The food was good, but the portions could be a bit larger.
The service was friendly, but there were still a few communication issues that could be resolved.
Delicious food with fresh ingredients. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Every request is catered to. The atmosphere is very relaxed and perfect for a pleasant evening with delicious food. Highly recommended.
We came here for lunch. Dumplings and rolls were great and we really loved the fresh limonades. The Pho was also good, but could have been a bit less salty and a bit more spiced up.
We would go again!
We enjoyed the new Chef's Choice menu with 6 courses (3, 4, or 5 courses also possible) as a birthday dinner on a Monday evening. Fantastic!
It's the little taste surprises, when different textures (crispy, creamy, fresh, crunchy) are accompanied by successively unfolding flavor levels as you spoon in your appetizer. And you read up on the unfamiliar taste and think: aha, so that's what birch oil tastes like.
A delicious crab tartare, a perfect cream of mushroom soup, the meagre piping hot to the last bite, tender on the inside and crispy on the outside, a fantastic tarragon sauce for the pork fillet, which was simply cooked to perfection...
In Kerstin's cooking, you can taste her deep connection to Sweden, but also her love of North and Baltic Sea cuisine.
The basic components of each dish are exemplary in their craftsmanship, making a visit to the old Huckarder Mill a must: whether you're looking for a small snack, a main course from the à la carte menu, a sharing menu, a Scandinavian crayfish feast, or a murder mystery dinner, you can simply enjoy delicious food here, unpretentiously but with style! Incidentally, it's easily accessible via the U47 subway line. Parking is also easy to find.
Personally, I find the bistro concept almost more enjoyable than the strict menu. You have a great selection and remain in control of the process by ordering any number of creative and tasty dishes, each with surprisingly fair portion sizes. Except for the dessert, where the horchata ice cream was, firstly, bland and, secondly, completely overpowered by the nuts, the food was absolutely delicious. I'd gladly go back!
Unfortunately, we weren't satisfied. We had ordered for pickup, which worked perfectly and on time. The chef was very friendly. Unfortunately, that doesn't help much when, upon payment, they realize the prices are significantly higher than advertised online. "Can't delete it," according to the chef, which can only be a bad joke. So, a portion of doner kebabs went from 13.90 to 18.90. That's a lot for what was on offer. The taste was only partially okay, but the price was not.
The fresh, warm flatbread was delicious.
Next came the shepherd's salad. First, there was virtually no feta in it, and then it was incredibly spicy. What's that all about? Was the chef having a bad day? Spicy food has absolutely no place in a salad like this.
The included bottle of wine unfortunately couldn't improve the poor impression of this meal. I can't recommend the restaurant.
We ate here for our second wedding anniversary.
We received a friendly welcome, and our dog wasn't a problem either.
The food was once again truly delicious, authentic home-cooked fare, preceded by, of course, a wedding soup.
Unfortunately, there was no room for dessert.
But it was a complete success, and we'll be back next time we're in the area.
