Very friendly service and excellent staff. The food was plentiful and delicious. Portions are generous. You can choose the amount of meat. We come here every two years for the trade fair. Always a pleasure at El Lazo.

Even though we couldn't sit at a large table due to the size of the space, the cozy atmosphere and the very attentive service made it absolutely perfect. The food was outstanding: the steaks were cooked to perfection, as was the salmon – everyone was satisfied. A particularly nice touch: the team had lovingly prepared the table. I visited El Lazo Steakhouse in Düsseldorf and was absolutely thrilled! My steak was cooked to perfection, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. It came with a baked potato and spinach and broccoli on the side, all freshly prepared and perfectly seasoned. The fresh bread with herb butter was also particularly delicious and absolutely delicious. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, but never intrusive, making you feel truly welcome as a guest. El Lazo is absolutely reasonable in terms of price for the quality and portion size offered. The atmosphere is also pleasant—cozy, stylish, and ideal for a relaxed evening. Overall, a fantastic steakhouse that I can recommend at any time. Everything is just right here: quality, service, and ambiance!

We were there today with four people. The food was excellent. However, we found €4.80 for a Coke Zero to be quite expensive.

A bit dark and rustic, but very nice and cozy! We've eaten there three times in four or five years and have always been very satisfied. Yes, okay, the prices are a bit high, which is probably due to the old town atmosphere, but it's still okay! We had a 350g rump steak with various side dishes. The meat comes from the charcoal grill and tastes accordingly. You have to like it. We like it and will be happy to come back! ☺️

Friendly upon arrival. Unfortunately, as the evening progressed, they became increasingly rude. The meat was good, but nothing special. They sighed when I asked for the dessert menu. They then wanted a tip, but unfortunately, you have to earn it and certainly not demand it. Such a shame!

We've been eating there for many years. We came all the way from Cologne. The staff is extremely friendly and the atmosphere is fantastic. The food is always great, no matter what you order. Delicious fresh bread with herb butter is served first, and depending on the dish, a delicious salad is also included. 😋 The prices are reasonable and good. Personally, a visit to El Lazo Steakhouse is always worth the trip. 🚗 🤗

We ate here on a Monday afternoon. Very friendly staff. You can sit on the terrace in the middle of Bolkerstraße, where there's plenty to see. An awning also provides shade. The steak was a bit too medium for me, but it was super juicy and well-seasoned. The prices are a bit high, probably due to the quality and location.

Excellent restaurant in the heart of Düsseldorf's Altstadt. Excellent quality meat, cooked to perfection, attentive and friendly service. The rustic and welcoming atmosphere is ideal for a relaxing or romantic dinner. Prices are a bit high, but justified by the quality and central location. Reservations are recommended on weekends. A must-try if you love Argentinean-style grills.

We went to El Lazo Steakhouse today after a boat trip on the Rhine. The servers were very polite and friendly. Drinks and food were priced the same as everywhere in Düsseldorf's Old Town. We started with bread on the house with herb butter. We ate the El Lazo mixed plate for around €50 for two people, and everything on the hot plate was delicious. The mixed salad was fresh and the dressing delicious. The tomato soup was really good. The side dishes of fried potatoes were well-seared and sweet potato fries were crispy. This steakhouse is highly recommended if you're in Düsseldorf's Old Town. Thank you very much, we'd be happy to come back.

El Lazo was recommended by the concierge at our hotel. It did not disappoint! Darío was a wonderful waiter! He was so personable, outgoing and friendly. The steak was cooked perfectly and the flavor was excellent! We will definitely return if we make it to Düsseldorf in the future.

Great place to sit, eat and watch

had one of the best steaks of my life at this restaurant. Of course, in general, you shouldn’t expect top-notch service from hotel or restaurant staff in Germany, but this place was an exception. Two young guys work here, and they were extremely polite and kind. However, there was also a middle-aged man who I honestly wished hadn’t come to our table—he seemed a bit drunk and wasn’t exactly pleasant. As a starter, they brought us some bread with a savory, herbed garlic butter that was absolutely amazing. Other than that not-so-friendly waiter, everything else was excellent. So, if you’re planning to visit, go for the food—not the service. 😎

The steak was very good but I've never had such a rude behaviour from the older waiter The waiter is smoking in the entrance with a dirty shirt and when our group is leaving, gives us angry remarks about not tipping him and wishes us well sarcastically and swearing us of Our group felt very uncomfortable about this, ruined the good food I am amazed how this can abide in a restaurant in 2025. Do something about this!!!

Went there for business dinner. Service was great, food was awesome! Great place overall.

Today we had the salad with beef fillet and the salad with salmon. Both were incredibly delicious. The fish and meat were cooked to perfection, tender, and practically fell apart. The servers were very polite and prompt. We were asked several times if everything was okay. We felt completely at home. The sprinklers with the mist were also very pleasant. We'll definitely be back!

Very disappointed in this place. We got ourselves the "shrimps" tapas dish for 16€, and received 6 little shrimps in some oil (pic attached). Even the meat dishes don’t come with any sides (we had to order some fries with the meat as extra). We felt ripped off. The flavors are honestly not bad, but definitely not that great to justify these prices…

I have visited this steakhouse on three different occasions, I have ordered three different steaks, and all three times everything was amazing! They know how to grill steaks, they know how to prepare the sauces, and they know how to make their guests feel welcome. Very highly recommended!!

Decent steak house. I can recommend the filet or the entrecote, both were very good. We went here as a group of 6. 5 out of 6 steaks cooked very well, one was supposed to be medium but was very rare when sent back twice. When it was 'medium' it was way too cooked on the outside. So that ruined it slightly. But overall, it was a very good meal!

A wonderful steakhouse with a long tradition (in this location for 50 years). The meat is always perfect, the service is warm and extremely efficient, and the atmosphere is wonderfully rustic in the heart of the old town. The lunch menu offers a (perfectly cooked and tender) rump steak for €17.80, and when the waitress noticed it was my son's birthday today, she even gave him a dessert plate with a sparkler on the house. Thank you so much, and I hope this restaurant stays around for a long time!

Great steaks, great house dressing for the salad, great house beer, fantastic red wine jus. Located in the heart of the old town, it's very popular. For a table on the weekend, be sure to reserve a week in advance.

The meat was very good. The fries were thin and standard, and the salad was also standard. The interior was very dark and rustic. The honey rum schnapps was very tasty.

They serve delicious steaks, as well as fish options and small appetizers. I didn't try the latter, so I can't comment on them. The steak was exactly as ordered (medium rare), not overdone and not too red. Steak prices range from about €20-40, depending on the size and cut, of course. Since the Old Town gets crowded quickly in the evenings, reservations are recommended.

We had a very good meal here at Lazo, and above all, we had a peaceful meal. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and the salad was excellent. Highly recommended, especially since you can't hear the hustle and bustle of the world's longest bar inside.

Yesterday we celebrated my birthday in this restaurant. The atmosphere and service were pleasant. Unfortunately, when we ordered the mix grill plate, we were informed that this plate was not available. Then you should take this dish off the menu if it is not on offer. Today we had dinner with Dino and his great team and what can I say. Mega awesome perfect. We haven't had such warm service and such delicious food in a rustic atmosphere for a long time. We would be happy to drive 240 km from Trier again to experience it. Stay as you are... for us you are "winners of the hearts of My Local, Your Local".

Always overcrowded during trade fair times, it is advisable to reserve a place in good time The steaks are grilled on an open charcoal fire in the restaurant, the beef used is always exceptionally tender and well done, and the various vegetables and potato side dishes are also cooked to perfection. There is also draft beer and a wide selection of Spanish and German wines I have been a guest here at trade fairs for almost 40 years and can only warmly recommend the restaurant

We (4 adults) were at Lazo on Saturday evening. We've been eating there again and again for years. Unfortunately, with very changeable experiences. On Saturday we ordered the TAPAS "EL LAZO" as a starter for two people for a total of €38.00. We received a smaller rectangular plate with two bruschettas (a third of the plate was already full), two mussels, a few pimentos, fried boquerones, mushrooms, a small slice of ham and two small cheese wedges. This appetizer is totally overpriced. The meat dishes were good. The specially ordered pepper sauce was watery and also too expensive at €3.50. It was also annoying that the amount of fries ordered was very limited. The rose wine was good and inexpensive. The service was friendly. Conclusion: We didn't get full and paid quite a lot. We won't be coming back for a while.
