Very nice space. We got soup and a main course. All very tasty. Katerina who served us was excellent and very friendly.

Really romantic and cool atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious foods. You can also buy original taste of block house products. Close to Rhein and swing caorusel.

We have been to Blockhaus many times, in several cities and it has always been very good. However, things were better a few years ago. If you go here I would definitely recommend eating a steak and none of the other dishes. Unfortunately, they haven't convinced us so far.

Meats are great. I also recommend their salads and desserts. The service is fine.

Went to Blockhaus in Düsseldorf for the first time yesterday. I was really very positively surprised. The service was very friendly, the steak was cooked to perfection and didn't take long to arrive. All in all a good experience. Highly recommended.

We have been going to the Block House in Düsseldorf for 10 years and always look forward to the steak and salmon 👌! The staff is always well organized, courteous and nice. Keep it up!

I visited the Blockhouse today. My expectations were not met at all. The food was carelessly presented on the plate. The Ofenfartofel was more like a baked potato... I gave it back. Then a potato gratin was brought to me. Just as bad... Probably from the ready-made bag and warmed up. T-bone steak was ok but not a big hit either. The dish for €43 is unbelievable

I love the food at Block House. Simply delicious. The food is served very quickly and the waiters are all very friendly. Very child friendly!

Wasn't really what I expected. Fries paper-thin like at McDonalds, just a fingertip of coleslaw and a burnt meatball on the “burger”, which consisted of dry garlic bread and the meatball.

Its salads are very good, it is a must-visit establishment for those who want to eat meat. We tried the ribeye and liked it very much.

Very tasty and great selection. The service is very nice and accommodating, no problem even with three children.

Block House in Dusseldorf is excellent. As a Hamburger, I know the block restaurants very well but in Dusseldorf it is always a little better. The service is perfect and the waiter Mirko was great!!

The restaurant has a very cozy and inviting atmosphere, we enjoyed the steak very much and I am more than satisfied with the friendly and quick service from Daniel, who was also fun to have. We only had to wait 10 minutes for our steak and ate our small appetizer in the meantime. I go home full and satisfied and would love to come back.

Are currently eating at the Block House. The “fitness plate” for €17 is an absolute joke. Sorry, but some grilled vegetables and four strips of steak? I seriously wonder who will get fed up with this. Same with my friend's steak. Mini steak and then €34. The store definitely won't see us anymore. Absolutely overpriced.

We were passing through and made a stopover in Düsseldorf with my family (two adults and three children) to have a home-style meal, as usual, in a block house. As Hamburg residents, we are big fans of the chain and have eaten at various Block House restaurants countless times - always without any problems. Unfortunately, this time we had a very unpleasant experience. Our two older children usually share a dish, which has never been a problem. But in this branch this was strictly rejected. The manager personally came to our table to explain to us why it was "impossible" to share the steak and serve it on two plates. Although we told him that this was always possible in other restaurants, he didn't even want to discuss his point of view and seemed irritated when we interrupted him. He insisted on reciting his explanation to the end, but was clearly annoyed that we wanted to have the conversation any other way. To this day, we still have no idea why it was so difficult to divide our children's food onto two plates - something that works without problems in all other Block House branches. At this point we would like to emphasize that the rest of the staff were very nice and tried hard, which we really appreciate. It is therefore all the more unfortunate that the experience with the manager negatively affected our entire experience. It's also a real shame that for the first time in our lives we didn't leave a tip - that's always part of our visits. We would like to encourage the manager to comment in writing and explain his point of view. It would be interesting to know why this practice, which is completely normal in Hamburg, is so strictly rejected in this branch. Our experience at this branch was very disappointing. As long-time guests of the Block House chain, we feel that we are not taken seriously and that we are downright patronized. It's a real shame as our children have always enjoyed visiting this restaurant. We will avoid this branch in the future.

I was in Dusseldorf for my first time on business and was looking for a typical place to eat. Unfortunately in that area I only found pubs, many pubs. Then I finally discovered BLOCK HOUSE! From the outside it gave me the impression of a very welcoming restaurant... It's a little place that won me over straight away! Historic, with photos of the staff and their typical products on the walls. Here you can find an excellent salad with 0 km products as a starter, spectacular meat of different weights accompanied by a classic and buttery jacket potato with a sauce that will win you over. All with Camargue salt to taste! Low prices. All smiling staff. Fantastic!

35 euros for a steak with a potato is steep. So 50 euros per person with 2 drinks is just steep.

Good quality food, you can sit outside when the weather is good.

Steak barely had any taste, very strange combination for the salad and the service smelled like cigarette smoke, although the rest of the service was fine. The 4,90€ potato gratin was by far the best thing on the plate. For sky high prices that’s just not ok.

Short and sweet. Very disappointed. The food reminded me of canteen food, even that is better. I also told the waiter that I thought the food was bad. Then it was also cold, so I expected more for a log cabin, maybe it was because we only paid €13.00 per person for the meal instead of €30.00 per person. The staff took note and didn't come either, sorry, cappuccino is on the house. It's a shame we were tourists and of course we will never go there again, but I wouldn't recommend it.

I think is really tourist place , we order ribeye steak and was really bad , no taste , and also not fresh , we get cold fries , and also the soup was without taste , water was better than soup .

No more sirloin steak in the steakhouse at 1:20 p.m.?? 🤔 A lunch offer should already be available for the specified period.

We experienced it as a large team, the steaks were served to the consistency we wanted, the presentation was very good, I recommend it. My only flaw is that I could not find the aromatic taste I expected in the meat. When the portion is 40 euros, people are looking for that too...

Top service! The rump steak was medium as requested and tasted very smoky and fresh. The sour cream is very tasty in combination with the baked potato. A small salad in advance with a wide variety of dressings is mixed, just a bit expensive for the size. All around a solid steak restaurant at fair prices.

The positive, service very friendly and great location on Burgplatz. The negative, unfortunately, is the food. I expected a lot more from Block House, the real steak restaurant. My wife's "mushroom steak" which was supposed to be well done was medium well, my bone steak which was supposed to be medium well was medium rare. I expected a lot more from a steak house. The Block House Cheeseburger that my daughter wanted had ZERO to do with a cheeseburger but was a Blockhouse bread with meat baked with cheese. The whole fun cost 130 euros including drinks. A total disappointment! I'm happy to pay the price if the quality is right, but unfortunately the steak houses in Düsseldorf really disappoint me. Fortunately, there are many restaurants in the old town that are more careful with their customers' orders and are also significantly cheaper.

Excellent food and first class service - especially from GF Mr. Nenkov I was really impressed by the blockhouse in Düsseldorf. The food was excellent, from the quality to the taste – just great! There was one small thing that didn't quite fit, but that was immediately resolved in an incredibly professional and friendly manner. The managing director, Mr. Nenkov, took care of it personally and showed a very confident and pleasant manner. Such employees are worth their weight in gold these days when it comes to really driving a company forward! Actually worth 6 stars 😀. I highly recommend this restaurant - especially Mr. Nenkov. Someone who is always looking for suitable solutions and probably almost always finds them. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Waitress was very friendly, but NONE of the 8 people we visited the restaurant with had satisfactory food. It was mentioned several times that the steak was supposed to be medium rare, but in the end it was simply fried to death. Far too thin for such meat and as for the vegetables…not worth mentioning. It looked like soup vegetables. After we got the new meat, it was a little less cooked, but the quality of the meat is not good... just tough. There is a much better steakhouse in Siegen. Too bad! So we won't be coming back again.

My wife treated herself to a rump steak, which was perfectly prepared and very tasty. I ordered the chicken thigh which was supposed to be very crispy, unfortunately it wasn't and the two pieces were very small. Too bad, too bad. Big praise goes to the young waiter, he was super friendly and very attentive. From the service, perfect and very welcoming.

We sat just to try the traditional beer from Düsseldorf. The service let us sit just for drinks and we ended up ordering some ice cream because the place was really nice. The price for both beers and the ice cream was 14€, which is pretty nice for a place in the center. Also I really appreciated that some of the staff speak in English.

The food was really good and the quality was right. Also to be expected given the prices. The service could be improved a bit. Checking here and there to see if you would like any more drinks would be helpful. What really spoiled the mood, however, were the sanitary facilities. It stank and was very dirty and musty. It's understandable that the restaurant has to deal with a lot of "peeing guests" from the old town, but nothing is being done about it. At the prices quoted you can expect a decent toilet.

Big disappointment with the flavorless "ribeye mastercut 12 oz", just a bunch of condiments on the top but meat had no real flavor. I order "medium" and it was over cooked, and as well an spoiled steak that I had upset stomach next morning. "Best steak restaurant since 1968" propaganda is only to pull you in. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

If you want to eat delicious food, enjoy a great atmosphere and excellent service, I definitely recommend it! Our order was delivered in 11 minutes! And it's impressive! And I was even more impressed by the excellent taste and very tender meat♥️👌 We will definitely visit again!

The place is very classically decorated, giving off a true United States vibe. I'll share some photos so you can see what I mean more clearly. I'm not sure if it's an American brand, but it really reminds me of traditional American steakhouse restaurants. The tones are quite dark, and the place is somewhat dimly lit. Even though I usually don't like dimly lit places, this one didn't bother me.When we went, the place was nearly empty, with only 2-3 tables occupied. We were served by an Asian lady who was very polite, friendly, and helpful. Most importantly, she was very cheerful.My spouse and I ordered Mr. and Mrs. Rumpsteak, while the girls got hamburgers. The hamburgers were served open-faced, not as sandwiches. My spouse got a well-done steak, and I got a medium one. Although it was said to be sirloin, my steak was quite tough. My spouse's steak had a significant burnt smell. The girls enjoyed their hamburgers. My younger daughter, who usually doesn’t like to eat much, only ate half of her hamburger. I ended up eating the rest, but to be honest, it tasted pretty bland.The salad and the creamy baked potato that came with the meal were nice, though. Unless necessary, I wouldn't come back. However, remember this is just my experience. It might suit your taste better.

It's a restaurant I visit whenever I come to Dusseldorf. Every time I come, the food and service are very successful. The staff is very friendly and polite. I've never been disappointed here. I highly recommend it for those who love meat dishes. Its location is right in the center, so it's very convenient for a nice walk after dinner.

Meat wasn't good but ok, service was attentive and quick, prices rose sharply, unfortunately everywhere. After dinner we ate a pork roll because none of my work colleagues were full. For my part, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Bg disrespectful. Don't order the burger!!! Got a meatball with a side of a baguette. This has NOTHING to do with a burger anymore. The meat didn't taste like anything and the fries were soggy and not seasoned or salted.
