The food itself was tasty, but unfortunately it was served cold. Furthermore, we waited almost 45 minutes, even though we were the only two guests in the entire restaurant and the kitchen was already open. The staff seemed listless, unmotivated, and incompetent. No one checked on us at any point to see if everything was alright or if we wanted another drink or dessert with our main course. The cutlery was presented to us rather haphazardly, and our drinks weren't poured. I've experienced much better service at other "upscale" restaurants. On the positive side, the ambiance was lovely, and the background music was quiet and pleasant.

Very attentive service in a great location with a live DJ. Unfortunately, the spicy beef salad wasn't spicy, but otherwise everything was great!

The ambiance is very nice. Unfortunately, the waiters forgot something twice. Furthermore, their demeanor was unprofessional. They served the food from the wrong side, didn't ask if we were satisfied, and touched our plates with their thumbs while serving. The steak wasn't perfectly cooked. The side dishes weren't cooked properly. The prices were appropriate for the ambiance. Overall, the experience was mediocre, and there's plenty of room for improvement.

I was admittedly skeptical about the location and the clientele, but I was pleasantly surprised. We were here after work with colleagues and sat outside (we had a reservation). The service was friendly, and the food (steak) was delicious. The price was a bit high, but I think it was appropriate for the quality. The ambiance, both on the terrace and inside, was very nice and tasteful. I would definitely come back here for a steak meal. Colleagues who had pasta or similar dishes were not disappointed. The restaurant definitely specializes in delicious steaks with equally excellent side dishes and sauces.

The food/steak was perfectly prepared, and other dishes were also delicious. The tables are quite close together. Service was okay. It's quite an expensive place, so keep that in mind. But if you want to treat yourself and are looking for the perfect steak, this is the place to go.

I was pleasantly surprised by Rocca 800. The meat was cooked to perfection – grilled vigorously on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. You can tell that the food here is prepared with real expertise and passion. The selection of side dishes is well-balanced, and the bread is fresh and warm. The service was attentive without being intrusive. The atmosphere is modern, upscale, but not overly chic – simply pleasant. A definite recommendation for meat lovers. The prices aren't cheap, but they're absolutely fair considering the quality.

Very good food. The service staff was incredibly poor. You had to proactively approach the staff to even be heard. You had to push for a menu and push again to order something.

Great location in the Media Harbor and a lovely ambiance – especially pleasant on the terrace when the weather is nice. Unfortunately, the quality of the food, especially the steak, can't compete with Düsseldorf's leading steak restaurants. For us, the trend has been downward for several years. The service seemed inattentive and uninspired – when we politely asked whether the wine served was actually the Sauvignon Blanc we had ordered (the taste of which was very, very dubious), we received only a curt "Yes." When clearing the table, the only comment we received was: "The food was definitely good." Conclusion: OK for drinks in a pleasant atmosphere, but not really recommended for the food.

There were too many waiters, but you always had to call them over to place an order, they didn't come on their own, and the wait time was quite long. However, they were friendly. I ordered Mediterranean vegetables as a side dish, but they were served under the steak, so I initially thought they were just for decoration. The portion was very small, especially considering the price. That said, the quality of the food and the wine was excellent.

We were at ROCCA 800°C in Düsseldorf yesterday. It was supposed to be a special evening with my wife, but what we experienced was unfortunately the opposite. The service was disappointing from the start. Two 0.5l bottles of San Pellegrino for €7.50 were simply placed on our table. Not a word, not a pour. In a restaurant of this price range, I expect considerably more attention and courtesy. My entrecôte from Argentina (300g for €55) and my wife's fillet (300g for €38) were disappointing. The portions seemed smaller than advertised; the meat was simply placed on the plate, with no effort in the presentation. The rosemary potatoes were a bad joke—there were exactly five small quarters on the plate. That was all there was to it. Things got particularly unpleasant when I gave my wife a gift after dinner. The staff's stares were intrusive, almost greedy. It felt like we were being watched. This made an intimate gesture uncomfortable. I deliberately didn't leave a tip as I left. There was no reason to pay extra for the poor service and disinterest. As we left the restaurant, people whispered about us in the background. This is disrespectful and completely unprofessional. I can't recommend this restaurant to anyone. Anyone expecting good food, honest service, or a pleasant atmosphere will be disappointed. Overpriced, uncaring, and arrogant.

The decor of the restaurant is certainly tasteful. The food was very good.

I had a reservation at Rocca800 for my 30th birthday – and was deeply disappointed. Although half of my guests were already there on time, the reservation was canceled because not everyone showed up at the same time. There was no understanding, no flexibility – instead, the staff was extremely unfriendly and showed no interest in finding a solution. I was particularly shocked by the information I subsequently received from several sources: that your restaurant had allegedly attracted negative attention in the past on several occasions due to racist behavior. I sincerely hope that this wasn't the explanation for the behavior we encountered, as we were a group of 14 people (all Black). Unfortunately, after this experience, I can no longer rule it out. Such behavior is not only disappointing, but also deeply hurtful – especially on a day that should have been a cause for celebration. An absolute no-go for a supposedly upscale restaurant. I wouldn't recommend anyone to celebrate here—especially if you value politeness, respect, and dignified behavior. If I could give it 0 stars, I would!

I went to a steak restaurant with my family and was very disappointed. We had to wait an unusually long time for our food. My steak (ordered medium plus) was cooked perfectly the first time. The waitress was friendly and quickly brought me a new one after I mentioned it. Unfortunately, this one was dry and overcooked again. On the third attempt, the steak arrived after about 10 minutes - this time it was completely raw inside. I didn't send it back because everyone else at the table had already finished and it was just too annoying. That's a no-go for a steak restaurant. It's a shame because the service was attentive - but the food didn't live up to my expectations at all.

Blanton's Gold...what? Yes, this restaurant had Blanton's Gold. Was out to dinner with some colleagues i have not seen in a year. One of the colleagues I designed as the CEO (Chief Entertainment Officer) for one event. This place was chosen for dinner, and the food and service did not disappoint. I asked the server to decide on the starters. Great choice. I ordered the Argentine filet, and it was wonderful. I also had the desserts. Great evening and in a nice historic area. Definitely will go back.

Very tasty food, baked octopus, the Argentinian fillet was wonderful, and the Aperol Sour tasted like a dream. The ambiance was elegant, and the outside very inviting. Ms. Stelina (name on the bill) was very friendly, very polite, and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended, I'd be happy to go back.

The service was disappointing. After everyone was seated at our table, we had to wait an unusually long time for our menus, even though the restaurant was still barely busy and the wait staff were engrossed in conversation at the entrance. The handling of our wine request was particularly regrettable: We specifically asked for a dry wine and followed the staff's recommendation, but received one that tasted far too sweet. When we asked about it, the only response was, "It's just like that," and explained that it was a special wine considered dry in the region. My glass remained untouched after the first sip, while my mother forced it down. Several friends and acquaintances asked us afterward about our experience at Rocca. We could only answer honestly: good food, but unfortunately, poor service.

I was there on May 30, 2025, and was completely satisfied with the quality of the food, the service, and the ambience, except for one point, hence not a "5" for the ambiance. In keeping with the restaurant's high standards, it would be desirable for the staff to take a look at the wardrobe and behavior of some guests. I think that a cyclist's sweaty sportswear combined with the corresponding "body odor" after a bike ride doesn't do the situation justice. When he then also has his "carrying dog" sitting on his lap during dinner, and the dog then eats from the plate on its own, I've already reached the threshold of disgust. That's what happened at our visit at the next table. For some people, quality is simply hand cream...

It's a really nice restaurant, right by the Media Harbor, so it's in a great location. Nicely decorated, and you can even sit outside. The food: We had steak, which was really tasty, and the fries were also very good. What bothers me, however, is that the side dishes are really expensive and very small. I prefer the Abbacos concept, where you can always reorder the side dish you order for free, and for that price, you can even add a sauce to the steak. The price/performance ratio was okay.

A very good restaurant. The food was very tasty and the service was very friendly and quick. They even organized me a latte macchiato with lactose-free milk - even though it wasn't on the menu (they borrowed the milk from the restaurant across the street). Highly recommended!

Attentive service, cultivated dignified atmosphere. US fillet steak ordered medium rare should be grilled butterfly style according to the menu. It wasn't, instead it was well-done. But I didn't complain anymore because eating with two people in a row wouldn't have been nice either. So significant deductions due to incorrect cooking point. I was amazed that they couldn't do it. It's a shame about the beautiful fillet, the quality was ok. Unfortunately, spinach didn't taste like anything.

No, really disappointing. Significantly too few staff in service, long waiting times. Steak and prawns were ok, but presented a bit carelessly. Gambas should at least come with wet wipes to clean your fingers. Small bowl of water with lemon is common - but not there. Storage plate for bowls much too small...etc. Unfortunately disappointing

A really nice shop. We ate there with eight people on a Wednesday. I don't understand why there was so little going on there. The food was really good. Had the prawns as a starter and the Black Angus as a main course. Perfectly cooked. The service was good but not great. The ambience is really very nice. Overall, a nice evening. Gladly again.

Meat totally tasteless, side dishes tiny

The beef carpaccio is an exquisite choice if you are looking for a light yet aromatic introduction to the menu. We treated ourselves to an Aperol Spritz at lunchtime outside in the bright sunshine. The atmosphere here in the Media Harbor is simply beautiful, you have to enjoy the view. Of course you pay for all of this, an Aperol Spritz for €12 is more than anywhere else, but you're happy to pay that because the atmosphere is just right.

Very dark, but stylish ambience with extremely high ceilings, small table lighting creates a very warm ambience. The service was very polite, friendly and attentive. The food offered was as promised. very tasty. The different spices and Homa's meat worked together perfectly. Large rooms also suitable for groups. Otherwise, due to the complexity, it's a nice opportunity for two to spend a quiet evening. I'd love to do it again.

The food was great and the service was great. However, the wine prices are outrageous - for the Australian retail price: €30 and retail price: €125 - that's disproportionate!

We ate there yesterday and I was disappointed. As soon as we arrived, they obviously didn't know where to put us - even though I had made a reservation weeks ago. When it was mentioned that it was your birthday, everyone just congratulated you - there wasn't even a nightcap on the house. The steak was okay, but a bit cold. Flexibility in exchanging the standard rosemary potatoes for fries was not possible, everything has to be paid for separately. The truffle pasta was way too oily. All in all, the price-performance ratio was not appropriate.

Waiters, friendly, on point and accommodating. Ambience great. Meal (3 courses) at the right speed without a long wait. Quality of food good (fillet excellent, also tonka bean creme brulee, side dishes and shallot red wine sauce). Bread beforehand would have been nice or at least with the ordered starter (olives, dates, paprika cream) as well as slightly larger portions of side dishes (rosemary potatoes and grilled vegetables and asparagus ordered with them), but they didn't hurt the overall impression. Drinks (wine, beer, water, espresso) at the right temperature. Open wine (Primitivo) had a very pleasant taste and went well with the meat.

We had a very pleasant visit to ROCCA two days ago. The ambience is beautifully designed and there are various seating options, which creates a great atmosphere. The service was excellent - the gentleman who looked after us in particular was incredibly friendly and attentive. Our starters were a real highlight: my octopus and my companion's octopus carpaccio tasted excellent. The king prawns as the main course were also delicious. Unfortunately, my risotto with mushrooms and scallops didn't quite convince me. I felt like it was more of a mix of mushrooms, arugula and parmesan and the risotto itself took a bit of a backseat. When I asked, it was explained to me that it was prepared according to a specific recipe from the chef - which I then accepted. As we all know, tastes are different! Apart from that, our visit was absolutely successful and I can definitely recommend the restaurant. We'd love to come back!

I was there last night and I was very disappointed, very bad service, the food didn't taste good at all and you also had to wait a long time for everything. Personally, I would never go there again and wouldn't recommend it.

My partner invited me to Rocca for my birthday and we were really looking forward to this evening and came all the way from Leverkusen. As a starter we ordered black tiger prawns and kalamata olives with bread chips. What came was a salad with black tiger prawns. But it tasted good. When I told the other waiter (not our main waiter, who is extremely friendly) that we would have liked to have ordered some bread, to our surprise he replied with the words “oh what!!?!”. It was supposed to be funny, but we found it extremely inappropriate in a restaurant like this in this price segment. The bread was baked baguette! My fillet steak was good, although it lacked a bit of the roasted flavors that I knew from my last visit a few years ago. What was also new to me was that rosemary potatoes are automatically included in all meat dishes. These were in a mini pot on the plate and unfortunately didn't taste particularly good, nor did the spinach I also ordered in another mini pot for a whopping €7. Offering a 200 ml glass of Rioja wine for €16.80 is a disgrace. We didn't take it. Unfortunately my partner's steak was stringy. Right next to us at the table was a group of younger “gentlemen” who unfortunately shouted and laughed so loudly that conversation was impossible. We were then made aware that we had to leave the restaurant by 10:00 p.m. because a closed group would come then. Nobody told me about this when I made the reservation. When I first tried to make a reservation weeks ago, I was told that it would be completely closed on January 31st because of an event. Since I was suddenly able to make a reservation a week ago, they probably changed their mind in order to still be able to generate income until 10 p.m. We are very disappointed and will not come again and cannot recommend it.

Overall we had a very nice evening. The atmosphere was great and the ambience was right. During service you had the feeling that the colleagues were arguing among themselves. That was a bit uncomfortable. You can say that the food is an expensive restaurant, but for the price you would expect a certain level of quality. My partner had a steak with rosemary potatoes. There were a total of two small potatoes (cut in half) and they were also hard. The sauce with it tasted burnt. I had the truffle pasta because I'm a vegetarian. We found out in advance about what dishes are available via the official website. When we arrived there was a scaled down menu with only two total vegetarian pasta dishes. I thought that was a bit of a shame because we had been looking for a long time for a nice restaurant for our celebration where we would both be happy with our eating habits. With the truffle pasta I also have to say that I had way too much oil. In the end there was a whole puddle left in my plate

We were looking forward to a lovely evening at the Rocco 800° restaurant in Düsseldorf, but we were seriously disappointed. On a positive note, we found our seats quickly and the orders for food and drinks were taken promptly. But from that point things went steeply downhill. The steak we ordered was not done to the desired level of doneness, and it took a full 10 minutes before a waiter even acknowledged our complaint. Instead of solving the problem professionally, the steak was simply recooked and served on the same, now cold, plate. The doneness of the pasta with beef strips was also completely wrong. Instead of medium rare as requested, the meat was served almost raw. A correction here was also unprofessional and disappointing. The service seemed disinterested and not very customer oriented. Our complaints were grudgingly received, and when we tried to leave the restaurant we were simply ignored. When a restaurant offers such a culinary menu with corresponding prices, it also imposes a certain standard on itself. However, we couldn't find exactly this standard - an appropriate price-performance ratio - here. As someone who likes to pay a lot of money for good meat, this was a bitter disappointment. The ambience and the guests could not compensate for the poor atmosphere, the unprofessional service and the culinary disappointments. We will not visit this restaurant again - and we cannot recommend it either.

Apart from the perhaps somewhat impersonal greeting from the lady behind the reception desk, we really enjoyed our visit to the Rocca. For some quite impressive prices, but in a really stylish ambience, there was a wide selection of food and drinks at an extraordinary location in Düsseldorf's media harbor. The service at the table, the speed. The preparation of the dishes and their taste were flawless, so that after about 3 hours we left the restaurant really satisfied. I recommend visitors and guests of the Rocca to take a close look at the parking situation beforehand, which is not exactly ideal in the extensive media harbor. Otherwise, have fun visiting the restaurant, you won't regret it.

Our coats have been looking for forever. I ended up having to get up and find my coat myself. According to the website, dogs are forbidden, but there was a dog here that barked constantly. So we expected more class from the store.
