Jenneralm in Schönau a.Königssee

I was at the alpine pasture today and, in addition to the view, I also ordered a coffee and a snack. The coffee was good and tasty. The fries were OK. Of course it's a bit steep for the price, but you'll have to accept that on the mountain. The staff was friendly, but they were more likely to be handled than served. So two stars deducted for service.

Super nice view from the panoramic terrace, modern, good selection of food. But unfortunately extremely expensive, so we only shared one yeast dumpling.

Great ambience and nice service. Great place. After the gondola ride, we had a small snack and coffee and cake. Everything was great. Everyone was happy.

If you know the lift and the Alm from before and go there today, you are horrified! This flair from before no longer exists. Here you can see what modernity and progress can do. There were 5 of us and we agreed: once and never again! The food wasn't bad, but it didn't leave us with a lasting memory.

Very nice terrace with a wonderful view. The service is good and fast. The food was average at best and way too expensive for the quality. The price cannot be justified by possible increased effort. On many alpine pastures, where supplies are very expensive, you eat better and cheaper.

We had a pre-booked breakfast for six people. From the prepared table setting to the service, it was a perfect experience. The price-performance ratio is justified. The staff was very attentive. The breakfast buffet offered at the table was extremely extensive and tasted very good. A good recommendation to start your day on the mountain.

Great view, great seating. Our chocolate cake wasn't such a hit. We would actually have preferred the Kaiserschmarren, but it is only available with raisins. From this I conclude as a customer that it must be a ready-made dough mix. Next time we'll try the soups.

What a wonderful place with a spectacular Alpine panorama. Sitting here in a deckchair in the sun and looking at the snow-covered mountains is simply fantastic. Our food was very tasty: a Kaspress dumpling soup and a fine, light and airy Kaiserschmarrn! Definitely one of our favorite places; ideal to stop here after a hike, especially in winter ☃️

On a great day like today there was a lot going on and it was practically overcrowded. So bring your time. But the view is fantastic. We ordered white sausage with pretzel and apple strudel, both of which tasted excellent.

The only positive thing was the panorama. Food was OK, but the price wasn't that good. After paying the bill, the price was rounded up as usual. However, that didn't seem like enough for the waiter and he left our table shaking his head and muttering to himself without saying "Thank you." When I asked whether the tip, which I gave voluntarily, was too little, the waitress immediately pulled out his wallet and shot my tip back onto the table. We will avoid this location on our next climbing tour, take care of ourselves and concentrate on the panorama, because it looks like no one “needs” it up there. Disappointing at this frequency...but probably because of that. Too bad. Addendum: However, the gentleman who served us food afterwards was a welcome encouragement. Rarely have I seen such a friendly smile.

Very overpriced: a tea cost €5. There was no oat milk or soy milk for the vegans who wanted a coffee. But the service was very quick and friendly.

The view from the terrace is of course fantastic and is also reflected in the prices. The Jenneralm is the mountain restaurant at the Jenner cable car and is in a very beautiful location - 180 degree view, with great seats and also lounging options and you can relax and unwind with the great view. Large menu with a lot of choice (also vegetarian), the service is also very nice and attentive, but the prices are from another star. I come from an overpriced ski resort in Austria myself but I don't know what justifies the prices here.. the new cable car and the chic probably but to exclude the people here like that is cheeky. We paid a hefty €66 for 2 coffees and 2 cheese spaetzle + small salad. Taste was ok but nothing extraordinary what you would expect for the price. Pure tourist rip-off. The view is really highly recommended, but it's better to take something to eat with you

After our hike we arrived at the alpine pasture very hungry. I had spaetzle with venison goulash for around 27 euros. I left the alpine pasture hungry. A large handful of spaetzle and 5 pieces of meat for the course is cheeky. The food tasted good

We ordered Kaiserschmarrn and coffee, it tasted really great, the selection of dishes is large and everything looks delicious. Fries were good (but not perfect)! I gave after a large portion and definitely got it. I'm very happy if the service has something to offer and can respond to requests. Also very calm and friendly :) Prices are normal restaurant level. View is priceless.

We stopped here after our hike at the top of the Jenner. Very attentive service immediately brought us a high chair for our baby. Food was delicious. It should be clear to everyone that you pay a little more in places like this. My pulled pork burger came to €22, which I think is okay in this atmosphere. The food was very tasty. Lovingly arranged. The service was top. We recommend. The only point of criticism that is debatable. Ketchup and mayo came in small jars. Which looked great. However, you can hardly get into the glass with the small, short fries. So you would either have to use steakhouse fries (in my opinion they would go even better with the burger) or serve the ketchup/mayo differently.

The Jenneralm is not a mountain hut in the traditional sense, but a restaurant at the Jenner mountain station. Here you have a wonderful view of Lake Königssee and are also well protected in bad weather. The food came very quickly. I had a liver loaf with egg and potatoes. The meat loaf tasted very good, but the potatoes with it were unfortunately a bit soggy and probably for convenience.

The view was really crazy, we climbed a bit further up the mountain via the left side, there you really had the perfect view

Clean restaurant at the mountain station with friendly service staff. The food was average and the soup tasted like nothing and neither the cheese press dumplings nor the liver dumplings were fresh. The places that had probably been around for a while had dark, dried out areas. Cheese spaetzle not bad but completely overpriced for the price of almost €17. Kaiserschmarrn greasy small portion for over €17 It is normal that you pay more at a mountain station. But here there is average cuisine that is not worth the price. It's better to eat better somewhere else in the surrounding area, there's plenty to choose from.

There are tables everywhere with dishes that haven't been cleared away. We sat down at a table that wasn't cleared away for half an hour. For a small meal + 3 rounds of beer we spent about 3 hours here with multiple questions about our food and drink. Some of the food also arrived incorrectly (including at many neighboring tables) and the drinks simply weren't there at all. Great view, good value for money. If the service had been more competent we would probably have drunk 3 more rounds, but then we would have missed the gondola. As an apology there was a round of schnapps and an incorrect food order on the house. Meanwhile there was a wedding party up here, maybe that was the reason, but the service in such conditions should still be reconsidered.

The view is very nice but the service and food is a disgrace When the soup came to the table it was already cold after I complained and there was no reaction from the staff and even though we said so, the soup and main course came to the table together, but it didn't taste good either and the prices were very overpriced

After the climb we took a break here. Very nice restaurant. Depending on the weather you can eat outside or inside. There are even deckchairs available outside. Toilets were also very clean.

Modernly designed Alm, friendly service in all languages, Food ok but nothing special either. Corona has claimed many victims, prices are skyrocketing, and the chef doesn't feel like he's from the region either. So up with the prisms and down with the quality. Unfortunately it's like that everywhere here.

You can't complain about the service and ambience. That was good, the view was unique. The children had fries and sausages for ten euros. The portions were enough for the children and us. Unfortunately, fries weren't anything special. The apple strudel was delicious but very small, and unfortunately the vanilla sauce wasn't nice at all. The price is way too expensive. My wife had dumpling soup which was great. All in all, too expensive for not good food. Be careful of the aggressive Alpine choughs! Tip: It's better to eat in the valley, where everything costs 2-3 euros less, but without the view.

I used to visit this restaurant my whole childhood. It was completely different style. It was traditional, mountain vibe, very fast service and nicer people. Now the concept is different-it is very big and modern. Service is slow. Completely poshy :(((

We had breakfast upstairs for our birthday, the service was great and fast, unfortunately the rolls were hard and probably from the day before… But the price was okay and the view on the terrace with the warm blanket made everything better. Unfortunately the gondola ride is very expensive, so we will probably only come back on a birthday.

Massenabfertigung und kein Gefühl des Willkommensein. Leider. Wir sind den Jenner hochgelaufen mit dem Ziel in der Jenneralm den Rest der familie zu treffen und dort zu essen. Dies würden wir anders machen wenn wir wüssten wie es wäre. Das Restaurant ist eine pure Massenabfertigung und hat mit einer Alm gar nichts mehr am Hut. Es ist auch kein Berggasthaus sondern einfach nur eine Bergstation mit grosser Kantine. Sehr Schade um diesen Ort, trotz des hohen Zulaufs kann man sich anders präsentieren. Wer zu Berg geht, muss da nicht hin. Fanden übrigens auch die, die mit der Bahn fuhren...

Man kommt bequem mit der Seilbahn 🚡 auf die Alm. Es fehlt oben das ursprüngliche Bild von Geborgenheit zu modern ausgestattet.

Wir waren gestern bei der Winetime am Jenner. Es war echt super und sehr gut organisiert. Sehr sehr gute Weine standen zur Auswahl, auf jeden Fall für jeden was dabei. Das Essen war auch hervorragend.

Limonde met citroen en munt. Er was geen munt te bekennen. Kost bijna 6 euro. Daarna de slechtste carpaccio ooit gegeten met een paar hele dunne plakjes vlees voor bijna 15 euro.

Everything tasted just fine, prices a bit high but fair for the location and service was very pleasant.

Jenneralm is a restaurant at the Upper (Berg) Station at Jenner Mountain near Berchtesgaden. There is a large indoor and outdoor seating area with nice views of the surrounding mountainside. They are open from 9.30am to 5pm daily and offer a fairly extensive menu of German food and drinks We made a brief stop here and enjoyed an apple strudel with whipped cream, glass of buttermilk and a coffee prior to setting off our a day of hiking between Upper and Middle Stations. Service was fine, prices a bit high but reasonable for the location and everything tasted just fine. We very much enjoyed the outdoor seating area, cool air and views. Would be happy to stop here again for a light bite and coffee if we were to visit Jenner again next time we are in the Berchtesgaden area.
