El Lazo in Düsseldorf

Wir hatten verschiedene Tapas, die uns allen gut schmeckten. War alles sehr lecker. Das Steak, argentinisches Filet war auch lecker, die Beilagen wie z.B. Brokkoli eher mittelmäßig. Der Service war nett und das Essen kam mit nem guten Timing für alle. Gesessen haben wir an der Treppe zum Vorratskeller und die Tür ging auch mindestens 10x während des Essens auf inkl etwas Kelleratmosphäre. Das war sehr unglücklich gelöst.

I've been coming to El Lazo over and over again for 40 years. What can be capitalized? You could sit me blindfolded in front of some steaks. I would always recognize that from El Lazo by the taste. There is nothing better!

Food was great. Would go back at any time. In terms of price it wasn't the cheapest. However, the price is not always everything. The steak was exactly how I liked it and ordered it. Despite a full house. And that was worth the money to me.

Malgré un petit problème en arrivant (notre réservation n'avait pas été confirmée), on nous a trouvé une table ... avec le sourire. La carte très bien garnie, est disponible en anglais. Au vu des assiettes bien remplies, on n'a pas pris d'entrée. Comme plat : entrecôte et filet pur. Les deux viandes cuites exactement comme demandé et accompagnées de frites et légumes. Le tout était délicieux. On a partagé une assiette de fromage espagnol avant d'attaquer des desserts plus que copieux. Une addition très raisonnable pour un repas de qualité en plein centre de Dusseldorf. Bref, une soirée réussie.

I went to this steakhouse with my girlfriend after a walk in Düsseldorf. We were warmly welcomed and asked whether we would like a seat outside or inside the restaurant. We decided to go inside the restaurant. We got a place straight away without booking in advance. The drinks were taken and we were given the menu. I ordered the 300g fillet for myself, with sweet potato fries. My girlfriend got the fillet in 200gr. and fried potatoes with bacon and onions. Both meals were cooked to perfection and tasted excellent. The ambience is rustic and very fitting for a steakhouse. The toilets are clean and modern. The service is very attentive and they are open to questions. In terms of price, it was completely acceptable based on the quality of the food and not too expensive. I can really recommend this steakhouse with a clear and clear conscience! My only drawback, I forgot to take photos of the dishes, sorry about that, but it's worth eating there.

I had dinner at the restaurant with my family on a Sunday evening. I just have to say it was awesome. The drinks were at the table super quickly. When we ordered the food, it arrived very quickly. Even though the wrong food came once, the service was understanding and the food was complained about immediately. What you just have to say, the food was amazing. I haven't eaten such a good steak in a long time. We were also invited for a round of drinks as an apology. In my opinion, this is good service and it is important that customers have a nice evening and a pleasant stay in the restaurant. I would come again and again. In terms of price, the shop is also great for the quality of the food. Well deserved 5/5 stars.

My daughter’s Birthday on a Friday night. The entire neighborhood is lively but very safe. All the outdoor bistros and restaurants are bustling with music and people - high energy. El Lazo steaks did not disappoint. My daughter had the Angus, I had the Lamb. Asked the waiter for a pairing of the lamb dish with the best beer selection and it was delicious. Finally fireworks in the Tiramisu was a beautiful birthday surprise.

No full points for the price/performance anymore, unfortunately you now have to buy everything separately, 1-2 years ago it was still a price with fries and salad, it's a shame that you changed it like that. The meat quality is still 1A

If you like to eat good steaks in an exceptional ambience, this is the place for you. The food tasted very good and our wishes were taken into account when ordering the food. In general, we were completely satisfied and would be happy to come back as soon as we were back in Düsseldorf.

Previously my regular restaurant, I ate here again yesterday for the first time since Corona. The quality of the food and the friendliness of the service were again top! But when I looked at the menu I was initially shocked. The prices for food have been increased by an incredible 25-30% on average!

WORST food, service, and communication I have ever faced in a restaurant. And if the manager tries to mention us as a group of impolite and unpleasant guests, I would like him to remember that this impolite group just asked if we could change tables in case one of the outside tables got free, and what he did was shout, swear and cursing in Spanish thinking that we did not understand. Very comfortably furnished steakhouse in the middle of the old town. The service was great. The drinks and food came quickly even though the place was full. Our group received free bread before the meal and a schnapps on the house after the meal. My steak was cooked top medium. I would visit El Lazo again.

Steak was very rare, instead of medium rare. There were far too few fries. No herb butter or anything like that. Very sobering experience. The waiter did not act in the interests of the guest.

An outstanding Spanish restaurant with a lot of competent service and outstanding cuisine! The restaurant was opened in 1975 by Pepe and his wife and sold to the new owner about 10 years ago. But they kept the great staff and chefs and expanded both the menu and the rooms. The food is simply a pleasure!!! And even if you're not sure what you want to eat, the outstanding manager, who is a chef himself, is there to help you and recommend something. I ate there with my mother for many years and the same lady was very critical but always more than enthusiastic!!! Very good quality and great cuisine whether tapas, fish or just an outstanding steak from the grill. It's a pleasure to dine here and simply let yourself be pampered. This restaurant is second to none and for me it is the best Spanish restaurant in Düsseldorf!!!

I'm a down-to-earth Dutch person, but this restaurant is by far the best restaurant in town. The steaks are really of "another lvl". Definitely recommended and therefore, in my opinion, should not be missing from your city trip. Very friendly crew, present but at a distance. ((My favorite restaurant next to "La Fonda, Barcelona")) PS; It is wise to sit at the table between 6:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM. Can be busy and close surprisingly early. But that cannot be otherwise if you deliver quality from start to finish. PS2: smokers; During the opening months of the terrace, it is wise to choose a table there. Smoking is not allowed inside, just like in the Netherlands.

El Lazo TOP Louisiana versus FLOP We, a small family of four, first looked for a table in the Lazo restaurant. The waiter greeted us warmly, even though the restaurant was very full, and offered us a table despite not having a reservation. He also politely informed us that the wait time for food would be at least 45 minutes as he realized we were traveling with children. Since this took too long for us with children, we thanked them warmly and decided to move on. Our second attempt at the Louisiana restaurant across the street was disappointing. The store was only half full, but the staff, especially the team management, were very unfriendly and completely unprofessional. We were treated rudely even though we were only looking for a table for four, similar to the previous restaurant. The experience here was extremely negative, especially the aggressive reaction of the team management almost made us flee. Therefore, we recommend that you do yourself a favor and go to the EL Lazo restaurant.

Were there with a group of 5 people. Everyone had steak 350g with fried potatoes. Something went wrong for each person. One had a steak that was burnt on the outside, had to be replaced and waited 30 minutes for it. The other person was able to sort the fried potatoes because 1/3 of them were burnt. We wouldn't eat there again.

OK. Reservation was confirmed, but staff was rude. There are said to be problems with the reservation system. Food was very hard fried. One steak was completely black. There were stupid sayings from the staff again.

One of the top 3 steak places you can eat in Düsseldorf. The meat is really good and delicious. But we should not take credit for the master who cooks the meat, seals it and preserves its juice. Even though the venue design seemed a bit old, everything was perfect. The meat was cooked very well and was like cotton. If I go again, I will definitely stop by again. Prices are normal👍 We went as 4 people. All four of us are meat lovers and everyone left very satisfied.
