Waren auf einer Hochzeit, und waren so richtig enttäuscht. Der Service Katastrophe. Das Essen war okay. Also für mich keine 4 Sterne wert.

Zum Abendessen ist das Gasthaus sehr schön essen ist sehr lecker. Und man bekommt für seine Geld hier höchste Qualität.

Ein familiengeführtes Michelin-Stern-Restaurant. Seit acht Generationen (300 Jahren) wird es von der Familie Rottner betrieben. Das Essen ist hervorragend, vielen Dank an Herrn Valentin Rottner. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich. Frau Rottner kümmert sich besonders aufmerksam um die Gäste. Anna Rottner war bei der Reservierung sehr hilfsbereit.

Ich war schon mehrfach zum Abendessen hier. Das Ambiente ist super. Das Essen ist manchmal sehr gut, manchmal einfach OK. Das Personal entspricht nicht unbedingt dem erwarteten Standard. Die Dame des Hauses ist immer sehr freundlich und unterhaltsam. Preis/Leistung stimmt aus meiner Sicht vor allem aufgrund des Personals nicht. Hier sollte mehr Wert auf Ausbildung gelegt werden.

Kurze Wartezeit und nette Bedienung

Irgendwo im Nirgendwo! Leider wenig Romantik, Zimmer ohne Dusche sind völlig aus der Zeit gefallen. Um in die Zimmer zu gelangen, muss man erst über die Straße, Parkplatzsituation semioptimal und gegenüber vom Hotel ist direkt eine Baustelle. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Sehr herzlicher Empfang und ruhige Lage. Ich habe geschäftlich eine Nacht dort verbracht. Für diesen Zweck ist es sehr gut geeignet.

Die Zimmer befinden sich in einem anderen Gebäude, das recht modern aussieht; es hat nichts mit Romantik zu tun.

Wir waren geschäftlich hier für eine Nacht. Der Service war sehr freundlich. Leider waren die Zimmer eher so mittel. Es gab auch keine richtige Dusche, sondern nur eine Badewanne. Das Bett war auch schon sehr stark durchgelegen.

Wir haben im Gasthaus Rottner unseren Jahrestag gefeiert. Und wir waren voll und ganz mit dem ganzen Abend zufrieden. Wurden sehr herzlich aufgenommen, zum Tisch gebracht, unsere Jacken wurden genommen. Dann kam wohl auch noch die Dame des Hauses zu uns. Alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Tische waren schön dekoriert, sehr weit auseinander so dass wir unsere Ruhe und Zweisamkeit genießen konnten. Das Essen war hervorragend lecker so dass wir wieder kommen werden. Im großen und ganz ein Wunderbarer Abend. Danke

Enttäuschend und irreführend Ich habe hier übernachtet, weil sich das Haus als Romantikhotel mit guter Küche präsentiert. Romantik war jedoch weder im Zimmer noch im gesamten Hotel spürbar. Die Einrichtung wirkt stark in die Jahre gekommen, die Atmosphäre ist kühl und ungemütlich. Besonders störend war der modrige Geruch im Zimmer, der selbst durch Lüften nicht verschwand. Der viele Teppichboden verstärkt diesen Eindruck zusätzlich. Das Frühstück war unterirdisch. Der Kaffee schmeckte wie aus einem Bahnhofsvollautomaten, das Buffet war lieblos und der Frühstücksraum erinnerte eher an einen großen Speisesaal aus einem Internat als an ein gemütliches "Romantik" Hotel. Begrüßung oder Aufmerksamkeit durch den Service gab es nicht, auch eine Nachfrage nach Eierspeisen blieb aus. Der eine Stern geht ausschließlich an das Abendessen. Das war wirklich gut, allerdings nicht im Preis enthalten und mit rund 60 € für eine Einzelperson aufgerufen. Fazit: Der Name „Romantikhotel“ weckt Erwartungen, die dieses Haus nicht erfüllt.

Der ausgezeichnete Service, die Freundlichkeit und Aufmerksamkeit haben uns sehr beeindruckt. Das Zimmer war sehr ordentlich und sauber, das Essen im historischen Gasthaus hervorragend. Wir haben im Herbst unsere Hochzeit mit ca. 50 Gästen im Gasthof Rottner gefeiert. Vom ersten Kontakt an war der Umgang immer sehr freundlich und professionell. Wir haben zusammen die Hochzeit geplant, die wir uns gewünscht hatten. Es wurde jedes Detail berücksichtigt und die Kosten waren immer transparent. Zuerst gab es nachmittags eine freie Trauung mit Sektempfang in der historischen Scheune, die von unserem Gastgeber wunderschön vorbereitet und geschmückt wurde. Anschließend wurde im Pavillon gegessen und gefeiert. Es wurde ein herausragendes Drei-Gänge-Menü serviert und im Anschluss ein grandioses Dessertbuffet samt der Hochzeitstorte. Die Zusammenarbeit mit unseren anderen Dienstleistern wie Traurednerin, Fotografin und DJ lief auch reibungslos. Der Service war zu jederzeit großartig und unauffällig. Man merkt hier sind alle mit dem Herzen bei der Sache und das fing mit der Planung an und hörte bei dem Service Personal auf, welches auch zu spätester Stunde immer noch sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend war. Vielen Dank an alle Beteiligten, unsere Gäste und wir waren begeistert.

We spent our 5th wedding anniversary here and deliberately chose the "Romantic Hotel" – unfortunately, it was anything but romantic. Even at the reception, we had to wait several minutes in the entrance area before anyone even attended to us. Despite having made a prior reservation with the express request for an outdoor table and mentioning our anniversary, we were simply seated in the parlor. Only after we had indicated this and waited about 20 minutes were we allowed to move to an outside table. There was no special decoration or attention to the wedding anniversary at all – a shame, especially for a hotel that calls itself a "Romantic Hotel." The culinary experience was a mixed bag: The appetizers were really good, but the beef fillet (just under €100) was disappointing – overcooked, tough, and not up to the standard you'd expect. My wife's main course was very good, but overall, the negative impression outweighed the positive. In the end, we paid just under €300 for the evening and left disappointed. For such a special occasion, we would have expected more care, attention, and, above all, better service. Unfortunately, our wedding day turned into a disappointing experience that we will forever associate with this venue.

I really enjoy staying here. The mattresses are incredibly comfortable. Pillows are perfect for stomach sleepers, and the bedding is very comfortable. Ate here for the first time yesterday: superbly prepared ceviche and the currywurst with walnuts were simply amazing. Freshly prepared scrambled eggs for breakfast, nothing out of a packet—you hardly find anything like that in hotels these days. Keep it up!

Located on the outskirts of Nuremberg, the Romantik Hotel and Gasthof Rottner is a family-run establishment, offering high-quality cuisine and a treat for the palate! A friendly atmosphere, the location, the historic buildings, and excellent food and drink—what more could you need for a wonderful evening?

For a hotel that's supposed to be a 4-star hotel, it's no more comfortable than a 3-star hotel. The non-smoking room stinks of nicotine. In the double room for two people there was only one set of sheets and pillows. They had to be ordered separately. The bed was a disaster. In the morning every bone was aching. Sleep was hardly possible. Smoking guests blare outside the building until midnight. In the morning you're thrown out of bed by church bells at 7 a.m. Breakfast was pretty mediocre too. That definitely gets a B rating. I expected a lot more for this category. In the restaurant the night before, they act like they're all posh. Where the one Michelin star that's supposed to have been awarded here came from is beyond me. The food is way overpriced for what's on offer. As a layperson, I cook better. Maybe I can't judge as a mere mortal. That's just my opinion. We've already compared a total of four hotels this week. Because of our transit, we stayed in a different place/hotel each day. I think we can make an objective assessment. As my mother-in-law always used to say, "They'll suddenly get sick with the young ones, but the beds won't be there." In any case, I/we won't be checking in there again.

Hotel on the outskirts of Nuremberg, in a very quiet location. Excellent value for money. Friendly and very good traditional restaurant.

The inn is top-notch, from the service to the food, top-notch. I was disappointed with the hotel. It lacked the romantic flair. Very clean, but more businesslike. The bathroom is beautifully decorated, and the beds are comfortable. Parking is readily available in front of the hotel.

We feel completely ripped off! The online picture suggests a romantic half-timbered building. We ended up in a boring, run-of-the-mill hotel, far from romantic. That's how false pictures can create completely false expectations! We certainly won't be coming back here.

A little better than typical bed-and-breakfast hotels. Breakfast wasn't extensive, but it was okay. Value for money was okay. Unbearable on hot days. The hotel is like an oven! I won't repeat.

Just a visit to the inn: After many years, we were looking forward to our visit to the Rottner Inn, where we had often enjoyed excellent meals in the past. It all began when, despite having made a reservation, the staff initially ushered us into the wrong garden. Unfortunately, the inn was very busy that evening, and this was certainly a major reason for our negative experience. Although I had specifically ordered the wild garlic noodles with scampi, the size of a main course, this dish came as an appetizer. The fried potatoes that accompanied the admittedly excellent beef fillet could not be described as fried potatoes; they were soft and lacked any roasted flavor. The supposed morel cream sauce that accompanied the veal fillet lacked the wonderful morel flavor. The chef had apparently completely forgotten the morels. Half of the spaetzle were placed on a hot plate far away from our table, and then, of course, no one else was to add more. The quality of the spaetzle left a lot of room for improvement. My criticisms of this matter were met with sensational excuses. The absurdity of the excuses made us chuckle. As we left the beautiful restaurant garden, I confronted Ms. Rottner about my negative experience. The manager's reaction was very commendable; she gave us a bottle of white wine as a small compensation for the evening's disappointments.

I can recommend it anytime. The only drawback was a room that was too warm, but this can be remedied by choosing a different room. Excellent service, whether in the restaurant, reception, or service. Oh yes, our dog was even greeted with treats. We'll be back.

Excellent hotel, just on the outskirts of Nuremberg. The staff is extremely friendly and polite. Breakfast is decent, and they also have a 1* Michelin rated restaurant which was amazing! There is limited parking at the hotel, but there are other free parking options nearby.

Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. The beds were very bad. The pillows were terrible. The rooms were clean. Breakfast wasn't served until 7:00 a.m., which isn't suitable for workers' parking, but it was available. Free.

A very nice, romantic hotel with a great restaurant and two different beer gardens with fine cuisine and very friendly staff. This will now be my regular hotel in Nuremberg!

The pillows were so uncomfortable. They forgot to give me harder pillows in my room. But otherwise everything was fine with a good atmosphere. I would happily stay there again.

We celebrated our wedding here in May. It was beautiful! All our wishes were fulfilled, and the coordination with the friendly event management, host, and service staff worked perfectly. The garden is particularly beautiful, but the celebration in the pavilion, with the option of moving to the lobby and terrace, was also perfect. We were able to delegate a lot of the decorating work on the day itself, and our individual requests were accommodated. The food was an absolute highlight, and the table service worked perfectly. We would celebrate here again anytime!

We stopped there on our tour to the Altmühltal. Quaint restaurant with extremely attentive service and very tasty food. The prices are high, but not excessive. We really liked it.

Well suited for conferences/workshops. The service is really excellent, the restaurant offers cuisine of the highest standard, which is really great. The rooms are a bit old in terms of design but are in very good condition, spacious, clean and quite quiet. The connection to Nuremberg train station is good, also suitable for traveling by train. Parking is no problem around the hotel. WiFi available everywhere.

I stayed here for two nights. The room was a great size, with a large bathroom and a bathtub. The bed was quite hard and a bit dated. The breakfast was very plentiful and varied. There is an underground parking garage, but it is very small and only partially recommended for large vehicles.

On the occasion of a visit to Nuremberg, I was booked into this "romantic hotel", also expecting a comfortable stay. When booking, it was pointed out to me that due to the Christmas market that was currently taking place, the night with breakfast would cost a lot more, i.e. €200.00. Now I was naturally inclined to compare the price in this “4 star” category and the “romantic hotel” rating with my experiences elsewhere in Germany. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Here is a selection of my experiences on site in room 21 on 11/12. December 2024: -No pillow selection, the existing pillow had almost no volume - worn out aged towels - old stains from previous water damage on the wall in the bathroom, one towel was discolored blue - there was no bottle of water in the room - the plain plastic toilet seat was worn and from abrasive cleaners addressed - there was only the cheapest toilet paper - and dirty wall tile joints. The breakfast offering around 8:45 a.m. was disappointing. The buffet was more or less "looted" and not restored, the coffee machine gave me a bad feeling, there were no egg dishes (neither fried nor scrambled eggs, three hard-boiled eggs were added later). The breakfast room had more or less a cafeteria or dining room feel. Breakfast was by no means comfortable. There was "free parking with muddy roadsides" in front of the hotel. Overall, I didn't feel comfortable and won't be coming back. Not even at a lower price. It's a shame, as the website and the title "Romantic Hotel" promised something different.

We were on a business trip and spent a week at the Romantik Hotel Rottner. The location of the hotel is very nice and the staff is very nice and helpful! In my opinion, the hotel's facilities are creepy. Personally, I found it very strange that dolls in a stroller with a cross were placed at the entrance. The corridors are not actively lit. The bed linen had a strange smell when it was stored for a long time. I find the price of 140€/night unreasonably high!

Cozy inn with traditional dishes and delicious surprises as a greeting and farewell to the kitchen. Excellent, nice and courteous service. People aren't used to that anymore these days. Here the guest is still king.

We visited the restaurant today on the occasion of our wedding anniversary. The service was exceptional – friendly and attentive – and the food was delicious. We had a four-course goose menu. At first we thought we would end up hungry, but by the third course we were already full. The dishes were beautifully presented and had a rich flavor profile. The excellent service made the experience perfect.

Went there today with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered single file as a 4 course menu, it was enough for us, we enjoyed it very much, everything was perfect! It was the first time I ate in such a star restaurant and I did it a bit wrong, but the waitress Nina was very accommodating and friendly and told us that we had left our cutlery wrong 😂 You always learn, I say like that.. 😁 So everything we got was service and the food was IMPECCABLE! I rarely eat sweets, but I ate the whole plate full! 😂 Thank you to the whole team for a great evening!

Der Empfang war schon schön, Tisch schön gedeckt. Wir hatten einen Gutschein zur Hochzeit bekommen und uns wurde auch mal gratuliert. Alle sehr zuvorkommend, man hat sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Es gab vorher noch Brot mit diversen Aufstrichen, sehr lecker. Das Essen selbst wurde sehr schön serviert, alles in allem wirklich was besonderes, aber eben auch nicht billig.

We were greeted directly in the entrance area by three service staff who took us to the table and took off our jackets. There was a super delicious greeting from the kitchen. And the finest bread with various spreads at the forefront. Your water glass will always be refilled. The main courses were also delicious. The beef and venison were juicy and tender. There was nothing wrong! The desserts also impressed us. The icing on the cake were the delicious farewell chocolates. Accordingly, the prices are somewhat higher. All in all, excellent food with great service and a lovely atmosphere!

Really great hotel. Very large and clean rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff always friendly and quick. The food is absolutely delicious. Since we had a workshop there, we ate all our meals there. No matter whether it was breakfast, lunch or dinner, everything was delicious. The snacks during the breaks and the selection of drinks were great.

My first time eating there. It was the beginning of October but the entrance area was surprisingly unkempt to me. The old but beautiful inn has its own flair. The menu food was very good, which was to be expected. Gladly again.

Dear Rottner family, Our families have now known each other for three generations. We were able to experience many family celebrations, musical breakfasts and cozy evenings in the Rottner house. Even today, for my mother's 88th birthday, everything was great... even the little things, like the greeting from the kitchen with warm bread with a perfect crust and fine crumb, were designed with the same passion as the delicious starters and the finest main courses and were prepared as always accompanied by unobtrusive, friendly service. The sorbet variations were a final poem... Thank you for a lovely evening.

We were invited to a wedding there. A very nice hotel and very nice staff. The small deductions in the recycling are, on the one hand, because of the carpet laid over the entire surface, which I personally don't like, and the location is in the middle of the city/settlement so there is no nice nature/landscape view around. But all in one, highly recommended!!!!

Das Essen war qualitativ gut, aber teilweise überwürzt und deutlich zu teurer für das Niveau. Der Gastraum ist sehr rustikal und war leider recht stickig. Der Service war ungemütlich konfus, weil auf engem Raum viel Personal hin und her gelaufen ist. für einen Landgasthof in Ordnung, aber nicht zu diesem Preis. Wir kommen leider nicht wieder.

We were invited to dinner here by a friend and it was an experience of our lifetime! Starting with the Lavender Sparkling Wine, the steak tartar small bite, and the foie gras parfait, then the amazing Venison saddle with perfectly prepared sides! All courses served with paired wines. The service was exceptional. I wish I could dine here every night!

Dear Hotel Rottner team, dear Rottner family. My wife made a conscious decision to stay at your hotel between stops on the way back from Italy. She and the rest of the family were thrilled. What should be highlighted is the excellent cuisine and the top service in the Garden Restaurant. We felt very comfortable. Thank you again and see you next time.

Customer service was great and a very friendly staff

We had dinner at the Gasthaus Rottner and sat in the garden of the restaurant. The atmosphere was really nice, the tables were beautifully set and there were bouquets of flowers on every table. The service was extremely attentive and very friendly. Special requests were no problem at all. The food was very good. I particularly enjoyed the duck liver parfait. There are enough parking spaces, but access to the garden is not barrier-free. Conclusion: We will definitely go there again. Don't forget to reserve!

We had a really delicious meal last week in the "Nussbaumgarten", good Franconian cuisine is on offer, prepared by the chef, great value for money, really. Everyone is friendly, you can tell they are all personally behind success or failure. For gourmets, there is the right interior in the lovingly maintained interior. This atmosphere is unforgettable. The hotel is located a little outside the center, but easily accessible by subway. Quiet, clean, good atmosphere. Breakfast good, but not special. The walnut garden is recommended. Nice, shady thanks to trees, good food.

Were there for my father's birthday. Very nice atmosphere in the garden area. Very attentive service and wine advice. Excellent cuisine, the venison leg - a dream with scraped! Spaetzle. The perfect sauces are particularly worth mentioning. Great lamb, carved at the table! Very professional service. Top without being aloof, you feel very well looked after. A culinary very good birthday meal. Thanks to the kitchen and the team. PS: Very good value for money!

Quite a nice hotel. We were basically just a sleepover and everything I needed was there.

Unfortunately, this hotel has nothing to do with romance and is therefore absolutely misleading. Our room was in need of renovation, shabby and, above all, not clean! The shower was terrible. Without a fan, the heat in the room was unbearable. There was a musty smell in the entrance to the building next door. Mold stains on the ceiling in the hallway. Minibar not filled. The mattresses were new but only caused back pain. Beer garden closed on a Saturday... Incomprehensible We booked 3 nights and left the next morning because we were so disappointed with this hotel. The only good thing was the super nice and friendly staff, really welcoming. Afterwards we found a really nice hotel with a feel-good factor in Bayreuth. Traveled over Pentecost. There has been no email from management to date.

Great hotel with great food and wonderful breakfast

I don't know what's romantic about it, but overall it's nice. The bathrooms were designed by some crazy architect :)

Nice and delicious food. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not always open and then there is nothing to eat in the room, but otherwise recommended. It's best to ask beforehand.

A perfect evening at the Gasthaus Rottner… the food was excellent from start to finish… simply very, very tasty…. The staff was super friendly, not at all fake and extremely attentive… and the bosses were warm and put their heart and soul into their work… a successful evening… 11 out of 10 points… Thank you for this great evening 🫶♥️

Working on my computer and bugs decided to join me. This can't be just a one room problem, so housekeeping has probably brought it up to management seeing it often. Owners probably don't want to pay to eradicate the pests, have fun sleeping with them...
