Street Food Festival in Düsseldorf

I didn't like it that much; it was just too crowded and too expensive for me. Both the drinks and the food!

We liked it even better than last year in Mönchengladbach

Düsseldorf Flingern, Schwanenhöfe. Total disappointment, prices far too high for tiny portions. The entrance fee is outrageous. Hygiene, but that's nothing new at So Streetfoods Festival, is nonexistent; it's and remains very disgusting in many places. Toilet problems: people urinate, etc., on the grounds, especially in the parking garage.

I've been to the Street Food Festival in Flingern for three days in a row, trying out everything on offer. I found most of the food to be good to very good. My personal highlights were the Hawaii Five B Burger and the Mr. Beef Hot Dog. The prices are consistently quite high, but the selection is also very extensive and quite unusual. With a bit of luck, you can get your €4 entry fee back in the form of a free soft drink via a lucky ticket. I only heard about the festival by chance via Antenne Düsseldorf, but I'll definitely go again next time. A very nice, relaxed atmosphere with a very pleasant crowd and a welcome change from the usual restaurants in the old town. I only gave the ambiance 4 stars because they could have made more of the rather cool location to create an even more chilled experience.

Great festival. Relax in a deckchair with a cocktail and delicious street food when the weather's good. With a DJ at Stahlwerk. Too bad it's only every first Thursday of the month.

This is really typical for Düsseldorf. They can't get enough of it. As if it wasn't enough to pay the overpriced prices at the stands, no, they also want entry.
