Picasso in Düsseldorf

We had dinner at Picasso today. Very nice atmosphere, you feel comfortable. The service (Aman served us....5 stars.....super friendly and attentive. Unfortunately one star less for the food (at first) the service knows why...but with a special apology...one star again added to it. We recommend this restaurant and we will definitely come back. Thank you😊

Very authentic Spanish restaurant. Tapas, fish, steaks. The Black Angus Burger is highly recommended. Nice location on Schneider Wibbel Gasse. We had a very pleasant time sitting outside at the end of January. The food is very tasty and freshly prepared. Be sure to try the sangria. Very good service and friendly staff (we especially thank our waiter Amin). Since the restaurant is busy, reservations are recommended. The prices can be described as moderate.

Would never enter this store again. We had reserved a table online for New Year's Eve 2 days before and it was confirmed. We came on that day and it said that they tried to call me, which was a lie. Then the nice, unfriendly waiter (with a strong mouth smell) looked at his list and there was the name 🙄. When they didn't know what else to say to us, they asked us to try next door. There was no apology either.

Rather mediocre, we were disappointed. The waitress talks a lot, but did little to clarify some of the typical questions about Spanish food. The food was average, the atmosphere was too loud. There are certainly more attractive Spaniards in Düsseldorf.

Yesterday I was there again with my aunt. It's already a tradition. As always, super delicious food and even I was won over by the sensational lamb chops. The great ambience and friendly staff, especially our dear waiter Amin, made the evening perfect again!

A pleasure for all senses! I had the pleasure of eating at Picasso Restaurant and it was a wonderful experience! The Spanish cuisine is authentic, fresh and incredibly tasty - the paella and fillet steak are particularly recommended. The service was warm and attentive, and the entire team made sure we felt completely at home. The ambience is stylish and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or family. You can tell that people cook and work here with passion. I will definitely come back and can recommend the restaurant to anyone who loves Spanish food. Simply great!

Amin was the best and the food was excellent

Wow, I just received a notice from Google that the restaurant is taking action against my review. I would like to repeat this fact again, especially since I feel in good hands with three witnesses and legal protection: we asked you whether you had Estrella Galicia, which the employee replied in the affirmative. After he put the glasses in front of us (pointing out that they only said "San Miguel" on them, but there was Estrella in the glass), we asked the older (owner?) for advice. He said that they no longer had Estrella Galicia and that this was San Miguel. What kind of store is this? Where is this supposed to be “slander”? This is the witnessed truth that others should know.

In the late afternoon of December 30th. I was in the restaurant with my girlfriend and we were lucky enough to be able to order the fish platter from the lunch menu for 17.99 euros. The dish was ok, the portion size (I can imagine it being too little for a man), well seasoned and lovingly prepared. We were particularly pleased that we could choose a baked potato instead of boiled potatoes. A small, fresh salad was served with it. We would like to give special praise to our waiter Amin: He was not only extremely attentive, but also very humorous and made our visit a completely successful experience with his excellent service.

The deficiencies were corrected in a follow-up inspection, but anyone who handles food in this way could probably do it again. So everyone could weigh up for themselves. You just can't understand how conditions like this can/could exist in a restaurant in Düsseldorf's old town. This was the last time we ate there and we will never go there again. We have been eating here when we come to Düsseldorf for many years. The food, staff and atmosphere are very good, only the prices have recently increased significantly, too significantly.

We had to wait 25 minutes before being asked for our order. The waiter refused to speak English and kept speaking stiff German. Once we ordered the food, it arrived fairly quickly. The food tasted fine but was nothing special. But the service was really memorably bad.

Come sempre quando capito a Dusseldorf per lavoro mi fermo a mangiare in questo delizioso angolo di Spagna nel cuore dell'Altstadt. Arredamento in legno e tavoli in strada anche all'aperto, questo locale si fa apprezzare per il suo buon cibo, le sue tapas e soprattutto per la sua Paella, buona da competere con le migliori mangiate in Spagna. Il servizio a volte è un pochino lento ma ne vale la pena di aspettare. Prezzo tendenzialmente nella media ma comunque non esagerato.

Overall we were very satisfied. The waiter turned on the heaters outside and there were blankets, which the children were happy about. We ordered bread with aioli as a starter and then basically got bread with two small sauces on the house and then our ordered bread with aioli. The waiter could have mentioned this briefly, then we wouldn't have ordered it separately and perhaps had something else as a starter. The meat plate was okay, but the tomato soup was unfortunately far too spicy, even though I like it slightly spicy. The waiter wanted to bring a salad or pumpkin soup as compensation, but we were already full. The starter plate was very tasty. The drinks were also delicious and there was nothing to complain about. The food was very tasty and reasonably priced.

I came with three colleagues from work. It was my first time here, and all the dishes were delicious, and the beer was of course delicious. It was so delicious that I want to come again next time. The roasted peppers were simple but very delicious. Paella is of course recommended. It was raining that day, so there weren't many people in any of the restaurants, and when I visited there was only one other group. According to my colleague, it's usually very crowded, so I think it's best to make a reservation. .

Phew…. 🤷‍♂️ That was nothing. We tried the seafood tapas once... but we've eaten them 1000 times better. It's a shame...very, very sad. 😢 The fried anchovies and the grilled pimentos were the best. Everything else just didn't taste like anything. ☹️

Austrian waiter was in a good mood and very charming. . The burger was mediocre and the schnitzel was completely dry due to its thick breading. It's a shame actually. , . Herbas “sweet” is highly recommended. The head of the house was very affected and a strange guy. Best regards

I don't mean to be mean here at all, but we were pretty upset after our visit. The four of us came to the restaurant, sat down outside and asked the waiter if the table was okay. He shrugged his shoulders and said, “If I have to.” We thought nothing of it. There was a lot going on and there seemed to be only a few waiters on duty at the moment, so the slightly longer wait wasn't a problem. When the waiter took our drink order, when I asked for a passion fruit spritzer (the others ordered sangria), he remarked: "Probably the only one who doesn't want to drink anything real." When the delivery was delivered, they said: "I don't want to serve something like that." It was certainly a joke, but it made us all feel slightly uncomfortable. When ordering food, the same waiter was very abrupt. One person in our group asked about the old lunch menu as she missed a dish from her last visit. The answer was harsh: “There is no other card.” Well. The food came quite quickly. However, there was no bread basket or other starters - on previous visits there were always some. Another person at the table had ordered an extra basket of bread with aioli, whereupon the waiter shook his head in irritation. When the bread was delivered we thought it was a greeting from the kitchen - but it had already been ordered. I had ordered the meat platter and requested fries instead of the baked potato. Another person at the table too. When the food came, we both had a baked potato, so we asked the waiter. He appeared snide and said, "The kitchen is terribly messy today." We didn't care about the mishap - we were both happy with the potato - but we were very displeased with the tone in which the waiter shifted all responsibility to his colleagues in the kitchen. He didn't offer to bring us the fries, nor did he ask if there was a problem, but said he would see if he could get us a nightcap (which there wasn't). The food itself was good. The meat was very tender and flavorful. The beef was a little too mixed for my taste, but overall I was satisfied. The others had the Black Angus burger, the grilled shrimp and another meat plate. Everyone enjoyed it - no complaints at this point. My portion could have been a little larger for the price, but that was absolutely within reason. After eating we sat there for a moment, but we kept noticing the waiter in a negative way. I can't remember any details about that time - he generally seemed rushed and short, spoke harshly and seemed cynical. He was definitely under stress and at this rush hour he definitely had his hands full. But his behavior made us feel uncomfortable. For example, once he let... a lemon wedge fell to the ground and instead of leaving it lying there or picking it up, he deliberately kicked it under the table of an adjacent restaurant. When we asked for the bill, he stated the price and directly asked for a tip. That also seemed like an attempt at humor, but after all it also seemed unsympathetic to us. We paid appropriately, even though we would have liked to have tipped for the meal. The waiter then asked in an extremely spiteful tone: "Where are you from?" “From Düsseldorf,” replied a local member of our group. “Not from Swabia?” he then said. It didn't even seem like a casual joke anymore, just a side swipe. It was unmistakably stated as "You cheapskates!" to understand what dispelled any vestige of desire to tip. The local person in our group went back into the store to constructively express her displeasure. The waiter then asked for an explanation for our dissatisfaction. To fulfill this wish, I am writing this review.

One of the best Italian restaurants situated in the heart of düsseldorf, pasta with lax was so tasty portions was great too!!

If you don't dare, you won't win, I told myself to give this place, which is infamous as a typical “tourist restaurant”, a try. Unfortunately, it confirmed the negative prejudice. I was quickly assigned to a table that I had supposedly reserved in the inner terrace area. When seats in the outside area became available, I politely asked if I/we could swap: “No, it has already been reserved by three other guests!” was the negative answer. Which turned out to be a blatant lie, because less than three minutes passed when two couples sat down there and told me that they had just spontaneously decided to go to the restaurant I pointed out to the waiter that I don't like being lied to. He didn't react at all. It was just in the air that two people in the catering business don't have the same rights as four. Greetings from greed?!?Customer-friendly is different! The baby squid I ordered came without the accompanying salad bouquet. They were only lukewarm, which emphasized the oily taste. My companion's octopus was tasty when I tasted it, but when he ordered a carbonated water he got a still one. Hmmm… How many mistakes can you make? In the near future I had actually planned to visit another restaurant in the cinema (directly opposite) before going to the cinema. Since my girlfriend has higher culinary standards, I wanted to try the restaurant. More than failed!! Never ever again!!

I can make fun of myself alone. Ask the street canvasser if they have Estrella Galicia and he says yes. Inside I ask the owner about the order and he says: sorry, we don't have Estrella Galicia anymore. Great place for tapas when you tire of German food in Dusseldorf. It’s on a side street so quieter than main part of Aldstad. Skip the patatas brava and don’t miss the grilled squid.

This is the restaurant I visit every time I go to Düsseldorf for 20 years. Years pass, but the service and food quality do not change.

La comida era muy buena. Mis compañeros tenían filete y chuleta de cordero: abrasado a la perfección con un centro rosa. Los espárragos blancos (en temporada) con mantequilla negra también estaban deliciosos. Mi sangría estaba un poco aguada, pero todos los demás disfrutaban de sus bebidas. ¿Regresaría? Definitivamente.

A comida estava muito saborosa. Comemos paella tradicional, fillet chateaubriand e carne. Como cortesia nos deram Licor. Vale a pena conhecer.

We were here on Saturday afternoon when the weather was nice, so we were able to sit outside. Despite the fact that the alley is a hotspot, we were able to eat there very well and in peace. The restaurant has a good lunch menu, greetings from the kitchen, salad and mixed fish plate were very good. Great service from the head waiter. Can definitely be recommended.

delicious tapas, nice service, but not exactly "a bargain"

Before you eat here, think about how hungry you really are... We had to wait so long for our food. We had to wait for more than an hour. We didn't have time for dessert anymore. You weren't even asked if you wanted dessert. There was also no drink on the house. Apparently they think this is normal. In the end the food tasted good and the waitress did her best. But the overall picture is that it is poorly organized and it is certainly not recommended to eat here. The maintenance of the restaurant also leaves much to be desired. I will not eat at this livestock farm again.

It was really a horrible experience. I have ordered medium rib eye and recieves something burned. On the salat you have a nice artrificial dressing from Tesco or Billa. Before I had to return the glass of red wine because it was undrinklable. Never more here.

Well, what can you say. The service is very friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is inviting. But charging €5.50 for 4 slices of baguette with aioli is outrageous. It's free elsewhere. A handful of Pimientos de Padrón €7.50 costs €2 in Spain. I paid €35 ​​alone and wasn't full.

We ordered tapas, unfortunately at least my expectations were not met. The tapas were cold and tasted nothing special at all. To make matters worse, we went to the restaurant on a cold day. Unfortunately, the windows on the upper floor of the restaurant were removed; it was simply too cold in the entire restaurant. A TV with a fireplace video didn't help either. So the price-performance ratio was unfortunately very poor. It's a shame, it was a short excursion with employees of our company, which unfortunately wasn't particularly special.

Seid das Lokal nicht mehr Herrn „Arrogant“ Primo Lopez gehört wieder eine absolut empfehlenswerte Adresse. Nettes Ambiente, gutes Essen, freundlicher Service. Empfehlenswert!

An einem Montag Abend, wenig Gäste, Bedienung sehr freundlich, gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis, spanische Küche, tapas, sehr gutes Rumpsteak mit Ofenkartoffel und Schweinefilet in Pflaumensosse gegessen. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Auch gutes Weinangebot, konnten wir leider nicht testen, da Autofahrer. Für Weisswein Fans würde ich den Lugana empfehlen. Der kommt zwar nicht aus Spanien ist aber ein sehr guter Wein vom Gardasee. Für Rotwein Fans gibt es sehr viele spanische Weine zur Auswahl. Meine Wahl wäre der Marqués de Cáceres Rioja Reserva, mit Aromen von Brombeere, Heidelbeeren und etwas Vanille dezent und samtig. Den werde ich beim nächsten mal probieren. Einen kleinen Punkt Abzug: Es war etwas kalt im Gastraum, für den 4.12. bei 2 Grad Außentemperatur hätte etwas mehr geheizt sein können.

Sehr gemütliches spanisches Restaurant mit leckeren Essen in guter Lage. Außerhalb des Mittagsmenüs nicht ganz billig aber die Steaks sind sehr gut und insbesondere die Saucen und Beilagen ebenso. Es uns sehr gut geschmeckt hat. Trotz wenig Betrieb hat es recht lange gedauert daher nicht die volle Punktezahl bei Service. Dennoch würden wir es wegen der Lage, Atmosphäre und dem guten Essen empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Hallo 09.23 kann man wirklich empfehlen Preis/Leistung und Bedienung gut+ Sitzfläche "aua" waren 2,5 Stunden da. Gehen wieder hin nehmen 2 Sitzpolster oder die rüsten nach! Gruß

In einer kleinen und lautgelegen. Vorwiegend spanische Restaurants. Hat ein wenig südliches Flair. Es war ein wenig trubelig und laut. Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten, war die Bedienung später recht nett. Das Café Creme ist exzellent.

Schon ganz lecker, aber etwas hektisch und man wird bei leeren Gläsern nicht bedient, wenn man fertig ist mit essen.

Ich hatte heute, am 09.09.2023, das Vergnügen, euer Restaurant zu besuchen, und ich kann einfach nicht genug Lob für euren Koch aussprechen. Mein kulinarisches Erlebnis war absolut außergewöhnlich. Von der Vorspeise bis zum Dessert fühlte ich mich wie in einem kulinarischen Kunstwerk. Der Koch versteht es zweifellos, Aromen zu kombinieren und Gerichte zu präsentieren, die nicht nur köstlich, sondern auch visuell beeindruckend sind. Jeder Bissen war ein Geschmacksfeuerwerk. Der Service war ebenso tadellos. Das Personal war aufmerksam und freundlich, und euer Restaurant bietet eine einladende Atmosphäre. Insgesamt kann ich das Picaso uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Top Bedienung, alle Extra-Wünsche wurden optimal berücksichtigt.

Överraskande god Sir loin steak! Restaurangen ligger på en trevlig gata och vi hade en väldigt trevlig kväll.

Der Kellner war teilweise etwas schwer zu verstehen. Allerdings war er super nett sodass man darüber hinwegsehen kann. Das Essen war lecker und es war ein schöner Abend.

Wir waren immer gerne hier. Der Besitzer hat gewechselt und es ist jetzt wieder richtig gut. Leider hatte vorher alles sehr nachgelassen.

Essen und Ambiente waren gut. Der Service etwas unorientiert. Keine klare Struktur. Dadurch kam die Vorspeisen nicht gleichzeitig sondern im Abstand von 15 Minuten.

Waren Essen in der Schneider Wibbelgasse alles auf Spanischen Flair. Super Atmosphäre und auch angenehm zum verweilen, wenn man spanische Küche mag. Es gibt natürlich auch normales Essen (Italiener ist dort auch vertreten). Haben dort eine Vorsuppe und ein Hüftsteak gegessen mit Beilagen, war Super, nichts daran auszusetzen. Preisleistungs-Verhältnis an der Grenze. Alles in allem ein gemütlicher Abend. Nicht vergessen wenn man in der Schneider Wibbelgasse ist, den Schneider an der Nase zu reiben. Soll Glück bringen.

We went there with great expectations. We ordered a mixed fish grill plate for 2 person. It came approximately after 1 hour. The fish was cold. After the meal, we waited for another half an hour for the collection of empty dishes. And I attached a photo from the WC, total disaster. Sorry for the view.

Ein nettes Restaurant in der Schneider-Wibbel-Gasse. Wir waren zu zweit ohne Reservierung. Die Tische stehen eng beieinander. Da aber nur wenige Tische (Dienstag) besetzt waren, war es okay. Wir haben beide Spargel bestellt, einmal mit einem Schnitzel, einmal mit Hähnchenbrust. Superlecker! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Gerne kommen wir wieder.

Picasso ist ein sehr gemütliches, gutes Restaurant mitten in der Altstadt von Düsseldorf. Das Essen war sehr gut, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ebenso. Service und Personal super freundlich, versprühten eine spanische Lockerheit.

Wir waren mit 5 Personen an einem Samstag Abend hier. Wir hatten die gemischte Vorspeisen Platte und den Ziegenkäse als Vorspeise. Die Platte war gut und ausreichend, der Ziegenkäse etwas fad. Seevicekraft war neu und der 1. Tag, daher fehlten noch einige Infos. Typische Tapas gibt es dort leider nicht. Dafür gab es eine saisonale Spargelkarte. 3 von uns hatten auch den Spargel gewählt. Dieser war sehr gut, leider mit 3 Spargelstangen doch sehr spärlich belegt. Das Rumsteak war leider teilweise roh. Zum Ausgleich nach unserer Beschwerde wurde aber ein kostenloser Nachtisch angeboten. Kritik wurde gut aufgenommen. Daher auch nur im Moment 3 Sterne, hat aber gutes Potential für 4 Sterne.
