Super cool fusion cuisine! There were three of us there and although there was a lot going on, we didn't have to wait long for our food. I've never had such a good chicken sub! We'll definitely be back.

Always very tasty. It's great that there are so many vegan, delicious dishes here. The Korean bowl with tofu is particularly delicious. It's a shame that many of the reviews don't understand that this restaurant is Asian Fusion and not an authentic restaurant.

It was great there, the owners are also top class and super nice :) it's a hotspot in Freiburg, I can recommend everyone to stop by <3

So overall the experience was bad. I ordered a spicy dish, but the spice definitely got lost in the trail. The food was so oily, America would come to invade it. Instead of noodles they just used normal spaghetti pasta. The waitress did not even clean our table and It took forever to get her attention to pay the bill. Additionally the prices are to high for such a poor quality.

Went there as a family with 3 children. Very cool shop with a great menu and great atmosphere. Very tasty Asian food, lots of vegetarian and vegan but also with meat and fish.

The food was delicious. The ambience is really cool and the restaurant is right in the city center. The waitress, however, the young lady with the piercings, was a disaster. She was extremely rude and disrespectful towards us. The order was taken half-heartedly and there were also stupid sayings. Such a work ethic is truly bad for business. It's a shame... so we won't be coming back.

My last evening in Freiburg ended at Spicetrails with Korean Bowl and turmeric tea. The service was very nice, the food came quickly and, above all, was really tasty. The chicken was very flavorful and tender, the kimchi was tasty and the rice was spot on. I would have liked sticky rice better, but that's personal preference. Overall great.

I ordered chicken with sweet and sour sauce, it was a very small portion and the chicken was very thin. Sitting inside is also very uncomfortable as you sit right next to the kitchen and are disturbed by the noises all the time. Overall, the food wasn't tasty, the portion was far too small and the atmosphere was anything but pleasant.

Spiecetrails has delivered again!! We've eaten there a few times already. The concept, the quality, the connection of the different Asian styles and regional influences. Strong. So at the beginning of the year I celebrated my birthday with you. We were about 25 people. The contact was uncomplicated beforehand, changes were no problem and my advance wishes for the menu were even more than fulfilled. The service was great, relaxed. Everything in view. Apero with the hot spicy fries. The subs for the children and our salads, starters, curries and dumplings. Dessert. Cracker. And everything on the table to share with each other. Good wine and a great selection of drinks. Also non-alcoholic. It's needed sometimes ;) There was also good music. Thank you for that and that there are people like you who not only have such ideas but also implement them and open a shop like this. Definitely an enrichment for me in Freiburg. The Google review finally had to come out.

Every dish was a culinary delight that convinced all three of us. The service was also top notch and the ambience completed the entire experience. I had Korean vegan bowl, it was alright but I wouldn’t say it was great. In terms of price I found it expensive. I think it could be better, the flavours where not according to the price and the hype they set. All in all it was a fine experience the girl who took my order was so sweet and accommodating.

I have rarely eaten something so delicious (tempura cauliflower and black dal). A little spicy was the ideal level of spiciness for me, who doesn't really tolerate spicy food well.

We saw the restaurant on Tiktok and had high expectations. The restaurant is nicely designed and the service is good. Unfortunately, we were disappointed with the food... we ordered a dish without coriander, but there was a lot of coriander on it. The salad was drenched in dressing and the Thai curry was far too runny. For this disappointment the visit was already expensive.

The store was fine. The service was definitely nice and on the ball. Was there for a little snack in the evening. Good location & pleasant atmosphere. Prices were definitely pretty decent for the little things I enjoyed there.

kleines, schmales Lokal( etwas dunkel) im Bermudadreieck. Bestellt wird vorne an der Theke im Self Service. Wir hatten ein Duo von zwei verschiedenen Curry zum probieren. Restaurant an sich war sauber, wir waren zur Mittagszeit da, es war halb gefüllt. Bedienung war freundlich. Nun zum Essen: geschmacklich kann ich den anderen Bewertungen hier nicht zu stimmen. es war jetzt nicht schlecht, aber es waren keine fünf Sterne. Ich war selbst viel in Asien unterwegs und kenne die Küche sehr gut.

Since the market hall didn't appeal to us due to the lack of seating, we came across your restaurant. The food tasted delicious and better than expected. The service also gets a straight A! We also found the ambience great and the music chosen to accompany it. The toilet area is also clean. We need a restaurant like this in the north!

I can't say anything about the service or the ambience since I ordered something. The food is really good and fresh, which is probably why it's a bit more expensive, but you might want to correct the "order" card. The homemade oil, which is offered surprisingly cheaply, does not contain 50ml (unfortunately ^^) - at most 20ml or less.

Very tasty, lots of fresh herbs, especially the fries are highly recommended. I just find it a bit annoying that you have to leave early because the table has to be available again

The fried chicken sub is highly recommended. Together with the fries it is a very tasty combination. I couldn't find any Asian beer (it would have fit the concept very well) but it's a great location for a quick, delicious meal in a cool atmosphere.

Weekend trip to Freiburg and you are looking for a good location for good cuisine. Spice trails were recommended and there. What can you say? The name definitely says it all here!! Set off and discover the world of spices! The name Spicetrails says nothing else. It's worth diving into the dishes and tasting the different flavors. The menu is clear and, thank God, not as overloaded as is often the case. Less is often more!! The wine recommendations were absolutely consistent with the dishes and were a real pleasure. The beer selection is also highly recommended and is a great alternative for non-wine drinkers. In addition, there is a highly attentive, courteous service that, in my opinion, served the guests excellently at all times. Last but not least, it should be noted that the majority of ingredients are used from local suppliers. For me, that's where sustainability begins, top!!! Thumbs up for this hot spot in Freiburg, absolutely recommended!!!!

Imagine you come to a restaurant and every time you see only females working there. At this restaurant it's like that just the other way around. It's a place that seem to employ only male for some reason. The world have more than 1 sex... Secondly, from day 1 this business chose to use a paying method that puts the customer in an awkward position at the payment part. Before being able to pay, they make you press buttons about the tip amount, even when you just buy take away! So rude and awkward... why would you do that to customers? And the cherry on the top - if you don't press anything and just place your card so the machin will charge the amount you supposed to pay - it will charge yip automatically!!! Crazy. Nice food, but guys, you gotta change some things there...

A really cozy restaurant with very friendly service. The food was also really good, but the prices were high for the quantity. I'm happy to pay almost €20 for a curry with really tasty fried aubergines, but the amount of curry can hardly be called a curry; I had to eat half of the rice almost dry. And it included maybe 7-8 pieces of other vegetables. I think that's a bit outrageous for a curry - no matter the price. It's a shame, because everything else was great!!

We had our wedding dinner there and absolutely loved it. The combination of spices and flavors here is something very special compared to the usual Asian restaurants that you are familiar with. But the service and communication were also great for such a large group. Our wishes were always taken into account. Highly recommended for vegans and we will be coming back soon as a couple.

Last night's expedition to Spice Trails was, in a word, bewildering. Our evening began with eager anticipation but quickly turned into a comedy of errors that not even a seasoned sitcom writer could have conjured up. For starters, our journey into the unknown began when we ordered their much-raved-about “Hot Bowl”. To our surprise, what arrived at our table was the “The Surprise Bowl”. Confused, we flagged down a server, who cheerfully informed us that the kitchen had decided to change our order without notice, as they had run out of chickpeas. Apparently, we were the chosen ones for their culinary experiment of the day - a surprise dish! If only we had a taste for adventure as strong as our taste for dal. But the plot thickens. In an attempt to stay hydrated (and slightly buzzed), we ordered a gin and tonic, expecting a refreshing sip of botanical bliss. Instead, what we got was a drink that looked like it had been garnished with the remnants of autumn - two dried lime leaves. Curiosity got the better of us, and upon inquiring about this peculiar choice, we were told, in the most nonchalant manner, that they were simply out of fresh garnishes and decided that old, dried lime leaves would suffice. It seems Spice Trails is not just a restaurant, but a time capsule for botanical relics. In summary, dining at Spice Trails felt like being in an episode of a culinary mystery show, where the mystery is what you’re actually going to get versus what you ordered. While the staff's improvisation skills are commendable, my palate is not as adventurous. This one-time gastronomic escapade into the unknown will be just that - a one-time affair. Farewell, Spice Trails, where the only spice you truly delivered was the spice of unpredictability.

We were unfortunately disappointed with our visit here. Overall, 2 out of 5 stars sounds like a reasonable rating. While the food wasn't inedible, it lacked the vibrancy and flavors we expect from South Asian cuisine. The menu itself felt like a confusing mix of influences, and the concept didn't quite come together.

DANGER! We ordered “surprise me” ONCE for €35 for me and my partner. According to the menu you can order this for 2 people or more and the price is €35 excluding per person. Note or other note. The end of the song was a bill of almost €80 for mini portions and one dessert. We felt cheated!

Damage 😊💯 Simply always good! No matter what day, whether lunch or evening, the taste and quality are always top. Nice, personal shop with a nice team. Recommendation, in addition to everything else, is the surprise menu with 3 courses. Price-performance is unbeatable, as each course consists of several samples and the menu is therefore very diverse. I recently ordered delivery and I was really happy with it too. Quality as usual and the food was still warm and hot 👌🏼 Just too much because I couldn't decide and the portions were generous 😁 I had some more the next day, which I wasn't sad about 😉 Conclusion: Always more than happy.

The food here is very tasty. The employees are very friendly. I would be happy to eat here again as soon as I come to Freiburg again. The kitchen fills the plates. If you are not very hungry, it is better to ask the waiter so that the portion is not too big for you.

Die Speisekarte ist eine wahre Gaumenfreude, mit abwechslungsreichen, superleckeren Gerichten, die nicht nur den Geschmackssinn, sondern auch die Sinne ansprechen. Die Liebe zur Qualität der Zutaten spiegelt sich deutlich wider. Die Auswahl an veganen Gerichten ist beeindruckend vielfältig und jedes einzelne Gericht ein geschmackliches Highlight. Ich möchte nicht übertreiben, aber vielleicht hat der vegane Kimchi Dog mein Leben verändert. Der Service ist stets überaus zuvorkommend und man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an herzlich willkommen. Die legere Stimmung im Deli trägt dazu bei, dass der Besuch zu einem entspannten und genussvollen Erlebnis wird. Der Inhaber zeichnet sich nicht nur durch seine außergewöhnliche Freundlichkeit aus, sondern auch durch eine spürbare Authentizität, die dem gesamten Ambiente eine besondere Note verleiht. Die Möglichkeit, per App to-go-Bestellungen aufzugeben, ist besonders an stressigen Tagen ein Segen.

Modernes, junges Konzept. Essen war geschmacklich sehr gut, gut spicy. Auch optisch schön angerichtet. Der Service war sehr freundlich, es wurde nachgefragt, ob alles okay ist. Allerdings war die Musik sehr laut. Es war schwierig, der Unterhaltung am Tisch zu folgen, weil man fast nichts verstand. Auf meine Bitte hin, die Lautstärke etwas abzusenken, meinte die nette Dame, sie versucht es hinzubekommen. Was dann nicht geschah. Auf meine nochmalige Bitte hin passierte leider wieder nichts. Das war ein Manko. Der Preis für das schmackhafte Essen war in Ordnung, die gute Qualität rechtfertigt einen angemessenen Betrag. Das Ambiente ist einfach, zwanglos, passt zum jungen Konzept.

Erschreckend gut! Anfangs dachte ich, was für ein Hipsterladen... aber dann kam mein gelbes Curry: Es war kochend heiß, super abgeschmeckt. Sie haben es geschafft, das knusprige Hähnchen in der Bowl so zu platzieren, dass ich bis zum letzten Löffel wirklich knuspriges Hähnchen hatte. Der Reis war fluffig – wirklich ein Lichtblick in Sachen gutes Essen, für das ich gerne bezahle, ohne am Ende zu denken, dass ich es zuhause besser hinbekommen hätte. Und am Ende gab es sogar noch einen kleinen gratis Nachschlag Curry. Bitte bleibt auf diesem Niveau!

Hab online bei Lieferando bestellt. Essen kam nach 55min an (angegebene Zeit war 40-70min) Das Essen war noch warm zum Teil sogar noch heiß. 🔥 Die Schärfe war super, essen hatte top Qualität und die Portion Größe ist für den Preis völlig fair. Das einzige Manko war das Knoblauch-Fladenbrot, da hätte ruhig mehr knobi dran kommen können. Ansonsten alles Top gehe gerne wieder dort essen. 👌

The food is great - I've had several vegetarian items on the menu. The "Asian fries" are always a hit with friends I bring along. Wide selection of bottled drinks. My one and only complaint is that because the prices are steep (fine, food is worth it), and you have to order yourself at the front (no table orders), I find it cheeky that the card machine suggests a 10 or 20% service tip up front... Before I've seen any service...

Wer asiatisch und gut essen möchte, der ist hier genau richtig. Das Überraschungsmenü ist phänomenal gut und preislich top. Verschiedene Gerichte aus verschiedenen Ländern, die alle hervorragend schmecken. Und die Getränke sind auch noch günstig.

Super leckeres Essen, eine Servicekraft die nicht auf den Mund gefallen ist. Leider riecht die Kleidung am nächsten Tag doch stark nach Küche.

Ich habe schon mehrfach hier (vegan) gegessen und das Essen ist unfassbar lecker! Es hat jedes Mal toll geschmeckt und die Mitarbeiter sind alle sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Es gibt sogar Mittagsangebote und als Student bekommt man auch Rabatt. Mittlerweile mein Lieblingslokal in Freiburg :)

War zum ersten Mal dort gewesen & sind um den "Block gelaufen" da alles voll gewesen war und hatten dann Glück das gerade was frei wurde. Ich hatte mir die indonesischen nuddeln bestellt, geschmacklich extrem gut und ich hab das essen dort wirklich genossen. Es blieben noch desserts übrig und man fragte uns ob wir diese verspeisen möchten. Was ich total herzlich fand. Service & Essen große Klasse, ich gehe da Mit Sicherheit öfter hin, sehe zu empfehlen 😊

Wir waren das erste mal hier, wollten schon viel eher her und bereuen die als einziges dass wir nicht früher hier waren. Das essen hat unglaublich gut geschmeckt, eine Geschmacksexplosion an frischen Zutaten . Preise waren sehr fair und der Chef eie sehr sympathische und sehr gastfreundliche Person! Das Ambiente ist anders und einzigartig :-) wir kommen defintiv wieder !!! Danke !

Eines der besten Essen die ich jemals gegessen habe, vor allem in vegan. Für Qualität und Menge absolut angemessene Preise. Bin absolut begeistert von diesem tollen neuen Restaurant!

Grandioses Essen! – alles ist aromatisch und irgendwie aufregend, ohne dass man mutig sein muss, sich durch die Karte zu probieren. Mit würzigen Saucen, Toppings etc. wird nicht gespart, viele Gerichte haben tolle Kontraste von Schärfe, Süße, Säure, ohne unharmonisch zu werden; alles ist auf sehr hohem Niveau abgeschmeckt. Guter, sehr legerer, schneller und freundlicher Service. Drinnen ist es manchmal ein bisschen laut für meinen Geschmack, aber da bin ich vielleicht auch überempfindlich.

Sehr schönes und modernes Lokal. Die Bedienung war super nett und hilfsbereit, trotz unseren extra Wünschen wurde uns immer alles mit Geduld und mit einem Lächeln gebracht. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Kann ich jedem empfehlen!

Sehr leckeres Essen in hoher Qualität. Preise sind eigentlich zu niedrig für die Speisen. Haben das Überraschungs-Menü zu zweit gegessen. Jeder Gang war delicious, etwas spicy und mit mega gesunden und frischen Zutaten. Der Nachtisch: Kokoseis mit Mango Sauce und Crumbles plus Schokomousse salted caramel and cookie Crumbles. Genial und große Portionen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Einfach sehr gutes, kreatives Essen und guter Service in netter, unkomplizierter Location. Tolle Geschmackserlebnisse, schön angerichtet, angemessene Portion. Besonders zu empfehlen die Pommes und hausgemachte scharfe Soße. Macht Spaß leidernschaftlichen Gastronomen bei der "Arbeit" zuzusehen.

Toller Service, super leckeres Essen. Der Besitzer hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen und uns genau erklärt wie die Gerichte zubereitet werden und wie das Konzept des Restaurants sich von anderen unterscheidet. Sehr beeindruckend, klare Weiterempfehlung.

Als Teil eines Junggesellenabschieds wollten wir im Spicetrails zu Mittag gegessen. Die Reservierung via Telefon lief problemlos und wir alle hatten genug Platz. Daher saßen 7 sehr hungrige und durstige Männer im Spicetrails. Bei der Durchsicht der Karte war die Bedienung sehr hilfreich und riet uns zum Beispiel, nichts mehr zum Surprise-Menü dazuzubestellen, weil es schon sehr umfangreich ist und es dann zu viel werden könnte. Ein sehr guter Rat wie sich später herausstellen sollte. Das Essen war wirklich ausgesprochen lecker und jeden Cent wert. Alle Gänge und besonders die Getränke wurden ausgesprochen zügig geliefert. Niemand saß lange auf dem Trockenen oder ohne Essen da. Wer zum ersten Mal da ist sollte auf jeden Fall das Surprise-Menü (ab 2 Personen) versuchen, weil man da verschiedene kleinere Portionen von vielen Gerichten erhält. Die Küche lässt sich auch keiner klassischen asiatischen Region zuordnen, sondern ist eher überregional anzusiedeln, mit vielen vegetarischen oder veganen Gerichten. Die Zutaten werden auch alle so lokal wie möglich beschafft und das Restaurant fertigt so viel wie möglich selbst, sogar das eigene Curry oder den eigenen Sambal, welcher sehr lecker ist und auch verkauft wird. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich dabei den veganen Tempura Blumenkohl und die Fritters & Slaw. Allgemein hatte ich beim Surprise-Menü nicht erwartet, wie viele Gerichte hier enthalten sind, da auf der Karte "nur" ein 3-Gang Menü erwähnt wird, aber wir sind alle sehr satt geworden und haben nichts nachbestellen müssen, auch die Gruppenmitglieder, die "normale" Gerichte gewählt hatten. Der Besitzer selbst hat unsere 7-köpfige Gruppe bedient, obwohl er selbst eigentlich Koch ist. Er tat dies jedoch so gut, dass es uns nicht aufgefallen wäre, hätte er es uns nicht gesagt. Er tat wirklich alles in seiner Macht stehende um uns als Kunden und Gäste zufrieden zu stellen und sollte definitiv weiter so bleiben wie er und sein Restaurant jetzt schon sind. Meine Gruppe und ich werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und können Spicetrails uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Sehr lecker. Das Überraschungsmenü war sehr gut und kann ich nur empfehlen! 3 in sich stimmige Gänge mit tollen und frischen Gerichten. Freundlicher Service. Wir kommen wieder.
