Taj Curry House has long been one of my favorite restaurants. Great Indian cuisine with both meat and vegetarians. Very high quality products are used, which you can taste in the chicken, for example. The employees are also super friendly and quick. From my side, highly recommended and again at any time.

You can have great food without having to wait a bit because the restaurant is on the market and is therefore very popular. Price/performance fits. Main waiter friendly.

Prices totally overpriced. You are filled with cheap rice, which is available in large quantities, while you search in relative vain for chicken or fish in the many sauces. Staff very rude, atmosphere not inviting and certainly not Indian. All in all, more than very disappointing and absolutely not recommended.

Our choice on our travels was Indian again, so we went to the Taj Curry House. We were greeted very friendly and given a table of our choice. The menu has a wide range of typical Indian dishes and drinks. Also suitable for vegetarians and lovers of good cocktails with and without alcohol are well catered for. Our order came to the table hot and relatively quickly. The starter was fried onion balls with two different types of sauce and tasted delicious and very mild. The chicken curry doesn't taste like a typical standard curry, but the curry sauce and the chicken meat are of very high quality and therefore have their own, very good taste. The cocktails are well mixed and there is not too much ice in the glass. For dessert I had the mango cream, which was as light and airy as mango cream, very cool, very tasty. I would describe the atmosphere in the Taj Curry House as Indian, but also modern. We felt comfortable, but in our opinion something was still missing for the Indian flair. Service was satisfactory but dropped off a bit towards the end of our visit. We waited a little longer for our second order and for the bill. But this was probably due to the number of guests. Since we have eaten Indian food often and everywhere, we missed being offered some lentil bread with three different sauces at the beginning and a mango lassi or schnapps at the end. But we are probably already very spoiled. Conclusion: Good Indian restaurant with very good food at a normal price. Nice modern atmosphere with friendly staff. Gladly again

Great food and would love to come back

Great dinner in the second oldest building on the beautiful historic market square in the heart of Bad Kissingen! Authentic, fine Indian cuisine served by very warm, perfect service at the beautifully set tables. Appropriate drinks! Small selection of wines that harmonize very well with the spicy, mild to really spicy Indian delights. Our fullest recommendation!!!

Great Indian restaurant in the middle of the city. We recommend. A little smile 😃 would have been welcome, but given the timing, Rakozzi Fest, you can overlook it.

Unfriendly staff! Despite having booked a table, there was time pressure that you had to leave by a certain time. When we asked you to please bring new cutlery for the main course, the response was to roll your eyes. Not recommended. Food too expensive for this quality.

Great food and really excellent service. We are happy to accommodate special requests and there is also a large vegan and vegetarian selection. We always enjoy coming here.

The dips for the naan are a tasty experience as a starter, as is the Peshawari naan with cheese. The main courses are served in small pans. At first you wonder how you're going to get full, but the dishes are so complex that they really fill you up. Any time!

The food was very tasty. What I don't think is right is that they asked us to change our table because a larger group had come.

The finest authentic Indian cuisine is served here (I've been to India myself) and everything is really tastefully prepared. The standard is a bit raised but the original ingredients also have their price and it is reasonable. The service is extremely friendly and the restaurant is very attractive and is located right in the center, a clear recommendation of 5☆ from us

Excellent restaurant with really tasty food and a great staff. We would love to go here again. Anyone who doesn't know Indian food or may be afraid of the spiciness of Indian cuisine can rest assured, because a perfect balance has been found here between the "Indian spiciness" and the more sensitive German palate. Had Indian food for the first time today and it tasted very good. The service was very friendly. Would go again.

Really delicious food and everything fresh

The two of us had dinner in the evening. The shop was quite busy and we waited a while for our food. The food was very tasty and the waiter was attentive and was regularly at our table.

Tasty and good food, I had the seafood plate with rice and a buttery curry sauce. I am still impressed by the taste. We had nice view from the terrace of the restaurant over the small square. The only thing that bothered me was the approach of the young girl from the service, she was very unprofessional, her service was not up to standard.

Long waiting times and the food wasn't that good either

The location is very attractively decorated. Service is always attentive and extremely friendly. We ate three courses. Particularly noteworthy are the different breads, the quality and preparation of the meat, as well as the spicy and well-seasoned sauces. Price performance ratio absolutely reasonable. We'd love to come back.

The vegetarian food was excellent and the service staff was very nice!

We went there twice for dinner as part of my rehab. If I lived there I would eat there regularly. The soups are very good and some are slightly spicy. For example, I had the tomato soup. The main courses look very small at the beginning but they are completely sufficient and I struggled with the portion. The waitresses are very friendly and you can tell they have professional training or have acquired it very well. Unfortunately there is no parking directly at the restaurant as the restaurant is in the pedestrian zone. But right on the edge of the pedestrian zone there is a theater parking garage where the first two hours cost €1.20. And every additional hour 60 cents

We were warmly welcomed and escorted to our reserved table. The food was very good. I can only recommend the restaurant. The furnishings could be a little nicer and there should be a vestibule at the entrance, it was a bit drafty. Reservation was necessary.

So so delicious, by far the best food in Bad Kissingen! Incredibly tasty and very tender chicken. Unfortunately, you have to wait a long time and sometimes you have the feeling that the waitress has forgotten you. Otherwise very sweet and understandable given the full restaurant. That must you simply plan more time for the visit.

We eat here regularly, it's always a pleasure, a taste explosion at its best. It's definitely the best Indian restaurant around. We come from Sinntal specifically to eat there.

Nice atmosphere, tables were set with fabric tablecloths and fabric napkins. Friendly, fast and competent service, all of our wishes were met in a friendly manner. The dishes served tasted really good and were not too spicy so that the meat, poultry, fish and vegetable components could still be recognized in taste. Everything was nice and hot and not overcooked or fried. We had dinner with 9 people and without exception, everyone was very satisfied. However, you should reserve as soon as possible so that you can get a table. Absolutely recommended. Thank you for the lovely evening

We were guests at the Thai Curry House on a Saturday evening. Unfortunately, after arriving we discovered that there was no space available despite a reservation made one day in advance. We stood in the aisle for half an hour... when we were assigned to our seats after a while, it was only possible to order drinks after a quarter of an hour... (Briefly summarized: 7 p.m. reservation, 8 p.m. drinks, 8:45 p.m. food). In addition, the service was a disaster despite such long waiting times... In general, I would say the restaurateur's attitude is: as many seats as possible in a small space, the more income! In my opinion the food is very tasty but unfortunately it doesn't match the price/performance ratio!

Fantastic Indian cuisine! Delicious, tastefully balanced dishes with a wide range of vegetarian dishes. A dream! I have to admit that I was so disappointed on my first visit for the opening because I had to wait so long for my food that I didn't go back for a long time. But now the service is much better and the waitresses are nice and friendly. But there is always a lot going on... If you have some time and are not in a hurry, you will be rewarded with wonderful Indian dishes! Simply delicious! Gladly again!

Unfortunately it's too popular and therefore a bit cramped. Booking via the internet didn't work several times. But the food is very good and the staff is attentive and friendly.

Very cramped restaurant but cozy, warm. Service quick and got everything we wanted. Ordered naan bread with garlic and spicy chicken and butter chicken and starter chicken with dip covered in pea dough. In short: everything is very good. Taste is always subjective, but no Indian restaurant in Schweinfurt can keep up with that. Advantage of the main courses: Lots of meat to fill you up. Rice can be reordered free of charge. We felt very comfortable, friendly staff, delicious food with lots of spices. Clove rice. Coriander. This is how I imagine Indian dishes. Not Germanized, but original, authentic Indian cuisine. The toilets are very narrow and small. Forward in, forward out. Tip: Mango lassi tastes very fresh and delicious, large cup, not too sweet, not too sour. Naan bread is brought to the place hot.

Das Essen war grenzwertig, die Qualität des Enten ? - Fleisches undefinierbar.

Ich war dort mehrmals allein und mit meinem Mann zu Gast. Die Gerichte waren allesamt sehr appetitlich zubereitet und genauso wie es in einem indischen Resataurant in Deutschland zu erwarten ist. Der Service war immer aufmerksam und ausgesprochen freundlich. Lediglich das Ambiente in den unteren Räumen läßt etwas zu wünschen, aber das Essen ist einwandfrei. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Extremely professional service and delicious food!

Ich bin alleine hier, leider nicht sonderlich beachtet. Bis zu 5 Minuten ignoriert und dann schief angesehen das ich nur Brot und Tomatensuppe bestellte. Tomatensuppe war viel zu süß hatte noch nie soetwas gegessen. Es scheint sich generell nur um große Gesellschaften gekümmert zu werden. Schade das der einzelne Gast nicht willkommen ist. Stattdessen wurden die Augen gerollt und gehofft das man schnell wieder geht. Preis Leistung ist auch ziemlich übertrieben.

Essen war richtig lecker, Portionen auch ordentlich. Service und Ambiente super! War sehr positiv überrascht, und gerne wieder!

Wir waren mit mehreren Arbeitskollegen zum Abendessen essen dort. Meine Vorspeise war deutlich zu salzig. Mir wurde anstandslos eine andere gebracht. Der Hauptgang war gut aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Wir hatten einen netten Abend.

Sehr aufgeschlossenes Team. Die Speisen waren sehr lecker . Mein Hühnchen Mango hatte ein unglaubliches Aroma. Der Reis war herrlich körnig. Das Fladenbrot perfekt. Ich kann nur schwärmen. Natürlich merkt man das auch preislich. Aber für solch eine Gaumenfreude ist es das Geld wert . Wir kommen wieder. Man muss aber reservieren (jedenfalls am Wochenende) , da sehr beliebt.

Sehr zu empfehlenswertes Lokal gutes essen zu angemessenen Preisen

Das Essen war hervorragend GUT. Großes Problem war die sehr lange Wartezeit, bis uns das Essen serviert wurde.

Wir haben einen Platz draußen auf dem Balkon bekommen und waren sehr froh darüber. Die Bedienung war super, schnell und nicht aufdringlich. Das Essen Machi Tikka kann ich nur empfehlen, der Lachs saftig und lecker gewürzt. Die Ente Madras war scharf. Obwohl wir im Voraus gefragt hatten, weil wir es nicht zu scharf wollten. Ein anderer Vorschlag wurde leider von der Bedienung nicht gemacht. Das vegetarische Essen Palak Paneer war alles andere als Blattspinat mit Zwiebeln und Tomaten, es war eine einheitliche grüne Paste in der alles sein konnte. Wenigstens als Deko wären einige erkennbare Zutaten zu wünschen gewesen. Vegetarier lieben es zu sehen, was sie essen. Nun ja, ich (Fischgericht) würde wiederkommen, meine zwei Begleiter eher nicht - schade.

Das Essen war wirklich gut. Das Hühnchen war sehr zart und die Soßen haben alle komplett unterschiedlich und auch sehr gut und cremig geschmeckt. Außen stören zwar die Wespen, aber uns wurde freundlicherweise ein Räucherstäbchen angezündet. Der Kellner ist etwas schüchtern, aber dennoch sehr nett. Ich war bereits bei vielen indischen Restaurants zu Besuch. Dieses Restaurant hat mit aber bis jetzt am besten geschmeckt. Die Preise sind jedoch höher als im Durchschnitt.

Über eine Stunde warten auf das Essen , Menschen gehen einfach weil sie nicht ewig warten wollen, 3 Stücken Fleisch ist echt ne Frechheit , so auch beim Lammfleisch , ich persönlich bin aufgestanden und habe mal hölflich nach 80 Minuten Wartezeit nachgefragt , ob die 8 Gäste noch ihr Essen bekommen. Kling seltsam , war aber so , am 15. 8. 2023.

Wir sind kurzentschlossen hier eingekehrt und konnten draußen noch einen Tisch ergattern. (Wenn man drinnen sitzen will, sollte man auf jeden Fall reservieren.) Leider hatte es vorher geregnet und die Stühle waren etwas feucht, so hatten wir später als wir gingen alle einen nassen Po. Hatten es beim hinsetzen nicht gemerkt, da es Rattangeflechtstühle waren. Schön wäre es hier wenn man für solche Fälle ein paar Stuhlkissen vorhalten würde. Die Bedienung erfolgte rasch, leider anfangs etwas unterkühlt, was sich später aber besserte. Die Getränke waren schnell am Tisch und das Essen wurde aufgenommen. Die Wartezeit für das Essen war gerade noch in Ordnung. Serviert wurden die Gerichte auf einem Chafing der mit Teelichtern betriebenen wurde, dazu gab es Reis aus vorgewärmten Schalen sowie vorgewärmte Teller. Das Essen war schmackhaft, aber doch eher zaghaft und für europäische Gaumen gewürzt. Sehr schade, hier dürfte ruhig mehr Mut zur Authentizität gewagt werden. Die Portionen waren sehr übersichtlich. Wir hatten 3 verschiedene Gerichte gewählt und in jedem war der Fleischanteil für den veranschlagten Preis doch sehr spärlich. Wir wurden später noch gefragt ob wir mehr Reis benötigen, was allerdings nicht der Fall war, daher kann ich nicht sagen ob dieser extra berechnet worden wäre. Fazit: Geschmacklich ok, jedoch eher für europäische Gaumen gewürzt Portionen für diesen Preis zu teuer/klein
