I went to eat today and both the pasta and the risotto were delicious! The decoration and the cozy and familiar atmosphere. The waitresses were very attentive and friendly :)

I became aware of the very tasteful restaurant through a very good friend (Christian). The Betitzer family is very nice, the restaurant is small but very nice. Food what can I say: for me it's the best pasta I've ever eaten .. I can only recommend every Freiburger, every tourist ❤️ to visit this restaurant and its owners 😉 Ps: who needs a vacation in Italy when there is something like that in Freiburg . We tried all the antipasti dishes. Fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff is quick, attentive and friendly. The prices are good and the boss is very nice! Gladly again...

We love the DOC! I don't like writing reviews, but I just stumbled across the DOC reviews and it left me speechless. "The dog", "kiss guests", "the small selection", "the prices".... I've never been to Tuscany so cheaply and quickly; I hopped on my bike in the Wiehre and had lunch at the DOC in 5 minutes. Perfectly crafted, delicious Italian home cooking, quick service and always really busy. In times of the Internet and rapidly rising costs, it's becoming less and less fun to be a restaurateur - you can't feel that here! Convinced passion and always a quick saying on the lips - we LOVE the DOC! And to everyone who bills online: Think about what you are doing with your reviews

Great Italian that even Freiburgers too often overlook. Fantastic lunch, small but fine selection and always friendly service. However, it gets very crowded very quickly after 12 noon - it's certainly not a bad idea to arrive early here.

Cozy restaurant with typical Italian flair. Small menu with selected dishes. Great daily specials at very fair prices. We'd love to come back.

Opening hours are unfortunately such that one can only come for lunch, often having to wait briefly for a table. Food: The place is famous for its good food quality and original Italian cuisine. From what we tried, the risotto was really tasty and delicious. In contrast, the Caprese salad with buffalo mozzarella was just too much drenched in flavorless olive oil. Service: Customers are sorted and served differently depending on their status. Familiar people are invited from the queue earlier. Even if seated at the same time, some are served immediately and receive their dishes, while others have to wait a long time just to place an order.

Once upon a time, THE address for a delicious Italian break in the old town. The quality of the food has changed since I started the d.o.c. in 2005. I know, nothing changed either. But probably because of the price-performance ratio. Since then, my income has increased by around 20% – in line with the German average. The reference risotto now costs almost twice as much: instead of €6.50, it now costs €12.50. This may not bother the bussi-bussi public, but the average consumer will if a lunch break for two instead of €25 is now €40 or more. And that for two portions of rice with cheese and drinks.

Lieblingsmittagstisch! Es ist immer wieder schön hier zu essen. Das Essen wird in familiären Ambiente serviert und schmeckt immer lecker. Weil es so gut ist, muss man zu Mittagszeit manchmal etwas auf einen Platz warten, aber dafür schmeckt es dann um so besser.

Im Sommer draußen sitzen, leckere Antipasti oder Pasta genießen, dazu ein Glas Wein, vorbei flanierende Menschen beobachten: herrlich. Tolle Küche, kleine aber feine Karte, stetig wechselnde Tagesgerichte, angenehmes Publikum. Das ist Italien pur mitten in Freiburg!

It's a very popular restaurant in town. I didn't know its style before I came. My friend invited me here because I said I want to eat delicious pasta in Freiburg. And the highest review score is here. The atmosphere and restaurant space are comfortable. However the food to me is relatively normal and with few choices. Maybe I expect too much. However , I am especially impressed by the answer when I asked about other flavours of pasta. The answer is, their kitchen is small so they only offer two Daily pasta. (One vegi ,the other with meat) Obviously the limit is not only kitchen size but also something else, because the restaurant only opens at noon for three hours and with no possibility of reservation. I still recommend this small osteria to those who ask for a quick and casual lunch. Meal served quickly (at least the two pasta and antipasti), table cleaned quickly that our plates and forks were also cleaned before our shared salad was finished.

Kleines und feines Restaurant, welches man empfehlen kann. Sehr unkompliziert und lecker! Zum Mittag einfach vorbeikommen. Eine Reservierung ist nicht notwendig, die Wartezeit hält sich in Grenzen. Gerne wieder.

Si tienes ocasión de visitar Freiburg,no olvides pasarte por d.o.c. Un espectacular restaurante italiano con comida casera. Calidad precio fantástico,ambiente acogedor y sitio muy bonito. Altamente recomendable si quieres disfrutar de la gastronomía italiana. A destacar,a parte de la comida, sería el servicio. Muy profesional, simpático y agradable. El Sr Tobias y la Sra Babet muy amables al igual que todos los empleados. Mención especial para Margaux, solo pasea pero es una perra que ofrece ternura y simpatía en el lugar. En resumen, para disfrutar de la ciudad de Freiburg al 100%, no debes olvidar pasarte por el d.o.c. y disfrutar de una comida italiana casera y rica. Hoy he vuelto a ir y sin duda fue fantástico. Un servicio de diez, amables, atentos y profesionales. Ambiente increíble y comida espectacular.Un diez 👏👏👏👍

Service super, leider war die Tagespasta nur mittelmäßig und sehr teuer

super für eine Mittagspause bei der man sich für ein paar Momente wie in Italien fühlen kann! Eine täglich wechselnde kleine Karte mit wirklich frisch zubereiteten Gerichten. Einfach der Wahnsinn!

Begrenztes Angebot von Speisen. Aber das ist vollkommen ok. Denn die wechselnden Tagesgerichte sind der Hammer. Geschmacklich sensationell gut! Sehr, sehr gut besuchtes Ristorante. Um einen Platz zu bekommen, kann es durchaus vorkommen, dass man sich etwas gedulden muss. Aber es lohnt sich 👍

Ein tolles kleines Restaurant im Herzen von Freiburg. Keine Reservierung möglich, also entweder früh kommen oder warten bis ein Platz frei ist. Nach dem Warten (bei uns 20 Minuten) wird man entschädigt mit tollem italienischen Essen. Spezialität Risotto für kleines Geld. Unbedingt zu empfehlen.

Italienisches Ambiente inmitten von Freiburg. Essen und Bedienung haben die fünf Sterne mehr als verdient.

War heute zum Mittag dort. Sehr lecker & freundliche Menschen die das Restaurant betreiben bzw. dort arbeiten.

Perfekt für den Mittagstisch, zwei Gerichte zur Auswahl, ich hatte Pasta mit italienischer Wurst. Das Essen kommt schnell, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Da viellos war konnten wir nur drinnen sitzen, was aber dank der Stilvollen Einrichtung auch gar kein Problem war.

Restaurant bonic i cuidat, amb bon ambient, cuina a la vista i una pasta estupenda al centre de Freiburg. Ofereixen la pasta del dia (també opció vegetariana), diversos rissotos i antipastas. Bona atenció i bon ritme a l'hora d'atendre i servir. Un bon lloc per dinar bé i ser ben atès.

Sehr guter Italiener. Kleine Speisekarte, aber sehr gut. Sehr freundliches Personal. Für eine kleine Auszeit sehr zu empfehlen.

Es ist schön, wenn man draussen sitzen kann. Das Essen fand ich viel zu teuer, besonders der Antipasti Teller.
