We booked/reserved a restaurant a week in advance for our family trip to Bad Kissingen! And that was a good thing, because many people who wanted to go to the cozy restaurant were turned away due to it being fully booked! We received excellent and prompt service, which is very important when you have small children with you! The food was outstanding in every respect and very reasonably priced! Therefore, we can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant!

Although I had never tried them before, I thoroughly enjoyed this traditional dish. ​The Schweineschäufele (pork shoulder) was simply sensational: The crust was perfectly crispy, and the meat was tender and juicy. ​Only the Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancake) disappointed me a bit, as it was a bit dry instead of fluffy. But otherwise, it was a very successful culinary experience overall.

Franconian cuisine at its finest. We went there twice this weekend. Roast pork, Sauerbraten, Schäufele (pork shoulder), liver dumpling soup, and Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes). All delicious. Great atmosphere in a traditional Franconian restaurant.

We were returning from Croatia on vacation and stopped there. Everything was booked that evening, but we immediately got a reservation for the following evening. The Schäuferle (small pancakes) were divine, as was the Kaiserschmarn (smothered pancakes). We received very friendly and attentive service from the staff. The kids even got a free small ice cream. The manager, in particular, has everything under control and was always approachable and very friendly. Where else can you find such a traditional German restaurant where you can still get truly hearty, home-style cooking that tastes truly delicious? We'll be back there next year when we're passing through. I can recommend the Glöckle without hesitation...

Simply fantastic! A beautiful old restaurant, truly quaint. All the dishes were excellent; I had cream of pumpkin soup and Wiener schnitzel. And the waitress was a very young and lovely girl who, despite being very busy, always smiled and was extremely friendly. It was a wonderful evening in a location that many could learn a thing or two from... 10 stars from me, I'd happily give it a go. I'll definitely be back!

My tip for the staff: If a guest has a request (e.g., salt and pepper for the salad), just keep quiet and fulfill it. You can save yourself the hassle of rude comments or lectures.

Tables were only lightly occupied. I asked as an individual whether it was possible to join them. I was refused. No assistance from the staff. It was a dead end for me. Unfortunately, we Germans are like that...

A very nice and old restaurant. It was difficult to get a table without a reservation on Sunday lunchtime, but we managed to get one a little later. The Glöckle Pfännle (pancake with fried potatoes) was very tasty and looked really good. It could have been a bit bigger, but the price was perfectly reasonable. The Kaiserschmarrn (smothered pancake) was good, and the burger was tasty, but nothing special. But we would definitely come back if we had any doubts!

Super great restaurant. I happened to be walking past it, and since I was hungry and had time, I went in and asked for a seat. It was very busy both inside and out, but I was asked to wait outside on the bench. After less than five minutes, I got a nice seat inside. The staff were all friendly and attentive, and the food was very, very delicious. I will definitely come back with my family, but of course, I'll make a reservation beforehand. I highly recommend this restaurant.

It was a blind date with foresight, but nothing beats tuna fish with wasabi. You can't have everything. I fell asleep for a moment in front of the Netto, but Otto is generally reliable. Cheers!

The shop's greatest asset is definitely its staff. Fast, friendly, and attentive. The menu is small, and the selection is very limited. Why so many people want to eat here is a mystery to me. Getting a seat without a reservation is almost impossible. I had sausages—they weren't bad. The food was freshly prepared. Otherwise, I don't know why it's been so hyped.

I was visiting Bad Kissingen, and we both stopped at this restaurant because it had been recommended to us. We ordered two Wiener Schnitzels (veal). To cut a long story short, we were both extremely disappointed because it wasn't just dry, but absolutely overcooked, which is unacceptable for that price. When I told the waitress about it, nothing happened—not even an apology or any kind of response. Maybe it was a slip-up, but that's not how you handle a complaint. That says enough about the restaurant to me, and we won't be going there again.

Courteous and fast service despite being almost at capacity. Our food was very good; the schnitzel had a nice, light coating, and the dumplings and sauces were exceptionally tasty. Our 4-year-old daughter also had fun with the coloring set and the child-friendly service.

What's absolutely unacceptable, however, is the pricing of the drinks. 1 Kellerbier 0.5 liters > €4.90, 1 Kellerbier 0.25 liters > €3.20. That would be €6.40 for 0.5 liters. It's called a minimum order surcharge!!!!!!! Has the restaurant industry still not understood why people are consuming less and why they're staying away?

We went there for lunch with visitors from the US. I always consider it a good sign when many tables are already occupied. Since the weather was nice, we were able to sit outside. The service was very friendly and helpful. The food was homely and very good. My friend from Atlanta really enjoyed the currywurst. I had a delicious burger.

This restaurant deserves 6 stars! The food is absolutely delicious—especially the Spargel supper, which was incredibly tasty and clearly homemade, not frozen. You can truly taste the quality and care in every dish. On top of that, the staff are exceptionally polite and welcoming. A wonderful dining experience!

The staff is really friendly and attentive and the food is fantastic! Everything smells wonderful, the fries are crispy, the veal schnitzel is tender and the Ludwigsburger is juicy. The building also has charm. I also like that it's not so loud and you can have a good conversation. I would recommend making reservations on Saturdays because of course even more people will know that it's worth the visit. Happy to come back!

Very nice restaurant in the middle of the city center with a rustic atmosphere and a cozy outdoor area. Despite it being lunchtime, we easily got a seat without a reservation. The home-style menu also offers some modern touches. The Ludwig Burger with mountain cheese and melted onions is highly recommended, especially in combination with the very fresh and crispy fries. The homemade lemonade is also great. The portion size is very pleasant and the price is absolutely fair. The service was very friendly and accommodating. The toilets are also clean. Absolutely recommended — we would love to come back!

The place is wonderful, with a lot of charm and German pub vibes. It is very well decorated, in detail but without kitsch. The food was fantastic. We ordered the Ludwig burger, a classic beef burger, lettuce, tomato, cheese and pickles... It was delicious. I just ate it and I'm thinking about when I can go back for another one. We ordered some fries that were also very delicious, but next time I think it will be the hamburger just because I wanted to try some dessert (if I ate more it would end up bad, the hamburger was full). I also ordered an Agustiner beer, which was very well drafted and very smooth. It went great with the burger. I will return without a doubt. Plus it's not expensive at all. In terms of quality/price ratio, the diner wins.

Special requests are accommodated without any problems. However, I found the side salad a bit different, as half of it consisted only of pickled beetroot.

Nice atmosphere, the food was very good and the price was right. In and of itself it would have been a nice meal, because unfortunately the innkeeper's behavior was questionable. We as visitors felt offended. After paying and saying goodbye, the much older innkeeper secretly handed over his number as he left. In our opinion, this should not have happened. It would be nice if this could be reconsidered

This restaurant is a 10/10. Food absolutely on point, service is highly professional (the woman with short light hair). I have eaten there several times. Absolutely everything is recommended! The dressing could perhaps be improved a bit due to its consistency and lack of taste, but that's a matter of taste.
