I had an incredible experience at this Persian/Middle Eastern restaurant in Freiburg. The food was truly authentic — the recipes tasted homemade, rich in flavor, and carefully prepared. The staff were exceptionally warm and welcoming, which made the whole evening feel very special. I loved the beautiful garden seating, which added to the relaxed and inviting atmosphere, and the interior was also beautifully decorated. This place is a real gem for anyone who wants to enjoy genuine Persian cuisine. As I live far away from the amazing city of Freiburg I will not be able to return soon, but I hope to return. I still remember the taste of my food there. I had the baghali polo rice with chicken in tomato sauce. My husband had the ghormeh sabzi khoresh with white rice. Everything that came with it was delicious including the fresh baked bread. Thank you for your hard work.

We've been to the Shahaneh restaurant a few times. It's very cozy both inside (with a lovely atmosphere) and outside. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is simply DELICIOUS. We highly recommend Shahaneh.

The price was very high for what you actually got in terms of food. For example, €17 for a meat dish that ultimately consisted of five pieces of meat and a small handful of fries... The eggplant appetizer was very tasty. The juice drinks didn't taste fresh. However, the service was very friendly.

Let me paint you a picture. I'm sitting in Canada, nearly 4,000 miles away from my aunt, who's recovering from an accident in a German hospital. She had one craving: Persian food. Trying to order delivery across an ocean seems impossible, but I was determined. After checking every Persian restaurant within a 20-kilometer radius, I found Shahaneh Persian Restaurant. The real hero of this story is a man named Saied. I called, half-joking, and asked, "Can you deliver to a hospital?" My voice was probably a frantic plea. I explained my situation, and without a moment's hesitation, he said yes. He was a true gentleman. The next day, my phone rang. It was my aunt, overflowing with joy. The food had arrived not just on time, but on "German time"—prompt and perfect. The packaging was meticulous, a feat of engineering that kept everything hot and pristine. The Barg kabob was so tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, she practically wept. The barberry rice was a work of art—buttery, fluffy, and delicious, paired with the most heavenly saffron chicken. The salad was fresh and smothered with a delicious homemade sauce. Even the homemade saffron ice cream, a delicate dessert, arrived perfectly intact. Shahaneh is more than a restaurant; it’s a warm embrace. They didn't just deliver food; they delivered a piece of home, a spoonful of comfort, and a whole lot of love. Saied, you're a legend! You've made a loyal customer out of someone who lives in a different country, and I promise, when I finally make it to Germany, I'm coming to thank you in person. Get the Barg kabob ready!

I went there last night with my daughter for dinner. We were served by a very hard-working, friendly, and courteous young lady. The second waitress also came over to check if everything was okay. We got our food quickly and were very pleased with it. It was delicious and beautifully presented. You scan the menu with your smartphone, which is a really cool feature; you can always check what's available. We will definitely be back!

At Schahaneh, the guest is king, as the name suggests. You receive royal service. I love going there and miss it when I can't go for a while.
