We reserved a table for 10 people here and were told there was only room outside, even though it was cool outside and everything inside was empty. The waiter didn't greet us particularly friendly and pointed out to us before we could even sit down that you couldn't pay separately. We didn't feel welcome at all and then left after no one had served us after 20 minutes or the promised blankets hadn't been brought to us. We then went to Meerbar opposite and luckily had a very nice evening there!

The location at the Media Harbor is great, the shop inside is very nice. We were here for the second time, but not just for a drink and were disappointed with the service and food. I ordered an Argentinian Black Angus fillet, the US fillet was later charged for + €7 more. When asked which side dish, I answered the steakhouse fries. I hadn't seen that there were rosemary potatoes as a side dish, that should have been pointed out to me. So there was both and I found the measly portion of fries for €9 outrageous. The truffle mayo for €4 was very soft and was already running away, not a nice sight or pleasure. The meat was good, but unfortunately already burnt on the top, as was my husband's burger. Unfortunately I was going to the toilet when my husband paid the bill, otherwise I would have said something. All in all, the food was okay, but carelessly prepared, overpriced and you had the feeling that you had been taken for a ride.

Ideal restaurant if you want to feel unwanted. Gladly not again. Food was okay, the location is nice, the staff is absolutely unworthy of such prices - any price actually. There weren't even five tables occupied and the five or so employees on site didn't even manage to pay attention. The greeting was sparse, there was no farewell. No dessert menu or espresso was offered after the meal. There was complete inflexibility in choosing the side dishes (you simply weren't allowed to change them), even though it would have been completely irrelevant to the presentation of the dish. Already at 8 p.m. you had the feeling that the employees just wanted to get off work. Awkward.

We sat here on the terrace for what felt like half an hour, wanting to order something. Since apparently no one saw us or wanted to serve us, we left again. The locality or location is beautiful

The meal was to my complete satisfaction, it had a steak and a salad. As I understand it, it is better to reserve a table. Otherwise it can happen that you don't get a space even though it's not fully occupied.

We were satisfied with the food. Unfortunately, the service was very slow and disorganized (almost 2 hours until the main course was served). The invoice was incorrect.

Very nice location with very helpful and friendly service staff. As a starter there was grilled octopus, which was incredibly tasty. Main course was beef fillet with truffled mashed potatoes (unusual) and spinach (very, very tasty) and rosemary potatoes. The cooking level was correct for all 4 people. Only one piece was not of great quality (end piece?). But since the others were perfect, it was probably a slip-up. Otherwise we had a wonderful evening on the terrace with a view of the harbor. The price corresponds to location and quality! We'd love to come back!

We were excited for Rocca 800 for my husbands birthday given the positive rating but we were very disappointed by our visit on July 21. Firstly, the restaurant (inside and outside) was empty and there were 3-4 waitstaff for about 7 tables total that were seated. The shocking part was the staff was just chatting with each other, and it took them 15+ minutes to come over to introduce themselves and ask if we wanted drinks. The service continued to be terrible, we had to actively get up to get the servers multiple times as they were just chatting amongst themselves (the restaurant was absolutely not busy). We had two broken glasses given to our table that needed to be replaced. The women’s bathroom was not working so everyone had to use the men’s and over the course of two hours it had not once been cleaned (see screenshots I will upload) and the paper towels were not replenished. The food was good, but very inconsistent. 4/5 of our group ordered steak and two people had lots of salt on it and two people had a couple of flakes visible but you couldn’t taste the salt. The lack of flexibility with the sides was also surprising. The steaks come with roasted potatoes and you are not allowed to change or upgrade them. You must be served the roasted potatoes even if you don’t want them. The decor was nicely done inside and outside, but unfortunately the atmosphere was still poor because of the lack of bathroom cleanliness and poor service. They seem to have serious issues with staff training and frankly, a lack of respect for their customers. If you can’t keep a clean bathroom and your staff prioritizes talking to each other over customers trying to order or pay, it feels rather disrespectful. With that in mind, we won’t be returning and told the person who recommended it to us they should no longer recommend it.

Today, I went to have Dinner at this Restaurant, biggest disappointment ever. Service was very bad, very slow reacting Employees, not attentive, wrong food order, and my fish order was half raw, vegie was tasteless. For 26 € Lachsfilet i expected quality and taste. They brought us water bottle no glas. Am definatly will not be going back there again. And definatly will not recomend it to anyone Very unfortunate, since the Ambience is beautiful .

Food was excellent! Wine was very good. Service was friendly, but we would have liked a little more service. We always refilled ourselves wine and our glasses were empty for a long time after the bottle. You could have sold more with us! The food and drinks were very good and of good quality and we felt very comfortable. Overall we were very satisfied!

Very nice outside, super delicious food

Generally OK. We expected more from the steak and the service was below the usual average. However, the ambience and location are nice.

Had to pay twice the amount on the menu.

We shared Chateaubriand, which was cooked to medium rare and tasted fantastic. I also had Mediterranean vegetables and green asparagus. Both were fine, but unfortunately came across as a bit bland. The starter Vitello Tonnato was also very good. The service, which was always attentive and also fulfilled special requests, also contributed to a very pleasant evening. I found the prices reasonable.

Nice restaurant with a great ambience. Service was very friendly at the beginning and accompanied us straight to the table. When we were all there, we finally got the card. Unfortunately it took a while before we could place the order. It seemed like the service was a bit overwhelmed. Luckily the food came quickly. We had a mixed starter platter, which unfortunately was rather semi-good. The shrimp were cold and there was no sauce. The bruschetta bread was so soggy that the dish had definitely been prepared for a long time. Unfortunately, the tuna tartare was also a bit bland. Main courses were a chateaubriand, fillet steak and roast beef. We had medium and medium rare. Unfortunately the cooking levels were not exact. The meat itself was okay and the side dishes weren't really anything special. For the price and the ambience we actually expected something different. Conclusion: great restaurant with average food.

The village In Düsseldorf it really fits I don't know if it's because people in Germany in general are lazy and don't want to work But it's ridiculous that in a city like this the kitchen is closed at 10 p.m. in a restaurant like this. If those were my employees, I would really give them a hard time. People are still doing too well in this country and yet you complain. Kitchen should easily be open until 11 p.m., if not midnight

What a great interior design concept and great food to match. I had such a fun time amongst the beautiful buildings designed by renowned architect Frank Gehry.

Great steak varieties as well as delicious servings of side dishes including jumbo shrimps which was sublime. The service was good and we enjoyed ourselves.

The restaurant itself is very nice looking very classy and elegant i give them they 10 toes for that, however the service and catering was a 0/10 the people were passive aggressive that we came around 10.30 because they probably thought they can click out earlier for the day but it’s weird because on the opening hours it states that they open til 1 am regardless of a holiday or not. I called two days before to reserve but they told me it’s not necessary and i should just come in. They only let me buy two cocktails and told me then the bar closes ?? But it’s opened til 1 that was very rude because it also was my birthday and i wished for a small dessert with a candle on the phone and they told me while I was there no. After the disrespect me n my friend just left to meerbar which were overall nicer and kinder than this restaurant 0 stars if i could I would even give -1.

Everything was great, steak on point, service attentive but not intrusive. Unfortunately the tonka bean creme brule is no longer available, which was very tasty. All joking aside, great go to location in Düsseldorf. A little more expensive. One of the few restaurants that offer octopus as a starter. Thank you and gladly again.

It took just under an hour from ordering to consuming the appetizer after the drinks were forgotten. Food was good, in principle...the staff doesn't know what they're doing and is completely disorganized.

The restaurant offers a really great atmosphere that is noticeable as soon as you enter. The furnishings are attractively designed and create a cozy and inviting environment. Whether you choose a romantic dinner for two or a social evening with friends, the atmosphere will definitely make you feel comfortable and enjoy the meal even more.

The ROCCA 800°C steakhaus is a nice restaurant next to the river with a decent looking menu and wine list. The service was good. I had an Argentinian Black Angus 300g fillet which was a bit over-cooked for medium, but with a very nice 'crust'; however it did get a little chewy towards the end (probably just unlucky with that particular piece of meat). My wife had a Uruguay 200g fillet which was a bit under-cooked for medium-rare, but seemed an excellent piece of meat. The sides were OK, although I didn't really like my béarnaise sauce. The bottle of Malbec I selected was very good. Desert was delicious but not what we anticipated from the description (Raspberry Tiramisu). We went quite early (18:00) and the restaurant was very quiet (which we liked). In summary, I would recommend and visit again.

This restaurant was the best decision I've made in a long time!!! If you want to eat a great steak, you should make a reservation here. I rarely say that but even the service was a 10/10 so nice and courteous staff all respect :)! Maybe it's because we visited Rocco on a Monday and it's a bit more stressful at the weekend, which makes it harder to deliver everything perfectly! But today it was MEGA!

An experience meal in the Medienhafen: 1.) In the sunshine on the terrace under the umbrella 2.) Food arrived and with it a heavy rain shower and storm. The service responded immediately and brought our food straight inside. Very good reaction. The food was a little warmer than "lukewarm" due to the "forced move", but tasted great! Fried to perfection 1 x medium, 1 x medium rare! And it hung well, no meat juice came out. Tender in the meat and well seared on the outside! Greetings to the kitchen. Argentinian Prime Black Angus Beef, Roast Beef 300 gr, Uruguay Black Angus Beef, Entrecote 300 gr,. Dessert: Creme brulee with a peach sorbet. As written: an experience eat! We would love to come back!!!

Just don't go here. More appearance than reality. All cocktails are so diluted with water, not normal. The food was “OK” at best. A tragedy for the price. Welcome to Düesseldorf 💁‍♂️

Unfortunately, cocktails are very bad. Whiskey sour only tastes like alcohol. Lillet Wildberry is stretched with water. The lamb's lettuce has far too much dressing, tastes only of honey and only has a few crumbs of walnuts in it. The scallops were good, as was the pea curry. Unfortunately not recommended overall, you just pay for the location. The prices are far too expensive for what is on offer.

Was there for dinner on 04/25/24. Unfortunately my experience was very mixed. Starters were very good! However, the doneness of my steak was clearly missed (instead of medium I got well done). In addition, the potatoes were not cooked through.

Our 3rd and last visit to Rocca800°. As a starter we ordered 2 Riesling soups. These also arrived quite quickly, but when I was serving the soup I noticed that there was a long black hair in a plate (this should have been noticed in a white cream soup in the kitchen or at the latest when the staff was served). Of course I let the soup go back. After my husband had already finished his soup, my soup came again, so everyone had to eat individually. Absolute no-go. For the main course we ordered roast beef and entrecote, each 300gr and both medium+. The roast beef was perfectly prepared but the entrecote was completely done, so well done. Unfortunately, in terms of taste, it was the worst steak my husband has eaten. I tried it too and can only confirm this. I complained about this to the waiter. All he got was a clumsy reply that he hadn't heard anything like that since he'd been working at the restaurant, but he'd pass it on to the kitchen. After that, there was nothing more from the staff. We then paid the amount shown on the invoice and left very disappointed.

The salad was fantastic but d pasta was just bad and ridiculously expensive. The waiter was arrogant, we were guided to a table but he felt it necessary to ask what we wanted without asking if we wanted to order.

I've been to Rocca many times, both professionally and privately. Unfortunately, we didn't like it at all on our last visit. The service was friendly but never there if you wanted to order something (drinks). You always had to make sure you caught someone who was just passing by. The DJ's music (it felt) got louder and louder and you could hardly understand your own words. To start we had a mixed appetizer platter. Here I was a bit surprised that things were prepared for us that weren't even on the menu. OK in itself, but you could/should have pointed out that maybe not everyone eats everything. Accordingly, I was also surprised that the menu (online) does not correspond to the menu in the restaurant. Unfortunately, I can't say what's actually current. CONCLUSION I like the restaurants in the harbor, but I will only visit Rocca in the summer for a glass of wine on the terrace. Continue to enjoy steak on Tussmanstrasse.

This is a really excellent restaurant in the center of Düsseldorf, in a very nice location on the 'Am Handelshafen'. The place has a nice, attractive interior (and importantly, good comfortable seats). In addition, the staff was friendly and helpful. I had a really excellent meal here upon invitation (4 course dinner)! And had a beautiful evening! Recommended

I don't normally write reviews, unfortunately I can't get around it here... The ambience is really great - we really liked that. The starters were successful and tasty. My steak from Uruguay was also good, my wife's (USA) was really stringy and didn't taste OK, but maybe it was a mistake. Staff: we often go out to eat and we are globetrotters - but I don't see any joy in working there - don't get me wrong - we paid over 220 euros for 3 steaks and a veggie burger (bruschetta starter) and a cocktail and 2 mint drinks for the 2 Children and I beer. Then the waiter's question through the flower for a good tip (which I always like to give) I found quite wrong! Maybe the staff had a bad day - but we really imagined our little family trip would be nicer. I'm sorry - but you really have to do something - we won't be coming anymore

Nice ambience, service takes a really long time to give up the assigned tables for drinks and receive drinks 1 hour at least the food came very quickly but they still got such a bad steak for the price and so little in the way of side dishes. Totally overpriced and not delivered.

Ambience very atmospheric, despite many guests for a Friday evening in February, relaxed conversation is still possible at the table Staff were very quick and courteous, when the standard Primtivo red wine vintage 2022 was not available, a suitable, full-bodied alternative in the same price range immediately came. 400g. Uruguayan entrecôte was English-medium exactly as ordered, but disproportionately stringy, and the spinach side dish was a little too drenched in olive oil. Especially between Thu-Sat. It is recommended to book a table in advance 7-10 days in advance

Really great atmosphere, worth it :)

We arrived and the service was very friendly. I ordered the prime beef burger, but when the burger was served the brioche was burnt. Then I got a new one and there must have been something wrong with it because pretty much immediately after we paid I threw up. The only thing we were given was a trash can and serving food so we could clean it up. Not friendly, I can't recommend it

First of all: at these prices you should be able to expect decent soap in the toilets, which are already mediocre clean. The packet of soap was so diluted that it was no longer funny. We had the wild herb salad with strips of beef fillet (the "strips" were more like pieces of beef). The salad was literally drowned in the dressing. Otherwise it tasted pretty good, even if you had to look for the meat. For the main course we had Argentinian entrecote and the burger. All in all it was ok. Good meat but the base of the side dish (mushroom ragout) was too thin. Fries were good. For this reason 3 points. Service was OK. Again, nothing outstanding, a bit slow. Therefore 4 points. The ambience itself was nice and romantic, but I found the toilets to be rather unclean for a restaurant in this price range. In addition, the cleanliness of the tables was not optimal and so I deducted 3 points.

It still exists: the good old temple for expense knights. The very inviting atmosphere upon entry is immediately ruined by the staff trying to be more distinguished than the guests. Rarely have I seen such an old-fashioned and narrow-minded waiter as in this much-praised steak restaurant. The food overall was very mediocre. But it is disproportionately expensive. The wine list is extensive and quite worthy of such a restaurant. But that’s it for the positive reviews. The food came carelessly and unimaginatively presented on cold plates. The American rump steak was perfect, but when cooked medium it disappointed with a very fatty third that was inedible. When clearing away, no one asked whether the guest enjoyed it. Conclusion: I was here exactly twice today, for the first and last time :-(

Perfect for meat eaters, great ambience and very courteous service. We felt comfortable at Rocca and enjoyed very good food, both in terms of quality and craftsmanship. The service staff was very competent and attentive. Fortunately, the waiting times between courses were short. In short: We were definitely not there for the last time.

Excellent steaks and decently sized servings

Hervorragendes Essen in optimaler Portionsgröße, der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Außerdem ist hervorzuheben, dass sämtliche Fragen zu Essen und Wein kompetent beantwortet werden konnten. Es ist eine Spur zu dunkel und etwas zu laut gewesen, aber alles in allem absolut weiter zu empfehlen.

Schickes Ambiente, guter Service, hervorragende Steaks. Wir hatten Entrecote und Filet vom Argentinischen Weiderind, beides auf den Punkt zubereitet und butterzart. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Leider von der Essensqualität extrem enttäuscht. Vor ein paar Jahren war es ein Erlebnis, jetzt nur noch enttäuschend. Ein Filet von Premium Qualität mit Sehnen, die nicht zu schneiden waren. Eine Vorspeise so groß wie ein Hauptgericht hat in einem guten Restaurant nichts zu suchen. Die teueren Wasserflaschen kamen bereits ohne Deckel geöffnet an den Tisch. Das Ambiente war aber sehr schön.

Sehr freundliches und professionelles Personal, das findet man derzeit selten. Ich habe dort drei Gänge gegessen und jeder einzelne Gang schmeckte prima- Gehe gerne wieder dorthin!

Wir hatten um ca. 19:30 Uhr, eine halbe Stunde nach Ankunft unsere Bestellung aufgegeben. um 20:13 Uhr erhielten wir erst die Vorspeise, um 21:09 Uhr - EINE STUNDE später erhielten wir die Hauptspeise. Die Majonaise zu den Pommes war fettig und roch ranzig, das Entrecôte als auch die Filets war definitiv nicht medium sondern medium rare gebraten. Leider wurde uns eine größere Gruppe von ca. 40 Leuten vorgezogen, das restliche Restaurant war kaum gefüllt, weshalb es nicht nachzuvollziehen ist, weshalb unsere Speisen mit einer solchen Verzögerung serviert wurden. Und eine solch große Gruppe kündigt sich ja auch frühzeitig an, sodass man das Personal dementsprechend einplanen könnte. Leider definitiv nicht zufriedenstellend für diese Preise!

+Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und bemüht. - Das Steak war sehr trocken und zäh weswegen es einfach ungenießbar war. Leider eine sehr schlechte fleischqualität. Der coleslaw war bereits verdorben (Siehe Foto). Haben wir natürlich zurückgegeben. Der zweite Anlauf vom Coleslaw war dann in Ordnung.

Es wurde viel zu wenig Saft verwendet in dem Cocktail es war mehr Eis vorhanden und viel zu wenig Flüssigkeit. Bitte in Zukunft mehr auf die Dosierung vom Eis achten. Der Cocktail ist leider nicht weiter zu empfehlen.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker Leider ist das Personal immer schlecht gelaunt und lustlos 😉 Wenn das Personal auch so gut wäre wie das Essen, würde es volle Punktzahl geben... Waren schon öfter da und dachten beim ersten mal das die Mitarbeiter einfach nur einen schlechten Tag hatten , leider scheint das der Dauerzustand zu sein 🤷 sehr schade

Ambiente ist Mega. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich, und höflich zurückhaltend. Das Essen ist auch sehr gut, nur das Tatar haben wir schon besser gegessen. Dafür war der Gin Tonic Mega

2 Besuch: Ambiente und Service wie zuvor. Dir Beilagen und Hauptspeise sind alle sehr lecker. Das Steak enttäuscht leider. Immer noch keine Kruste und gar keine Räucherei Aromen. Und das ist sehr schade da das Fleisch an für sich von guter Qualität ist. 1 Besuch: Ein sehr gutes Steakhouse, schöne Lage und tolle Atmosphäre. Aber, das, sehr leckere, Steak kam nicht mit der versprochenen Kruste. Und auch wenn das Personal sehr sehr freundlich war, hat man irgendwie gemerkt das es nur aufgesetzte Freundlichkeit war. Auch wenn alles sehr lecker war nur 4/5.

Sanntags abends, wir haben uns auf den Weg mit unserem Hund zum Rocca gemacht. Sollte unser erstes Mal werden, wir gehen öfter ins gehobene Restaurants und sind entsprechenden Service gewohnt. Am Empfang wurden wir, freundlich - aber bestimmt abgewiesen. Hunde sind nicht erlaubt. Wir haben uns den großen Gästeraum angeschaut, es waren max. 6 Gäste da. Wir können alle das Reff & Beef empfehlen - hier bekommt sogar unser Kleiner ein Steak als Standard.

Essen 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Atmosphäre 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Das Einzige was uns nicht gefallen hat, dass der Kellner nach Tringeld gebettelt hat und tatsächlich verhandeln wollte. Hab schon viele Restaurants besucht. Sowas hab ich noch nie erlebt. Zitat: möchten Sie mir nicht ein Weihnachtsgeschenk machen? „Wir können uns doch in der Mitte einigen“ Nach 15,1€ Trinkgeld unverschämt!!

Ein edles Lokal mit schöner Atmosphäre. Essen und Personal waren nett. Warum ein Stern ? Hier sollen barrierefreie Sanitäranlagen sein, die im Nachbarrestaurant genutzt werden können. VORSICHT ! Das stimmt nicht. Man wird rüber begleitet, um dann festzustellen, daß 4 hohe Stufen da sind. Dann wieder durch das ganze Restaurant raus und durch einen Hintereingang ebenerdig rein. Die Toiletten sind stockdunkel, Schatz gestrichen und in sehr schlechtem Zustand. Behindertengerecht ist hier natürlich gar nichts und ich war gezwungen eine wunderschöne Veranstaltung früh zu verlassen. Das war ein sehr entwürdigendes Erlebnis.

Sehr nettes Personal und zwar haben sehr lange mit Küche (auf unsere Gruppe) gewartet als wir kommen (Flüge nach Ddorf storniert)...aber doch geschafft mit 1 Menü,aber sehr lecker...Fleisch sehr gut gewürzt und im Pkt gebraten. Sehr gutes Wein Auswahl und sehr freundliches Personal.... Nur zum empfehlen.... Wir kommen wieder....
