ABSOLUTE DISASTER – ONE STAR IS STILL TOO MANY! We wanted to enjoy a good steak at this "restaurant" but what we got was the worst experience ever! The waitress was rude, disrespectful and loud - just a shame for the restaurant industry! We ordered a house salad – and what does it do? A damn Caesar salad! When I pointed this out to her, she didn't even have the decency to apologize. Instead, all I got was a bold “That’s just the way it is!” Are you crazy?! When I said that a Caesar salad usually contains chicken, the answer came with an incredible arrogance: “If you want chicken, you have to order it separately!” I have never experienced such impudence! This “restaurant” is not a restaurant, but a circus full of disrespect! And the best thing at last: This rude woman had the audacity to expect a tip at the end! This is just ridiculous! I recommend that you stop letting this “waitress” take orders and instead tie her to the entrance like a rabid chain dog! Then she would at least have a task that corresponds to her nature. I am ashamed of the restaurant owner who employs people like this. An absolute nightmare! Never again!

Disappointing service at Abacco’s Steakhouse Unfortunately, our visit to Abacco’s Steakhouse was not as pleasant as we had hoped. Our waiter, Mo, was extremely unsympathetic and unfriendly. Instead of a warm welcome, we received annoyed looks and eye rolls for no reason. This made the whole atmosphere unpleasant and we didn't feel welcome at all. The food was okay, but Mo's service unfortunately spoiled the overall impression. What a shame! We will think carefully about whether we come back again in the future.

We got a 400g hip that was completely solid and ice cold, it had a wide gray edge and the middle looked like it had been cured. We tried it with two people and we both decided that it was so inedible. Especially at the price. Then we complained about the piece and the waiter passed it on and then a lady came who wanted to know what was going on. We then showed her another steak for comparison and also referred again to the ice-cold skirt steak. At this point I would like to say that I was friendly and said everything in a reasonable tone without letting the incident dampen our spirits. After a few tries and comparisons, we were able to persuade them to swap the steak. She left and after 2-4 minutes a nice young man came with a new hip that was perfect but from that point on we were no longer served. When I ended up canceling my drink, which I didn't get after ordering, the bar lady was loudly upset about it. But I didn't see the point when I already had to pay around €170 for a drink that I didn't get. Were there often, it was always nice, that's why there are so many stars, but today was a very unpleasant visit and the last.

We were regulars because we love the food - we went about every 2/3 weeks. In any case, you should always check your receipt - a lot of waiters try to rip you off here - for up to €30 - we have experienced this more than once. Additionally, this restaurant lost two of its highest paying customers today. Background: As we often do, we walked past it on a Sunday evening. There was a new MA who placed the customers. Two customers in front of us (also not reserved and clearly German looking) got a table straight away. We were sent away with the remark: “Nothing free, only back in an hour” (two southern citizens probably noticed). We left. We then discovered online that you could reserve for exactly the time we had. About 5 minutes later we called under the name Maier to ask if we could come over now. This was possible without any problems. We made our anger clear to the MA on the phone. He talked his way out of it - the kitchen was overloaded etc. and it would be back in half an hour. Whether we will pass again is currently questionable.

Full enthusiasm! The meat is of the best quality, we had beef fillet, which is served briefly grilled on the hot stone and you cook it yourself - the way you prefer! Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Sweet potato fries were out. The 200g fillet was also sold out. The service then tried to persuade us to take the 300g fillet. The potato gratin was more of a potato sour cream flatbread that was just under the roaster. The fries were cold. After we pointed this out, we were given new fries after less than 2 minutes. Never spent so much money on such bad food. You notice the mass processing.

At first you were pressured to order, even though not everyone was there yet and this was clearly communicated. Over the course of the evening, orders that he had taken were repeatedly not booked and we had to remind him several times. We waited over 20 minutes for our dessert, after we mentioned it it finally came. The worst thing at the end was when we paid, we had 3 desserts, it was on the menu for €22.90, when we paid he hadn't booked the offer and even after we pointed it out to him, he said he couldn't do anything about it and that it was our fault because we didn't point it out to him. In the end we had to pay the original price and also give him a tip. If it hadn't been for the waiter, it would have been a really nice evening.

We spontaneously decided to redeem our bon bon vouchers here this afternoon (Friday) and reserved a table for the evening. When we arrived we were quickly and friendly taken to our table, which was already ready even though we had been there a good 10 minutes earlier and the restaurant was extremely full. The wonderful lady who accompanied us throughout the evening, served us and explained everything, was extremely polite, attentive and deeply relaxed for the amount of work she had to do (she had a lot of tables). The concept of the meal is extremely clever because everyone gets their food at the same time and can enjoy it exactly how they want. I also had a potato gratin as a side dish and I have to say I am absolutely thrilled. Both the meat and side dishes were absolutely on point. For dessert there was the crème brûlée, which was also a success. My husband and I can only give a clear recommendation to try it yourself. Keep it up

What was unusual for us was that we ordered a side dish, but after 20-25 minutes it still wasn't served. When we asked the waitress that we no longer wanted the side dish, she just said that there was a lot going on and that she couldn't do anything about it. For the price you pay, this shouldn't really happen, even if there is a lot going on. The ambience is okay, but it is so loud that you can hardly understand the person you are talking to. Super tasty, but it was too loud for me while I was eating. Actually something good since the restaurant is always full, but I couldn't enjoy the steak. Chimichurri and the BBQ sauce are very tasty. Unfortunately, my visit to this restaurant was anything but satisfactory. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted by a very strong smell of grease, which immediately reminded me of a snack bar - far from what you would expect in a restaurant that values ​​quality. The smell was so unpleasant that it overshadowed the entire stay and severely affected the ambience. When it comes to the price-performance ratio, I unfortunately have to say that I was also very disappointed here. For the relatively high prices, I expected the quality and preparation of the food to be significantly better. Instead, I was served dishes that were neither convincing in terms of taste nor presentation. The food seemed more like mass production which didn't justify the high price. As far as the service is concerned, it was unfortunately also unacceptable. It may be common practice to ask for tips in some restaurants, but I found the behavior of the service staff to be unreasonably intrusive. The handling of the bill was particularly disappointing, with the waiters almost looking straight into the wallet, as if deciding on the guests' finances was a matter of course. In a professional environment this should not be the case. The highlight of the poor service was the behavior of the “shift manager”, who obviously had no understanding of how to properly interact with guests. Instead of appearing friendly and helpful, his behavior was rather rude and unprofessional. This shouldn't happen in a restaurant and I'm sure it made many guests feel uncomfortable. Overall my visit to this restaurant was a very disappointing experience. The combination of unpleasant smell, inflated prices and poor service really overshadowed my stay. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be coming back. I hope that management takes the criticism seriously and works on the points mentioned to improve the experience for future guests.

The concept of the restaurant is great, everyone can choose their cooking level with the hot stone. As soon as the stone is cold, you get a new one. The quality of the meat is very good and it tastes super delicious. The selection of side dishes is large. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service is courteous and super nice.

Great food, a unique experience using the lava stones to get your steak to the desired doneness. It was also delicious, the atmosphere was appropriate and very pleasant. The waitress put us off at the beginning, making us wait to distribute cutlery to empty tables and not making eye contact. This could also have been done if we studied the map at the table.

There is always such beautiful singing here in the evenings. Jaques with his organ grinder and the little monkey also comes by again (there was probably an argument about the tip). From time to time there are theme evenings. World War I, Star Trek, 70s disco… all guests and staff are always in costume. On Maria's fortieth birthday, Mike Krüger was even there and sang a few songs with the acoustic guitar. It was a very nice evening. Greetings to Marko and Sascha!

I don't even know where to start. We have eaten at this restaurant countless times, but after this most recent visit I was more than just disappointed - I was embarrassed and deeply outraged. I have never experienced such unprofessional treatment of guests in my life and I can only advise anyone not to pay this restaurant another visit. First of all, the exorbitant prices, which are now completely outrageous. A 0.33l glass bottle of Coca-Cola, which you can get in the supermarket for less than €1, costs €4.50 here. These extortionate prices are hard to beat in terms of cheekiness! And when you imagine what kind of margins are achieved on the steaks, you can only shake your head. The ambience is just as catastrophic: it's incredibly loud, you feel like you're sitting on a display and the smell that clings to your clothes is unbearable. You don't feel like you're in a cozy steakhouse, but more like you're in a musty, crowded canteen. This is not a “dinner experience” – this is just unpleasant. But the absolute low point was the incident with the waitress. We paid €106.70, gave €120 and expected the usual balance back. But instead the waitress tried to give us a tip of €13.30. She stared at the money, waited, and when she realized that we wouldn't give her that amount voluntarily, she simply kept €1.30. She returned later with the remaining money - but what she brought was just a ridiculous pile of pennies. An absolute disgrace! However, what really represented the height of impertinence was the shift leader's reaction. Instead of questioning his employee's behavior or apologizing to us, all he said was a succinct sentence: "The colleague certainly had no choice but to change." Something like that really leaves you speechless. Not only was it rude, it was completely incompetent and shows a complete lack of professionalism and customer focus. I hereby appeal urgently to the franchisor of this restaurant: This type of staff and this incompetent shift manager are driving this restaurant straight into ruin. It cannot be that such behavior is simply tolerated. We will certainly never go to this restaurant again - and I hope the franchisor finally steps in and replaces this completely unprofessional team. Anyone who works with pennies and such exorbitant prices has nothing to do with a good restaurant. Conclusion: stay away!

I simply cannot understand the positive reviews about this restaurant. My wife and I ate there on Friday and the experience was simply disappointing. The ambience is successful and great. Appears smaller from the outside, but is very large at the back. Service is mediocre, rather bad for a steakhouse like this. For the price asked, I expect a perfect fillet and not a hot stone that doesn't have the heat to make a really good roast. The fillet wasn't even medium-rare and so I ate it English. I didn't read the menu or ignored the fact that there were already fries and ordered some again. Here too, the lady from service failed and didn't draw attention to it. Since 4 out of 5 colleagues had the same experience, I had the feeling that I wasn't too stupid to read the card. Overall, overpriced, bad shop that leaves it up to the customer to ruin the steak. Last but not least, the American Pie wasn't even mediocre

It is not an easy review. Let's start with what was good: the steaks and friendliness of the waiter. What should be improved: the speed and accuracy of the kitchen. In few times they missed the orders, it took quite some time to get the appetizer and then brought the same order twice. What should be changed: the manager. We had just received the steaks and a guy appear out of nowhere telling us that we have been at the table for almost 2hours and should be ready to leave. We thought it was a joke and then realized he really meant it. I told him that the service was slow and that's why it is non sense his request and his answer was "have you seen how full the restaurant is" At the end we had a great night but the unfriendly guy really tried to ruin it.

We were at Abaccos on Saturday December 14th, 2024 and were actually of the firm opinion that we wouldn't be able to get a table without a reservation because the Abaccos was very full. It was our 10th anniversary and unfortunately we forgot to make a reservation. BUT thanks to the two very nice receptionists there was a great table after waiting 5 minutes and our evening was saved. Thanks again. Our evening was perfect. Service, food, drinks👍 everything. As we were leaving, the gentleman at reception asked us how our evening was and wished us all the best. (doesn't happen often) Thanks again for everything. We will definitely come back (with reservation)

We came to this steakhouse as a group of seven, excited for an evening of delicious food, wine, and good company. The atmosphere was lovely, the location was convenient, and the service staff was friendly and approachable. We enjoyed the antipasti, steaks, and sides, which all lived up to our expectations. However, the experience was soured by several issues. While the service team was kind, they seemed disorganized, bringing double orders at times and forgetting items we had requested. This was manageable and something we could overlook, but what happened next was truly unacceptable. In the middle of our meal—right after our steaks were served—the restaurant manager approached us and bluntly stated, “Your 2-hour slot is finished, and you need to leave.” I hadn’t even taken my first bite and was looking forward to dessert. It took a frustrating 10 minutes of convincing for him to let us stay, and even then, he returned twice more to pressure us to vacate the table. If I wanted a rushed meal, I would have gone to a fast-food chain, not a steakhouse where you expect to enjoy your food at a leisurely pace. This experience completely undermined the evening, and I can confidently say I will not return as long as this manager is in charge. Good food and ambiance cannot make up for this kind of poor treatment of guests. Dining out should feel like a pleasure, not a timed chore.

Abacco’s Steakhouse in Düsseldorf is an absolute must for every steak lover! The quality of the meat is outstanding – perfectly prepared and cooked to perfection. Εξαιρετικές κοπές κρεάτων που τις παρουσιάζουν απ’ την αρχή ωμές έτσι ώστε να γνωρίζεις τι θα σου φέρουν. Το κρέας έρχεται πάνω σε μαντέμι που το ψήνεις εσύ όσο θέλεις. Άμα είσαι έτοιμος να πληρώσεις αρκετά χρήματα αξίζει η εμπειρία.

Waiters, friendly, on point and accommodating. Ambience great. Meal (3 courses) at the right speed without a long wait. Quality of food good (fillet excellent, also tonka bean creme brulee, side dishes and shallot red wine sauce). Bread beforehand would have been nice or at least with the ordered starter (olives, dates, paprika cream) as well as slightly larger portions of side dishes (rosemary potatoes and grilled vegetables and asparagus ordered with them), but they didn't hurt the overall impression. Drinks (wine, beer, water, espresso) at the right temperature. Open wine (Primitivo) had a very pleasant taste and went well with the meat.
