We discovered this beautiful restaurant by chance on our way to Sankt Peter Ording. In this appealing atmosphere we were welcomed and served in an extremely friendly manner. For fish lovers, the plaice fillet, for example, is highly recommended! The homemade tomato soup was also simply delicious. The price-performance ratio is absolutely appropriate. We will certainly be happy to stop there again the next time we travel through.

We have been coming for years whenever we spend a holiday weekend in Cuxhaven. And it was great again this time! The Seute Deern is always worth a visit!

The fish was ok, the fried potatoes were crispy, unfortunately very salty. The schnitzel was more fried than fried. There is no offer for vegetarians, unfortunately a review on TripAdvisor was incorrect. Upon request, something was put together, which unfortunately initially came with bacon. The service was very friendly, but the food did not meet our expectations and the price.

There were eight of us there, three of us forgot our food and only arrived when the others had finished eating. There was no real excuse for it. The fish was very good and we could sit outside. Overall, we won't be coming back.

Super nice staff, very good food. The ambience is also good. Unassuming from the outside, but don't be fooled. Worth every euro. Adult portions were also prepared as children's portions without any problems by the kitchen and of the same quality (in our case, tagliatelle with shrimps without herbs). We'd love to come back!

The main course was served as a starter for the children. But only for the children. However, the side dishes as described in the menu were also missing. Our starter consisted of two shrimp cocktails, which for the small quantity did not correspond to the price. The staff walked past the already overcrowded table several times without clearing the appetizer plates. This caused major problems for the staff at that moment because there was now no room for our main course on the table. When I asked to pay we were asked if everything was OK. Here's the short version: Steak with a fatty edge and not medium. Not a steak knife. Schnitzel for the children frozen and fried. Pork fillet with fries requested. We got pork fillet with potatoes. We expressed our payment request again after about 15 minutes. The staff is very inattentive due to today's times Oh yes, drinks containing milk such as cappuccino or similar could not be ordered because the machine was probably broken. Conclusion; Unfortunately, absolutely no recommendation.

Mediocre food for a fairly high price

Food was okay, fish was basically fried a little too long, the fried potatoes were very greasy, not enough salt. The portions are very large, if you're looking for that you'll be satisfied, but the taste is so-so. We sat outside, yes, what can I say, sweeping and cleaning the tables would also be an idea. Overall a three with deductions, you can do it, but you don't really have to.

We went there with the family for dinner. The restaurant is nicely decorated with all sorts of seafaring finds. The service was very friendly, attentive and child-friendly. We had several fish dishes and were all very satisfied. The fresh fish tasted very good. The prices are not cheap for fish dishes but they are okay. We'd love to come back.

Sensationally prepared fish, super delicious wine, delicious children's fish, fries, salad, vegetables, all top side dishes. A special highlight is the Dijon mustard sauce. Very nice and authentic.

I was there with a friend before the DEICHBRAND Festival. We both wanted to eat fish and found Seute Seern on the way. The menu is selected, but there are some fish dishes! We had the fish soup and the crab cocktail as starters. As a main course, the plaice Müllerin style and the pollock with crab scrambled eggs, both were fried to perfection 😋🤤, gladly again!

Fish soup and plaice are fantastic! The beer -Barre Pilsener- very drinkable. Furnishings are contemporary without the junk of days gone by, bright and friendly. Nordic warm welcome, The care during the evening was attentive but not intrusive. I'm looking forward to a second visit here to sample the menu.

We haven't eaten here for a while because we didn't like the overall impression. But things have gotten really good now. We were served very attentively. Right away, all the meals, including special requests, were delivered correctly, which is sometimes a challenge with 16 meals. I can absolutely recommend eating here.

We called late in the afternoon at short notice to reserve a table for 4 people with a dog for the evening. Wasn't a problem at all. We had a very good dinner, the staff was super friendly and attentive. The fish was incredibly fresh and deliciously prepared. We had schnitzel Cuxhaven, tagliatelle with prawns, redfish fillet and fish platter for 1 person. We will definitely come back to eat again on our next vacation.

A great restaurant with an extensive menu. Very attentive service and the food was great. Before we arrived, we found out about the interesting places in Cuxhaven. We weren't disappointed. Small side note...a couple with a dog arrived during our stay. The cautious question was whether the dog was allowed in. Yes, sure. And! The service worker immediately brought a bowl of water for the animal. As a non-pet owner, I thought this was a great gesture. The owners too.

If you really want to experience gastronomy at a high level, then this house is highly recommended. Professionals REALLY of the old breed. Quality in terms of customer approach and also in the quality of the food is really in the 100% range. We would like to come again!

The dish of the day, tagliatelle in cheese cream sauce with salmon, was simply indescribably delicious. The Büsumer-style plaice that my partner had was also very tasty. A very good restaurant would even say upscale but every guest is welcome and is well served!!! Prices are a bit higher but it's appropriate for what you get and what you get with your meal. Service is very friendly and there is also a menu for children.

On the way to Heligoland we made an overnight stop in Cuxhaven. And we were given a warm welcome at Seute Deern and very friendly and competent service. The food was excellent and wishes were also fulfilled. Cuxhaven is far away for us, but as soon as we head back to the far north we will definitely come back here.

Hello everyone, My wife wanted to surprise me with an extraordinary menu on my last evening in Cuxhaven. Of course, she "configured" this the evening before without me with the host, who is very friendly and communicative. I have to say, the innkeeper and his wife went to great lengths. I was absolutely very pleasantly surprised by the menu. The fish, the starters and the side dishes including the dessert were extremely fresh and very tasty (hats off). The composition was excellent, as was the look (as we all know, the eye is important). We will remember this evening forever, not least because of the very good menu and the homely atmosphere. Many thanks also to the very friendly service team, who were very attentive and quick. We would like to come again.

Had a schnitzel with chanterelles, the sauce was a run of the mill sauce from the supermarket, the schnitzel was burnt and not at all tasty. In addition, the chanterelles were not washed properly and you were constantly grinding your teeth. When we brought this up, the service was extremely rude and unreasonable. Unfortunately we hoped for more than that on vacation, which is a shame.

My wife called at Christmas and ordered a table for New Year's Eve for 2 1/2 people. "yes, ok, from 6 p.m., but on New Year's Eve we only have a menu." “OK,” her answer. We were there on Silverster from 6:00 p.m. The waiter handed us two sheets for the menu (soup, main course and dessert, without salad) together with a drinks menu: fish or meat, it doesn't matter, both 68.50 euros for the menu! We looked at it and had to swallow deeply for the first time. Thank God I was allowed to order a schnitzel with fries for my son upon request, outside of this "announcement"! We sat at a table next to the kitchen counter and while waiting we could see what was being served all la carte from the kitchen. The evening's menu really wasn't a big hit. we have “endured” everything. Personally, I wasn't a fan of the menu. In the end we paid almost 165 EUR for 2.5 people (including drinks, which of course came extra) for this evening. Unfortunately, I was completely blocked from giving the waiter a tip. (sorry, but the price shock, but otherwise not my style) But my pain threshold was very much exceeded! I mean that the boss already on December 31st. The 19% VAT, from January 1st, 2024, has been priced into the catering industry and has given itself a warm holiday cushion. I'm very sorry, but we cannot and do not want to recommend this location! We feel "ripped off" and will certainly not try again, even though we have had relatively normal service there in the past (on normal days). Personally, it's the modern way of "rip-off". I don't want to say anything more here.

meine frau hatte zu weihnchten angerufen und einen tisch für silvester für 2 1/2 personen bestellt. ja, ok, ab 18:00 uhr, aber silvester gibt es bei uns nur "menü". OK, ihr antwort. wir waren silverster ab 18:00 uhr vor ort. der kellner reichte uns zwei blätter für Menü (suppe, hauptgericht und nachspeise) zusammen mit einer getränkekarte: fisch oder fleisch, egal, beides 68,50 eur für das menü. wir haben es uns angesehen und mussten das erste mal tief schlucken. gott sei dank durfte ich für mein sohn ein schnitzel mit pommes bestellen, außerhab dieser "ansage"! wir saßen einen tisch neben der küchenausgabe und konnten beim warten erkennen, was so alles aus der küche all la carte serviert wurde. das menü des abends war nun wirklich nicht der "renner". wir haben alles über uns "ergehen lassen". ich persönlich war nun nicht der fan der menü's. schlußdendlich haben wir für 2,5 personen fast 165 EUR ( mit getränke, die selbstverständlich extra kamen) für diesen abend bezahlt. leider war ich völlig blockiert den Kellner noch ein trinkkgeld zug geben. (sorry, aber der preisschock) aber meine schmerzgrenze war sehr überschritten! ich meine, dass der chef schon am 31.12. die 19 % Ust, ab 01.01.2024 in der gastronomie eingepreist hat und sich ein warmes urlaubspolster verschafft hat. es tut mir sehr leid, aber wir kömnnen und wollen diese lokaliät mit ausdruck nicht empfehlen! wir fühlen uns "abgezockt" und werden gewiss keinen weiteren versuch unternehmen, obwohl wir in der vergangenheit (an nomalen tagen) dort relativ normal bedient wurden. persönlich ist es die moderne art der "abzocke". mehr möchte ich hier nicht kund tun.

Wir waren mit 4 Personen zum Essen im Restaurant. Die Preise für Fisch sind im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants in Cuxhaven schon sehr hoch. Und ich weiß was frischer Fisch kostet. Man bekommt in Cuxhaven identische Gerichte in sehr vielen tollen Restaurants günstiger. Einfach mal Richtung Hafen gehen.... Aus dem Grund hatten wir das Schnitzel bestellt. 2 verschiedene Varianten haben wir ausgesucht. Alle Schnitzel waren dunkel und schon sehr hart. Das passiert wenn Tiefkühl Schnitzel zu lange frittiert werden oder zu lange in der Pfanne sind. Das Essen war ok, aber für 19€ kann man doch frisch gemachte Schnitzel erwarten.

Wer gerne leckeren Fisch mag, ist hier genau richtig. Abgerundet wird das ganze mit echt nettem Personal und schönem Ambiente.

Das Essen war für den Preis in Ordnung, die Bratkartoffeln etwas zu dunkel und zu fett, aber das ist sicher Geschmackssache. Was aber unserer Meinung überhaupt nicht geht ist die Musik. Das war die Playlist "das Schlechteste der 70er und 80er Jahre" , Rex Gildo, Dschingis Khan usw. . Gäste am Nachbartisch haben sich auch darüber lustig gemacht. Würden da mal eine anonyme Umfrage unter den Gästen empfehlen.

Das Essen war sehr teuer. Ich hatte Fisch, der mir zu wenig durchgebraten war. Der Fisch war noch sehr glasig... Vom Geschmack war es in Ordnung.

Wir können dieses Lokal überhaupt nicht empfehlen.Das Schollenfilet Büsümer Art war total ölig,matschig,und versalzen, normal hätte man es zurück geben müssen.Ausserdem total überteuert 28,50 Euro.Die Bratkartoffeln und das Tzatziki zum Brot waren aber sehr lecker,es hatte nur etwas mehr Brot seien können,2 Scheiben waren definitiv zu wenig.Wir haben keine 10 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet,obwohl das Lokal gut besucht war.Das fanden wir schon sehr komisch.Alle anderen Lokale in der Umgebung, hatten günstigere Preise obwohl es die selben Gerichte waren,und es hat sehr viel besser geschmeckt.Das Personal war freundlich.Ganz klar keine Empfehlung.

Absolute Empfehlung. Nachdem wir um 20 Uhr in einem Restaurant schon abgewiesen worden, sind wir hier gern angenommen worden und es hat sich gelohnt! Essen: richtig richtig lecker! Service: menschlich freundlich zuvorkommend. Selbst der Koch war noch für ein Witz offen. Danke die Abrundung unseres Tages!
