Unprofessional and unacceptable On December 12th, 2022 we were at the Ganesha restaurant in Nuremberg. The lamb korma was way too sweet and not authentic. My wife, who is from India, pointed this out to the waiter, who then lectured us in a rude, forceful tone that the dish “must taste like this”. After my wife's honest two-star review, which she wrote on Google shortly after our visit, the restaurant has already tried to have it deleted twice. The first time 2 years ago in January 2023, now again after more than two years. The restaurant initially claimed that the review could not be assigned. We then sent Google the relevant evidence (bank statement of the card payment at the restaurant - I paid the bill - the original review was written by my wife). We have now received another email from Google that the review should be deleted at the restaurant's request. Such unprofessional behavior is hard to beat. It goes without saying that customer criticism should be treated respectfully.

Super tasty, very nice service. We ordered chai, didn't know there was milk in it and gave it back (lactose), wasn't charged. Mega super sweet.

Everything tastes just like home

I haven't eaten Indian food very often. But this is an absolute recommendation with a great ambience. Main courses don't seem like much at first glance. But it's super filling. Tip. Don't take a big starter

Very nice restaurant in the middle of the city. We were there with 22 people and were served quickly and very friendly. We sat at 2 tables and the food came table by table. Very well organized. The food was delicious, nice and spicy, but there were also mild dishes. A very successful evening! Thanks to the Ganesha team!

I was there with a friend 2 weeks ago, it was really great. The food was really delicious and the service was always there at the right time. Price-performance ratio definitely fits here. We will definitely go there more often.

Food and ambience very good. The only negative point is the service. On the one hand, we had to ask for cutlery and as two people we only received one napkin, and our naan bread was forgotten, so we had to ask again. Nevertheless, the staff is friendly and the food is very good.

Today we went to Ganesha in Nuremberg again after a long time and it was – as always – great! The food was excellent and authentic. We were particularly impressed by the very friendly and courteous service, which made the evening very pleasant. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't particularly impressed by the food either. The butter chicken tasted like pure tomato sauce and the Indian flavor was completely missing. Unfortunately, the Garlic Naam was relatively tasteless. The food was relatively expensive... However, the service and the ambience are very good.

The ambience is quite good, but when we were served we weren't asked how spicy we wanted it. As spicy eaters, we found the food very sweet. The food came very quickly.

Very tasty eaten for two. Unfortunately I can't say exactly what we had. Had different dishes. There is always the smell of curry and spices in the air. We really liked it. A reservation is certainly recommended. We were lucky and got a table for two.

The place has a nice ambiance, but the food was very disappointing. As a big fan of Indian cuisine, I was expecting much better. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t tasty at all. I’m genuinely surprised by the high ratings on Google reviews.

Some of the food was good. My chicken was spicy and delicious. The shrimp or the sauce was so low in salt and there were no salt shakers on the table that there was no question of taste. My food was stuck to the table and the stem of my wine glass was also sticky. We probably won't come again. Too bad

I came hoping for spicy food, but unfortunately it was normal!

Chicken in the tandoori was stale and old. Food got me sick. Also the food had no flavour at all. Worst of all though is the service. The waiter was very rude, offensive and unprofessional. He constantly kept asking why 2 of the people in our group looked indian but didn't speak Hindi. He kept ignoring them and pretended like they didn't exist. At one point he speaks to one of them in Hindi, their responses in German not being good for him and claims that they have to learn Hindi. He crossed the line and that was very disrespectful. Please train your staff better and be more aware of such behaviour from them.

I am brazilian and was having dinner with my two indian friends. Just one of them speaks Hindi and the other speak Malayalam. For some reason the waiter decided to only speak Hindi, even after knowing we couldn't communicate in that language, and started pretending that the only customer to be attended was the one that spoke Hindi. Idk why indians that don't speak Hindi receive such treatment, but I felt offended for being ignored. The food was mediocre, if not bad. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I’m from India, the food was mid compared to actual authentic Indian cuisine. I believe the one must try drink is the Mango lassi. Service was awful. Terrible even. Few of the waiters mocked us, throwing sarcastic remarks with bad attitude at simple questions. Overall it made us uncomfortable for the rest of the meal. However the ambiance was quite nice.

Today the four of us spontaneously visited Ganesha. We ordered Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Mango. Plus papadum, butter naan and namastee naan. The butter chicken was a little too sweet. Friends of mine had the Chicken Mango, which was really sweet and tasted primarily of mango. The Chicken Tikka Masala was very good, spicy and a bit spicy and definitely my recommendation from what I tried. Papadam, Butter Naan and Paneer Naan were good but nothing special. Unfortunately, the Namastee Naan was a bit bland and tasted mainly of potatoes. In addition, the strawberry lassi was very thin and was more reminiscent of strawberry milk. Too bad. To emphasize positive things: The portion size was reasonable. The service was very attentive and always kept an eye on the rice. This was immediately refilled at no extra charge. The ambience is typical of an Indian restaurant and charming in an overloaded way.

The food was good, rice is refilled free of charge upon request. The waitresses could have been a little friendlier, but the look comes across as authentic. As well as the ambience in general.

Unfortunately we are here two nights ago and got food poisoning. The two of us that had the lamb with spinach got sick but the two with chicken and no spinach did not. Servers were rude

The gravy size portion is very small for the price we are paying. It's in a small bowl for 19-20€ doesn't seem of great value. Food tastes good ( or just below good). Service is okay, place is clean. Overall Pretty expensive but not a great value.

The food is amazing and you must try Mango lassi in drink. Dal makhni and Dal tadka also amazing and delectable.

I was hungry for Indian food again and decided on the Ganesha Nuremberg because of the many good reviews on Google. Really an authentic Indian restaurant, only the taste has been partially adapted to the Europeans. The rest is as I know it from India. Very attentive service and great food! 😋

I don’t know if the curry should be sweet, but it was too sweet to me at the end. But it tastes good. Also, the workers were super nice and kind. However, they had specific aroma smell that I didn’t like.

The staff is familiar with gluten-free and they know it well. I have celiac disease and have been here many times and have never had any problems afterwards. And the food is also very tasty.

Delicious Indian cuisine meets friendly staff and the naan and various sauces are very tasty. It's worth trying the menu here. The restaurant is usually busy so it's worth making a reservation. Especially on weekends.

I am from India. Hence, my review for this restaurant is based on the authentic taste of Indian food. Food is ok, I will not say this is the best but maybe one of the good you can have in Nuremberg. Must try is "Mango lassi". Service is horrible. The waiter mocked us, making us very uncomfortable and difficult to understand and place order. He missed our order. Restaurant ambiance is good.

Ganesha es FÁCILMENTE el mejor restaurante indio en Nurnberg. Si te gustan los típicos indios de estilo inglés, entonces este es el lugar para ti. El restaurante es acogedor y el olor al entrar te arrastrará literalmente dentro. Pedimos un par de platos y llegaron calientes en 5 minutos. El personal también es muy amable. Y sí, venden Kingfisher.

The naan was delicious. Dal Makhani unfortunately inedible. The consistency is similar to a soup, the lentils are too hard and the taste is very bland. Unfortunately one of the worst Indian restaurants I have visited. Would advise against eating here and won't come again.

I come to collet my order but not reply worth it . The taste of the food is not so good. They grill chicken and put it in a sauce, which is not the way you make tikkamassala. Also, I ask for cutlery, which is confirmed they put it in but was not in. And atmosfeer not so great, so better try somewhere else.

We ate here and loved our evening. The staff is fantastic - friendly, diligent, and helpful. Between our group we had the Butter Chicken, Chicken Korma and Chicken Jalfrezi. All were excellent and flavorful with big pieces of chicken. Prices were reasonable at about €16-€18 euros per dish, including rice. The owner even gave us a free mango shot after our meal! We will return when back in Nürmberg!!

We came here for after dinner dessert and chai tea. The masala chai was delicious and so was the Gulab Jamun. The matka Kulfi ice cream was great as well.

Excellent Indian restaurant in the center of Nuremberg. The meal (butter chicken) was excellent, very tasty, the service was pleasant, smiling and extremely fast. Pigeons disturbed the outdoor environment, but that already belongs to terraces.

Best Chicken Korma I’ve ever had! The service, atmosphere and food were fantastic. As an added bonus, our server spoke perfect English, and was great with our kids. We immediately felt welcome, and were delighted at the affordability and short wait time.

Had a wonderful family lunch with family! Food is yummy and served with a smile. Garlic naan was one of the best iv had so far. Highly recommend!

We have been a second time here. The food here is very good and so is the service.

It has a good variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian Indian food. Food was delicious. Service was quick and the staff was polite.

A no go for Vegetarians. Utterly disappointed with the food and service. Ordered a Paneer curry, which was served with chicken pieces in the curry. When I complained about this, I did not even receive an apology. Very rude behavior by the staff till the end.

Super delicious Indian food. Based on a recommendation, we spontaneously reserved a table on Friday evening and were not disappointed. The service is attentive, the food is very tasty. You can't go wrong here. For anyone who likes Indian food or would like to try it, I can only recommend Ganesha! I had duck/mango and my husband had duck/butter really very good! 👍🏻 We will come again.
