Fish fillet – fast food quality, Wiener Schnitzel – fast food quality, Cordon Bleu – fast food quality. Side salads and fries – the same. We can't comment on the rest. Let's be completely honest – we come as customers because there's nothing else available locally and we're hungry, regardless of the reviews. We come from the restaurant industry and see what's homemade and what isn't. Prices are at tourist level – in other words, inflated.

For large group bookings, the service staff attitude was extremely poor. We made a reservation well in advance by email, specifying our requirements, and were told that only cash payments would be accepted, otherwise the booking would be canceled. Despite the advance reservation, the restaurant did not hold any tables, resulting in our guests being unable to have lunch on time. After payment, they refused to provide an invoice. We do not recommend this restaurant for travel agency group bookings.

Be careful. Tourist trap that only accepts cash. Only cash. In 2025. Where you going?

We were in the upper part of the Seehaus and are extremely disappointed and angry! We were served three poorly presented cordon bleus with ham in it. One of them had small flies on and under the cordon bleus, which he also sent back. Then, without an apology or anything else, he was made a new one, even though he said he didn't want any more. He was also insinuated that he might have put the flies on the plate himself. Because of this comment, he didn't want it anymore. A few minutes later, the chef himself came by and said he should be more respectful when working in the kitchen in 40-degree heat. That's all well and good, but should we eat live animals because of that???! The situation then escalated and an argument ensued. A very unprofessional and insulting way a restaurant treats its guests. This shouldn't and cannot happen! A disgrace.

The restaurant is located about 2 minutes from Königssee. There's a small beer garden in the front and inside. Due to the large number of tourists, you might have to wait 1-2 hours for your food, as was the case today. The waiter was fair and informed us of this beforehand. The prices are steep. For three cakes with one whipped cream and three drinks, we paid €36. That's quite steep. Unfortunately, we didn't like the cake. Because it was so busy, the waiter could barely serve outside.

Upon arrival we were told that we could only order drinks as it would take around 30 minutes before we could order food. This was a bit unusual in itself, but we accepted it. After 45 minutes of waiting, however, no one had come to take our food order. We also observed that guests who had arrived after us had already had their orders taken and were eating. When we politely approached a waiter to ask about our order, we were met with an unacceptable and extremely rude tone. Instead of an apology or explanation, we were met with an angry response, which was deeply unprofessional and ruined our entire evening. The lack of attention and especially the aggressive reaction from the staff is unacceptable. We left the place with a very bad experience and unfortunately cannot recommend this place based on the service we received

The menu is old but with English explanations. The photos on the menu are not very attractive, but they are similar to the real thing (can you say it is very honest). An ordinary restaurant in the tourist area.

Absolutely not recommended if you like good fiod and positive customer service. If you still go, you will face there rude behavior.

We had a Cordon Bleu and a roast beef with onions. The Cordon Bleu was a bit small but very tasty. It was enough, and at €15.90, it was one of the cheaper dishes. The roast beef with onions was very tasty, as were the fried potatoes. The portion was larger, but so was the price at €27.90. All in all, it's typically expensive for a tourist spot, but the quality is very good and delicious. I can therefore recommend it without reservation.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice, the service was great too, even able to speak Czech and English. Of course the prices are high, I have ordered my dish which came about 28 euro, for me it is very expensive yet this is what you get in tourist area. The size of the dish wasn’t small at least and it was well cooked too. Overall, nice restaurant but expect the prices will be high.

The waiter was mean and unprofessional, the food was really expensive and it took a really long time before we got our meal and the meal wasn't even good

Salad was average, trout was good

Had the gourmet block. We wanted to look for a table, but we were rudely told at the entrance that the voucher wasn't valid today because it was a public holiday. So when we said that today wasn't a holiday, the excuse was that it was Easter holidays. The vouchers are not valid on public holidays, but today is not a public holiday and there are no exceptions to holidays. I will never set foot in here again. Then it's better to go one step further.

Can't understand the bad reviews. We ate there today, twice the Jägerpfanne. The food was good and the service was super nice. It looks like other users/reviewers ate at the restaurant opposite, but unfortunately rated the Seehaus. You should look carefully at what or which restaurant you are judging. We were satisfied and would like to come back.

A large salad with fresh vegetables is a happy prelude to lunch, paired with a refreshing beer, and the original trout retains the freshness of the fish. The mountain view outside the window is a bonus, a must-visit restaurant at King Lake~

The hot drinks are very overpriced, but not unusual for a tourist destination. Since the hot meals were also reasonably priced, I settled for a pretzel. I thought I couldn't go wrong with that. Unfortunately, it was hard and chewy. I expected something different from a Bavarian pretzel. One of the two restrooms didn't have a lock.

So dear Google, how did this happen? It says Restaurant Seehaus am Königsee and on the right there is a picture of the neighbors opposite and all the bad reviews go to Restaurant Seehaus. I was served a soup (potato soup). Unfortunately it only consisted of water and was cooked from vegetable stock. Two slices of potatoes and half a Viennese. She also had a bite and I think she was sour Someone who can cook well wouldn't even serve his worst enemy such broth. It's a shame, as a Bavarian I would be ashamed to serve something like that to my guests. My neighbor at the table had currywurst with fries which was again good. But what can you do wrong? I asked the waiter about it and gave it back. Unfortunately it snapped and I wasn't offered anything else. That alone is confirmation that this is not professional.

I ordered 1 Cordon Bleu with fries. It was frozen food and really disgusting. The fries were still ok but they weren't really good either. The food was very carelessly prepared with lemon and cranberries on the schnitzel, as if you didn't have a bowl for the cranberries. Normally you use the lemon for the schnitzel. No salad to garnish, nothing. There was probably no cook at work. We also found a piece of metal in the food. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo. I forgot it out of sheer disappointment. The restaurant is very old and really needs to be renovated. Sorry you'll never see us again, we were really very disappointed and angry.... pure rip off... I don't recommend it to anyone.

The atmosphere looked inviting, so we (2 adults, 1 toddler) decided to eat at the lake house for lunch. At the beginning no one greeted us and I poked my head into the kitchen to find out that card payment was possible. The restaurant was otherwise deserted. We were told to choose a table and someone would come to us straight away. In the meantime, 7 people came into the restaurant who were not greeted again and who, after walking back and forth for 3 minutes, decided to leave the restaurant. After listening to the conversations in the kitchen for 15 minutes and no one paying any attention to us, let alone bringing a menu, we decided to leave. Just as we were putting on our jackets, the waiter arrived. I wanted to explain to him why we were leaving the restaurant again. But he wasn't interested in that at all. He turned his back on me to go back into the kitchen. If it takes so long to bring a card, I don't even want to find out how long our entire visit to the restaurant would have taken. That's why we can't recommend the Seehaus and won't visit it again.

The experience was overall good. We went to the restaurant after finishing the boat tour. It’s nicely located on the street between the lake and the information center. The guy was friendly and came back when we weren't ready to order. He also offered alternatives to pork when we asked. The food looked bigger on the menu. We had the XXL burger, which wasn’t as big and the fried seelach fillet. The fillet wasn’t the best, but the presentation was nice with lots of salads and vegetables. We also had orange juice, which unfortunately didn’t taste great—it was like supermarket juice. The place is large and gives a local Bayrisch vibe. It wasn’t crowded, and the tables were spaced out well, giving good personal space. The prices were moderate; they could be a little cheaper in the city, but for a tourist spot, it was fine. Overall, it was a good experience.

The steak was quite large and tasted good, and the fried potato chips were also delicious. The other order was the German sausage which was surprisingly good and delicious. The beer tastes good. I'll take care of it.

Grilled trout with dark beer is amazing

When it comes to schnitzel and cordon, ready-made products are guaranteed to be used. Not even these are served 100% “done”. Fries also not served ready. If you ask the staff about it, they will respond with disinterest. The place is basically cool, but the huge cobwebs on the walls are rather unappetizing.

The location is particularly nice and the staff is nice, but we were there after 6:20 p.m. and we were told that the kitchen was already closed, even though this wasn't noted on the website and we drove there specifically . In addition, some prices are simply far too high despite the location. For an orange juice with a scoop of ice cream on top, 10.50 is way too much, even if you end up liking it at all.

Restaurant is open until 9 p.m. On a Saturday (!) we come to the restaurant at 6:30 p.m. and want to order food. We are told that the kitchen is already closed and that only drinks are available. There is no other restaurant open anywhere, so we came here full of hope and were sorely disappointed. No notice on the website that the kitchen closes three hours beforehand, nothing. By the way, the prices are absolutely ridiculous. €15 for a scoop of vanilla ice cream with hot raspberry sauce. €10.50 for a small orange juice with ice… You can imagine the rest of the prices. We cannot recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

We were here on 10/30/2024, the service was good, the food was prepared quickly. I liked everything, it was delicious! Yes, it's expensive. But we should have understood all this!

We were there for dinner with two families around 5 p.m. in the evening. Food was bad. We had pizza and soup. 2 pizzas were burnt, one was still raw. The pizzas were very small and tasted like frozen pizzas. The pumpkin soup was ok, less creamy, very watery. The equipment is very old. More like an ancient pub.

I will never eat in there again. In any case, cooking is something different and you don't have to throw everything into the deep fryer and the frozen stuff was also too expensive

The service was good, the food was rather poor. Little to no seasoning and the turkey steak had a part that looked more like the sole of a shoe than a piece of meat.

I ordered "delicious" onion roast beef with homemade fried potatoes. A proud 26 euros... Waiter asked: medium or well done? At a roast? I asked. OF COURSE. The food was there in no time. A rubber beef steak, bagged fried potatoes, and the onions were more like chips (also from the bag) cold hard onions. No sauce, nothing. Oh, there were also arugula branches. I don't think they know what a roast is. This is ready-made snack food at restaurant prices. Of course I complained. As a little treat I got an espresso on the house. In this beautiful place is this "inn" is out of place. Tourist rip-off.

Very good service, excellent food

We ordered the cordon bleu that was on offer on the board. The breading, the ham or whatever it was and the cheese was anything but good. The fries were the best thing on the plate. Even if it is advertised as cheaper (€13.90), it should also taste good. Especially in one of the most beautiful places in Bavaria. The one star just because of the fries.

Food was OK, but nothing special. Prices, like everywhere else on Königssee, are very high. The restaurant is getting so old that you feel like you want to squeeze out as much money as possible.

The food was very tasty, especially the knuckle, which is only available on weekends. If you book the knuckle 1 hour in advance, it will be particularly crispy and tasty. That was a really tasty 1.3kg grilled knuckle, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.

Food was ok at best, but the service was awful and the waiter was very rude. We saw him yelling with other customers before, and later on he complained and yelled with us because we were taking too long to pay the bill (which was 1/2 minutes at max) would highly recommend for anyone to avoid this restaurante.

Absolut keine Empfehlung. Wir wollten ein schnelles Mittagessen bei unserem Ausflug zu uns nehmen. Der Biergarten sah ganz süß aus, deshalb haben wir uns entschieden etwas dort zu essen. Wo fange ich an? Die Speisekarten sind klebrig und mit unappetitlichen Bildern für Touristen bestückt. Ansprechend sehen die Gerichte dort nicht aus. Das Besteck ist billigste Ware und bereits komplett verkrazt. Die Preise sind enorm für die Qualität, die man dort erhält. Ich habe mich dann für Spätzle in Kraut entschieden. Die waren leider sehr trocken und schwammen im Öl. Der komplette Pfannenboden war mit 0,5cm Öl getränkt. Der Kellner war auch sehr unfreundlich und eher genervt von den Gästen. Die Gaststube ist absolut in der Vergangenheit stehen geblieben. Für Leute die es gerne urig und alt mögen ist das ok. Die Toiletten waren schmutzig und man konnte von zwei Kabinen eine nicht verschließen. In dieses Haus wird 0,0 investiert und der Betreiber versucht nur abzuschöpfen. Im Normalfall funktioniert Gastronomie so nicht- ich befürchte am Königssee schon! Wir kommen jedoch definitiv NIE wieder hierher. Vermutlich ist das aber egal, da hier alles auf das schnelle Geld mit Touristen ausgelegt ist.

Waiter wearing traditional outfit, food being local, abundant and fast, this spot is for you who have had a long day. Friendly and fast service with bellies filled. Nothing extraordinary, but the Konigssee makes sure you had enough impressions for the day.

We ordered pizza which was just a frozen re-heated pizza. Fries were also frozen re-heated and stale. The snitzel was not properly cooked. All in all I would recommend to avoid, although the attractive location near the lake. Eat somewhere else.

Of course, the prices in this area are anything but cheap - but they are still about 3 euros less than the restaurants directly at the harbor. The service was friendly, the atmosphere inside and outside in the shady garden was nice. The food was okay, but not great either. And the salad with cheese spaetzle has unfortunately apparently fallen victim to inflation. Used to be standard. Nevertheless, we recommend it in this area.

I usually check the reviews before I go to a restaurant. But the children wanted ice cream and there were tons of wasps flying around outside. The prices are absolutely a joke. 7.90 euros for two small baby ice cream scoops and 5.50 euros for a latte which is sold in a small cup as a crema with milk. If you look at the reviews of the entire street, we have probably landed on a rip-off street here. True to the motto: They won't come back here anyway. At least the staff (presumably from Eastern Europe) were very friendly.

The restaurant is located right on the harbor and offers a beautiful view. The staff was extremely nice and friendly, which made the visit very pleasant. Unfortunately I can only rate the food with three stars. I wasn't impressed by the quality of the meat and was a bit too oily for my taste. The fries, on the other hand, were particularly tasty and are definitely worth a try. The price for two people including drinks and food is around 60 euros, which is understandable given the location. The restaurant is particularly recommended for a nice time with coffee and cake. I hope the quality of the food will be improved in the future.

Operation and service was ok, didn't take long. But unfortunately the food was disappointing for my taste for the prices quoted. I had trout Müllerin that came out of the deep fryer and wasn't quite cooked through. For 22 euros I would have expected that this would at least be baked in butter. Schnitzel and fries were ok for the children, but for me it was too mixed and the breading was too soggy. 15 euro. My wife had the game pan, the meat was still a bit very pink and streaky. It had nothing to do with German or Bavarian cuisine. It's bad when people save a lot of money, come to Germany and are then served something like that, typical of the country. I think I'll buy a deep fryer and open a restaurant in a tourist hotspot soon. If the owner is reading this, I would like to tell him that he should urgently hire a professional chef if he is serious about the restaurant. This won't work well in the long term, even if the situation currently allows it.

Very welcoming service from Jordan, our server. Got the trout/seesaiblingsfilet with vegetables and was pretty happy at the variety of veggies (mushrooms, eggplant, zucchini, carrots, and a side salad). Was way better than the photo suggested. Kaiserschmarrn (little pan fried dough patties with powdered sugar and applesauce) was an excellent way to finish the meal, but beware it’s a huge plate!

Quite a simple atmosphere with below-average food that satisfies your hunger but is very marginal in terms of taste. The CordonBleu was filled with indefinable cheese and the fat in my piece of pork steak had a very - one could almost say "horrible" - taste.

It was the worst experience in Königssee. The cordon bleau looks good but tasted horrible, especially since they added a lot of onions and the ham was probably not good since a few days. To adjust the taste a bit we asked for some ketchup and mayo and they charged us (without telling before) 2 euros (+ they took 40 cents more when we payed - which is nothing but makes understand the dishonesty of the place). Even the Fries did not taste so good.

Lousy service. Avoid at all cost. Everything u ask for will be charged. Ketchup - 50cts per packet. Refill of hot water for tea, they charge the same price. When we say we don’t want it anymore, the rude waiter say too late, place the water on table and left. We asked and there was no option given and they put e cup of hot water on your table, and u get charged. Nonsense. This shop is a disgrace to the wonderful country.

The side salad was a joke. We just tried it and paid straight away and left. Not once did anyone ask why we were leaving straight away… and with such high prices. You really should be ashamed of yourself. Hey guys, you'd better eat fries for €5. Service was ok

Dinner at lunch on 4/21. The waiter was very professional and provided a good seat by the window. The food was also quite delicious.

2023/9 Table and floors have stuck (smacked) > dirty > The table was only cleaned after the third complaint. We were the only 10 guests and the staff was standing around. You don't go there. Bad conclusion> We're glad that none of us leaned on the table, otherwise we'd still be stuck there today.

Please don't do this to yourself. I don't normally write reviews but I have to here. You have to be lucky if someone brings you the card. Food didn't come through after 1.5 hours (not very busy), fries didn't come through, the currywurst was like rubber and the spaetzle were the worst I've ever eaten.

Unfortunately we cannot leave a good review here. We were looking for a delicious coffee/cake and ice cream in the afternoon and passed the Seehaus restaurant and felt attracted to it both from the outside and inside. Unfortunately we weren't noticed or greeted and then looked for a table ourselves. Staff walked past several times and no one came to us even when we gave a hand signal (hello, we're new here). My husband had to go to the staff and ask for tickets. We then order two coffees, two cakes and a children's ice cream sundae. After 20 minutes in which nothing happened, we drew attention to ourselves and asked for our order. Then the coffee came promptly. Our son, already very jittery, was still waiting for the ice cream. We really ordered food that was quick, nothing warm. Well the coffee was empty, still no cake or ice cream in sight. After two more questions (there were at least 4 of the staff walking around and there were a moderate number of guests), you answered sloppily and then turned away and ran away. Sometime later the “very elaborate” dishes came. So we ate the cake separately from the coffee, which was already empty. Conclusion: I have no idea what was going on, but it was a really terrible visit for us. And by the way, three other couples and groups only had annoyed faces and questions... So we weren't the only ones feeling this way. Unfortunately there was no nice explanation from the staff. We don't go there anymore.

Service was quite good. The soups are more on the bland side. My germknödel was very dry. Warmed up in the microwave, luckily there was vanilla sauce otherwise I wouldn't have been able to eat it. Under the motto, the guest only comes once.... What a shame
