Großartiges Essen mit indischem Geschmack

Mittagsgericht zu fairem Preis bekommen. Speisen werden schnell serviert und sind weder zu heiß noch übermäßig scharf gewürzt. Entgegen anderer Rezensionen war zur Mittagszeit nicht übermäßig viel los. Personal ist zuvorkommend. Toiletten sind sauber.

Super Restaurant! Das Personal war sehr höflich, trotz des Chaos das unsere kleine Stundentengruppe angerichtet hat und hat uns nicht zum bestellen wie es in anderen Restaurants gemacht wird gestresst. Wir wurden wie Könige oder gute Freunde behandelt, mit Decken gegen den Abendwind versorgt und es wude mit uns in Denglisch gescherzt, statt unserem sprachlichen hin und her zu kritisieren, was in Deutschland meiner Erfahrung nach eher selten ist. Das Essen war köstlich! Vor allem das Chicken Palak ist zu empfehlen. An vegetarischen Optionen mangelt es aber auch nicht. Zuletzt sind die Preise trotz dem Standort korrekt. Mit vier Teilbaren Gerichten und zwei Naanportionen sind meine Freunde und ich, Gertränke nicht einberechnet, für sechs Personen bei 15€ pro Person satt und glücklich nach Hause gegangen.

Das erste Mal und nicht das letzte mal

Ein Salat für knapp 14€ und dann die Knoblauch-Rolle vergessen finde ich hart. Die Vegetable Pakora waren auch nicht als Gemüse erkennbar. War vermutlich irgendwas mit Kichererbsen, was dann nochmal frittiert wurde? War enttäuscht. Geschmacklich ok.

Wir waren am Mittwochabend zu dritt im Restaurant. Die Gemischten Pakoras, die wir als Vorspeise bestellt hatten, das Lamm Palak, das ich als Hauptgericht bestellt habe, und das Garlic Naan waren alle sehr lecker. Die Mitarbeiter waren freundlich, aufmerksam und auch immer schnell. Insgesamt waren wir sehr zufrieden.

Pommes waren gut aber etwas salzig.. thali.. war alles solide 3 Sterne. Lamm hat etwas älter geschmeckt... Preise zu hoch für die Quali. werde nicht wieder hingehen.

Indisches Erlebnis – sehr zu empfehlen! Wir waren zu zweit an einem Samstagmittag spontan im Ganesha Restaurant Nürnberg und brauchten keine Reservierung, hatten sofort einen netten Tisch bekommen. Die Einrichtung hat uns sehr gut gefallen: schönes indisches Flair mit warmen Farben, stilvollen Dekorationen und einer gemütlichen, einladenden Atmosphäre. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Wir hatten 1x Ganesha Thali (Nr. 149) eine riesige, reichhaltige Platte mit Hähnchen, Lamm, Garnelen, Salat, Joghurt, Reis, frischem Naan und Nachtisch. Die Portion war sehr üppig und alles hat hervorragend geschmeckt. (Preis 29,80€) Und 1x das Jheenga Chili (Nr. 185) unsere absolute Top-Empfehlung! Die Garnelen in der süß-scharfen Sauce mit Paprika und Zwiebeln hatten die perfekte Schärfe und haben uns richtig gut geschmeckt. Die Portion war ebenfalls großzügig. (Preis 22,80€) Das Naan-Brot war frisch zubereitet, fluffig und leicht knusprig. Freundlicher Service, große Portionen und tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für die Innenstadt. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Ich habe bisher nur zum Liefern bestellt, aber das Essen war immer sehr lecker. Sehr gut gewürzt, heiß und frisch. Der Reis ist fluffig und ebenfalls gut gewürzt, nicht zu viel, nicht zu wenig. Gerne wieder!

Nach über zwei Wochen Geschäftsreise in Deutschland brauchten wir dringend etwas Würze für unseren Gaumen. Wir entschieden uns spontan für Ganesha, da die Online-Reservierung kinderleicht war und die Bestätigung innerhalb von Sekunden per E-Mail kam. Die Effizienz war einfach super! Wir bestellten unsere Lieblingsgerichte Chicken Biryani und Tandoori Chicken, die als Maßstab für den Geschmack des Restaurants dienten. Beide Gerichte enthielten reichlich Hähnchenfleisch. Das Tandoori Chicken, serviert auf einer heißen Platte, war perfekt mariniert und dennoch schön saftig, mit frischem Knoblauch überzogen … einfach himmlisch! Das Naan wurde mit der extra scharfen Currysoße serviert. Nicht zu vergessen das Mango Lassi – hervorragend, cremig und genau richtig süß. Insgesamt ein großes Lob für die authentische Küche. Wir sind froh, dass wir bei unserem ersten Versuch, in Nürnberg indische Küche zu probieren, gleich einen Volltreffer gelandet haben.

Wir waren zum Abendessen dort, das Knoblauch-Naan mit Chicken Tikka war köstlich. Es hat uns gut geschmeckt.

Ich kam gerade rein und wurde dreimal in der Schlange übergangen. Andere Leute, die nach mir kamen, wurden sogar ohne Reservierung vor mir platziert. Sie fragte nicht einmal nach einer Reservierung, sondern ignorierte mich einfach, bis ich etwas sagte. Daraufhin bin ich gegangen. Das ist völlig unverständlich. Es ist im Jahr 2026 inakzeptabel, Menschen unterschiedlich zu behandeln.

Die Preise sind Extrem. Ich frage mich ob es jemand bestellt?

Ein sehr gut besuchtes Restaurant mit authentischer indischer Küche – es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Guter Service, leckeres Essen und die zentrale Lage ermöglicht einen schönen Spaziergang durch die Umgebung.

Insgesamt war das Essen ganz gut. Bestellt und 5 Minuten später hatten wir schon unser Gericht. Ich klassisch Hähnchen Curry mit Reis und meine Freundin was vegetarisches. Es hat geschmeckt und war gut gewürzt, war aber insgesamt eher alles etwas lieblos. Viel Reis und eine kleine Pfanne mit vielleicht 5 kleinen Stückchen Hähnchenfleisch zu einem überteuerten Preis von 18€, dazu ein Glas Wein für über 6€. Das vegetarische Essen war auch nicht billiger und Der Service war auch nicht der beste. Am Anfang kommt sofort die Bedienung, aber sobald man aufgegessen hat, muss man irgendwann die Bedienung rufen. Keiner fragt, ob man noch etwas möchte?! Ich kenne es auch, dass es am Ende noch ein Schnäpschen gibt oder dieses bunte Zeug was nach Minze schmeckt. Es ist halt typisch Touristisch. Ich würde nicht nochmal hingehen

Essen kam schnell und war soweit in Ordnung. Die Linsensuppe war für uns etwas schwach gewürzt. Die Hauptgerichte war ebenfalls in Ordnung. Der Service war schnell und aufmerksam. Alles in allem waren wir zufrieden.

Und das mit echter Absolutheit.Ich war an Heiligabend inmitten der eisigen Kälte in der Menschenleeren Innenstadt unterwegs, und an diesem Abend hatte wirklich fast gar nichts offen.Durch Zufall entdeckte ich diesen Restaurant und entschied mich, mir eine Warme Mahlzeit zu gönnen. Sofort wurde ich von einem hilfsbereiten freundlichen Personl empfangen in einem sehr schönen Ambiente, mit extrem bequmen Sitzplätzen, reichlich Platz und einem sehr profisionellen Service. Man wird hier schnell bedient und das Essen kommt zügig an. Ich bestellte mir eine leckere Suppe mit Brot und es war unheimlich lecker, sehr frisch und köstlich. Die Atmosphäre ist außerdem extrem ruhig, entspannt und wirklich einladend. Das Personal spitze ! die Preise sind dafür wirklich angemssen und absolut fair!

Dieses Restaurant befindet sich in der Nürnberger Altstadt, gegenüber dem Nationalmuseum. Zur Mittagszeit war es gut besucht, aber ich habe sofort einen Platz bekommen. Der Service war freundlich und schnell. Das Essen kam relativ schnell und war lecker. Butter Chicken, Lammcurry und Chicken Biryani waren alle gut und schmackhaft. Ich hätte mir den Reis etwas längerkörniger gewünscht; er schmeckte zwar gut, war aber für indische Verhältnisse etwas zu klebrig. Das Essen war gut gewürzt und ausgewogen, ohne einen unangenehmen Nachgeschmack. 😁 Ich hatte außerdem Tandoori Chicken und verschiedene Brotsorten. Alles in allem sehr gut. Wenn ich wieder in der Gegend bin, werde ich dort wieder essen gehen.

We went to Ganesha in Nuremberg on a Wednesday evening for business. We had made a reservation but arrived about fifteen minutes early, which wasn't a problem. The staff were polite but reserved. The decor is very colorful and vibrant. There's always something new to discover in the decorations. The restaurant isn't particularly large, but it didn't feel crowded. I ordered a portion of chicken tikka masala and a garlic naan. Rice was served in a large bowl, which everyone could help themselves to. The dish itself was good, a bit milder and sweeter than I usually prefer. The naan was average. We all ordered very different dishes. Overall, everyone was relatively satisfied. The prices were typical for a restaurant in a fairly central location.

One of the best Indian restaurants I've ever been to. The food was absolutely delicious, and the impeccable service made the meal a truly wonderful experience. It's a shame we don't have such a great Indian restaurant in Osnabrück. Thanks for the lovely evening!

Beautiful visit with friends. I enjoyed the vegetarian Thali and Masala Chai. Very flavorful dishes so nicely presented. Despite our visit during the very busy time of the Christkindlesmarkt Markt the staff was super friendly and the service was swift. We enjoyed the atmosphere!

I went to Ganesha restaurant for lunch a few weeks ago. We had a chai, veg biriyani, tandoori paneer tikka, and a kulfi (the most expensive one). While the service and the vibe was great, unfortunately the food was extremely average. This is after having eaten in other indian restaurants in Germany which are similarly priced but offer food that's much more authentic and flavorful. I am unsure if they're toning the flavors down so people across backgrounds can consume the food. Specifically, (1) the biriyani tasted bland and without any of its primary flavors (clove, onion, ginger and garlic), and it just looked like it's supposed to look, (2) the chai was flat and muted -- couldn't taste any important flavors, (3) the sauce portion of the tandoori paneer tikka was definitely a small portion for the price (€20!!) and simultaneously wasn't very flavorful (I was expecting more ginger-garlic and roasted tomatoes and onions and the garam masala), (4) and finally the kulfi was a complete letdown -- it didn't taste like kulfi at all (creamy milk), just tasted completely bland; for €8 one would expect better quality.

We ordered jheenga palak, palak paneer and lamb karahi. Finished everything in no time. So delicious. The 4.8 star rating is well deserved. I loved the mango lassi as well.

We visited this restaurant while visiting Christmas Market in 2024. Positives: the service was very good, the waiter was kind and helpful. The ambience was ok. Negatives: the food was bad. The chicken tasted sour, rice was undercooked. Overall, we could not finish even 25% of the food combo we ordered. The waiter asked to provide us free drinks or desert as compensation but we did not avail it as we were late for our trains.

Went here twice for lunch during a shopping day and will definitely go back. A very diverse menu of all the classic Indian dishes incl a very tasty naan, tandoori variations, curries and not to forget mango lassi.

We ate there with our daughter today. Unfortunately, our daughter was brought food that we hadn't ordered. We returned it. After she had received her food and we had finished eating, a waiter came and asked if we wanted anything else. I said that my husband wasn't at his table at the moment but that he would probably like a coffee. A minute later, my husband came and the waiter wanted to bill us immediately so we could free up the table. I find that really strange. The table was cleared immediately after the meal, and we were supposed to pay straight away, even though we would have liked to have had something else to drink. Then we were told that the initially incorrectly brought food couldn't be removed from the system, and a few other items on the bill were edited/deleted. The bottom line... we even ended up paying more. And it somehow felt like we weren't welcome there, and we probably won't go there again, even though the food was really good.

What a great place for Indian food in Nuremberg. Everything was sooo flavorful and delicious. They also serve the dishes with tea lights under them to keep them warm and that was great. Please do give them a visit.

Friendly, attentive staff, food stays hot until the end, and drinks stay cold. It's not every day that the food sizzles when it arrives. In summary: everyone was full and had a delicious meal. Highly recommended, we'll be back.

Solid North Indian food by German standards.

The masala lassi was delicious and the servers were friendly, which I appreciated. However, I found the rest of the food disappointing for the price - the flavours didn’t meet my expectations. Also, during my visit, someone who seemed to be the owner was talking loudly with some guests table, which felt unprofessional and distracting in the dining area for the customers. Edit: The restaurant tried to remove my review at least 4 times since I have posted. So I am attaching a receipt of my visit for reference.

Absolutely fantastic. We sat outside here, and the street is very quiet, and the outdoor seating area is beautifully secluded by the plants. The staff is very helpful and friendly, and the service was very fast. We both had a very extensive vegetarian menu with a variety of dishes. My palate is still completely enchanted.

We ordered the prawns as an appetizer, which were excellent. The biryani was good, though the lamb and chicken were a bit chewy. The chicken korma, however, was very flavorful and well-prepared. That said, a few things could be improved. The cutlery was quite worn and scratched — it might be time to replace them. Additionally, one of the servers was wearing a black shirt that had noticeable white stains under the arms, likely from sweat, which gave an unprofessional impression. Attention to these small details would really elevate the overall dining experience.

We dropped in spontaneously, and the really friendly staff managed to get us a table. We recommend reserving a table. You can even do this online on the website. The food arrived quickly, and there's a selection of seasonal dishes. There's also a selection of lassi variations, such as strawberry lassi. The classic mango lassi is very impressive. Both the vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes are very tasty and, in keeping with the menu, not too spicy, and very nicely presented.

I ate here on a Tuesday. I found the food itself to be very tasty, and the portions were also generous. The service was friendly and fast. The only minor drawback is the outdoor area. Inside, Ganesha is lovingly decorated. Of course, it's impossible to mirror that on the outside, but it's still a bit of a shame :)

If you really want to eat something special, you shouldn't be afraid to go to Nuremberg. Should enjoy this Indian cuisine. I ate here for the first time 4 years ago and dreamed of this wonderful food - why, because it is good here. I've eaten Indian food many times and it was never as good as here. Dinner as a family left us all full and satisfied (with an 11 year old and a vegan daughter). The portions are just right and beautifully prepared, we were served and advised very nicely. It was too stuffy for us inside from the smell of incense sticks but that's a matter of taste and luckily the weather was good enough to eat outside :) The lentil soup as a starter is completely different than expected and that's exactly why it's wonderfully tasty, highly recommended!
