ÜTZELBRÜTZEL in Volkach

After ages and countless price increases, I decided to give this place another chance, and I wasn't disappointed. It's expensive, but the staff is very friendly, no more "you have to sit down!", the kebab is well-made, and ultimately, for the price, it's a good portion (and even the way I wanted it (which was unusual and better than before). Everything was super fast, too! Great! I'll be back.

We're repeat customers and can 100% confirm that the food is always delicious and plentiful. The price/performance ratio is still right here. This time, we had a server who seemed to be having a bad day. That's okay, everyone has bad days, but the food was incredibly delicious. We'll be back.

Super friendly staff! The doner meat is crispy fried, the salad is fresh, and the sauces taste really good. The big doner is the perfect portion if you skipped lunch!

Many hands are involved in the preparation, which takes too long, and the queues are ignored. The doner meat and fresh salads are okay, but they're drizzled with way too much sauce and then pressed down tightly. Not the first choice in Volkach.

Unfortunately, After ordering a sample of the Classic Donner, it was way too salty!! The meat was salty! Very unhealthy and over-seasoned. Too bad. The sauce tastes just as good, though. That's the positive side.

The only unfriendly person was the man at the cash register. He's not very tall, and his hair is short or even bald. The rest of the staff is always very nice. They don't even say thank you when you tip.

The XXL doner is really good, one suggestion for improvement would be to add a little more sauce to the bottom to make the doner taste better

The food was okay, but it could have been much better. The sauce was very flavorless, and the meat tasted quite fatty. Prices are above average, which used to be acceptable given the portion size and the taste. Unfortunately, the ratio is no longer right.

There was a very detailed allergen chart! That was really great! I would definitely come back.

What a shame, what a shame... They used to have the best kebab for miles around, but what we experienced last time was a complete disaster. One colleague had a piece of bone in his kebab, which shouldn't happen, but it can happen... Regarding the four big kebabs we ordered: The big kebab used to be so delicious and large that we enjoyed it every now and then. This time, it was the worst kebab we (and all our colleagues agreed) have ever eaten. Two-thirds of the kebab had no sauce at all, so the kebab was as dry as the Gobi Desert. The bottom half consisted entirely of dry meat, with only a tiny bit of vegetables in the top half. Distributing the ingredients evenly, as best as possible? No way! A completely carelessly presented, dry kebab with barely any sauce. I really hope that changes. And please offer your special sauce again! I'll probably give the store one last chance.

It used to be better, unfortunately my kebab meat was thin and totally dry and really full of fat... it was shiny with fat. Sauce was sweet and somehow didn't taste that good. Fries were delicious. Fast and attentive service.

The kebab tastes okay, but I think it's exaggerated to fall into euphoria like so many comments here. Much more noticeable to me is that the employees at Ützel are extremely unfriendly across the board. I've known the store since it opened and I've rarely seen employees who gave me the feeling that they enjoyed their job.

We sat at a large table upstairs, there was a lot going on that evening. Luckily, you can always get a spot quickly if you're a couple. We had a kebab with everything and a drink, which was brought to our place ❤️. Price performance is very good here for just €22 for two people - I can highly recommend this restaurant.

I have eaten here many times and for me it has been the best kebab in the entire region for many years. The quality, ambience and service are top notch.

The Donner pizza in the picture looks delicious, smells great and looks tempting, but because of the shampoo sauce (mild sauce) which tastes like detergent, I threw all the meat off the dough, I will never eat Donner pizza again.

Best kebab in Lower Franconia! It is the measure of all things. Friends and family tell me when they have had Turkish food elsewhere. Nobody has ever told me that there is a better Turkish snack Ützel Brützel in our region. In the meantime, you also have to accept that there will be a short waiting time, but we all do that. With love. Because the quality and taste is unsurpassed.

Was there on Thursday. I'm still in bed today (Saturday) with acquired food poisoning. And no, I didn't eat anything else and no, it's not a viral infection.

Really very tasty food - whether kebab, kebab box or pizza. The staff is also always very friendly, since we only ever order "to go", I can't say too much about the ambience. At least the entrance area is comfortably furnished. Clear recommendation!

The fun is slowly coming to an end for me when it comes to prices: A small portion of fries for 5.50 and a kebab that once cost 3.50 euros costs a whopping "7.40" euros, that is just USURY. It's almost always tasty here, but given the cost, I'd rather buy the ingredients at a discount store and fry it myself at home. 100% more earnings with smaller portions, no wonder the super rich are becoming more and more numerous in this country...

With the name you gave yourself... simply great 😂. The important thing now. Had dinner there after our hike. Everything was clean and tasty, plus there was more than enough quantity and taste. Pricing absolutely fair.

More of a snack bar than a restaurant

Today we took a trip to Volkach and ate a delicious sandwich there! Unfortunately, we were totally stressed out about time (the train was running) and the staff was so nice and prepared everything for us as quickly as possible. Thank you for that!

The large plate of kebab was very large and super tasty with the desired fried potatoes, but the salad was way too oversalted, less is more.

Went there today on a recommendation. We were actually only planning on having a small lunch snack, but the offerings enticed us to do more. Also much bigger than expected and no less tasty. We'll definitely come back.

I was very disappointed with my visit to Ützel Brützel in Volkach. You couldn't choose the type of kebab meat, which is unusual. The meat was not freshly cut from the spit, but taken from an aluminum tray. That was really disappointing and took away the fresh taste of the kebab. The cheekiest thing, however, was that a white plastic bag cost an extra 30 cents. I have never experienced anything like this in any other kebab shop. I will definitely not recommend this store.

Delicious kebab and very large portions. We ate on site. Even though there wasn't much going on, we had to make sure we paid and packed our "leftovers" ourselves.

I would give zero stars if I could. Boy, just pizza bread for €10?! That's a handful of dough that was in the oven for a short time! Usury! Never again! Cutthroat!

Nice kebab shop in Volkach with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is prepared with fresh ingredients and tastes delicious. Prices are a bit higher but the portions are correspondingly large. The staff is very nice and friendly.

Unfortunately after the change of ownership it wasn't so good anymore. Service seems listless and annoyed. The quality of the meat is good, but the sauces leave a lot to be desired. I would love to have the old owners back!

I didn't know that you could sit down on the first floor, so I was pleasantly surprised. Very modern. The food selections are very generous and very tasty. The service was very nice and on point. Will come back.

I have no idea what the bad reviews here are about, but here is my conclusion: Service: super fast and friendly Food: came very quickly and tasted delicious (no difference from a year ago or 2 years ago) Whether a new tenant or not, everything is the same. It is completely normal that prices have increased. If you go to a German restaurant you will pay a lot more for food alone than here! Big praise to the kitchen ♥️✌️

Very tasty dishes, such as: Doner, pide or pizza. Nice restaurant with two terraces. You can eat on site or order to be picked up. The staff is always very friendly too.

Unfortunately, pide has lost some of its flavor. Prices are very expensive overall. A 0.33-liter light beer for €4.10 -> not justified. Unfortunately, because we like going there. The value for money is currently no longer there.

5 star kebab in Volkach More good, ambience as it should be, clean, fast service and fresh ingredients. Best kebab in town. Pizza from €11, kebab from €7.40 is ok, but it tastes great!! Parking is easy in front of the store and you can sit down. At peak times it may take longer, but it is logical. Toilets and disinfection available. Bayreuther Hell is a light beer. There are also hamburgers, small snacks, pide, vegetarian options, pizzas and veggie pizzas, plus salad. Everyone gets something to eat here.

It used to be first class It's been a slow process for two years now with sharply decreasing quality. The meat tastes like it is the cheapest quality. The kebab is just not right. The good image has now vanished into thin air.

It's not for nothing that we have our regular kebab, no matter what time we always get a seat, we never have to wait long for the food and have been completely satisfied every time I can only recommend it

Best kebab in Main Franconia. Huge portion, reasonable prices for food, rather expensive for drinks. The picture shows the large kebab bag for around €10. We'd love to come back.

Leider nicht mehr das was es mal war, Personal unfreundlich und das Fleisch war kalt. Haben vorbestellt und vor Ort wurde uns gesagt dass gewisse Zutaten nicht mehr da sind und Kartenzahlung ging auch nicht. Sowas kann man meiner Meinung nach schon am Telefon sagen. Aus Würzburg werden wir wahrscheinlich nicht nochmal kommen.

Leckerer vegetarischer Dürüm, sehr gute Soße, frische Zutaten, wir waren sehr zufrieden, einzig manche Preise (z.B. für Pide) find ich etwas zu hoch.

Ein guter Döner, nette Bedienung und sauberes, schönes Ambiente. Warum nur 4 Sterne? Getränkepreise unverhältnismäßig hoch (Bier 0,3 3,90 und Cola 0,4 4 Euro.) Döner groß 10 Euro, Döner klein 7,40. Das ist schon ein Wort. Dazu kam eine falsches Essen welches wir trotzdem zahlen mussten. Gesamtrechnung 2 Getränke, zwei Döner, Pommes und Fladenbrot für die Kinder: 39 Euro. Das ist mir Stand Dezember 23 dann doch zu hoch und schmälert die Zufriedenheit.

Schade, dass es in unserer Gegend keinen solchen Laden gibt. Essen, Service und Freundlichkeit alles 5 Sterne! Wir werden definitiv wiederkommen, wenn wir wieder in der Ecke sind.
