Swarg Indian Restaurant in Nürnberg

When Swarg opened, the service was abysmal. The servers couldn't clear the appetizer plates when the main course arrived. Drinks could only be ordered upon request. The food was delicious. We haven't been there in a long time. BUT NOW: The service: VERY GOOD!!! Very attentive...friendly, simply perfect. They keep checking to see if anything is missing. Simply great!! The food is still of the same quality as before...very tasty!! We'll definitely be coming back again.

Beautifully decorated, with very friendly and competent staff. The food was very good and tasty. It's also striking that it doesn't taste artificial at all; it doesn't leave an unpleasant aftertaste or burp, which is unfortunately often the case in restaurants. I was delighted with the food here. An additional plus was that the staff served the various courses at just the right pace and brought the main course to everyone at the table at the same time. I highly recommend this restaurant.

So I went out to eat with my girlfriend. First of all the service, ten out of ten, really polite people, then the food, the lentil soup, no, I had a meal for two, this second meal on the menu and the lentil soup was also ten out of ten, the best I have ever eaten, perhaps more delicate than anything else in the world, the fact that it is homemade with fresh dough is no fun, really. For these prices I would eat here ten times a week, because they offer too much value for money. I would recommend it to anyone who likes meat or soup or drinks, and the beer here is no fun, better than in any German beer cellar.

My wife and I had the shared meal of lamb and chicken. My wife and I felt really sick about half an hour after eating. We both had an unusually strong pressure in our upper abdomens after eating. (We often eat Indian food, including spicy food.) Furthermore, I had to burp uncomfortably. The positive review on Google surprised me. We shouldn't be alone in having that experience. We ordered our food on a Friday evening around 10 p.m. The restaurant closes at 11 p.m., so maybe that's why.... (We won't be going to this restaurant again)

The food here is so delicious! The staff so friendly. In warm weather you can sit outside. It’s good to make a reservation, if you decide spontaneously to eat here, chances are also good at getting a table with no waiting time.

The food is like Indian food in England, not as bland. My recommendation here: butter chicken. Also, be positive when sitting outside; beggars are asked not to bother guests.

We had the buffet, and it was lukewarm, the selection wasn't great... one dessert 😀 There are better places, sorry.

My favorite in Nuremberg for North Indian food!

We were a group of 7 people and had a reservation. But I don't think we couldn't find a seat even if we came unannounced. The food is good, Indian specific but be careful not to upset the taste buds of Europeans (I was hoping to eat more spicier). The service is prompt but without elegance (I even had the impression that they threw my menu and plate across the table😂). After we received the food, the waiters seemed to have disappeared and you had to look for them if you needed anything else! Quite expensive compared to the places in the area (with Italian or Greek specific).

Okay, I have no idea what lassi is supposed to taste like, but I liked it, and practically all the Indians around me were drinking it too. At least half the guests around me looked like Indians. "This is very promising for an Indian restaurant," I said to myself, and went for the buffet. As did everyone around me, it seemed; and there's probably a reason for that: first-class value for money. It's a shame I'm only here on vacation and can't have it more often. Update: And I'm on vacation again, and once again I was happy to eat here. However, I now have one tiny caveat: If you're over 1.40m tall, avoid the round tables, because you won't know what to do with your feet.

I ate here with three friends, and the wait wasn't that long. The food was very good and tasted really delicious. The butter chicken, onion rings, naaan, and the mango lassi were absolutely amazing. The staff was very friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I paid €31.50 for the aforementioned meal (I had the mango lassi twice), so overall, a really good place. I can highly recommend it.

I ate there twice and was disappointed both times. The food was poorly seasoned and carelessly prepared. There was a lot of saving on the sauce. The mix pakora was also bland and the sauces tasted very artificial. No recommendation.

They weren't that friendly and wanted you to free up a table as quickly as possible, even though there were a lot of seats available. The food was okay. For dessert I wanted a coffee with milk but I got a strong coffee. When I mentioned that it wasn't milk coffee, I was simply given milk. They could hardly speak German and the toilet was an imposition. I was disgusted and shocked by the toilet. Dirty and broken. Too bad for the place

The restaurant serves good Indian food. We ordered Veg Manchurian, naan, Kadai Paneer, and Mango Lassi—everything tasted nice and was well-prepared. The service was good and the staff were attentive. The ambience was also pleasant. Overall, a good experience.

Swarg is one of our favorite restaurants in Nuremberg; I have rarely eaten such good Indian food! The lunch buffet is also recommended, lots of choice at a low price. Friendly, courteous staff - a restaurant that you enjoy visiting and never leave unsatisfied! I can recommend it with a clear conscience!!!

We visited restaurant in Feb’25. Not recommended for buffet. The taste is not so good. I think owner has potato farm. He put potato is all curries such as panner, chicken and lamb. No bowl to take curry. Curry is very sweet and tasteless. Only one started (oily pokoda) in buffet lunch. Service person is very rude. He doesn’t entertain Indian people. Waste of money and time!

What a surprise! We decided to try the Buffet although there were no reviews about it. Everything was incredible! They had a 4 meter long buffet with chicken, lamb, rice, vegetables, breads, and sauces. It was so delicious and perfectly spicy. (Not spicy hot, but spicy flavourful). The ambiance is perfect, the staff is professional and the buffet was highly affordable. Very clean establishment. If you miss Indian food, and are looking for a breath of fresh air, get to their lunch buffet.

Clean and spacious restaurants with good service. The food here is not so general Indian here. Very good and interesting sauces with the crepes that tastes like home made. Can ask for really spicy level for the dish, and it will come out real deal spice (not standard German level). The amount of food can be more, but we are general happy about this dining experience.

I ordered a London Tikka Masala Chikken (spicy) and a Kheera Raita via Lieferando at 6:25 p.m. Neither of these are time-consuming dishes to prepare. The delivery time is advertised on Lieferando as 10-20 minutes. On the other hand, the restaurant receipt says 45-60 minutes and an estimated delivery time of 7:17 p.m. Ultimately the delivery didn't arrive until around 7:51 p.m. At this point the food was only 36 degrees. The quality was rather mediocre: the raita was too thin and the chikken masala, which was described as "spicy", was only slightly seasoned. Dear restaurant owners: almost an hour and a half from order to delivery is simply unacceptable for a lukewarm standard meal within the city. Please be honest and tell Lieferando honest delivery times (60-90 minutes) instead of fake times of 10-20 minutes. If I had known about this extreme delivery time, I would never have ordered from you. This is how you scare away customers.

The place is very nice, the staff is extremely sweet and the food was also good. I had karahi paneer and mango lassi which was very nice. I also had garlic naan but I didn’t like that too much because it didn’t feel like naan, it was more like bread. Apart from the naan everything was great.

As a south Indian, I was not satisfied with the Dosa served, too much fermented, and same goes the chutney. Not at all good. However, the north indian dishes were good along with their service and atmosphere. Please make the food standards even better.

Love almost everything about this place. The lamb biryani is served beautifully and the taste is also very good. I also tried Chicken Chat which was a new taste for me. Would recommend everyone. Friendly and professional service as well.

Highly Recommended. Great selection from different regions of India. Every dish is a delight. My recommendation is the Chole Battura, chickpeas with the round bread. Meat lovers can also have a really good vegetarian meal here without missing out on anything. Service is always very courteous and friendly. If you like spicy food, you can get it really spicy here and not German spicy.

Panipuri was served with mint sauce mixed with vinegar.. can't even b eaten. when I asked about and it where the Tamarind sauce waiter is talking as if I don't know what pani poori is .. also chicken lollipop was soo poor .. was so dry and was soo damn small.. waiter is telling that some chicken legs are small.. in restaurant if they can't even check the size and serve the right food then pathetic

A small oasis in the middle of the southern part of the city. Fine food, attentive service, nice decor. There is even a winter garden.

We split garlic naan bread, fried veggies with sauces, chicken curry, and chicken nilgiri. Each was delicious. We ordered flat water and jack&cola. The Jack&cola was very strong (good for $), and although they brought sparkling first they immediately replaced it upon notice. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable and we were sat right away. Highly recommend them.

Recently,we have visited this restaurant.. Ambience and vibe of the restaurant is good.. food presentation was good too.. but overall the taste,quantity, service was not that good.. we have ordered vegetarian food..for the main course we ordered Paneer karahi, daal makhani and garlic naan.. in all of the dishes, that typical indian taste( of spices and flavours ) was missing.. for example in daal there was no smoky flavour but just the taste of cream, in the garlic naan hardly a flavour of garlic was there.. so overall it was not a very good experience..

Very tasty food, good value for money

I ordered from Lieferando and my order was karahi paneer (served with rice) and vegetable naan...to be honest, the only thing I liked was the red onion with lemon and rice 😂. The naan was really bad. It was nice 2 days old and lasts very poorly. And for this order I waited more than 1 hour even though the distance between this restaurant and my apartment is only 400m..🥲. So if you want to eat delicious onions and rice 🍚 then I recommend this restaurant. Ps: I come from India so I have enough knowledge of what Indian cuisine is like.☺️

This is one of the far too common Indian restaurants where Indians are treated badly whereas at the same time the personnel behaves incredibly submissive towards Germans/Europeans/white people. It is incredibly sad that Indians have this tendency. I had a very small and simple order. I asked very politely and respectfully. But it was rejected with no explanation. The waiter interrupted any question and behaved extremely disrpectful. One could see in his eyes that he was thinking "damn, these Indians and their wishes..." the moment I just started my request. At the same time I saw the same waiter being emebarrassingly obedient and submissive towards a middle aged German woman, accpecting all her extra wishes regarding her order. He was almost physically bowing down. I decided to not order at all. And I would not absolutely not reccommend any Indian who has self-worth and self-dignity to eat at this place. I have never been treated that way in any German restaurant.

We spontaneously went to Swarg Restaurant for dinner last week because my best friend was enthusiastic about the restaurant. Since I'm currently fasting vegetarian, my friend and I naturally only focused on the vegetarian menu. I've never tasted such "bad" Indian food. I have a veg. Dish chosen "Malai Koftas" - Vegetable dumplings in cream sauce, filled with almonds and coconut. Exactly 2 vegetable dumplings with sauce without vegetables etc. were served simply carelessly. My friend also looked for a veg. Dish from: "Shai SabjiMixed vegetables with coconut, almonds in cream sauce". His vegetables came from the Aldi frozen section: green beans, peas, carrots, etc. I expected a little more for this price! In addition, the sauce tasted of nothing. We were really disappointed. that is We don't know what the meat dishes are like, but as a vegetarian you won't get your money's worth here! We will definitely not visit this restaurant again. Other than that, we have to say that the naan bread tasted very good, but that's about it. Service was quite lackluster! Ambience was ok. My friend almost didn't want to tip. Conclusion from the evening: bad mood!

We found this place by coincidence, and we couldn't have been happier. The staff was friendly and the food had good portions and great taste for a fair price.

This Indian restaurant is located right next to the Aufssetzplatz Ubahn metro station The restaurant has an amazing ambiance. The staff is very friendly,Polote and courteous. The food was very average to below average in taste. I went here with my friends and we ordered Tomato soup, Veg manchurian for appetizers which were ok. For dinner, we ordered butter paneer masala and paneer kdhai with roti and rice. The paneer dishes were very below average, with undercooked onions in the gravy. The food was reasonably priced.

Its a nice place, the food was very good. I had the panipuri, its a bit sweet apart from it everything is nice.

Waren zum Essen dort und ich muss sagen es war wirklich sehr gut, wie nach jeder Bestellung bisher bei Swarg. Die Gerichte waren super, das Naan knusprig und warm. Hatten bisher nur bestellt und noch nicht vor Ort gegessen. Leider gibt es aber auch ein paar Punkte, mit denen ich nicht so zufrieden war: Der Service war zwar sehr freundlich, aber ziemlich langsam und wir haben lange gewartet, auch als wir schon fertig waren kam niemand mehr, um sich zu erkundigen, wie es mit der Rechnung aussieht. Und leider war am Damenklo weder Seife, Papierhandtücher zum Hände abtrocknen noch Klopapier. Da wir aufgefordert wurden eine Google Rezension zu hinterlassen, muss ich ehrlich sagen, dass es leider für 5 Sterne nicht gereicht hat. Bei für mich etwas höheren Preisen finde ich die obigen Punkte sehr wichtig. Der Schnaps am Ende war nett. Vielleicht könnt ihr die angesprochenen Punkte ja noch umsetzen, denn eigentlich komme ich gerne.

Wir hatten ein leckeres Silvesterbuffet mit "mittlerer" Auswahl, dafür alles frisch, warm und lecker. Ebenso das Personal ist äußerst positiv zu erwähnen.
