dabei, dass wir vorher angerufen hatten, um uns zu erkundigen, und uns am Telefon gesagt wurde "kommt einfach vorbei". Nächstes Mal bitte die Kunden vorwarnen und nicht einfach einladen.

Lassen Sie mich zunächst mit den positiven Aspekten beginnen. Das Lokal/Café besticht durch sein ansprechendes Ambiente und Flair. Das Personal ist freundlich und äußerst aufmerksam. Der Pianist, der für Livemusik sorgt, ist talentiert, und das Publikum ist bunt gemischt, freundlich und entspannt. Im Grunde also eine charmante Location. Wir haben unsere Weihnachtsfeier hier mit der Firma verbracht. Grundsätzlich war es entspannt und ohne Zeitdruck. Leider begannen die Herausforderungen bereits bei der Bestellung der Getränke. Es vergingen etwa 30 Minuten, bis sie am Tisch serviert wurden. Die Aufnahme der Essensbestellungen und die Auslieferung dauerten dann noch einmal eine Stunde. Obwohl wir eigentlich Zeit hatten, war dies etwas ungünstig. Die Vorspeisen enttäuschten, die Linsensuppe war lauwarm, und der Rest war bestenfalls durchschnittlich. Die Hauptgerichte waren leider eine komplette Enttäuschung. Kein einziger Teller wurde leer zurückgegeben. Mein Steak (medium bestellt) war kaum rosa, der Brokkoli kalt und das Kartoffelgratin eine undefinierbare, matschige Masse, die genauso gut als verkochter Knödel durchgehen könnte. Ein Kollege bestellte Schweinebraten, kommentierte aber mit "Der schmeckt komisch", und die Knödel wurden fast vollständig zurückgeschickt. Die Kollegin wählte Backhendl, das nicht nur kein halbes war, sondern auch trocken und der Kartoffelsalat war extrem sauer, fast vollständig zurückgegeben. Um den Geschmack des enttäuschenden Kartoffelsalats loszuwerden, wollte ich noch etwas trinken. Bei Preisen von fast 8€ für einen Obstler und unverschämt hohen Preisen für Grappa oder ähnliches, entschied ich mich für ein Pils (Flasche). Leider erhielt ich ein schmutziges Pilsglas und musste mich dann mit einem normalen Trinkglas begnügen. Mein Fazit: Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht, aber offensichtlich überfordert. Ich weiß nicht, was in der Küche vor sich geht, aber das, was serviert wird, ist wirklich schlecht. Es scheint, als ob kein ausgebildeter Koch im Team ist, der zumindest versuchen würde, die Qualität zu kontrollieren. Übrigens, wir haben auf eine Nachspeise verzichtet. Das vorgehende Essensangebot war einfach zu schlecht und wir waren alle mehr als enttäuscht. Da hatte keiner mehr lust auf einen neuen versuch. Ich denke nicht, dass einer von uns hierher zurückkehren wird, was eigentlich schade ist.

Eigentlich ein super Laden mit tollen Räumlichkeiten. Leider sind sowohl die Gerichte, als auch Kaffee und Kuchen in letzter Zeit immer schlechter und liebloser geworden.

We loved coming here for drinks. The staff was fun and they had fun music. The bathrooms were not amazing; nothing grossly remarkable but they stunk like urine enough that it feel dirty.

Das Café ist eine Institution. Trotz Wiesn cool und lässig.

Schenken sehr schlecht ein, teilweise nur zu 3/4 voll. Während der Wiesn gibt es eine reduzierte Abzock-Karte, die nochmal um einiges teurer ist als die normal schon teure Karte. Toller Biergarten.

Bedienung war sehr nett, Essen war gut, jedoch mussten wir recht lange aufs Essen warten.

Wir waren als Familie im Anschluss an die Wiesn am zweiten Wiesnwochenende zum Mittagessen dort. Leider ist uns auch aufgefallen, dass da aktuell ordentlich der Wurm drin ist. Die Bedienung wirkte komplett überfordert. Anscheinend hapert es aber auch in der Küche. Statt den Gästen zu kommunizieren dass es (aus welchen Gründen auch immer) länger dauert, wurde von ihr selbst die Opferrolle übernommen. Das Essen, das sehr lange gebraucht hat, war dann auch nicht die gewohnte Qualität, die ich von früher kannte. Nur der Klavierspieler war perfekt und hat die Warterei erträglich gemacht. Hier muss dringend was von oder an der GF geändert werden, sonst geht dieses traumhafte Lokal mit seinem tollen Flair gnadenlos vor die Hunde.

Wir waren am zweiten Wiesn-Sonntag für einen entspannten Mädelsbrunch dort, um anschließend noch über die Wiesn zu schlendern. Die Reservierung haben wir bereits vor Wochen erledigt und wir waren auch alle pünktlich vor Ort. Uns war natürlich klar, dass das Mariandl auch After-Wiesn macht und das sicher anstrengend für die Belegschaft ist, aber das hatten wir nun doch nicht erwartet. SERVICE Servicekraft war unfreundlich und ganz kurz vor unverschämt. Hat einen nicht angesehen, kam ewig nicht, war patzig, unaufmerksam und nicht einmal höflich. Ich erwarte ja keine Freudensprünge, aber Höflichkeit und ein anwesender Service sollte das Minimum sein, denn ansonsten kann man es auch einfach lassen. Das Essen kam erst ewig nicht, dann haben zwei ihr Frühstück bekommen und die beiden anderen erst als der Rest schon fertig war. Auf Nachfrage hieß es nur "ich bin nicht die Küche" - aha, aber der Service wäre sie gewesen und hätte dafür sorgen müssen, dass der Tisch gleichzeitig oder zumindest zeitnah geschickt wird! Keine Entschuldigung, keine Erklärung, warum ausgerechnet die Etagere (die dann auch halb auseinander fiel) zum Schluss kam. Entsprechend fiel das Trinkgeld aus, denn für nichts zahle ich auch nichts. Als wir kamen waren 3 Tische besetzt, also nicht wirklich viel zu tun und ja, das unkoordinierte Gewusel in der Küche haben wir schon bemerkt. ESSEN Das Rührei mit Lachs war furchtbar! Sah aus wie eine Restepfanne vom Vortag und schmeckte um ehrlich zu sein auch so. Trocken und nach Bratfett... Das Beste waren noch die Weißwürste und dafür kann das Café ja nichts. Die kalten Sachen auf der Etagere waren okay, aber mehr auch nicht und dank der wackeligen Konstruktion fielen sie einem schon entgegen. Der Räucherlachs hatte definitiv schon frischere Tage gesehen. Sehr enttäuschend! Das kann jede Bäckerei besser und ein schöner Brunchvormittag ist anders. RESTAURANT Ja, es ist Wiesnzeit, aber gerade auf dem WC sieht man deutlich, dass hier nicht investiert oder regelmäßig geputzt wird. Sorry, aber mit der Lage und dem Gästeaufkommen, sollte das schon anders sein als in einem alten Gasthaus im Wald. 1 Stern fürs Essen - hat die Weißwurst rausgerissen 1 Stern für Service - reine Anwesenheit 2 Sterne fürs Ambiente - Lage ist super, Location wäre es auch, wenn sauber Wer wirklich einen schönen Brunch haben will, ist hier falsch.

Ich habe noch nie so schlecht in einem Restaurant gegessen, wie hier. Heute haben ich für 9.80 Euro Ofenkartoffel mit Quark und Salat bestellt. Es kamen zwei Viertel verkochte kalte Kartoffeln, die dünn mit geschmacklosem Quark bestrichen waren, dazu ein bisschen Salat(dekoration) mit kaum Dressing. Ich habe vor dem Essen reklamiert (die freundliche Bedienung entschuldigte sich) und dann etwas gegessen, weil ich Hunger und keine Zeit hatte. Kurz vor dem Zahlen kam eine andere Bedienung und stellte mir kommentarlos einen lauwarmen Espresso hin. Auf Nachfrage sagte man mir "wegen der Reklamation". Wir erfuhren dann noch, dass die Aushilfe gerade kocht und dass man bei den Portionsgrößen eine genaue Anweisung von oben habe, wie groß die sein dürfen. Das Essen (Gröstl) meiner Begleitung war ok, aber weit entfernt von gut. Absolut keine Empfehlung. Das Lokal und der Garten sind sehr hübsch, die (eine) Bedienung freundlich, aber ich werde nicht mehr hingehen

Das 'Beethoven' ist ein wahrer Klassiker der Münchner Café-Kultur und kommt mit seiner Gaststube und dem hübschen Gartenbereich einem Wiener Kaffeehaus wohl am nächsten. Immer wieder fein, um sich bei einem 'Kleinen Braunen', 'Verlängerten' oder entspannten 'Achterl' mit Freunden zu treffen. En gros finde ich das Essen eher durchschnittlich und die Süßspeisen sind manchmal trocken, aber für einen Happen zum Lunch in Ordnung. Beim Service kommt es darauf an, an welches Teammitglied man gerät, aber in der Regel läuft alles flott & routiniert ab. Also: Cheers!🍷

Wir waren am Samstag morgen hier zu einem kleinen Frühstück und haben uns sehr unwohl gefühlt. Die Bedienung war einfach unfreundlich, die Früchte auf dem Frühstücksjoghurt waren nicht frisch sondern gefroren und zuletzt haben wir die ungeputzte Toilette gesehen. Nein, hier kommen wir nicht nochmal hin.

Sehr schönes Café, nettes Ambiente, live Musik ist sehr angenehm. Ich habe nichts gegessen, es sah aber alles sehr lecker aus.

Seit der Studienzeit in den 70er-Jahren eines meiner Stammlokale. Das Ambiente ist geblieben, dazu gekommen die abendliche Live-Musik. Der Klavierspieler ist eine Wucht und wir sind regelmäßige Gäste. Das wird auch so bleiben.

Wir waren im Garten und haben Klassentreffen gefeiert, Biergarten ist ruhig, wir hatten auch den hintersten Tisch, Service war superfreundlich und zuvorkommend, Essen war spitze. Uriges Café mit schönem alten Interrieur und Charakter, guter Speisekarte und natürlich wichtig für Münchner Biertrinker: Augustiner vom Fass!
