The view and the ambiance right on the lake are very nice. However, I found the food to be mediocre. The burger patty was lightly seasoned, the cheese wasn't melted, the bread roll was very dry, and the devil's sauce was most likely not homemade either.

The jacket potatoes were old and just reheated. Even though they cost €9 each. The staff was unfriendly. The atmosphere is very nice with a beautiful view of the lake. I won't be going back to this restaurant.

A very pleasant experience. I'm taking away one star because the kitchen closes at 8 p.m., which seems very early. The young staff is very attentive, quick, and very organized. The food is delicious; we really liked it. The location is unbeatable. If the weather is good, the terrace by the lake is wonderful. The mosquitoes are a bit annoying. Reservations are recommended, as it's always full.

Great views, subpar food, slow service

The food was okay, but unfortunately, most of the items were almost certainly convenience foods. Considering you're easily paying €20-30 per person, I find that a bit disappointing. I can easily buy ready-made potato pancakes, spaetzle, burger buns, and fries at the supermarket. We were there with a larger group and, as a result, had a wide selection of dishes.

It's a fantastic gem of a restaurant. The food is authentic, Bavarian, full of flavour, the portions are very good and reasonably priced. The staff are very pleasant and extremely helpful, willing to alter the menu to aid those with food allergies. We attended as a group of 9, booking a table. However the restaurant was not overcrowded so we would have been OK to just drop in, but I would advise booking so as not to be disappointed. The positioning on the edge of the Konigssee is a big added benefit to end your day here. We will be back.

Very good service despite Königssee being a tourist magnet, and very good food. We ate there twice during our stay, once with family, and everyone was satisfied.

Located right on the tip of Lake Königssee. A short walk from the parking lot. We reserved a table a few days in advance. The food was good; we enjoyed it. Highly recommended.

We had dinner here after visiting the konigsee and the boat ride. The food was good. The place was really crowded, but we got a table outside. It was really nice to sit outside and eat while enjoying the views, even though it was cold. The staff was very friendly.

There were two waiters serving both indoors and outdoors, it wasn’t crowded at the time. We had waited for any of them to take our order for 15 mins before left. We waved hands, made eye contact, said „Entschuldigung“ to attract their attention, but they simply ignored us. While we were waiting, we noticed that other tables were struggling with the same problem, so we decided to leave.

Very flexible with food requests outside of the season, very hospitable and you feel at home

Overall, 5 stars! The cheese spaetzle, salads, and fries were excellent. The baked potatoes were initially served chilled, but then immediately remade without even asking. This dish was also very tasty! The desserts were also fantastic :) Service gets a plus point for the lightning-fast, proactive response to the cold potatoes. Otherwise, I see the greatest potential here! It seems as if the wait staff have already experienced a lot of negative customer behavior and have had various discussions – even the second page of the menu lists a few "communication rules" (absolutely sensible, mind you!). As a result, there's a lack of genuine, joyful, customer-focused service. Everything is very structured and professional, but not very welcoming. If you don't need that kind of thing, you won't find the service particularly bad. The ambiance inside is fitting, typically traditional, and the view from the window is fantastic!

Warm and attentive service – especially with children, simply exceptional! A waiter with genuine sensitivity and a whole lot of heart. I'm lost for words – thank you so much!

This restaurant is right next to lake königssee. So, you can enjoy delicious food with a beautiful view here. Tried their soups which were distinct and yummy. Excellent quality fish, served with a tasty sauce. They also serve very good salads.

Beautifully located restaurant. The gentleman who served us was also very friendly. Now for the but. We didn't like it so much. Although we asked about the parking ticket, which was €9, we weren't told that a certain amount would be deducted from the bill. The waiter didn't mention it, which wasn't exactly polite. Another lesson learned.

Four of us spontaneously dropped in on a Sunday afternoon. We received a very friendly welcome and were able to choose a table, as it was still quite early and there was space available. The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly. We'd be happy to come back. A definite recommendation...

The restaurant's location is fantastic. We enjoyed delicious food on the terrace, right next to the lake. The service was excellent.

I find it quite strange why a parking ticket can be redeemed as a voucher for a restaurant like Echosrüberl with a minimum of €20 in food? A parking ticket costs €9 from the parking meter, and mind you, it's an unguarded parking lot with no restrooms, etc. Speaking of restrooms, these are reserved for guests at Echostüberl only, so it's no wonder the green area in the parking lot is used as such. You can see used tissues and sometimes even leftovers everywhere. 💩 It's also questionable why the daily rate of €9 is also the minimum amount, and why you can't select an hourly rate as such? This reeks of a rip-off. Perhaps a TV report on this would be helpful to expose the whole thing.

Nice restaurant right on Königssee. Very friendly service. The curd strudel was excellent! There is a large parking lot in front of the restaurant. The price for the day ticket (8€) will be deducted from the invoice!

Due to a closed event that evening, there was only outdoor seating. I only received pillows and blankets upon request - at a maximum outside temperature of 8 degrees. The other guests didn't ask about this and therefore froze. The service was otherwise friendly and quick. The portion of Obatzda was huge, so I couldn't choose any dessert. It was tasty, including the asparagus soup. Sitting directly on Lake Königssee was very nice and relaxing. Price-performance ok.

A beautiful restaurant in a great location. The staff was super friendly and very quick. The food, however, could be better. Unfortunately, the salad had no taste despite the dressing. The meat when roasting pork is very firm :-(. The sauce called devil's sauce is a cocktail sauce and rather tasteless. Great restaurant but unfortunately the price/performance ratio doesn't match the food.

The food is children's portions. A normal man won't get enough of it. It used to be different. I don't go there anymore. You get twice as much food everywhere

The advertised Echostüberl “XXL Burger” was only XXL in price (19.50 euros)! You had to look for the meat patty in the wheat bun, it was so small. The two types of fries listed were actually a small portion of wavy fries including 4 sticks of sweet potato (?) fries. Here the view of the lake is apparently added to the price. If you just want to eat burgers, you should go straight to the nearby burger shop, where you can get the burger for half the price. Ambiance isn't everything dear Echostüberl.

The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant — the interior design is charming and cozy, and the ambiance is warm and inviting. The food was quite good as well: flavorful, generous in portion size, and reasonably priced, which makes it a great value overall. However, there were two things that left me confused. First, the restaurant offers a “family plate” that, according to the menu, is only available to families with children. I’m not sure whether this is due to the portion size or for some other reason, but as adult friends dining together, we were told we could not order it. I found this restriction puzzling, and it would be helpful to know the purpose behind it. Second, we had an uncomfortable experience with one of the staff members. She asked twice whether we were ready to order. The second time, when we still needed a little more time to decide, she pursed her lips and walked away without offering any assistance. When we eventually tried to order the family plate, we were told it wasn’t available to us. We then needed a few more minutes to make a new decision, but she returned shortly and informed us we had only five minutes left to place our order because the kitchen was closing. We hurried to order within the time she gave us. Interestingly, we saw another table placing their orders more than 10 minutes later. That inconsistency left us quite confused and somewhat uncomfortable.

Very nicely located right on the lake. The seating outside offers a beautiful view of the lake, while inside you can enjoy a cozy hut feeling. Service is very friendly, warm and nice. The food is very tasty! We were here 2 evenings in a row - let's see, maybe it will be 3 😉 Definitely a clear recommendation 😀

The food was OK, but nothing special. The portion could have been more generous for the price (compared to other restaurants in the area). Long wait for dessert during "normal operation". On a positive note, I would like to mention that taking a dog with you was not a problem.

Food was not good, hair in the wild garlic soup, starter plate covered with a ready-made cocktail sauce, mushroom cream schnitzel was dry, fish plate with side dishes was unsalted and also dry. Charging just under 6 euros for a beer just because of the location and a total of over 40 euros per person is ridiculous, then you should also offer good quality food.

I ordered a “Vitaminsalad” in this restaurant, and found there a caterpillar 😓 If they don’t wash their vegetables, means I can get any infection from food here. Be careful!

The Echostüberl in Kaisersmarn is a great place with a large terrace and a beautiful view of Lake Königsee. The dishes, such as the roast, the schnitzel and the cheese spaetzle, were very tasty. The coffee and beer also tasted good. The prices are slightly higher, but the friendly and nice service makes up for it. Overall, a recommended place for a relaxing stay!

Yes... it was closed! Company vacation! At Corona time there was a lot of screaming, now it's just been closed for a month! There are still some holidaymakers in the region now!

There is one star for the great location and the lady in service. Three stars deducted for the convenience classics with microwave character. Not recommended.

Been there twice, twice so thrilled

We went there for dinner on New Year's Eve and were welcomed with champagne. There was a fire bowl outside where you could warm yourself and drink the champagne before going inside. The staff welcomed us in a friendly manner and served us, so once again a huge thank you to the staff for doing such a great job on Sivester to ensure the guests had a lovely evening. The ambience is what you would imagine a parlor to be, just to feel good. Unfortunately, in this case a point was deducted for the food because the price-performance ratio was not right for every dish. I had the Müller-style brook trout, which was very, very good and can only be recommended. There was a point deducted for the veal because given the price of 30 euros and what came with it, you expected a little more and the seasoning was a bit sober. But overall it was a very nice evening. If you would like to eat at the Echostüberl on New Year's Eve, you should make a reservation in good time.

Ate fish fondue here for the second time after 2023. It was very tasty, the service was great and the price was fair. What more could you want?

The food was okay. Typical Bavarian hearty cuisine. Portions were decent, but unfortunately my meat was so overcooked that it was almost inedible. Ambience with the view of the Königssee 10 out of 10.

Highly recommended! Although it was quite full at 1 p.m., we managed to get a seat straight away, even without a reservation. The service was very attentive. The food was very tasty and the portion size was perfect. For the very little ones, there is also a good changing facility in the women's toilet.

Unfortunately everything has been lost. The map like it was 5 years ago and everything on fast fast fast. Table next to the toilets wasn't great either

Lovely indoor deco ! A bit out from all the other restaurant but SOOO worth the extra few steps. Food is great we had one beef dish, one fish and one chicken and all super nice ! Really recommend and service is fast !

Unfortunately the waiter was here on Saturday, November 30th. not very customer oriented and very incapable of criticism. After feedback on the Kaiserschmarn, which tasted like an omelette without any flour, we were informed that the three other guests had not complained. Very unprofessional and the completely wrong way of dealing with criticism. When the bill was asked, the waiter clearly looked at the full plate and had no interest in asking if anything was wrong. After the dish could no longer be canceled and we accepted it kindly, it was still explained in a continuous loop that complaints had to be reported in advance, as if the customer had to know how the cash register system worked. Very unnecessary behavior, as the restaurant initially attracted positive attention and the other four dishes were very tasty and you left almost 80 euros on the table. Even if the catering industry is not without its problems, the professional acceptance of friendly and objective criticism is always part of it!

Went to eat in the Echostüberl for a short detour after the tour of Königssee. The ambience is great and it is rustically furnished. I chose a plaice fillet. Unfortunately there was too much of the breading and it was baked too much. I can therefore only recommend the court to a limited extent.

A little away from the hustle and bustle of Lake Königsee, a wonderful inn directly on the shore with a unique view. The waitresses are pleasantly friendly and attentive. The quality of the food is impeccable.

Super nice, rustic restaurant right on Königssee. Very friendly staff and the family offering is particularly noteworthy. Here you get a huge platter with a large selection (cheese spaetzle, sausages, chicken wings, chicken nuggets, schnitzel and fries) and all at an unbeatable price. This will feed at least 2 adults and 2 children.

We actually only went to the restaurant because the parking fees from the parking lot in front of it could be used as a credit. In the end we were very satisfied, drank coffee and ate desserts such as yeast dumplings, apple strudel and quark strudel. There is a great view of the Königssee.

The food is delicious, but there will be a lot of bugs attracted by your delicious food in the outdoor seating, so remember, outdoor is only suitable for drinking, it is better to eat indoors

Location directly on Königssee. We know friendlier service staff. The chef will be doing his guests a big favor if he no longer frys the meat in the pan for too long. But the waitress wasn't interested. Too bad we won't come back. There are significantly better restaurants in the surrounding area!!!
