Jenneralm in Schönau a.Königssee

Wunderschön gelegene Alm mit großartigem Blick auf die Berchtesgadener Berge. Die Wege sind gut gepflegt, die Atmosphäre ruhig und angenehm, und oben wartet eine gemütliche Einkehr mit leckerem Essen. Ideal für eine entspannte Wanderung mit richtig schönem Panorama.

Ein schöner Ort, um etwas zu essen oder einen herrlichen Spaziergang zu beginnen. Atemberaubende Aussicht.

Toller Service mit freundlichem Personal, gutem Bier und ein unvergleichlicher Kaiserschmarrn. Dazu die grandiose Aussicht und trotz des Touristen Hotspots mehr als genug Platz. Wir waren mit unserem Hund hier und neben dem Wassernapf gab es sogar ein kleines Hasenohr für unseren Schnuffel. Rundum schon ein Highlight unseres Jenner besuchs.

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant im Obergeschoss mit bayerischen Gerichten aus regionalen Zutaten. Sehr netter und zuvorkommender Service.

Ambiente auf dem Jenner ist natürlich unschlagbar. Von der Terrasse hat man einen herrlichen Panoramablick. Service war auch sehr gut. Trotz der hohen Gästezahl musste man nicht lange warten bis man bedient wurde. Das essen war gut aber natürlich im Vergleich zu einem "normalen" Restaurant etwas teurer aber nicht zu teuer.

Superfreundliche Bedienung, Essen sehr lecker, preislich völlig in Ordnung. Auf der Terrasse bei gutem Wetter ein absoluter Traum.

Idealer Ort um zu entspannen, traum Ausblick, dazu ein kühles Getränk und perfekt. Zum essen kann ich nichts sagen hatte nur was getrunken.... Sah aber optisch alles was so an mir vorbei kam sehr lecker aus.

Super lecker! Die Aussicht war fantastisch! Auch das Personal war sehr nett! Sie waren sehr freundlich und erklärten uns die Speisekarte und erzählten uns von lokalen Spezialitäten. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder, wenn ich die Gelegenheit dazu habe!

Nach erfolgreichem Aufstieg besuchten wir die Alm um uns zu stärken, das Personal war super freundlich und das Essen und die Getränke waren super schnell an unseren Tisch. Die Portionen war sehr groß, hungrig geht man hier nicht raus :D

Sind schon oft auf Bergen gewesen, wir haben nichts erwartet. Man kennt es, man muss essen was angeboten wird. Hier wurden unsere Erwartungen übertroffen… Mega leckeres Essen, äußerst nettes Servicepersonal. Sehr zu empfehlen. Erstaunliches Essen für einen Touristenort

Wir sind mit der Bergbahn zum Gipfel gefahren und hatten das Deluxe-Frühstück geordert. Sensationelle Auswahl. Sehr aufmerksames Servicepersonal, welches uns mehrfach die inkludierten Getränke brachte. Sehr zu empfehlen

Das Essen war super! Eine große Portion Kaiserschmarrn, leckerer Kaffee und ein guter Burger. Die Aussicht war auch erstklassig. Decken lagen bereit. Der Preis ist allerdings etwas hoch. 5,30 € für einen Cappuccino… Der Service ließ auch zu wünschen übrig. Während des Essens war alles in Ordnung, nichts Besonderes, einfach nur okay. Am Ende, als ich bezahlte, habe ich angesichts des Preises kein Trinkgeld gegeben. Die Kellnerin fragte aber ständig, ob alles wirklich zu unserer Zufriedenheit gewesen sei und ob wir etwas ändern müssten. Es war zu offensichtlich, dass sie Trinkgeld wollte, fast schon bettelte sie. Das ist in einem Lokal wie diesem inakzeptabel.

Ein toller Ort mit gutem Essen, und für so ein Lokal sind die Preise angemessen. Das ist super, denn Touristenziele sind oft überteuert. Genieße nach dem Klettern ein Bier, einen Kaffee oder etwas anderes Leckeres

Herzlichen Dank für die fürsorgliche und umsichtige Bedienung während unseres Aufenthaltes am 12. Mai 2026. Ein besonderer Tag,nicht nur,weil es vier Jahreszeiten an einem Tag gegeben hat, sondern auch,weil wir mit 10 Personen zur Eheschließung angereist sind. Das Brautpaar, die Kinder und wir,als Trauzeugen, waren rundum zufrieden. Vielen Dank für diesen unvergesslichen Tag!

Könnte insgesamt ein toller Ort zum Einkehren nach einer Wanderung sein, jedoch leider nicht bei diesem Service. Die Bedienung war derart unaufmerksam dass man erstmal 20 Minuten bis zum Bestellen warten kann, man 30 Minuten auf jemand warten muss um ein Getränk nachzubestellen und auch die Küche scheint in diesem Schlaftablettentempo zu arbeiten, denn der Kaiserschmarrn lies ganze 40 Minuten auf sich warten, bei vielleicht 70% besetzter Terasse. Bei den Preisen (17,90€ für eine relativ kleine Portion Kaiserschmarrn) und diesem grottig schlechten Service würde ich nicht wiederkommen.

Original bayerische Küche (Weißwurst mit Senf und Brezel), dazu Weizen 😋😋 In solch einer natürlichen Umgebung kann einfach nichts nicht gut schmecken!

Essen war lecker, der Preis der Berghöhe entsprechend, guter flotter Service, schönes Ambiente... Weiter so...

Es ist schwer vorstellbar, inmitten von Bergen zu speisen, auf Liegestühlen zu sitzen und die Aussicht zu genießen, während Gelbschnabelraben in der Nähe auf Futter warten – einfach traumhaft! Das Beste daran ist der günstige Preis, der das Restaurant zum perfekten Ort zum Entspannen macht. Wir bestellten Kaffee, die Tagessuppe, Brathähnchen mit Pommes und Brezeln – absolut empfehlenswert. Im Winter war es etwas kühl, aber es gab netterweise Decken und Kissen.

Um's gleich vorweg zu sagen: Ich bin oft, ja schon fast regelmäßig dort und bisher hatte jedes Essen 5 Sterne verdient. Gestern war ein Traumtag und dazu noch die Sonderverabstaltung "Jenner bei Nacht". Ich bin mir sicher, das Küchenteam gab sein Bestes. Wir waren erst relativ spät oben und ums kurz zu machen: Mein Essen hat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt und auch bei den anderen war es nicht, wie gewohnt, perfekt. Wie dann allerdings mit meiner Reklamation umgegangen wurde verdient eigentlich sogar 10 Sterne. Nicht nur, daß ich das reklamierte Essen nicht zu bezahlen brauchte, nein, auch das Ersatzessen ging auf's Haus. Wie schon gesagt: Das verdient 10 Sterne und einen großen Dank an Osman, unseren Kellner. Alias franggnmadla

Lecker Burger, ganz tolle Aussicht, Preise auch noch ok, nicht teurer als in der Stadt unten.

Das Essen und der Service oben waren fantastisch, mit das Beste, was ich je auf einem europäischen Gipfel erlebt habe. Alles war frisch und heiß! Die Bedienung war sehr höflich und schnell. Ich habe mich schließlich für den Pulled-Pork-Burger entschieden und war begeistert! Das Beste daran: die herrliche Aussicht zum Essen.

Super Aussicht, super Service und erstklassiges Essen. Ich hatte das Wildgulasch (Hirsch) und es war einfach ein Genuss. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Ein Restaurant mit einer atemberaubenden Aussicht. Das Essen ist, angesichts der abgelegenen und touristischen Lage, überraschend gut. Ich habe in zwei verschiedenen Jahren Gulaschsuppe gegessen und beide Male war sie einfach perfekt. Wahrscheinlich die beste, die ich je in Deutschland gegessen habe.

Yesterday, our band Flottn3er had the pleasure of playing music at the Jenneralm. I'd especially like to commend the staff. Every single employee was friendly, always helpful, and attentive to our needs. A huge compliment to them! That's how hospitality should be! Thumbs up!!

Everything tastes better post hike. Unbeknownst to me the food was actually pretty good. This spot was paradise after a long hike from the bottom all the way up. We sat in the sun what felt like 28 degrees in November. The spätzle was okay but the mushroom ravioli was really tasty. All in all decent Alp food with a more refined menu featuring all the classics and all the drinks. Service was sooo hospitable and friendly. Highly recommend!

I'm lounging around here on the terrace. It's 3:30, half the chairs are dozing, and the guests seem as undemanding as houseplants. A dream for any server, really. I'd like to order. The tables around me have long since been served. I'm the only one sitting here, like a walking invisibility cloak. I've asked several times, even waved politely with eye contact, but I'm consistently ignored like an old sock under the sofa. A quick check with my selfie camera: no blood, no remnants of a Halloween mask, I don't look homeless or like a Yeti. Shaved: yes. Showered: also yes. Even at the table, I can't find a "Reserved" or "Only breathing, not being served here" sign. And yet: radio silence. It's 4:00 now. Oh well, I'll just trudge hungrily towards the summit cross before it gets dark and the last cable car leaves. What a shame. The terrace is lovely, the view magnificent. My face seems to be the only one missing from the guest list today.

A must-see. If you're in the area, definitely go up.

We took the cable car up. We actually only wanted to have a coffee at the top. But the view and the weather were so beautiful that we stayed up for lunch. The coffee was great, and the food was amazing! The pumpkin soup was fantastic, and the cheese dumplings with salad were also delicious, and the steamed dumplings were also delicious. We paid just under €65 for two coffees, two drinks, and the three dishes. That was totally reasonable.

As a young family with an eight-month-old child and an old dog, we were very satisfied. The service was fantastic. The frozen baby food we brought with us was reused and brought to the table with cutlery and a napkin for feeding. Because of the service, we decided to order something only afterward. The food was delicious and the service was consistently attentive.

Very touristic, as can be expected from a restaurant next to a cable car station, but the Brotzeitteller I had was surprisingly authentic and tasty. The building itself is super-ugly; the view from the terrace is great if one stands next to the railing, but quite limited while sitting at a table.

A beautiful place, very friendly staff, and super delicious food with a menu that leaves nothing to be desired! And once you've hiked up, it tastes like paradise!

A great view that cannot be forgotten.

After climbing the Jenner, we wanted a leisurely meal. The restaurant has a beautiful interior, a pleasant ambiance, and a very large terrace outside with a fantastic view. There's an elevator from the mountain station plateau to the restaurant level one floor below. There are plenty of seating areas for different group sizes, and the seating is comfortable. When we ate there, it wasn't busy, an hour before the last cable car. So the friendly waitress quickly took our drink orders. The prices are normal for places like this at €5/0.5l for Cokes and the like. The Jenner water at €3.80/0.5l is really very good. There are a wide variety of dishes to choose from, from snacks in the €4 range to hearty specialties costing over €30. We opted for the goulash soup for €10.50, and considering the large portion and the excellent flavor, you can't complain about the price with the view. It's fair. It took a little longer to pay, but it was still okay. Overall, a good experience; I'll be back next time.

The cheese dumplings with beef broth were very good and well worth the price of €9.90. We had a lovely seat on the shady terrace, but there were also sunny spots.

The food was delicious, especially the ham and cheese toastie. The view is fantastic, and the staff is friendly. The only downside was that the food arrived a little late, so the last people to arrive didn't get their food until the first ones had finished.

We ate at the Alm today after our wedding on the Jenner. Sebastian's team gave us a wonderful stay. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating and spoiled us. The food was divine. Thank you so much for that. Best wishes, Silvia and Horst Lucht

We visited the Jenneralm restaurant at Königssee and really enjoyed it. Excellent food and fast service. The value for money was absolutely fair. We felt at home. The real highlight, however, is the stunning view of the mountains from the terrace. With this panorama as a backdrop, the food tastes even better. A place you shouldn't miss when visiting the region!

We visited the Jenneralm twice during our mountain hike. The entire service was super friendly and extremely fast. The food was delicious and arrived at our table in a flash. Perfect!

We had incredibly delicious Kaiserschmarren! The best so far, and we've tried quite a few. 🫣 It was pricey, but the view and the taste of the food made up for it.

Good food with a beautiful view. We had chicken strips with baked potatoes, Jenneralm pancakes, Leberkäse (meatloaf) with fried potatoes, and Kaiserschmarrn (sweet pancakes). Everything tasted really good. The beer, too.

I had a lamb steak and a schnitzel here. Both were very tender and I absolutely loved them! The meat was perfectly prepared and the flavor was truly amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant and would gladly return!

Perfect! We had breakfast there with plenty of cheese, sausage, jam, honey, and chocolate spread. The wait was super friendly and gave us a few good tips. The wait was very short, and the prices were reasonable. You just have to keep in mind that everything has to be brought up there.

SUPER friendly service! All the waiters walking across the terrace seemed to be in a really good mood. We were served by a very nice Thai woman. Apparently, there are also people working here who speak little German, which I think is absolutely fantastic. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I wasn't expecting that in such a touristy place. Management is clearly on point!

We went up early for a "deluxe alpine breakfast." We received very friendly and courteous service. 😍 We lacked nothing, and I highly recommend enjoying it for a few hours. Thank you for the attentive service!!!🥰

Today (June 1, 2025) we visited the Jenneralm. An elderly gentleman, who was already in a rather gloomy mood, wanted to serve us. We wanted to order something to eat and drink and eat our food at the same time. The waiter then said that wasn't allowed. Apparently, the business doesn't want to serve customers and make money. As a businessman, I would fire such waiters immediately. Because the customer is king, and we wouldn't have bothered any guests with this (mind you, there were hardly any guests there). What's wrong with eating our meal at our table along with food ordered from Jenneralm? That day, the business lost two customers who would have left at least €60 with you. Please train your staff in service and take our feedback seriously; it's a free gift to you. If things continue like this, you'll soon have hardly any customers with your service! We had cheese dumplings and liver dumplings, both in beef broth. The cheese dumplings were truly delicious, and we'd happily recommend them; the liver dumplings weren't our cup of tea. The service was excellent, and everything went super quickly.

I have never experienced such unfriendly, rude service in my life. After we sat down on the sun terrace, I ordered a cappuccino. My partner and daughter STILL didn't want to order anything at this point and wanted to look through the menu again. When he was asked what he wanted and answered "just nothing for me, thank you," this lady rolled her eyes and simply ran away. No “all clear” “thank you” or any other phrase that should be standard for good catering staff. It was already clear to us that we wouldn't order anything here anymore, unpleasant atmosphere thanks to this lady. When we wanted to pay, she just said "that's 5.20" (no please) and asked if we would like to give a tip, I said no because she wasn't particularly friendly before, I didn't get any further because she interrupted me. She then criticized us in a completely unprofessional manner, saying we had been sitting here in the sun for an hour and ONLY drinking a cappuccino. We sat there for 30 minutes. Honestly, I have never experienced anything so rude, unfriendly and unprofessional. When the card payment (with the cell phone) didn't work straight away, she asked directly whether there was any money on the card... Her whole behavior, her tone... it consciously seemed very passive aggressive to me. My mood is in the basement, the day is ruined. 105 euros for the up and down journey on the Jennerbahn and then such an experience. We've been to the Jenneralm several times and have spent more money there than "just a cappuccino", but today was definitely our last visit there. I will also advise friends and family not to stop there. I also work with people every day, and I can't and wouldn't allow myself to do something like that. Worst service I have ever experienced. What a shame! I think a comment would be appropriate.

Went to the Jenner today and had a little snack at the mountain restaurant. I was satisfied with the food and service and the service was very friendly. The price-performance ratio is also right. Any time.

We had the Rießen oven potatoes and the Berchtesgardner Kasnocken. Both were very tasty. Vegetarian dishes are excellent on the menu, but this also includes fish. My husband was eating at Königssee at the same time, he also had Kasnocken, his portion was smaller and more expensive.😉

Great opportunity to strengthen yourself here. The ambience is upscale and invites you to linger. The absolute must if you are already up there to enjoy the beautiful Alpine panorama in peace and to visit the Jenner at the top.

Surprisingly excellent food and atmosphere. I say surprising because it's not often you find restaurants at elevation which check both the marks of good culinary skill and reasonable prices. One example of a restaurant that fails both marks is the one at Jungfraujoch. Conversely, Jenneralm has excellent food, fresh, very generous portions, and also great service. Grilled salmon trout was very fresh with great crisp skin. Their teacup is larger than some miserly restaurants' teapot! Apple strudel is better than many you find at sea level. Wish I could be back again if my travels took me to Berchtesgaden!
