Apparently, you don't always need a lot of bells and whistles to enjoy a really good kebab.
The meat was super delicious, as was the homemade bread, with lettuce, tomato, and onions in yogurt sauce, and you have something truly delicious.
With extra meat for €5.50, it's unbeatable. You've won me over as a regular customer.
This is our favorite. I enjoy eating and celebrating here. I love restaurants that always have consistent quality. Bavarian and Swabian cuisine without a lot of frills. The food is like your grandma's, you can hardly get it anymore. I get my sulz in two versions, lean and fat if you want. Great taste. Schnitzel tastes great. We have already celebrated with 70 people and it was simply uncomplicated and the food was excellent. I will always have my birthday party here because I won't be disappointed here. Thank you for everything, it's not a given to be so satisfied.
Saturday afternoon, terrace full, 1.5 waitresses. One gentleman who was extremely hardworking, and one lady, who I only count as half the waitress because... it couldn't get any slower. So, the food was ultimately good, once we finally ordered it and it finally arrived. But everything was just too slow. No complaints about the good gentleman who served us: he was practically the only one on the entire terrace. But a general note to the owner: you can't run a restaurant with such prices and have such poor service.
A fantastic inn with a beautiful ambiance, catastrophic parking, and truly terrible food. What a disappointment with such good reviews! The veal schnitzel for €28.50 consisted of three small slices of veal (maximum 100g combined) thickly coated in greasy breadcrumbs. It was served with an indefinable, fried mass of mushy potatoes and onions. It's truly unfortunate that such a well-known, traditional Allgäu inn doesn't even know the basics of Alpine cuisine and serves such poor quality and quantity for such a high price. You really don't need to drive all the way to Haunstetten and spend a long time looking for a parking space, as the inn's parking spaces also belong to the tennis club and are almost always occupied.
Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time for service at the beginning, even though the restaurant wasn't even half full. For my burger, I tried the Mexican with Los Angeles fries. It tasted very good. The food also arrived quite quickly, despite our large table. Unfortunately, my fries (and others') were quite cold. However, the taste and texture were still acceptable. Unfortunately, after the meal, the espresso we ordered arrived only lukewarm. This could be improved. Other drink orders also took a long time (even though the opened bottles were already at the bar). The drinks were almost exclusively served in bottles. The exceptions were the wheat beer or cocktails...
I didn't notice anything negative about the restaurant that evening, but the next day I noticed that my clothes smelled quite strongly of fries...
Conclusion: Delicious food, very friendly service, but the rest could be improved.
