Overall, we had a very nice evening in the restaurant. The ambience is elegant and minimalist, and the service was super attentive and friendly. The dishes were not only a visual delight, but also perfectly balanced in terms of taste. It was obvious that a lot of attention was paid to detail and quality! Unfortunately, there were some organizational misunderstandings that marred the evening somewhat. There were six of us and we had ordered the vegetarian 5-course menu in advance for everyone, although we had also stated in advance that one lady in our group was lactose intolerant. However, when we arrived we discovered that the meat menu was on the table. When we asked, we were told that the vegetarian menu could not be printed out due to a technical problem. A little strange, but still understandable. After the first greeting from the kitchen, we were informed that a course had changed and that we would get another one instead. This is not a problem in principle, but as the evening progressed it became clear that for the lactose intolerant lady, some of the following courses contained lactose and no alternatives were offered. We later found out that there had been an organizational error in the kitchen, which was why they had incorrectly chosen six meat menus. A misunderstanding that can of course happen - I understand that. But with a three-figure amount just for the food, I expect more professionalism in dealing with such mistakes in this price range. Instead of communicating the situation openly, people tried to simply dismiss the change in gear for no reason. It is also disappointing that no alternative offers were made after the lactose intolerance was reported in good time. Of course, the lady in question still ate what she could, but something like that shouldn't happen at a restaurant in this price range, especially if the intolerance was known in advance. All in all, it was a nice evening with great food and ambience, but the organizational error and the way it was handled left a bad aftertaste. For a restaurant of this level, I expect more professional handling of such situations and more transparent communication. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant and can only agree with the positive reviews from other guests!

Super great food. Went here on a recommendation and were not disappointed. Small, fine and inconspicuous. One star deducted because payment is only possible in cash. That may be why there is such a good price-performance ratio. Still so annoying not to offer card payment in 2024.

Erstmal nicht wieder, Qualität der Speisen, Abholung im Imbiss, hat seit Sommer'24 sehr nachgelassen. Preise um 2€ erhöht. 2 Portionen = 24,40€ Die Ente war vorbereitet, totgebraten und wieder wahrscheinlich in der Mikro erhitzt. Zäh, Jede Menge Geschmacksverstärker. Schade, hatten uns gefreut.

So you definitely shouldn't miss the Hammelfest or the Oktoberfest here. The food is really great. The service was quick and very friendly. If you like to eat Schäufele, knuckles or delicious roasts, Gasthaus Traube is a must.

The food is very tasty, the service is friendly. The atmosphere is good, unfortunately there was a group there and therefore a bit too loud. The prices are for what is offered good.

Nice welcome, delicious food, good wine. We drove for an hour and a half, it was worth it.

We are happy to accept the long journey from Lohr am Main. The dishes are excellent. The ingredients are of top quality and culinary at their best. The portions are large so that you are sufficiently full. The price-performance ratio is top. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It is predominantly a family-run restaurant. Unfortunately it was closed even though Google said it was open! Please correct owner! Wasted time!

They cheated me out of 42 euros. Wanted to cancel a Lieferando order, called hours before delivery. The operator was allegedly technically unable to do this. It was agreed that I could request delivery a few days later. Since then I haven't been able to reach anyone there and it's now permanently closed. Thank you very much too!

If you like it rustic, you've come to the right place, some of the furniture has been preserved from the beginning, the food was great at a fair price, the service was friendly and with a joke on its lips, it's definitely worth it View the guest room on the 1st floor. It's a feast for the eyes. Thank you for keeping it so well received. Best of all, it's still German cuisine, I hope it stays that way. Thank you for allowing us to dine with you. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Only the room was very good, clean, with a balcony. The food was OK. However, communicating with the service was very difficult because they only spoke poor German. Instead of a dip as a repeat order, I received salad dressing for 5 times the price. The so-called whirlpool was completely outdated. The temperature was extremely cool at 24 degrees, we were promised 29 degrees, and the temperature in the swimming pool was so cool that after 30 minutes, even though I had to go to the room in my bathrobe, I had to take a hot shower for 30 minutes to avoid catching a cold. Salt cave costs an extra 9 euros, sauna is tiny. Both had to be registered 1 hour in advance. Infrared cabin defective. Nothing inviting that corresponds to a wellness area. Massage and cosmetics fully booked 6 weeks ago, with 1 single worker. Water and tea could be purchased in the swimming area for 1.50 euros. Parking costs 12 euros per night. Reception unfriendly, no welcome, instead 1 sentence: You are too early!! Collecting the service at the meal was a disaster, newcomers, it took forever until she could calculate the change. Very disappointed for the price of an expensive double room for 2 nights. Breakfast ok. Coffee good. All in all, we won't be coming back, it's a shame, the homepage is very promising.
