Steakhouse Maremma in Düsseldorf

Wow! What an incredibly good restaurant. Staff is friendly. Speaks German, English and Italian. Decor is beautiful. Incredibly beautiful paintings that are also for sale. Meat was fantastically cooked on a lava stone grill. Enjoyed it immensely. And for dessert we got an incredibly delicious limocello. Top! We will definitely come back here.

Very great restaurant. Service was great too. You get bread as a starter for every main course (you don't have that everywhere). It was really worth it for the steak. The atmosphere also fit the concept perfectly. Can only be recommended.

Good steak. Sauces all tasted bad and to top it all off the rude head waiter asked for a 10% tip amounting to €65. When we decided not to give him this tip he started insulting us. Ready to tip but do not oblige.

Very nice location in the heart of Düsseldorf. Despite the crowds in the center, there was still a table available for 6. Of the 6 dishes, the wiener schnitzel and the steak were substandard in quality and quantity. The pasta and spareribs were decent. The service took a long time and was not very friendly. The evening ended with a waiter who added €13.00 to the bill and said that they preferred not to have Dutch people in the shop because they tip so little. Apparently the staff here earn so little that they are forced to beg.

Far too high prices, food was cold and not tasty, also lukewarm beer. At the end they didn't want to give a receipt either. So big scam...

I had the sirloin steak, and both the cooking and taste were excellent. The potato + sour cream combination I ordered as a side dish was not good because the potatoes were not tasty. The staff was friendly and the food was served at an appropriate speed.

Ordered here a "premium beef" at 300 grams. At first sight it looked amazing, but once you got the taste, you directly taste and especially feel the bad quality in your mouth. Spoken to the manager and he tried to bribe us with dessert. DONT GO HERE!

Eten was erg weinig voor je geld! Bediening slecht, borden werden op tafel gesmeten. Personeel , een oude man die verplicht je om fooi te geven en werd enorm boos dat wij dit niet wouden doen, hier komen wij nooit meer!

Service was slecht, drinken moesten we 2x om vragen en het eten was vies. We hadden onze borden niet leeg en er werd gevraagd of we het mee wilde nemen. Toen we aangaven dat het vies was werd er niet op gereageerd en moesten we vervolgens weer lang wachten om af te rekenen. Te veel mensen, te weinig personeel. Geen aanrader.

La comida estaba bien, el servicio era muy malo. Pedimos bebidas que luego estuvieron en la barra durante media hora sin que ninguno de los camareros se molestara en traerlas a nuestra mesa, incluso después de que lo pedimos varias veces. En general, el servicio era simplemente malo en general. A la hora de pagar, decidí no dar propina, el tipo entonces actuaba insultado y no estaba nada interesado en escuchar por qué pensaba que el servicio estaba por debajo de la par, simplemente me dio la espalda. En una palabra, poco profesional.

Empty restaurant, we want to go in to eat with our two children, the waiter closes the door in our face, telling us that there is no more room in a very unpleasant way, we passed by several times in the evening the restaurant and there were always free tables… why lie? Suffice it to say that our children were not welcome, it would have been simpler. Clearly, if you have children, don't even try to go there.

We kregen een tafel toegewezen en de ober kwam de bestelling opnemen. Hij was zeer gehaast, want we hadden nog niet eens alle 4 onze drank besteld toen hij al wou verder lopen. Hij was kort en zeer onvriendelijk. Het eten was slecht. De ribbetjes waren zeer droog, de kippeborst was alles behalve vers. Niets van groeten op het bord, enkel harde frietjes en het vlees en daarnaast een kannetjes met saus. Als je een cola vraagt, krijg je een zeer groot glas van 0.50cl wat voor velen veel te groot is. Bij het betalen vroeg de ober om een fooi van 10%, wat in ons geval 12.70 euro was. Wij weigerden, omdat het eten slecht was en de bediening zeer onvriendelijk. De ober werd kwaad. Wij hebben het kasticket voor zijn neus kapotgescheurd en enkel het verschuldigde bedrag betaald. Bij de tafel naast ons gingen mensen weg omdat ze gedaan hadden. Er was een koppel dat daar wou gaan zitten en de ober duwde ze weg om er een bevriend koppel te laten plaatsnemen (want hij gaf ze een zoen en een knuffel, dus ik neem aan dat hij ze persoonlijk kende). De ober (een kleine ouders man) was zeer onvriendelijk, kwam zeer chaotisch en gejaagd over. Je kreeg bij hem het gevoel dat hij je zo vlug mogelijk weg wou om er anderen te laten zitten, zodat hij zoveel mogelijk fooien kon aanrekenen. Ons zien ze daar alleszins nooit meer!

We were assigned a table and the waiter came to take our order. He was in a very hurry, because all 4 of us had not even ordered our drinks when he wanted to continue walking. He was short and very unfriendly. The food was bad. The ribs were very dry, the chicken breast was anything but fresh. Nothing of vegetables on the plate, just hard fries and the meat and also a jug of sauce. If you ask for a coke, you get a very large glass of 0.50cl, which is much too big for many. When paying, the waiter asked for a 10% tip, which in our case was 12.70 euros. We refused because the food was bad and the service very unfriendly. The waiter got angry. We tore up the receipt in front of him and only paid the amount due. At the table next to us people left because they were done. There was a couple who wanted to sit there and the waiter pushed them away to let a friendly couple sit there (because he gave them a kiss and a hug, so I assume he knew them personally). The waiter (a small elderly man) was very unfriendly, seemed very chaotic and rushed. You got the feeling from him that he wanted you to leave as quickly as possible to leave others there, so that he could charge as many tips as possible. They will certainly never see us there again!

Very bad service, when we came in we were not given a menu and we had to ask for drinks after 15 minutes. No social contact with the service, you get your food and they don't say anything, same goes for drinks. Food was ok. Not worth repeating

The food is substandard, especially when you see the prices... you would expect the plate to be well filled and to come with garnish and sauce... nope, just a piece of meat and a potato... Rude service, too lazy to clear the dishes or place a plate properly. And finally, dare to ask for a 10% tip and get a bit angry if you don't get it!! What service should I tip you for!!! Treat your customers a little more friendly and don't see them as walking money bags, also ensure decent price quality and then maybe you deserve that 10% tip!! There are much better places in the area, stay away.

Waiter talks very loudly. In terms of price and quality, the food is nothing to write home about. According to the waiter, I gave too little tip, so he determined his own tip percentage. Skip this restaurant!!! Way too expensive for what you get! 1 older shouting waiter... annoyingly greedy man who determines his own tips when paying! You have to earn tips and that was certainly not the case there!! Certainly not a tour de force!!!!

If you're hungry you might want to go somewhere else. Although it was during Advent and a Friday evening, waiting over 1 hour and 45 minutes for the medium fillet steak is a no go for a steakhouse. I think it's outrageous if you change the side dish you get charged a flat rate, even if the side dishes are the same price. Food was good but not great either.

Food was not exactly high quality. Operation chaotic. Smack everything on the table. Prices are sky high and definitely not worth it. Cheapest bottle of wine was 39 euros, but it was gone... so I opted for the 45 euro bottle. They automatically add a 10% tip to the bill. If you think so, the waiter will walk away grumbling. I would look further.

Four of us had dinner in Maremma. The quality of the food was good. The portion size is very clear. The waiter assigned to us seemed annoyed right from the start and subtly irritated when we asked questions. We wanted to order the grill plate Speciale for 2 people for €69.99, which was written on a chalkboard on the wall as a recommendation. When we ordered, the waiter rudely told us that it wasn't available today. No further explanation. When my husband and I then said that we had to look at the menu again to see what we would now order as a replacement, the waiter rolled his eyes. Our 4 dishes also arrived extremely late. Another person at our table was brought a grilled plate instead of the chicken with mushrooms and fried potatoes. When there was a complaint, the discussion was in a rude tone until another waiter intervened and told us to keep the plate we had brought and a chicken fillet was brought after her. Of course, the bill also included the more expensive grilled plate instead of the chicken we ordered. There was another discussion here. So my husband just paid the bill like that. No further drink orders were asked during our stay. Furthermore, the prices are right Internet and on-site do not match. There are differences of up to €10 for some dishes.

A cozy restaurant with delicious food

Every time I come to Düsseldorf at least one meal is eaten at Maremma! Tasty foods! Their service is quick (sit down, order, eat and leave) but it's worth the visit!

Nice restaurant, portions not so big, the waiters are very busy and in a hurry but good atmosphere overall the dishes were good.

Steel scrubbers came out of the food. There was no apology and I took it and received no news. The bill was 72 euros and I paid 100 euros, but they left 20 euros and asked if it was okay as a service fee. I said no, and they only gave me an additional 5 euros. Haha, I asked for the receipt, but he threw it away and walked away. Are you crazy? There was a foreign substance in the food, but I don't understand why they are trying to charge more than 10% of the service fee when they pretended not to notice and only served the service as they should have.

Mediocre tourist restaurant. Slow service, little empathy. Food not special, scanty place settings. After ordering, staff no longer looks after the customer. Not worth repeating. Prices are what the Dutch love. But the well-known German place settings are a thing of the past. Quite a pleasant street.

There were six of us, and we all had different things. It was all lovely. The staff were friendly and appreciative of our efforts to speak German. We weren’t billed an additional 10% like some previous visitors have stated, and found prices matched the level of quality.

A good steakhouse, you can definitely go here. The steaks are very good, but there is no unique selling point. There are at least two other steakhouses on the same street that offer the same quality. The service was good and there is nothing to complain about here. The musicians who walked through the street and asked our table for money after playing music were a bit annoying. Here I expect a host to stop this. We found ourselves a little forced.

I will never recommend this place, I came with my girlfriend and we took the order quite quickly, but what happened after that was a horror, we waited for the food for 30 minutes, although the amount of work was not very much, then they brought us the bill even though we didn't ask for it and just wanted to sit, then the waiter told us that we should pay in cash because he was doing cash at the cash register and told us that there were problems with the cash register, the service is terrible, my friend ordered an espresso and waited 15 minutes for it on her birthday.

You're very good at steaks. The calamari was a bit dry and cool. The service is good and friendly.

Short and sweet. You can go there when everything else is closed. You can get much better for the price. Portion size not really appropriate. Unfortunately not enough for an adult to be full.

I had the ribs, very tough and overcooked. Bread and tomato salad were ok , Very expensive for what was delivered to the table and then without warning they charged a service charge on the bill. I will not be going back and would not recommend it based on the poor quality food.

The biggest scam of my life. €50 per head for a chicken fillet. Ridiculous. The treatment was disastrous. Don't fall into the trap like us. They tell you that the tip is not included and then ask for it when paying. Joke of bad taste - Disagreeable joke.

A real scam. €57 per head for little more than a children's menu and a bottle of wine. €25 required in tip (Trinkgeld) and, on top of that, they have the shame of asking you for more tip when charging you with the dataphone.

Today we were in Steakhouse Maremma and came across an unpleasant incident with a waiter who went beyond what was allowed, we were sitting in the company of friends, I was chatting with my friend, the waiter, not seeing my reaction to the menu presented, waved his hand with the menu in front of me my face and said "concentrate" and after such a moment I told him that I am not at your home, to which I received rudeness. Very tasty food, nice service, food prices are ok

The Steakhouse Maremma must be praised at this point. The steaks were a poem. The T-bone steak was cooked perfectly. If you value first-class meat quality and food, you should just come here. We are completely satisfied with the Maremma and will probably go there again in the near future. We cannot understand the negative reviews.

Essen: gemischtes Fleischteller (Lamm, Huhn, Rind, Wurst) war sehr gut. Service: uns wurde gleich ein Platz angeboten, Getränkeannahme sehr schnell, Rotwein musste selbst nachgeschenkt werden Wir haben schon mitbekommen, dass der Kellner die Nebentische gebeten hat, Bar zu Zahlen, anstatt mit der Karte. WARUM? Als wir auch gebeten wurden, bar zu zahlen, haben wir das abgelehnt und Kartenzahlung war dann kein Problem. Als wir bei einem Rechnungsbetrag von ca. 87€ dann nur ca. 2,.. € Trinkgeld gaben, wurden wir blöd vom Kellner angemacht, ob er uns nicht mehr Wert ist und dass der Penner vor der Türe mehr bekommt. Service somit eine absolute Frechheit.....

If you’re in DUS on biz and craving for meat,i would recommend stop sesrching for good steakhouse and quickly make a reservation here. Less touristic as it may be in Dusseldorf’s Altsdat, modern ambiance and (!!!) no all these smells typical for touristic restaurants. Food assistans are just out of this World. Selectionnof vines is also good,from Italy to Australia.Yummyyyyy!

My steak wasn't medium rare... Otherwise the food was fine. Got a Paltz right at the entrance. It was cold/drafty.

Please save your money in this “steak house”! Ate there with four people. Greek salad as a starter was tasty but very little for €10. But then we were so disappointed with the meat. One Irish steak and 3 fillet steaks. Except for one, all that were requested medium arrived, almost well done. Way too dry and pretty much lasts. I also cut the steaks in several places! The waiter then took the 3 objectionable steaks back into the kitchen and came out with all 3 OLD steaks. By saying that it was medium rare and we simply had no idea about steaks. We go out for steaks regularly! And have never eaten such poorly cooked steaks. A mistake can happen to anyone, no question about it, but giving us all the same pieces of meat again and assuming we had no idea about medium was really the last thing. The second time the complaint was made, at least one steak was fried NEW, which was even more cooked than before. Very embarrassing ! When we paid, we talked to the manager about what they were doing now and we didn't agree to pay for the two worst steaks. Have never experienced such an unfriendly manager. He didn't let anyone talk to him at all and assumed we had 6! Got new steaks and should pay the bill now. Really very disgraceful behavior. He doesn't seem to care at all about his guests because he seems to make a good living from the tourists. So, spend your money 2 streets away at the Blockhouse if you want a properly fried steak, the employees and the boss there at least value their guests. :)

Food and service were very good!

I live in Düsseldorf and have been visiting this place for 5 years down the line. The most delicious steak in Düsseldorf can be eaten here. I have visited some of the restaurants in Düsseldorf. Some have very expensive steaks but the taste cannot be compared to the ones you will eat here. My friends and I love this place very much. The food is very delicious, the service is on top. Here you will be treated with love and respect that you deserve. The waiters and the Managers are lovely and amazing humans. The Ambient is beautiful and very cozy. If you are looking for a place to go to eat in Düsseldorf, I would recommend you to try this one out. I can't get enough of it.

Very nice restaurant in the old town. The food (cheeseburger and rump steak) was very good. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We recommend.

Fantastic steak house. Honestly hard to fault it. Worth visiting if you're in the area.

We ate here for dinner with some friends, food is good i ordered a pasta dish to my liking. 4 stars. Perhaps well try the steak next time

An einem Sonntag nahmen wir an Tisch 1 am Fenster um 15:08 Platz. Der Kellner Robert war aufmerksam und flott, wahrscheinlich weil zu dieser Zeit nicht viel Betrieb in dem Lokal war. Wir hatten ein 200 Gramm Hüftsteak und ein 250 Gramm Entrecote. Beide Steaks waren auf den Punkt gegrillt, butterzart und sehr sehr lecker. Die Rechnung für die Steaks, Beilagen und Getränke über 71,20 Euro kam dann um 16:02. Die Preise nicht billig aber absolut angemessen. Hier kommen wir gerne wieder.
