Overall, definitely a recommendable restaurant. The ambiance is great, and the service was also good (even though the restaurant was completely full). The food was okay. I had the burger – it was alright. The bun was a pre-made one. My companion had the steak, which looked much better. Overall, everything was fine, and I would go again. Especially considering the price-performance ratio, it's absolutely good for Düsseldorf!

We ate there for the first time in a long time, and I have to say, they've unfortunately declined considerably. They usually served bread and a dip before meals, but that's no longer the case. I had a fish plate that had been carelessly slapped on, the baked potato was so small and squashed, no salad to garnish, the fish was very dry, and the shrimp was burnt. And then, at the end, they always offered a liqueur, which was no longer available. Really a shame.

Visited this steak restaurant with my wife. The meat was genuinely tasty, high quality, and well-prepared — definitely a strong point. Unfortunately, several other aspects left us disappointed. I ordered a meat dish that, according to the menu, came with potatoes and sauce. They served only the steak. When I asked about the garnish, the waitress claimed it wasn’t included. She didn’t bring the menu when requested, but later they did serve baked potatoes without further explanation. The chanterelle salad (20 €) was another letdown. It had maybe 30 grams of mushrooms at most. The dressing was supposed to be honey-mustard, but the salad leaves were wet — clearly not drained after washing — which watered everything down. Some leaves were wilted or yellowing. When we mentioned this, the waitress claimed it was because the hot mushrooms were placed on top. In reality, the bad leaves were underneath. And no, that watery mess was not dressing — I say this as a professional chef with over 20 years of experience. Plating was also underwhelming. A steak served with a slice of orange didn’t look appetizing or thought-through. This place has potential, especially with the quality of meat, but the service needs serious improvement. Staff shouldn’t argue with guests or offer excuses — their job is to listen and pass feedback to the kitchen or manager. Would I return? Probably not. The good steak isn’t enough to outweigh the poor service and disappointing details.

Not recommended, I had the lamb shank in port wine sauce. Lukewarm shank on delicious mashed potatoes with a light, packet-style gravy with dried onions. Horrible, no taste of port wine; they could have at least used the gravy from the proper bucket. Lukewarm is especially bad for lamb shank. Never again.

We probably won't be coming back. Even though there were a few free seats, we were simply seated at someone else's table without asking. After 45 minutes, we asked where our food was. It arrived cold. Our complaint was met with a tired smile. No refunds, no discount, or nightcap on the house. By the way, you can see fries in the picture...you should know. The price is €35...definitely too expensive for cold food and poor service.

Hungry after a walk along the Rhine, we discovered the Picasso restaurant. I had the skirt steak from the lunch menu with a baked potato and a mixed salad. The meat was buttery soft, the baked potato was perfectly cooked and very tasty with the sour cream. Next time I'm in Düsseldorf, I know where I'll eat again.

I decided to try out this typical tourist restaurant with my family, to get away from the usual german cuisine and to experience eating in this cosy street. The food was also tasty, for a high but not exceptionally high price. The problems came from the service. Even though it seemed authentic at first glance, it soon started to feel very rude and pushy. At the end, we got charged for a lot more than we actually ordered (multiple extra dishes were added to the bill, that we never received) and the waiter could barely get a sorry out of his mouth. When such a sum of money is asked, I expect the waiter to notice himself or at least be very embarrassed by what happened. Moral of the story: check the bill

The service was very unfriendly during our visit. We had to wait a long time for our order to be taken. The steak we ordered was cold, very tough and far from 'medium'. I really can't recommend this. The tapas were okay. The price-performance ratio is not even close.

It's a store with a nice atmosphere. However, there is a problem with the freshness of the ingredients, so I cannot recommend it. Both the shrimp and octopus at Ajillo had a texture that couldn't be called fresh, and the ribeye steak I was looking forward to ordering lacked the flavor of the meat itself. It's not too big, and the staff's approach is not bad, but in terms of the most important thing, the taste of the food, it's inferior to nearby Spanish restaurants.

We had a very pleasant time sitting outside at the end of January. The food is very tasty and freshly prepared. Be sure to try the sangria. Wow, I just received a notice from Google that the restaurant is taking action against my review. I would like to repeat this fact again, especially since I feel in good hands with three witnesses and legal protection: we asked you whether you had Estrella Galicia, which the employee replied in the affirmative. After he put the glasses in front of us (pointing out that they only said "San Miguel" on them, but there was Estrella in the glass), we asked the older (owner?) for advice. He said that they no longer had Estrella Galicia and that this was San Miguel. What kind of store is this? Where is this supposed to be “slander”? This is the witnessed truth that others should know.

In the late afternoon of December 30th. I was in the restaurant with my girlfriend and we were lucky enough to be able to order the fish platter from the lunch menu for 17.99 euros. The dish was ok, the portion size (I can imagine it being too little for a man), well seasoned and lovingly prepared. We were particularly pleased that we could choose a baked potato instead of boiled potatoes. A small, fresh salad was served with it. We would like to give special praise to our waiter Amin: He was not only extremely attentive, but also very humorous and made our visit a completely successful experience with his excellent service.

We have been eating here when we come to Düsseldorf for many years. The food, staff and atmosphere are very good, only the prices have recently increased significantly, too significantly.

We had to wait 25 minutes before being asked for our order. The waiter refused to speak English and kept speaking stiff German. Once we ordered the food, it arrived fairly quickly. The food tasted fine but was nothing special. But the service was really memorably bad.

Come sempre quando capito a Dusseldorf per lavoro mi fermo a mangiare in questo delizioso angolo di Spagna nel cuore dell'Altstadt. Arredamento in legno e tavoli in strada anche all'aperto, questo locale si fa apprezzare per il suo buon cibo, le sue tapas e soprattutto per la sua Paella, buona da competere con le migliori mangiate in Spagna. Il servizio a volte è un pochino lento ma ne vale la pena di aspettare. Prezzo tendenzialmente nella media ma comunque non esagerato.

Overall we were very satisfied. The waiter turned on the heaters outside and there were blankets, which the children were happy about. We ordered bread with aioli as a starter and then basically got bread with two small sauces on the house and then our ordered bread with aioli. The waiter could have mentioned this briefly, then we wouldn't have ordered it separately and perhaps had something else as a starter. The meat plate was okay, but the tomato soup was unfortunately far too spicy, even though I like it slightly spicy. The waiter wanted to bring a salad or pumpkin soup as compensation, but we were already full. The starter plate was very tasty. The drinks were also delicious and there was nothing to complain about. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced.

I don't mean to be mean here at all, but we were pretty upset after our visit. The four of us came to the restaurant, sat down outside and asked the waiter if the table was okay. He shrugged his shoulders and said, “If I have to.” We thought nothing of it. There was a lot going on and there seemed to be only a few waiters on duty at the moment, so the slightly longer wait wasn't a problem. When the waiter took our drink order, when I asked for a passion fruit spritzer (the others ordered sangria), he remarked: "Probably the only one who doesn't want to drink anything real." When the delivery was delivered, they said: "I don't want to serve something like that." It was certainly a joke, but it made us all feel slightly uncomfortable. When ordering food, the same waiter was very abrupt. One person in our group asked about the old lunch menu as she missed a dish from her last visit. The answer was harsh: “There is no other card.” Well. The food came quite quickly. However, there was no bread basket or other starters - on previous visits there were always some. Another person at the table had ordered an extra basket of bread with aioli, whereupon the waiter shook his head in irritation. Another person at the table too. When the food came, we both had a baked potato, so we asked the waiter. He appeared snide and said, "The kitchen is terribly messy today." We didn't care about the mishap - we were both happy with the potato - but we were very displeased with the tone in which the waiter shifted all responsibility to his colleagues in the kitchen. He didn't offer to bring us the fries, nor did he ask if there was a problem, but said he would see if he could get us a nightcap (which there wasn't). The food itself was good. The meat was very tender and flavorful. The beef was a little too mixed for my taste, but overall I was satisfied. The others had the Black Angus burger, the grilled shrimp and another meat plate. Everyone enjoyed it - no complaints at this point. My portion could have been a little larger for the price, but that was absolutely within reason. For example, once he let... a lemon wedge fell to the ground and instead of leaving it lying there or picking it up, he deliberately kicked it under the table of an adjacent restaurant. When we asked for the bill, he stated the price and directly asked for a tip. That also seemed like an attempt at humor, but after all it also seemed unsympathetic to us. We paid appropriately, even though we would have liked to have tipped for the meal. The waiter then asked in an extremely spiteful tone: "Where are you from?" “From Düsseldorf,” replied a local member of our group. “Not from Swabia?” he then said. It didn't even seem like a casual joke anymore, just a side swipe. It was unmistakably stated as "You cheapskates!" to understand what dispelled any vestige of desire to tip. The local person in our group went back into the store to constructively express her displeasure. The waiter then asked for an explanation for our dissatisfaction. In the near future I had actually planned to visit another restaurant in the cinema (directly opposite) before going to the cinema. Since my girlfriend has higher culinary standards, I wanted to try the restaurant. More than failed!! Never ever again!!

Great place for tapas when you tire of German food in Dusseldorf. It’s on a side street so quieter than main part of Aldstad. Skip the patatas brava and don’t miss the grilled squid.

La comida era muy buena. Mis compañeros tenían filete y chuleta de cordero: abrasado a la perfección con un centro rosa. Los espárragos blancos (en temporada) con mantequilla negra también estaban deliciosos. Mi sangría estaba un poco aguada, pero todos los demás disfrutaban de sus bebidas. ¿Regresaría? Definitivamente.

Before you eat here, think about how hungry you really are... We had to wait so long for our food. We had to wait for more than an hour. We didn't have time for dessert anymore. You weren't even asked if you wanted dessert. There was also no drink on the house. Apparently they think this is normal. In the end the food tasted good and the waitress did her best. But the overall picture is that it is poorly organized and it is certainly not recommended to eat here. The maintenance of the restaurant also leaves much to be desired. I will not eat at this livestock farm again.

It was really a horrible experience. I have ordered medium rib eye and recieves something burned. On the salat you have a nice artrificial dressing from Tesco or Billa. Before I had to return the glass of red wine because it was undrinklable. Never more here.

An einem Montag Abend, wenig Gäste, Bedienung sehr freundlich, gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis, spanische Küche, tapas, sehr gutes Rumpsteak mit Ofenkartoffel und Schweinefilet in Pflaumensosse gegessen. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Auch gutes Weinangebot, konnten wir leider nicht testen, da Autofahrer. Für Weisswein Fans würde ich den Lugana empfehlen. Der kommt zwar nicht aus Spanien ist aber ein sehr guter Wein vom Gardasee. Für Rotwein Fans gibt es sehr viele spanische Weine zur Auswahl. Meine Wahl wäre der Marqués de Cáceres Rioja Reserva, mit Aromen von Brombeere, Heidelbeeren und etwas Vanille dezent und samtig. Den werde ich beim nächsten mal probieren. Einen kleinen Punkt Abzug: Es war etwas kalt im Gastraum, für den 4.12. bei 2 Grad Außentemperatur hätte etwas mehr geheizt sein können.

Sehr gemütliches spanisches Restaurant mit leckeren Essen in guter Lage. Außerhalb des Mittagsmenüs nicht ganz billig aber die Steaks sind sehr gut und insbesondere die Saucen und Beilagen ebenso. Es uns sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Trotz wenig Betrieb hat es recht lange gedauert daher nicht die volle Punktezahl bei Service. Dennoch würden wir es wegen der Lage, Atmosphäre und dem guten Essen empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.
