Pizzeria Lago in Schönau a.Königssee

We visited this restaurant on May 13, 2025. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to a sunny table. After a quick look at the extensive menu, we decided on shrimp with pizza bread for a starter and a large pizza with salad for the main course. The food was delicious and everything came quickly. Extrem leckere Pizza, super Salat mit Steak Nachspeisen (tiramisu und ein Kuchen) waren ebenfalls sehr fein. Die Zutaten und die Machart stimmen. Netter Service rundet das Paket ab. Sind mit nicht zu hoher Erwartungshaltung hier her gekommen und wurden positiv überrascht.

Schneller und super freundlicher Service. Wir kommen gern wieder. Die Holzofenpizza war super lecker. Das Ambiente richtig gemütlich, aufgrund von Regen mussten wir innen sitzen, was uns aber gar nicht gestört hat, da es so gemütlich eingerichtet war, wir haben uns direkt wohl gefühlt.

Best pizza in town. Stone oven pizza as it should be! It was so delicious! The waitress didn't want to include our food when ordering the drinks because he didn't know whether the food would arrive quicker than the drinks. We were a bit surprised at first, but after ordering our food it took less than 5 minutes and we had our delicious homemade pizza in front of us. The floor was nice and thick and airy. A little salty on the bottom for me, but really tasty. The service staff was very friendly to us and the service harmonized and worked together really well. The Pizzeria Lago shouldn't hide behind the Gasthof Seealm, because a visit there is great from start to finish! Highly recommended!

So actually from the outside it looked sort of standard boring, just not inviting. But we went in anyway, it was too cold outside for us. Inside it was so comfortable and inviting, very nice. The food was very good, we went there again the following day. Pizza and schnitzel highly recommended. Everything went quite quickly and the service is very good.

Disaster! The service was so bad. Waited forever for drinks alone. Food was okay but there's nothing more to say about service. As many times as you had to repeat that you wanted to pay🙄. We just wanted to get up and leave.

A real insider tip at the lake! :-) We were pleasantly surprised to find such great value for money in a tourist region. The prices were cheap, the portions were large and the food was delicious! The service was also great, the food came very quickly and everyone enjoyed it. Absolute recommendation!

Ambience 5✨. The food was great, especially the apple cake. Price-performance ratio 1A. The staff is very friendly. Unfortunately there were no fresh onions on the onion roast, which would have given another real taste experience. But as I said, the food was also really tasty. Dogs are allowed.

We had the steak - not only was it excellently prepared, but the price was unbeatable. We know something similar from Düsseldorf for twice as much! The atmosphere in the Seealm Lago is cozy and invites you to linger. The decor is tasteful, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the team is incredibly friendly - we immediately felt welcome. The location is also great: just a few minutes from Königssee, perfect for a stopover after a hike or a trip into nature. The logo is particularly impressive: the imposing bull with the Watzmann in the background, which looks like mighty wings, is a real eye-catcher and perfectly reflects the alpine power and tradition of the restaurant. Clear recommendation – we would love to come back!

Sunday February the 2nd. After taking the jennerbahn and admiring the beauty of the jenner mountain we were very hungry so we stopped by this restaurant and oh my god it was beyond expectations. Big thanks to the gitane waiter (i forgot your name) he speaks english french german and arabic 👍👍👍. Cosy atmosphere And the food oh my god we ordered 3 soups a tagliatelle and an amazing beef grill for 2 person. It was one of the best meals i had my entire life Keep up the good work 💪

Stunning, cozy, atmospheric place. With incredibly delicious dishes at an affordable price. I was on holiday with my husband in early January in Kennegzi. And when we found this wonderful cafe, we only went there for lunch or dinner. We ordered both the first and second courses. Very large portions, everything is very tasty, the prices are very pleasing. We took pizza home for dinner, we paid 9 € for a mozzarella pizza, in our city this would cost 13-14 €, but this is a resort town and close to a mountain and such a ridiculous price. In general, I was incredibly pleased with this establishment and when I come to this city again, I will definitely visit this cafe and it is the most delicious thing I have eaten in Germany recently)

The food is delicious, the beer is delicious, and the service is warm and friendly. A great restaurant. The barbecue, steak, and pasta are delicious. The food is original without too much sauce! Old people like it.

As expected, it serves tourist tastes (facilities). Prices are correspondingly a little more expensive than usual in rural Bavaria (also to be expected..) Service in the Alm wasn't so attentive today (there wasn't much going on, it would probably have been better in the pizzeria). Basically rather spicy cuisine (fries, salad). Pizza really good and generously topped (more on the oily and cheese-heavy side, but the taste is convincing!) Playground in front of the house looks great! Not really usable today because of snow… Recommendation: the tap water (also to be expected in this area ;)

Really anything but a standard pizzeria: the service is great and we even got a dish that was no longer on the menu, but was made to please us and it was really delicious. Be sure to stop by if you're in the area.

The food is fantastic. The Croatian specialties are particularly enjoyable. Everything is prepared fresh and with love. The prices are fair and absolutely reasonable. The portions are large and therefore fill you up well. The waiters are friendly, attentive and happy to give advice. An all-round successful experience!

Went here for dinner and were greeted warmly. The food was brought to our table quickly and it tasted so incredibly good. I ordered the Monte Carlo pizza and really enjoyed it. The only thing that bothered me a little was that the pizza wasn't cut, but I quickly took care of that myself. My companion had the Tortellini Fughi e Prosciutto, which was also delicious. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant was nicely decorated. I can only recommend it!

We recently visited Pizzeria Lago and overall had a very positive experience, so I give it a good four stars. The quality of the food was excellent. The pizza had a crispy base and plenty of toppings. The taste was really good – all the ingredients were fresh and the combinations on the menu were well chosen. I was particularly impressed by the beer: it was perfectly chilled and went wonderfully with the food. But what made this visit special was the great view. We were lucky enough to sit outside (under the umbrellas) and the view was really impressive. The atmosphere is pleasant and relaxed, perfect for a relaxing trip with friends or family. The only downside is that the prices are slightly higher compared to other pizzerias. The price is understandable for the taste and location, but not necessarily cheap. So if you're looking for a culinary experience with a view, you won't be disappointed here. All in all, a great choice for a special pizza night while enjoying the ambiance.

Excellent food, as all 10 of us confirmed. Whether it was pasta or noodles, everything was very good. The service was very quick and the food came quickly. In addition, the prices were absolutely reasonable. The atmosphere was also very cozy.

After about 20 km of hiking, you had to fortify yourself with something somewhere. This Tuesday only the “Pizzeria Lago” was open, everyone else nearby had a well-deserved day of rest. As you can see from the pictures, the store is just cozy and beautiful. The food arrived super quickly and tasted excellent. Staff super friendly and quick. We can only recommend it!

Were there at the end of August. Staff was very friendly. The quality of the food varied greatly. Salmon pasta and pizza were good, salad unimaginative with only salt and vinegar. However, the cevapcici were completely inedible, the meat was dry and tasted old, as if it had been reheated several times. I would even classify it as harmful to health

After an expensive snack elsewhere, we went for a walk around the area. Seeing tiramisu on the board outside, I couldn't resist since I was still feeling hungry. Went inside and thought about splitting a pizza and a tiramisu - until I saw Croatian food on the menu. So my better half ordered a pizza and I ordered the Croatian sampler. Couldn't eat it all if we still wanted to have the tiramisu that first caught my attention. So we ordered that plus 4 cL of limoncello. Neither disappointed in the slightest. Total bill was under €50. Oh, they also accept credit cards!

Great pizza even after a 10 minute drive to the campsite. We will definitely come here to eat next year. The Balkan plate was also good.

Delicious pizza and fast service

Nice place, good food, nice service

We ate there yesterday and it was very tasty and nice to sit down. There was nothing wrong with that. However, I found the plastic bottles lying around everywhere a bit disturbing. Apple juice was poured into it and the opening was cut off and turned over. Heaps of wasps and mosquitoes drowned miserably in there because they couldn't get out. Well, there were a lot of wasps there and I understand that it's not so pleasant while eating. But I find this method so impossible and disgusting. Wasps are protected and cannot simply be killed, and certainly not so cruelly. That is forbidden. Children ran past and looked at the whole thing in dismay, adults declared it to be completely normal and okay, they are the "nasty and evil wasps". To be honest, I didn't feel comfortable at all and it really ruined the cozy dinner. Find other methods, flat bowls with apple juice, they'll work too.

Their Balkan dishes are very good. The ambience was great. There was even something for little ones, a large playground, trampoline and also mini golf. However, a waiter named Mateo (I think) grabs all the attention with his gorgeous looks.

I've been there often and have never been disappointed. Great food and nice service. Like every year. :-) Everything great
