If you like it rustic, you've come to the right place, some of the furniture has been preserved from the beginning, the food was great at a fair price, the service was friendly and with a joke on its lips, it's definitely worth it View the guest room on the 1st floor. It's a feast for the eyes. Thank you for keeping it so well received. Best of all, it's still German cuisine, I hope it stays that way. Thank you for allowing us to dine with you. I would love to come back when we are in the area.

Very nice Franconian pub, cozy, good food, quick and attentive service.

What a rustic location, what great food - It was a stay that was great fun from start to finish. A fantastically original interior and regional Franconian cuisine that you couldn't wish for better. Blue ziplets as a starter, Schäufele with lots of sauce and dumplings and a schnitzel with a horseradish-mustard breading that you couldn't imagine being crispier. The service was quick and always present, very focused due to the many guests - but we would also have been happy about a little smile (please don't take it as a criticism) Even if some previous posters complain about the size of the map, please stick to your concept, because less is often more!!!

We had reserved a table for 4 people for yesterday, November 2nd, 2024 at 5:45 p.m. We were not given a time limit. We got there on time and ordered starters and main courses with drinks. After an hour, a young male waitress (wearing leather trousers a la Gabalier) came unbidden with the bill, said: “I need the table” and handed us the bill (€100.20). I paid €120 and he disappeared. Understandably, I didn't want to tip given this rude annoying behavior. However, I only received the change after requesting it. But I have to note the following: - the food was very good - a second female waitress was very friendly and attentive - The ambience of the restaurant is also very nice. However, under these conditions, given the impolite time pressure (we only had 30 minutes to eat and drink), we cannot recommend this restaurant.

Ate 1/4 duck and roast pork. Was excellent and worth the price. We stopped in Bad Kissingen specifically for dinner and got our money's worth. The duck was particularly recommended. Come back here next time.

The food is very good and original. However, the selection is very manageable. A few more dishes on the menu wouldn't hurt. We were only able to get a quick glimpse inside as we were sitting outside. However, the interior design fits the overall concept. Feel free to come by again.

Food was OK. Prices, despite the health resort, are far too high. Portions could be larger given the prices. We almost felt like we were at Oktoberfest given the price range

Reservierungen werden nur nach Nase durchgeführt. Wir hatten einen Tag davor reserviert mit der festen Zusicherung von der Mitarbeiterin das alles klar geht. Als wir heute eintrafen, trafen wir auf eine sehr mürrisch Chefin. Die teilte uns mit, dass hier eine Gruppe kommt und wir unseren bestellten Tisch nicht bekommen können. Wir durften uns dann in die Gaststätte setzen. Angeboten wurden uns auch Tische in der prallen Sonne. Dies lehnten wir ab. Als Wiedergutmachung wurden uns Schnäpse angeboten für die Unannehmlichkeiten. Ein Witz.

Die Dame im Service war sehr freundlich, versteht ihren Beruf. Umso angenehmer, als dass gutes Personal im Service immer schwieriger zu finden ist. Das Essen war sehr gut: reichhaltig und qualitativ hochwertig. Man kann sehr schön draußen sitzen, drinnen ist es sehr gemütlich, auch hier fühlte ich mich sofort wohl.

Very nice restaurant with home-style German cuisine, but burgers are also available. The server is very friendly, quick, always has an overview and does her job really well! The food is rich, inexpensive and of very good quality. You can sit very comfortably inside, the restaurant is rustically furnished, and many historical photos adorn the walls. Sitting on the terrace facing the pedestrian zone is also very comfortable. A very clear recommendation!

Stopped there on Sunday with a reservation for 4 people. 2 x the hamburger with fries, 1 x the cecar salad and 1x the veal roll roast with bread dumplings and cabbage. After a reasonable wait (drinks were served promptly), the food arrived. Satisfied faces after the first bites. Burger meat tender and juicy, good toppings, crispy fries. Cesar salad was tasty and crunchy, even though no romaine lettuce was used as a base (says my wife). My cabbage roll roast was very tender, the dumplings were good, the sauce was good, as was the cabbage, which harmonized perfectly. Large portion, half went to my son. Nice staff, nice atmosphere, good food, we had been there for a burger the week before and returned. We recommend taking a break there.

Es war gut, für 4 Personen vorher reserviert zu haben. Sonntags ist es (fast) immer sehr gut besucht. Trotz allem, keine Hektik beim Personal. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Für meine Frau gabs den Cesar Salat (große Portion mit Puten oder Hähnchenstreifen. Due Jungs waren bestens mit dem Burger bedient. Ich wählte den Kalbsrollbraten mit Klösen und Kraut. Alles kam gleichzeitig und schmeckte allen gleichermaßen. Ich hatte 2 Scheiben Rollbraten und 2 Klöse, davon gab ich einem Sohn noch die halbe Portion ab. Der Beilagensalat war knackig und frisch mit selbstgenachtet Marinade. Preis war völlig im Rahmen. Meine Frau und ich waren eine Woche zuvor schon einmal da zum Mittagessen. Empfehlenswert und einen Essbesuch wert.

beide Silvaner werden aus der lt Flasche in das Glas geschänkt : das Viertele vom Sauer kostet 1€ mehr, dies ist ein gut investierter € Das Kraut : Weltklasse Der Kloß : würde ich auch so machen (o.ä.). Semmelknödel aus der Pfanniplaste : braucht eh keiner. Das Schäufele nett gegart, die Schwarte ok aufgepoppt, die Soße dürfte mehr Pepp haben aber in einer Stadt mit sehr viel Fremdenverkehr passts scho. Sehr freundliche Bedienung im Fränkisch-rustikalem Ambiente, kann man schon mal machen.

Für einen guten Preis haben wir ein außen krosses und innen superzartes Schäufelchen bekommen. Die Sosse dazu sehr gut und auch die Klösse und der Krautsalat gut. Die Bedienungen waren aufmerksam und schnell. Sehr zu empfehlen.

A historical place, but adapted to the times where necessary. Very quaint/rustic atmosphere with a historical background. The service was friendly and forthcoming. The food met expectations. Parking outside and walking distance to the restaurant (pedestrian zone).

We were there today and both had the Schäuferl. Very good. Meat was soft and really tasty 😋. The service was top. When we asked for more sauce, it was delivered within a very short time. The request for toothpicks was also immediately followed up. We can really recommend it. Gladly again at any time. 😊

The food tasted very good, I had a crusty roast with dumplings and salad, I found the dumplings very small. My partner had a currywurst with fries and he also ordered a small side salad that cost 6 euros extra, which I found too expensive for 3 leaves of salad. The service tried very hard, but was simply overwhelmed. Conclusion; Nice but just too expensive

Restaurant with a long tradition and good food

A dream! Everything is true, the ambience, the sensational food (both the main course and the dessert), the beer and the nicer and very attentive ladies who looked after us! Better make a reservation, we were lucky to get the last table in the room shortly after 5 p.m.! We are very happy to have found our way here!

Home cooking, small menu, delicious!

We ate there in January 2024. The food was good, down-to-earth cuisine. Great, rustic atmosphere 👍 The service staff was very friendly, but a bit slow and didn't know the dishes - it happened, the service staff was probably just being trained. However, the place was full and we had to wait quite a long time. In winter I would recommend choosing a place in the middle of the restaurant, the windows are quite old and there is a lot of draft on the back.

Highly recommended, overall consistent and exactly my taste. Service excellent and ambience definitely recommended.

As beautiful and worth visiting as this historic restaurant is, the ladies in charge have unfortunately become just as arrogant and unfriendly. It's a shame, it was a must to visit this restaurant every time you were in Bad Kissingen.

Upon arrival on April 26th In Bad Kissingen I was recommended the Bratwurst Glöckle and told me to make a reservation. I was told that the only free table would be occupied from 7 p.m. Since we could be there until 6 p.m., I registered my wife and myself. On site we noticed the unreserved seats outside and decided not to take the requested table in the dining room. After a good 45 minutes, all of the neighboring tables had received their food, even though they arrived after us. So I asked one of the two waitresses if they had forgotten us. The answer was, "You didn't order from me." Shortly afterwards, the second waitress came to our table and, WITHOUT any apology, just said, "To bridge the time." two shot glasses on our table. Just by the way, my wife doesn't drink alcohol. After dinner, my wife wanted to express our surprise to the waitress as she cleared the dishes. She was immediately met with the sentence, "We can't do more than apologize." interrupted and left standing. When paying in the restaurant, I made another attempt to clarify things myself, but was immediately interrupted again, pointing out that the restaurant was full. As a final icing on the cake, I received the statement, "You know, Mr. Roth (at least she knew my name from our phone call), the only thing I'm annoyed about is that I even offered you a table." Conclusion: In my 55 years, I have rarely been served so rudely. Unfortunately I cannot give negative stars. However, I recommend every reader to choose a restaurant in Bad Kissingen where you will be treated as a guest. This is not the case here.

We were actually really looking forward to the evening and therefore reserved a table! Unfortunately, as soon as we arrived, we were given the feeling that we didn't actually have any time and that as a guest we should leave as quickly as possible! You were asked about your food order 4 times within a very short space of time, even though you said that you would like to take a look first. The beer was great, the liver dumplings in the broth were a dream, but unfortunately the broth itself was totally over salted! This could be forgiven with a broth, but the salt issue then moved on to the next course! The schnitzel meat was super tender but the breading salty. The fries were so well prepared, they could have been the best I've ever eaten but they seemed to have been soaked in salt cake beforehand! We are salt lovers but unfortunately they weren't edible! Boosts drink consumption, but only if you feel welcome as a guest.

Wer in Bad Kissingen ist, kommt um dieses Lokal nicht herum. Top Adresse vor Ort, trotz nicht Reservierung glücklicherweise einen Platz ergattert. Erstklassiger Service, atemberaubendes Ambiente und herausragende Speisen (in erster Linie fränkische Spezialitäten. Es werden keine Wünsche offen gelassen. Preis Leistungsverhältnis top, absolut empfehlenswert.

Ein uriges Lokal. Immer gut besucht und deshalb hatte das Personal das sehr nett und freundlich war viel zu tun.

Nach dem 3. Versuch einen Tisch bekommen, Service freundlich, Käsespätzle waren gut hätten etwas wärmer sein können. Kann die Bratwurstklocke nur empfehlen, man sollte aber unbedingt vor dem Besuch reservieren
