Very stylish decor and delicious food. The service was also very friendly. We'd be happy to come back.

The food was great, a bit overpriced for my standards. A €1-2 discount would have been nice, of course. 1 espresso was overlooked twice in the order; it can happen, but there's room for improvement. The restaurant, near the main train station and many hotels, was almost full in the evening, but there was no wait for a table. A bit noisy, but it was a pleasant experience.

The longer wait is worth it! The food tastes excellent and the portions are generous. It's best to share the appetizer...

I ordered Kadhai Chicken here, but it was a very disappointing experience. Before placing my order, I specifically asked the waiter to recommend a proper Indian-style curry, not a European adaptation. He suggested the Kadhai Chicken, and I also reminded him not to add too much cream, since I know many Indian restaurants in Europe tend to do that. Unfortunately, what I received was full of cream and looked more like a butter chicken than a Kadhai Chicken. It seems they don’t really know what authentic Kadhai Chicken is. I can understand adjusting spice levels for European tastes, but changing the entire flavour and cooking style is not authentic Indian food. As someone from India, I was genuinely hoping for a proper, traditional curry. In the UK, Indian restaurants manage to serve food close to the real thing sometimes even better so it’s definitely possible. My point is simple: if the dish is heavily adapted, it should be called “European style Kadhai Chicken,” not presented as authentic Indian food. Roti, naan, paratha, and dal tasted fine, but the curries were disappointing. It feels like customers here are not experiencing real Indian food, which is a shame. Very very disappointed with food. I really didn't expected like that at all .

Super delicious food, friendly and attentive service. Highly recommended. The portions are generous, and there's a really wide selection. It's almost hard to choose 😉. I had Dal Makhani, a very tasty vegetarian dish. It came with papadums, which were simply delicious 😋.

I don't even know where to begin. Sangam is simply a dream. Every time I eat here, I feel like I'm in heaven. The food is incredibly delicious – fresh, aromatic, and made with so much love that you'd love to come here every day. Curry, tender meat, or vegetarian dishes, everything tastes on a whole new level, cooked by hands with years of experience. Not only the food, but also the service is a highlight. The staff are so warm and attentive that you immediately feel at home. You can tell that hospitality is truly lived here. For me, this is clearly the best Indian restaurant in Bavaria. And the new royal ambiance after the recent renovation is simply amazing.

Nice decor, Ok portions, big selection…that’s about it. Waiter wasn’t very helpful. Asked for suggestions and he recommended the appetizer (Tandoori Vorspeisenteller - Tandoori Mix Platter) and main dish (Masala Hahnchen - Chicken Masala). Both are chicken plates with Masala sauce. Strange he recommended pretty much the same thing, but I took his recommendation. Tandoori Mix platter had VERY dry chicken. Informed the waiter TWICE, and he said that it’s grilled so it’s dry. I gave back the dish with 90% of the chicken untouched. Grilled doesn’t mean it should be dry! Main dish was ok, but the sauce was sweeter than normal Masala I’ve had. Received the bill and they still charged for the appetizer. Very disappointing! My favourite Indian restaurant in Nurnberg is still ‘Namaste Indisches Restaurant’. Trust me, it’s way better!

We had dinner on the 19th June and when eating a RAT ran through the Resturant. We asked the waiter and he said that customers didn’t like it !!!!!! Avoid at all costs.

The food is good, no doubt. But it's an unpleasant surprise at the end when it turns out that prices for the same food are much higher "because it's Sunday". It's not mentioned on the menu or by the staff, so no desire to return

First time at an Indian restaurant and it was excellent.

A very nice restaurant, reminiscent of the old Victorian era when Great Britain had a strong presence in India. The decor is dated but high quality and the atmosphere comfortable. The service was friendly and we didn't have to wait long. We enjoyed the food and drinks and found them authentic. We had the chicken tikka and the chicken with mango curry. The meal was very plentiful; we had what we didn't finish packed up and ate it today. The main courses are mid-priced. What cost around €12-16 before Corona is now €18-25, which is just how it is. We paid €19 and €21 for our dishes, respectively, but we got plenty of good food.

We sat outside and unfortunately were rarely visited by the waiter, and didn't really get a chance to order anything. The service was okay, if a bit reserved. The food tasted too European to me, less like the authentic Indian cuisine I was familiar with. I rate the soup as particularly bad. It's a tomato soup with an unbelievable amount of cream, so you can't taste the tomatoes at all, and Indian spices were completely missing. There were no housewarming gifts, as is common with many Indian restaurants - for example, papadum with chutneys for the entrée. For the prices quoted, I would have expected better service and quality overall. There was no bill at the end.

Very disappointing experience - poor hygiene I had dinner at this Indian restaurant with two friends. At first the food seemed good - it looked fresh and was very hot, as you could tell by the bubbling on the plate. But when I looked more closely at my dish, I was horrified to discover a live mealworm on the plate. Such a find is absolutely unacceptable and raises big questions about hygiene in the kitchen. We pointed this out to the staff, but the reaction was reserved and not very professional. Unfortunately, after this experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant.

Pleasant Indian atmosphere with friendly and fast service. The food came very quickly. The chutneys with the papadums seemed like simple ready-made products. The main course was tasty, but offered little variety of Indian flavors. The yogurt dip in the thali was more reminiscent of tzatziki. Overall, it's more of a Germanized interpretation of Indian cuisine.

There were four of us there. My husband can eat very spicy food. Unfortunately it wasn't spicy but with the red hot sauce it worked

We ate there with 10 people. Our dishes arrived at the same time and super quickly. Special requests were also addressed and responded to in a very friendly manner. Very tasty food. Good portions. At the end there was a chai tea on the house, which was our crowning glory. We sat directly under the particularly beautiful picture under the ceiling and it was a very good atmosphere. Gladly again. Hand soap was also replenished immediately upon request.

Unfortunately my lamb vindaloo tasted like canned tomatoes with chilies. Although it was seasoned by the kitchen, it tasted mediocre afterwards. The restaurant is nice to sit in and the service is good, but what's the point if the food is mediocre.

Busy Indian with supurb food. Table booked online as IWA was in town . As I've found travelling through Germany "hot" i.e. Vindaloo is not "English" hot.

Lamb Karahi is awesome! Garlic soup warms the stomach and is delicious. Highly recommended. Garlic Nam is also worth recommending.

The curry is very delicious. It goes well with garlic cakes. The soups are also good. It’s a great treat on a cold day. The drink is coco lassi, but it’s easy to fill up.

I thought the food was ok, but I wasn't happy with the service and ambience.

Nice atmosphere. Service unfriendly, slow and seems stressed. I had to order my beer twice and getting the bill took forever (40 minutes). When asked if I rated, I truthfully answered yes. Why did I give a bad rating? I wouldn't have said that at all, but yes, I would have rated it poorly. Why, the next question. Because we waited 40 minutes for the bill. That couldn't be true. I argue the opposite. A sorry would have been nice. I'm looking forward to the answer here and don't rush, take your time and think carefully. Addition from June 22, 2022: The company has filed a complaint with Google against this review: "In this review, however, it is not clear to the company being reviewed to what extent there is a necessary starting point." An employee watched me write the review, as my review also mentions. Addition from February 24, 2025: new attempt to file a complaint based on defamation. However, no evidence is presented for insult (§ 185 StGB), slander (§ 186 StGB) or slander (§ 187 StGB), as this is not the case here either.

Been to this restaurant earlier. We chose this restaurant since it's an Indian restaurant. The waiter's attitude towards us were arrogant. Also, he didn't explain the portion being served in one dish, which ended up wasting food.

Good Indian food. The menu has many and confusingly listed dishes. Service could be faster and friendlier. Ambience typical and appropriate.

Pistachio ice cream was delicious, mango cream was also good. Coconut lassi so-so. Rice ball doesn't taste good, the soup is spicy.

Good Indian food. It's unclear whether much of it is freshly made or not. The menu is gigantic. The thali with naan was fine, a bit greasy for my taste, but otherwise very good. A bit expensive, but the portions are large.

Solid food, but service with room for improvement The Sangam Indian Restaurant makes a chic visual impression - stylish furnishings and a pleasant ambience for a relaxed evening. What is positive is the quick order processing. As soon as you sat down, you were served in a friendly manner and the food came quickly. However, I found a certain charm missing in the service. A small gesture like a “have a nice day” or a personal farewell would have significantly improved the overall impression. The taste of the food was okay, but not outstanding. It was tasty, but I was missing that certain something extra that would make me come back immediately. Overall, a solid visit, but not necessarily a reason to become a repeat visitor. If you appreciate fast service and a nice ambience, you can try it out - but you shouldn't have high expectations of the service. Rating: 3 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐

Came back second time because of the good experience we had in 2024. Most people waiting tables are good, but some new people added to the service are very disappointing. Specific red flags 1. Impolite, Arrogant, air of Attitude 2. Lack of respect for customer. Refered to us as "Yaar" 3. Arguing to defend lack of communication while serving. Didn't expect this.

Unprofessional service, very disrespectful and disturbing "Waiters" while making unnecessary commentary that was not asked nor wanted. If we wanted a comedian we would have gone to a comedy show. We wanted food and that is the only thing we expect to be served. The food was fine, not a lot of things a person can say to it. Would appreciate that this type of behaviour is kept with professionalism. And delt adequately.

Nice restaurant- we tried both North and South Indian, both were fresh and tasty. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the takeout packaging was very poor, the curry had leaked out of the box.
