I really nice eating experience. Great food and incredible service from our waiter 'Rafay'. A really great guy who didn't make me feel awkward at all when I managed to accidentally knock a picture off the wall. He dealt with the situation with great humour.

Always happy...to be able to enjoy good food in the heart of the old town on the Rhine with a view of St. Lambertus is great...Thanks to the service of the employees...Update 8/2024 still thoroughly recommended - the promotion in August 2024 with mushrooms with the steak is great, the friendly professionalism in the service is an additional “moment of happiness” :-)

Waitress was very friendly, but NONE of the 8 people we visited the restaurant with had satisfactory food. It was mentioned several times that the steak was supposed to be medium rare, but in the end it was simply fried to death. Far too thin for such meat and as for the vegetables…not worth mentioning. It looked like soup vegetables. After we got the new meat, it was a little less cooked, but the quality of the meat is not good... just tough. There is a much better steakhouse in Siegen. Too bad! So we won't be coming back again.

My wife treated herself to a rump steak, which was perfectly prepared and very tasty. I ordered the chicken thigh which was supposed to be very crispy, unfortunately it wasn't and the two pieces were very small. Too bad, too bad. Big praise goes to the young waiter, he was super friendly and very attentive. From the service, perfect and very welcoming.

Great restaurant, despite being busy on a Saturday evening, fast, friendly service. The food was great and the portions were good. Mrs and Mr rump steak, 5*+.👍🏻

We sat just to try the traditional beer from Düsseldorf. The service let us sit just for drinks and we ended up ordering some ice cream because the place was really nice. The price for both beers and the ice cream was 14€, which is pretty nice for a place in the center. Also I really appreciated that some of the staff speak in English.

The food was really good and the quality was right. Also to be expected given the prices. The service could be improved a bit. Checking here and there to see if you would like any more drinks would be helpful. What really spoiled the mood, however, were the sanitary facilities. It stank and was very dirty and musty. It's understandable that the restaurant has to deal with a lot of "peeing guests" from the old town, but nothing is being done about it. At the prices quoted you can expect a decent toilet.

Super friendly service...no problem with changing the side dishes. Toilets need to be checked more often.

Big disappointment with the flavorless "ribeye mastercut 12 oz", just a bunch of condiments on the top but meat had no real flavor. I order "medium" and it was over cooked, and as well an spoiled steak that I had upset stomach next morning. "Best steak restaurant since 1968" propaganda is only to pull you in. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

If you want to eat delicious food, enjoy a great atmosphere and excellent service, I definitely recommend it! Our order was delivered in 11 minutes! And it's impressive! And I was even more impressed by the excellent taste and very tender meat♥️👌 We will definitely visit again!

It's a restaurant I visit whenever I come to Dusseldorf. Every time I come, the food and service are very successful. The staff is very friendly and polite. I've never been disappointed here. I highly recommend it for those who love meat dishes. Its location is right in the center, so it's very convenient for a nice walk after dinner.

The place is very classically decorated, giving off a true United States vibe. I'll share some photos so you can see what I mean more clearly. I'm not sure if it's an American brand, but it really reminds me of traditional American steakhouse restaurants. The tones are quite dark, and the place is somewhat dimly lit. Even though I usually don't like dimly lit places, this one didn't bother me.When we went, the place was nearly empty, with only 2-3 tables occupied. We were served by an Asian lady who was very polite, friendly, and helpful. Most importantly, she was very cheerful.My spouse and I ordered Mr. and Mrs. Rumpsteak, while the girls got hamburgers. The hamburgers were served open-faced, not as sandwiches. My spouse got a well-done steak, and I got a medium one. Although it was said to be sirloin, my steak was quite tough. My spouse's steak had a significant burnt smell. The girls enjoyed their hamburgers. My younger daughter, who usually doesn’t like to eat much, only ate half of her hamburger. I ended up eating the rest, but to be honest, it tasted pretty bland.The salad and the creamy baked potato that came with the meal were nice, though. Unless necessary, I wouldn't come back. However, remember this is just my experience. It might suit your taste better.

Block House – Always delicious Block House never disappoints. As always, the food there was absolutely delicious. The steaks are cooked to perfection and the side dishes are fresh and tasty. The service is friendly and attentive, making the visit a completely successful experience. For me, Block House is always a safe choice when it comes to a good meal. Always my pleasure!

At Block House, everything just fits. If you order steak, you get the really crisp salad first and then first-class meat, always cooked to perfection. No matter where, Block House reliably delivers top quality. The service is courteous and well trained. Others can learn a lot from this.

Meat wasn't good but ok, service was attentive and quick, prices rose sharply, unfortunately everywhere. After dinner we ate a pork roll because none of my work colleagues were full. For my part, I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Bg disrespectful. Don't order the burger!!! Got a meatball with a side of a baguette. This has NOTHING to do with a burger anymore. The meat didn't taste like anything and the fries were soggy and not seasoned or salted.

A good address for a delicious piece of meat... Service always tries hard, but sometimes the salad isn't exactly the freshest and the price/performance ratio is "borderline" - (yesterday I paid €32 for a small steak plate, Caesar salad and a small Coke)... already violent!

We wanted to go to a well-known restaurant during our Düsseldorf weekend. Unfortunately, it was one of the worst restaurants in terms of food. The food wasn't great and we were really disappointed.

I have no idea how so many good reviews came about. We were just there and were deceived by the good reviews. The food was more like that of a canteen. Carelessly put on the plate, really ugly. My New York cheeseburger was completely tasteless, without any sauce, and the cheese was a bit hard. The tomato ketchup that was served later didn't save it either. At least the patty was grilled well, but that's not rocket science. My side salad, which was already slightly brown in some places, arrived 2 minutes after I ordered, my wife's burger and salmon another 3 minutes later. That makes me very doubtful that the food was freshly prepared for us. At McDonalds it would have taken longer. The only highlight was the friendly service. 65€ thrown out the window. The next time you visit Düsseldorf we will definitely go somewhere else...

It doesn't happen often but I really loved the restaurant. We chose this restaurant by chance and were greeted very friendly and personable when we entered. The service was extremely attentive and the food was of extremely good quality. Side dishes were delivered free of charge and we will definitely come back.

Peaking outside is ok at best. Otherwise the food is average, but actually too expensive. The New York Cheeseburger is a bit of beef on a bread. That’s it! Wouldn't go again.

To say it straight away: we have been treated in every house in the Blockhaus chain the way we imagined we would be as guests. No ifs and buts. And we've actually had waitresses who we really enjoyed. In addition, the food and drinks were always impeccable. Otherwise we wouldn't go there again. But what Rafay provided today as a service really deserves the title outstanding! You can really tell how much he enjoys his job and even guests who were perhaps more difficult than us are no problem at all for him. Every problem is solved with a friendly smile and appropriate interaction. Many thanks to the rest of the team for the great visit. We'll definitely be back. Here's an extra service⭐️

Today we had a family gathering. There was a queue in front of the restaurant and it was raining. When they learned that our son is handicapped, they provided a special place for us inside. Great steaks, tender like butter, delicious on the tongue, with fresh salad with Italian brass. For the best steaks ever. We go to the block house every Sunday and have never been disappointed and the waitresses are always friendly and quick.

Reservation may be required. It is usually very crowded. The salad was particularly good, including the starter salad. Each portion is mixed in a bowl. Dietary restrictions are taken into account.

We really enjoyed this place! Meat was as expected, perfectly cooked and tender (sorry we had almost finished it when remember to take the picture, as well as the gratin potato). First picture its a tomato bruschetta, it said with spicy pesto sauce but I didn’t taste any. Last picture is jagger as serve, little more would be better!😃

Very nice experience at Block House, was looking for a very nice steak to have for dinner and found it here. The Tenderloin was very nice and juicy. Tomato soup was very good and tasty. Our server was amazing and the prices were nice too. Ordered some Jagermeister for drinks and the presentation was very good. Would definitely come back on another trip.

At the entrance, inflation takes on new heights. The beef medallions (2 pieces) were tiny and thinly sliced ​​and the gratin consisted of 2 layers of thin potato slices. Next to it are 2 quartered carrots and a little broccoli. 25 EUR is very sporty. The price of the dish is included on the children's menu. The tenderloin was fine, everything cooked to perfection. So the service was great, very nice conditions. The quality of the food was high as usual, but I was very disappointed with the portion size. I had the fillet medallions with potato gratin and oven vegetables for 25 euros, and there were 2 mini medallions, a spoonful of gratin and most of it was the vegetables. It reminded me more of a children's plate ☹️ I'm aware that everything has become more expensive to buy at the moment, but honestly? Then increase the price to 29 and make a portion so that you go home full.
