Pizzeria Lago in Schönau a.Königssee

The atmosphere was really great. There were only one other guests at one table, but I was there a bit later in November. Königssee isn't generally very crowded at that time of year. I imagine you need a reservation in the summer. The food didn't blow me away, but my companion really enjoyed it.

The pizza was heavenly! Incredible!

We were there for a meal, just the two of us. Great restaurant. Very cozy. Medium-sized portions. Delicious. The staff was sparsely present, and payment took a little while. We still managed to catch our bus though :)

We were staying at the campsite and wanted to grab a bite to eat. The restaurant was very nicely decorated with excellent food. We had the skewers and the mixed grill and were delighted with both the taste and the presentation. Afterwards, we also had a homemade tiramisu which was absolutely fantastic. Thank you!

We ordered a pizza and a burger. Pizza arrived first and burger after 10 minutes. I specified to staff that i want the meat well done and it was almost raw. I do not recommend.

I was there yesterday with two friends, and I have to say the pizza we ate was perfect. It had a nice thick crust, but it was very artificial. The staff was very professional and attentive. I can recommend it to anyone. Bravo

The decor features many hunting and livestock elements. It's very distinctive and has a unique sense of the times. The soup was delicious, served warm 😀. The vegetable soup was rich and flavorful. The white wine was not overly sweet and was a perfect pairing with the fish. Main: Grilled trout. The fish was delicious and tender without being dry. The pizza, with its generous arugula leaves and smoked meat, was also delicious. The tiramisu for dessert had a winey flavor and was delicious 😋. I loved this dining experience.

The restaurants in tourist areas are generally delicious. I had pizza, which was delicious because it was baked in a wood-fired oven. The Margherita wasn't great, but the Diavolo was delicious. It's a good place for a quick meal.

The service was friendly. We did have to wait a long time for our food, though. The starter and main course were brought out at the same time. After we pointed out that this wasn't normal, they took the main course back and brought it back after we'd finished the starters. So, it was a good solution. The food was delicious, and the service was very friendly. The terrace with a view of the mountains is also beautiful.

We visited this restaurant on a normal weekday and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. First, we were served the T-bone steak without a plate, while the bruschetta arrived later. The meat was inedible, poorly prepared, and tasted disgusting. When we wanted to return it, the chef himself came to the table. Instead of showing understanding, he said the meat was good and we had to either eat it or take it with us and pay anyway. After that, he simply took it back and never brought it back. Overall, the service was unprofessional, the way we were treated was disrespectful, and the food was of very poor quality. We are truly disappointed and cannot recommend this restaurant.

It's a disaster. The food is so-so, but that's not the worst thing. The service is absolutely awful; they don't understand anything even though they should because we don't speak Chinese. No tips, and the menu is poor.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner while on vacation. We didn't have a reservation, but we were still able to stay. We received a very warm welcome, and even our dog wasn't a problem. The food is delicious, and the service is very good. There's a very large terrace where you can sit comfortably. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant. We'd love to come back when we're on vacation in the area. 👍

As a Bavarian, I feel at home here. The ambiance is authentically Bavarian, and the food ranges from Bavarian, stone-baked pizza to Croatian cebapcici 🤣 however you want to spell it.

If you're visiting Königssee and looking for somewhere to eat, you should definitely choose this restaurant. The food was excellent at a fair price, the ambiance both inside and outside was lovely, and the staff were very friendly and in a great mood.

Two of us went out for pizza in the evening. We received a friendly welcome. Our order was taken promptly, and the drinks and pizza arrived quickly. The pizzas were a decent size and tasted good. The cappuccino and latte macchiato were also good. The hygiene was poor. The menus were dirty and should have been replaced long ago. Furthermore, the leftovers from our pizzas, which we wanted to have packed, were cleared away along with the used dishes from the neighboring tables. The cleared plate from the neighboring table was on top of our plate with the leftovers. It was clearly visible. We've never experienced anything like that before... When we asked about it, the server said our pizza leftovers were on the other, uncovered side of the plate... We both had different experiences. Also, you never take something to the kitchen to be packed at the same time as the dirty dishes from the neighboring table.

This was our second time here, and everything was perfect the first time. The food came quickly and the service was very prompt. This pizzeria is the top address for anyone craving delicious pizza at Königssee. It's located a 5-minute walk from the Königssee parking lot in front of the Jennerbahn valley station. The restaurant has its own parking spaces on a small gravel area between the restaurant and a miniature golf course. You can sit outside under large retractable awnings or in the very rustic dining room. The ambiance is fantastic, as are the pizzas on the menu. They taste delicious and the prices are reasonable. Good quality that you can taste. The service team is on top of the business, and the pizza chef knows his craft. On our second visit on the same vacation, we took the pizzas to go. That was also great. The pizzas were hot and delicious all the way to our accommodation in the Schwöb. You're doing a great job at the Lago. We'd love to come back for pizza at the Jennerbahn on our next vacation.

Waited 50 minutes for the food and then everything was carelessly thrown at us.

A beautiful restaurant, but unfortunately, nothing worked. I ordered the Pizza Regina, and after a 50-minute wait, a pizza with mushrooms and ham arrived. We had informed them that they were missing all the olives. Five minutes later, the pizza came back, and they simply threw six olives on top. A real shame. The almost €17.00 wasn't worth it.

The food was delicious and prepared quickly, despite the restaurant being busy. We visited twice in one week, and the second time, all four of us had our meals within five minutes. The staff were very friendly and humorous. The perfect place for vacationers.

We visited this restaurant in mid-July. We sat outside on the long wooden benches, which were unfortunately a bit uncomfortable and didn't dry out very well in the rain, so our clothes quickly got wet. The food was delicious, you can't complain, and it came very quickly, too. Unfortunately, the service wasn't so good. The staff were nice, but after we finished our first drinks, it took about 30 minutes before anyone asked us if we wanted another drink. Even though a waiter walked past our table several times and served us, the waiters were there. That was a real shame and left us a bit dissatisfied. Otherwise, there's nothing else to complain about, and you can really enjoy the various dishes.

My impression of this restaurant/pizzeria. The tagliatelle with zucchini and cream sauce was piled high with garlic cubes that weren't specifically listed on the menu and was practically inedible. The steak with herb butter had to be paid extra for the side dishes. The owner has apparently changed since our last vacation, because the food used to be very tasty here. We won't be visiting this restaurant again due to our bad experience. The cobwebs already hanging down the place could do with being cleaned. They're obviously not very clean.

The location on the Jennerbahn cable car is, of course, top-notch, and the prices are commensurate. The prices for the main course (schnitzel) were still reasonable, but charging €7 for two small slices of bruschetta isn't appropriate in our opinion.

There were four of us there. Unfortunately, my pizza wasn't delivered with the others' food. After I inquired, I was told it would be delivered later, as they had just received a large order. Unfortunately, they didn't bring this pizza until after the others had finished eating and their plates had already been cleared. Conclusion: I went home without a pizza.

A classic tourist restaurant, as you can tell from the menu, where they serve seemingly everything. From schnitzel to burgers and pizza to cevapi. I opted for the grilled meat plate based on a glance at the imprint, but found it very average. Others at our table had pizza, which was solid but not outstanding. As I said, a classic tourist spot. There's supposed to be something for everyone, but the taste isn't exactly amazing, and the service is just so-so, as they also serve food quickly. The atmosphere is okay, but I wouldn't come back.

I was here on a short trip to Königssee. Very friendly and pleasant service. For me, the pizza was absolutely amazing. I wouldn't have expected it in such a touristy place. The crust was excellent. Its flavor and consistency were outstanding, yet still super thin. The combination of crust and toppings was fantastic. Normally, this size is too much for me—the pizza was gone. The special garlic option consisted of finely chopped garlic and parsley, and there was plenty of it. Great. I'm thrilled with this way of making pizza.

The "Monte Carlo" pizza with egg and oregano wasn't cooked through in the middle, and the egg on top was still almost raw. Upon request, the pizza was cut, but not in the middle, so everything fell apart. I wouldn't recommend this pizza, or make sure everything is cooked through when buying it. The taste was good.

The food is highly recommended and made with good ingredients. We've eaten there several times in the last few days, and even dishes that separate the wheat from the chaff, like roast beef with onions or pasta with seafood, have turned out well. The chef also has a good touch with the staff.

Top-Location, super leckeres Essen, locker-freundliches Team und äußerst faire Preise. Besonders die nicht typisch deutschen Gerichte sind zu empfehlen, z.B. das Scampi-Nudelgericht oder die bosnisch-kroatischen Gerichte - aber auch die Pizzen schmecken hervorragend. Wir kommen wieder...

The food was good and the location is nice, but the service was not very good. It is understandable that they can be stressed or have a lot to do! However the server was annoyed with us from the start, and when we asked to pay it took 10 minutes, we had to catch a bus so I went inside to pay in the bar and the server sighed loudly. We spent a week's vacation in Schönau, and on our very first day, we went to this restaurant, and every day after that. We've rarely experienced such friendly and attentive staff. The drinks and food were served so quickly. Fabulous. Ambience + food + staff = 5 fantastic stars. We'll be vacationing here again just because of you...and well, also because of the mountains☺️😉

We arrived at 7:30 p.m., and the place was half full. The waiters were super friendly, but still very stressed, as they seemed somewhat overwhelmed. They took our orders, but the drinks arrived after half an hour. Then, 15 minutes later, they asked us what we had ordered, and then they entered it again. From then on, we waited another 45 minutes, but they only prepared the menu because it was a pizza. The more elaborate dish arrived 20 minutes later, and they recommended ordering only pizzas, because otherwise everyone would wait a long time. The pizza, unfortunately, wasn't particularly well seasoned and had very few toppings. The meat was very oversalted, but the sauce was still quite tasty, although everything tasted like just the sauce, and the meat was quite tough. So, yes, it's fine to eat there, but definitely bring your time and patience and don't have too high expectations, even if the price is very high.

The worst service ever! If you can’t handle the high season with lots of guests then leave it and close down the restaurant. We have been waiting 30 minutes for drinks, then 1,5 hour for food, and the Gulasch soup came with no bread anyway. Really disappointing. Avoid in summer season!

Penne Bolognese was really good. Vegetarian pizza is ok, tasty toppings while the bread was quite plain. Our kid had to wait 30 minutes for her ice cream.

Wir wollten nur schnell nach einem langen Tag noch sch etwas Essen. Die „Pizzeria“ war in laufweite also sind wir rein. Wir hatten Pizza und Salat und die waren beides sehr lecker. Die Karte bietet aber noch wesentlich mehr, hier gibt es zB Steaks(sahen am Nachbartisch sehr gut aus), Cevapcici, Burger, Pasta und vieles mehr. Denke da findet jeder was.

We saw this restaurant on the way back to Kongissee from Jennerbahn. The menu showed a good selection of steaks, so I was very enticed to try it. We showed up the next evening and were very impressed with the service and quality of the food. It is rare to get a good steak in Bavaria when you are an American traveler. I had a T-bone and my wife had a tenderloin. The were both very well prepared and rivalled anything you may find in the U.S. The service was good and the prices were reasonable. This is an "ala-carte" restaurant, but still reasonably priced. I never got a chance to try the pizza, but if their steaks are any indication, then their pizza will be fabulous. The view from the outside dining area is beautiful as is all of the area around Berchtesgaden. There was no waiting to be served and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

Unfortunately, it's not like it used to be. We've been coming here for fifteen years, even with a change of tenant, but the price/performance ratio has gotten really bad. Far too expensive (wine spritzer costs €10 with the cheapest wine). It feels like someone is trying to make a quick buck. Not with us anymore. We're locals and we've had our fill, as have some of our neighbors here in town, from Königsee and Schönau. If you want great pizza, go to Stefano at the town hall in Berchtesgaden; it's super friendly and super affordable.
