Entschuldigung, Entschuldigung, Entschuldigung.. Vorweg, Küche sehr gut. Aber der Service. Wir waren noch mitten bei der Vorspeise, da kamen die Steaks. Entschuldigung, man müsste die sonst wegschmeissen. Also Vorspeise auf Seite, Steaks auf den Tisch, Teller waren nicht mehr heiss. Dafür fehlte jetzt meine Gabel, was noch mal 3 Minuten dauerte. Entschuldigung. Dafür brachte man falsche Beilage. Die richtige Beilage kam, nachdem wir gegessen hatte. Entschuldigung, sonst klappt das besser. 300 Euro und nur geärgert. Auch wenn die Küche gut ist, der Service ist auf Mc Donalds Niveau.

Great restaurant on the Kö. Rarely have I had such good steak. It's in the higher price segment, but if you want to treat yourself to very high quality, you should definitely visit this store. For me there was, in the classic way, 300g fillet without sauce, with French fries. Carpaccio as a starter Staff very friendly. One of the worst experiences in a restaurant in my life, our waitress was so extremely rude it was unbelievable. She had a massive attitude problem, a loud voice and really didn’t belong there. Horrible horrible experience!!!!

Payer 65€ pour 300g de filet de bœuf est déjà un investissement, mais les accompagnements, eux, n’en valent clairement pas la peine. 8€ pour des frites qui ne sont même pas maison et 5€ pour une sauce au poivre qui donne l’impression de venir directement d’une brique, c’est décevant. Les vins, eux aussi, sont proposés à des tarifs élevés, ce qui nous a poussés à nous rabattre sur la bière. En conclusion, même si la viande est bonne, le rapport qualité-prix laisse vraiment à désirer.

Meat is good but expensive for what it is. French fries are horrible frozen industrial and cost €8.5. Sauce is disgusting. 6€ for bad industrial bearnaise and 5€ the horrible industrial pepper sauce. The Grill restaurant offers quality meat, but the prices are greatly exaggerated compared to what is served. Paying €65 for 300g of beef fillet is already an investment, but the accompaniments are clearly not worth it. €8 for fries that aren't even homemade and €5 for a pepper sauce that looks like it comes straight from a brick, it's disappointing. Wines, too, are offered at high prices, which pushed us to opt for beer. In conclusion, even if the meat is good, the value for money really leaves something to be desired.

The Grill is always an excellent choice and I really enjoy coming here! The service is great, the food is extremely tasty and high quality. Of course the prices are high, but absolutely justified - if you want to treat yourself, you will get quality at the highest level here. You receive a warm welcome, the entire team is super friendly and attentive. Simply top all around! We always enjoy coming to this restaurant. 5 stars!

Everything was great, I liked everything. I only had one problem, which was the bees that wouldn't leave around me and from my dishes on the balcony where I was sitting. It's not as annoying as anyone might imagine, and it doesn't affect my rating either. The four stars I put are only because the evolution and progress has no limit. I would be even happier when I go again if there is something even better waiting for me than what I experienced the first time.

This is how a steakhouse should be. The food and everything was excellent. We had lunch here. We started with freshly baked crispy onion bread and salty butter. So good. Then with mega-fresh and meticulously 👍 clean oysters, lovingly prepared, on ice, with pumpernickel and cheddar cheese, red vinegar onions (delicious). I have never tasted such good onion soup. It contained butter-tender, wonderful pieces of beef. Glassy onions, the stock wasn't too dark. There were also small warm toasts with Gruyère cheese. For the main course I had a prawn skewer on pointed cabbage with figs. 12 out of 10 points 😍 so light and healthy. My husband had delicious juicy and crispy squid rings and prawns cooked to perfection. Then an American rib-eye, 300 g, as requested, doneness medium rare, perfectly fried, super tender and full of flavor. Mega meat. A poached egg on spinach on the side, great, and delicious coleslaw. I would like the coleslaw to be a little coarser and without turmeric. Unfortunately there was no room for dessert. Overall, the service was friendly, attentive and in a good mood. The tip was genuinely appreciated. We'll be back, no question.

Very nice. We have been there a few times and recently held an employee event there with almost 20 people. It's not that easy to serve 20 perfectly cooked steaks at the same time, but it turned out wonderfully. The service is excellent and so is the food. Absolutely recommended.

We recently went to The Grill and are sad to say that the evening ended disappointingly for us. Despite an order of almost €300 for two people, we were treated extremely rudely by a service employee. We already felt uncomfortable when we were seated at a table that was far too narrow on the tiny rooftop terrace, but the behavior of the employee in question made the situation even more unpleasant. He constantly called us by first name, which is completely inappropriate in a restaurant of this price range, and treated us condescendingly. What was particularly annoying was that he constantly had a problem with our little dog. While all other employees got past our dog without any problems, he always felt disturbed and kept nagging. When we asked him about it, he showed no insight and became abusive and cheeky. The situation eventually escalated to the point where we decided to leave after starters as we didn't want to let him treat us badly any further. However, the employee didn't care at all that we wanted to leave the restaurant because of his unprofessional demeanor and asked us to go to the competition in the future. We also had to wait over 20 minutes per drink, which we also find unacceptable, with a maximum capacity of 30%. The starter was well prepared and solid, you can't complain about that. We would have liked to say the same for the main course and the dessert. The other employees were very friendly and were visibly upset when we left the restaurant early because of their colleague. It's a real shame that the behavior of a single member of staff ruined our evening so much. This makes you ask yourself why you should behave in such a way that is damaging to your employer's business. In a restaurant of this caliber, we expect to be treated with respect and not feel like you are unwanted.

Great food! Service was fine but it took us a while to get the bill, even though the restaurant was not that busy. Not a cheap restaurant but you can be sure you’ll eat great food! I definitely recommend the truffled fries with Parmesan cheese as a side dish to your steak.

I've eaten here several times, but unfortunately every time there's something different that doesn't fit/is consistent. Once we were even forced to order something to eat, otherwise we would have to sit on a high chair at the bar. (Only 2 tables were occupied in the restaurant at 2:50 p.m.…) something like that is just absurd…. There were two of us and we simply ordered dessert together. That's ridiculous... Otherwise food wise O.K. The price is very expensive for the performance.

As Americans that eat steak all the time, this was excellent. Perfect cook level. The people that are complaining don't know how to eat steak!

The Service team were amazing, although we did not reserve a table, the team was so lovely and offered us a table at the bar. The food was amazing and they have the best bread🍞 . I can recommend this Restaurant to anyone. The service team speak very good English too. I will surely come back.

Nur zu empfehlen wenn man absolut keinen Anspruch auf Qualität und Service legt. Das The Grill wurde im Laufe der letzten Zeit immer schlechter. Trotz der vielfältigen Warnungen mehrerer Freunde sind wir dort zum späten Mittagessen gewesen. Max 30 Prozent der Tische waren belegt. Das Essen kam unvollständig nach knapp 80 Minuten! Qualität ähnlich wie eine günstige Steakhaus-Kette. Pommes furchtbar fettig. Salat ohne Dressing. Bestellte Saucen und 1 Hauptspeise wurde gar nicht serviert. Wurden allerdings auf die Rechnung gesetzt. Beim Verlassen des Lokals wurden wir regelrecht angepöbelt weil wir in den Raum stellten, ausgesprochen enttäuscht zu sein und von weiteren Besuchen absehen werden. Ein Mitarbeiter lief sogar bis zum Aufzug hinterher. So etwas haben wir noch nie erlebt! Was waren das für schöne Zeiten im alten La Terrazza der 90‘er.

Mein Mittagessen wurde zum Abendessen weil mein Essen so lange brauchte. Drecksladen, komme nie wieder. Bis auf einen Kellner werde ich an dem Laden Nix vermissen.

Unfortunately, my only and definitely last visit ruined the entire evening for me and my companion. It was supposed to be a nice birthday evening that was overshadowed by rude service, an incorrectly served order and average taste. When I pointed out to the waiter that he had brought me the wrong meat, he replied that he never makes mistakes and that I definitely ordered what he served. I replied that I have never ordered anything other than a rib eye / entrecote in a steakhouse and it was the same this time. My companion could even witness it. I could have insisted on a new piece of meat, he told me, but we wanted to eat together and not one after the other, so I stuck with the wrong delivery, which didn't taste nearly as good to me as a tasty, fatty piece of meat. Unfortunately neither of us liked the side dishes either. Instead of an apology or at least gratitude that I accepted the wrong delivery, I finally got a negative surprise. The incorrectly delivered meat was probably more expensive and was charged accordingly instead of at least correcting it to the amount of the piece ordered. If I had insisted on subsequent delivery, I would have ended up paying less and the expensive meat would have been returned and probably thrown away. It was too stupid for me to argue with the waiter again and I simply didn't give a tip to express my dissatisfaction. Outrageous service, average food... Dusseldorf has a lot more to offer. We won't be coming back and will eat somewhere else in the future.

Visited with friends and kids and the service was amazing!! Despite kids 5 and 8. We stayed past closing and the staff were the best! Especially our waitress!

We wanted something to eat before the football game. We were also greeted in a friendly manner and were told to wait a moment until a table was ready for us. 15 minutes later another employee came and said she couldn't get a table ready for us because they were busy over lunch and had to prepare for dinner. However, there were few guests and they easily had time to prepare a table for us. I think it's a shame when the opening times are not respected and the guests wait and then are sent back. But the restaurant looked great, I can't say anything about the food, so no review. As far as the service is concerned, I am disappointed that the professionalism is lacking.

The service was extremely friendly and nice. However, the steak was just mediocre and nothing special. Given the price, it was definitely too expensive, as we ate much better in Düsseldorf for comparable money. My wife's steak was sent back twice because it didn't reach the desired doneness. Ordered medium plus, served medium rare. The chef just couldn't get it right. After my wife lost her appetite and no longer wanted to eat the steak, we asked for a discount. €60 for a failed steak is completely unacceptable, especially if the chef doesn't do his job well. It would have been appropriate to get the steak on the house. The arrogant chef refused to give us a discount and instead just offered a coffee. Dear chef, come to my garden - I'll show you how to properly prepare steaks. You will immediately receive training on how to handle customer complaints appropriately The nice waitress tried to save the situation and made a lot of effort. Nevertheless we had to pay €25 for the failed steak!

Very stylish restaurant with top service and delicious steaks.

Einmal hier zum Mittagessen. An sich ist das Resto gut gelegen und auch das Ambiente ist nett. Allerdings läßt alles Andere zu wünschen übrig. Empfagn war ganz gut, aber gleich danach der Flopp, das Resto war fast leer und wir sollten direkt am Servicewagen Platz nehmen! Warum? Wurde abgelehnt und es gab einen anderen Tisch. Die Speisekarte, naja man kann über die Auswahl nicht meckern, allerdings über die Preise schon (und diese rechtfertigen auch nicht die Lage auf der KÖ). Rinderfilet für 70 Euro und darin enthalten sind keinerlei Beilagen. Einfache Pommes dazu im Schälchen für 8 Euro, Parmesan Pommes 17!!! Gehts noch? Fleisch war so wie es aussah auch nicht vom Grill sondern in der Pfanne gebraten, Garpunkt nicht wirklich erreicht und auch nicht gleichmäßig, Ruhezeit vom Fleisch wurde auch nicht eingehalten….das sollte bei einem 70 Euro Filet nicht sein. Zum Service, auch nicht wirklich gut und aufmerksam. Am Nachbartisch wurde der Hund des Besitzers hofiert und bekam sein Futter am Tisch serviert. Abgeräumt wurde auch viel zu spät an manchen Tischen so dass sich die neuen Gäste am Eingang stapelten. Ehrlich, wohlfühlen und ein gutes Essen geniessen geht anders. Hier regiert ein Chichi Publikum und 20 Jährige voll gelangweilte Gesichter die große Teller bestellen und 3/4 davon zurückgehen lassen. Voll dekandent. Sorry aber hier stimmt nichts. War der 1. und ganz sicher der letzte Besuch. Absolut keine Empfehlung.

Wir waren jetzt nach einer sehr langen Pause wieder mal voller Vorfreude im Restaurant. Und voll enttäuscht!! Mein Filet war sehr gut! Aber der Sevice ist für diese Preise ein Unding! Sehr schlecht geworden. Und sehr unaufmerksam. Zudem wurde uns ein völlig verschmiertes Weinglas hingestellt. Es wurde zwar anstandslos ausgetauscht, aber wie gesagt, für das viele Geld möchte ich es perfekt haben!

Together with my wife I had a nice window seat facing the courtyard. The starter consisted of a beef tartare, which unfortunately had a very brown color and was unfortunately rather plucked and not finely sliced, as one would expect given the price. In terms of taste, it was also at the lower limit of quality, but I would give it a maximum of 2 stars. This was offset by good service from the two young employees who were very attentive but were still quite new. Unfortunately, the head waitress attracted negative attention because she folded up an employee coram publico, this is an absolute "NO GO". Therefore a point deducted, although the two young waitresses were very good and friendly. The main menu of entrecote and fillet was cooked to perfection and of good quality. Unfortunately the invoice was not entirely correct but was explained and corrected. Although I gave it a total of 4 points, I won't be coming back because I have lactose and gluten intolerance and the truffle cream probably contained at least one of the two ingredients and I was therefore allowed to spend the evening with stomach cramps. A better product knowledge of the waiter who took the order would have been better here.

The fun isn't cheap; you should expect around 100 euros per head. But there are really good steaks, a nice environment and good, smart service. The wines on the menu are rather medium, but there is a separate wine list that is enjoyable, although this must be expressly requested.

Das essen war super lecker, Steak von hochwertiger Qualität. Der Service ist allerdings schlecht. In einem Imbiss bekommt man als Gast wesentlich mehr Aufmerksamkeit. Kellner sind unfreundlich und wirken lustlos. Für diesen Service sind die Preise leider total überzogen. Sowas gehört nicht auf die KÖ

We visited the restaurant with 3 people on Saturday. Our service was friendly and courteous, the dishes were visually appealing and tasted of a high standard. The fillet steaks are, of course, to the point. Minor compromises in the organization because, on the one hand, the dishes were not cleared away after the meal, I received an email during the meal that my reservation had been canceled and the copy of the invoice given came from another table. 😉 Nevertheless, all in all a clear recommendation.

I have now created a profile here to respond to the latest reviews. I've been a regular at The Grill for years. I haven't had the experiences that the ladies had and I didn't notice them either. By the ladies I mean the last 8 who gave 1 star reviews. All of whom repeatedly rate other companies on the same days. Seems like they belong together. The cuisine, the ambience and the service are always good. Of course, people work there and mistakes can happen from time to time. But that's human. If I want a good steak, I go to The Grill. In general, I don't think much of reviews because I prefer to form my own opinion. But I like reading what experiences others have had and what they recommend eating there. And I too have been disappointed in restaurants that I have visited around the world. But I still don't rate a restaurant in the worst way for days on end. When I read through all the reviews in front of the ladies, I have to say that I mostly only read positive ones and from people regardless of their nationality. So as a little tip, just go and have a look for yourself.

Centrally located steakhouse on the Kö with the ambience of “see and be seen”. Very nice interior with a partial view of the well-known shopping avenue. The file steaks were grilled to perfection, the side dishes were freshly prepared and the baked potato with sour cream was beautifully prepared. Only the size of the side dish portions was clearly too small given the high prices. The service also spoiled the overall picture that evening: lack of knowledge about the wines, then the wrong wine was brought, slow and then hectic in the service. That didn't fit with the overall picture at all. The steaks and the ambience alone were convincing. In this respect, a second chance for the service on the next visit.

Das Restaurant ist sehr hübsch, jedoch war die Bedingung unhöflich und wir mussten sehr lange warten bis wir an einen Tisch geboten wurden. Man muss mit sehr viel Zeit kommen. Nicht zu empfehlen.

Schönes Ambiente. Guter Service. Sollte man mal gewesen sein.

Der Service war ganz besonders gut. Sehr freundlich, sehr professionell. Unser Kellner hat sich eine Zeichnung gemacht und konnte so ohne Nachfragen die Gerichte jeweils dem richtigen Gast servieren. Der Steakhouse Burger ausgesprochen lecker, die Trüffelmayonnaise zu den Pommes ist sehr zu empfehlen. Alle Steaks waren zur Zufriedenheit meiner Kollegen. Der Shyraz als Wein war auch besonders gut mit Barrique Note. The Grill ist ein Lokal für den größeren Geldbeutel und man sollte reservieren. Sehr gut geeignet für ein Business Dinners.

In diesem Lokal gibt es keinen Service. Wir mussten 15 Minuten warten, bis die schmutzigen Teller vom Tisch genommen wurden. Ich möchte auch anmerken, dass das Personal im Restaurant extrem unempfänglich und unhöflich ist. Sie bewerten die Leute nach ihrer Kleidung und je nachdem, welche Kleidung sie tragen, ist auch der Service unterschiedlich. Ich empfehle Ihnen nicht, in diesem Ort zu sein

Hier gibt es gute Steaks. Etwas pricy, aber nach meiner Meinung, jeden Cent wert, auch wegen dem schönen Ausblick. Ein guter Schlüssel von Personal und Tischen, macht es möglich, jederzeit jemanden kommen zu lassen, sollte etwas gewünscht werden.

Leider hat sich der Service in diesem sehr teuren Restaurant sehr verschlechtert. Sehr lange Wartezeiten und schlechtes Zuhören bei den Bestellungen sind Dinge, die in einem solchen Restaurant nicht von uns erwartet wurden. Daher maximal 3 Sterne!

Noch nie in meinem Leben so gut gegessen. Bestes Fleisch und dazu noch frisches hausgemachtes Brot. Nur weiter zu empfehlen!

Steak ist in Ordnung, aber dafür ist die Atmosphäre gut. Preislich ist Upper Kö die #1, aber solche Steaks gibt’s auch bei anderen Steakhäuser. Beilagen sind sehr gut sowie der Sevice. 3 Personen 510€ Rechnung

A great steakhouse in the heart of the city centre. Great views, good food, good service, good atmosphere. Offers a good break from the bustling shopping street below it.

Absolute Spitzenklasse in der Hochwertigkeit des Fleisches und der anderen Speisen, besonders die US Nebraska Steaks haben eine traumhaft gute Qualität, unglaublich zart und ein hervorragender Geschmack. Auch der Sevice lässt nichts zu wünschen übrig. Hier kann man sich es als Gast gut gehen lassen. Die Kellner sind sehr aufmerksam und sind selbst wenn der Laden sehr voll ist immer sofort zur Stelle und lesen einem jeden Wunsch von den Augen ab. All das hat natürlich auch seinen Preis. Die Räumlichkeiten sind sehr geschmackvoll gestaltet und die Sitzemöglichekeiten sind sehr gemütlich. Das Restaurant befindet sich direkt an der Kö an einer edlen Adresse im zweiten Stock, im Sommer kann man herlich draußen auf dem Balkon sitzen. Unbedingt rechtzeitig vorher einen Tisch reservieren, damit man noch einen guten Platz bekommt.

Insgesamt ein gutes Steakhaus. Die Fleischauswahl ist okay und übersichtlich. Die Qualität sehr gut. Wie es sich für ein Steakhaus gehört wird das Fleisch auf den Punkt gebracht. Besonders gut gefallen haben mir die Vorspeisen - die Küche scheint einen leichten Touch ins Asiatische/japanische zu haben. Probieren Sie die Sardinen in der Dose - ein Genuss. Die Weinauswahl ist gut und man findet für jeden etwas. Preis Leistungstechnisch war alles im Rahmen

Angenehmes Ambiente. Personal sehr freundlich . Qualität vom Fleisch war top und auch auf dem Punkt . Preise natürlich etwas der Lage angepasst :-) Hunde sind Willkommen und bekommen auch einen Gruß aus der Küche .Daumen hoch l Bis zum nächsten mal.

Das beste Steak, was ich bisher hatte (US-Nebraska 300g, medium)! Außerdem sind die Garnelen im Tempurateig sehr zu empfehlen. Der Service war außerdem sehr aufmerksam, hat sich generell viel Mühe gegeben und war nicht versnobbt, was ich normalerweise in diesem Preissegment erwartet hätte. Daher waren wir positiv überrascht. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war gerechtfertigt. Das Ambiente war zudem sehr modern und wir konnten uns angenehm unterhalten. Wir kommen gerne wieder - dann im Sommer für die Außenterrasse (unschlagbare Lage) 😎

Sehr teuer, Qualität dafür nicht in Ordnung. Wir hatten ein Wiener Schnitzel und einen Cheeseburger. Das Schnitzel war das pure Grauen, 2/3 ungesalzene Panade und 1/3 Fleisch für 34,50 EUR. Der Burger war in Ordnung, allerdings mit 27,50 Euro auch nicht günstig. Die Getränke-Preise entsprechen denen der anderen Metropolen (11,50 EUR für eine Weinschorle), aber da hat man auch das Drumherum. Sorry, aber das Restaurant ist überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen, dafür gibt es zu viele tolle Alternativen in Düsseldorf. Das Personal war sehr nett, einzig die Profit-Gier des Inhabers (Preis-Leistung) führt uns kein weiteres Mal in dieses Restaurant.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier, die Erwartungen waren relativ hoch. Leider wurden diese nicht erfüllt. Der Eingang zum Restaurant liegt leicht versteckt rückseits des Gebäudes und ist wie das Treppenhaus nicht sehr einladend. Das Restaurant selbst ist gut eingerichtet. Das Essen war gut, den geforderten Preisen aber auf keinem Fall gerecht. Der Service war bei uns stark verbesserungswürdig. Wir hatten unsere Bestellung um 19:45 aufgegeben, die Vorspeise wurde kurz danach serviert. Bis zur Hauptspeise dauerte es dann aber deutlich zu lang. Diese kam gegen 21:30, leider auch nicht vollständig. Es fehlten mehrere Beilagen, die dann nach und nach gebracht wurden. Es schien als ob die Bedienung die Bestellung nicht korrekt in die Küche übergeben hatte. Die Nachspeise war lecker, aber auch diese war keinesfalls den Preis wert. Crumble verstehen wir übrigens anders als die Köche des The Grill. Zusammengefasst hatten wir einen netten Abend zu viert, beim nächsten Mal werden wir unseren Abend aber in einer anderen Lokation verbringen. Wir empfehlen The Grill nicht.
