McDonald's Restaurant in Freiburg im Breisgau

Never shop or eat there!! I ordered via Lieferando. The order was incomplete, so we called there and the employee was very unfriendly and simply hung up. We then called again and were not offered any compensation. We spent so much on it that we had nothing. Eating there is also not recommended. Really a shame

The food is not bad, the problem is that when I went I spent about 20 minutes waiting for a worker to finish talking to a customer and it wasn't about the product. You have to bring a translator because the girl doesn't understand English and nothing happens, but she gave me some faces when I looked for a translator for what I wanted. When I arrived my potatoes were all over the bag. I thought the criticisms were very exaggerated but no.

1 star because we can't give 0!! The fries are soaked in oil, you could take two sips from the box once you finish the fries. The Burgers are dry, the bread is old and too rotten. The staff is unpleasant and doesn't care about the well-being of the customer. The menus are not like in other Macdos and it is not found on the Macdo app, it looks like a fake that is not legal. Drugged and smelly homeless people regularly pass by the tables to collect leftovers and empty drinks. Even if you are hungry, don't go there.

Employees are incredibly slow considering it's a fast food restaurant. Plus, they don't know much about coupons.

Terrible only the employee at the checkout was great. Eat lukewarm to cold. In 10 minutes 2 junkies chatting stupidly from the side. Absolutely nothing for a visit with children. The employee just stands around stupidly and laughs instead of doing something. The main thing is that he doesn't have to move. Horrible store never again

Unfriendly and slow staff - McFlurry was handed to me warm (appropriately melted)! 15 minutes after ordering.

Burgers actually suck! No salad on it, almost no sauce, just slapped together carelessly. The Big Mac used to be the best burger, now it's just crap! Service ok but the quality is 0!

I hope MDs (macdonalds) finally finds a solution to the really bad conditions in this branch. .... It's just terrible! Everything in the bowl and on the table are the remains of the bowl, the tables are dirty! I can't imagine that in the kitchen, what conditions are the preparation of the bowl. In the toilet they charge 1 euro for what you enter.

Absolute rubbish I buy Bic Mac 4 times and only have meat on them once, I paid for 2 per burger

Unfriendly staff, no personalization of products and no app/counter ordering possible. The burgers are made on hold and you are served a sticky, lukewarm lump. Never again and one star is still too many.

Yesterday I was at the McDonald’s at Freiburg main station with my son around 1 p.m. We ordered a Happy Meal with six chicken nuggets via the app. Unfortunately, the employee simply threw the food into the bag carelessly and the nuggets were also missing. When I asked again, they were thrown in the bag too. The fries were spread out in the bag because everything was packed carelessly. The staff was unfriendly and seemed to have no interest in good service. The tables were dirty and everything seemed unkempt. The nuggets were totally dry and too dark. This was the first and last visit there for us.

First the coupons in the app didn't work and then I got the wrong burgers.

Really unfriendly employees, I wouldn't be surprised if there were cockroaches running around there. There's food on the floor everywhere and you don't have to wipe the cracks clean once if something gets dirty. The cooling barriers are open. That something like this can continue. I actually wanted to eat away but with such staff and condition...

Food was disgusting. It tasted strange and not as it should. It was also cold and didn't look particularly appetizing. Seats are tattered and dirty. Even the cola doesn't taste normal. You really lose your appetite. Staff was fine, could speak a little louder and more clearly. The cashier system does not scan the codes either. Not recommended. You have to know.

Everything ready beforehand. Super cold. No kiosk and you can't communicate in German. You cannot order several items at the same time, pay for each individual item and then again, etc. I would rather die from hunger than from stress. Why can't you give 0 star?

The ABSOLUTE worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been too. And I’ve been to this particular location a few times. Apart from BASIC menu items (special fries, iced tea…) not available even though displayed on the menu, the service is just not up to standard, at all. The burgers are poorly assembled and ingredients seem super unfresh. Fries are dry and not crisp. The restaurant is not clean, almost every spot and booth is dirty. McDonald’s corporate please review this location ASAP.

They do not have self order option. They do not accept online order and the staff are not familiar with the app. They did not let me use my Mc Donalds app reward points or offers. Very disappointed with the organisation

Took way too long for fast food

I was there with a girl, we ate, after half an hour we shit ourselves, after another half an hour the girl was taken away by an ambulance

First a correction: Contrary to the statement of a review posted relatively high up here, it is NOT (!) a “standard McDonald’s with a drive inn and payment terminals”. There is no drive-in or terminals. The Mc Donalds located at the main train station does not take part in promotions and coupons from the Mc Donalds app are not accepted. I ordered 9 Chicken Mc Nuggets to take away and unfortunately only realized when I got home that there were only 6 in the package. I wasn't given a receipt either.

Monday lunchtime, 5 people in line, ordering 2 cheeseburgers took over 30 minutes. The staff behaves like they are in a trance, I have never seen anyone work so unmotivated and slowly.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! The employees are incompetent, when there was a problem with scanning the code the employee simply said to go to another register without giving the receipt or adding coke to the order. I have been to this facility many times and constantly had problems, today was my last day.

Rude staff, poor knowledge of German and very bad food, with severe stomach pain and nausea… not recommended.

Very, very rude staff. I stood in line and waited for 10 minutes. The person taking the orders was very slow because he had to attend to the food and the line at the same time. As a result, the people who were originally in line were simply ignored! This is truly incomprehensible and unforgivable! I was rushed forward 3-4 times and in the end I couldn't place my order. This is the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. The potatoes are raw and not salty, I ordered a medium vanilla milkshake, and they gave me a small chocolate one. I ordered food to take away, it was delivered on the spot. The service is bad, there is not even an electronic menu. DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!!

We were here again for once and have to say the chicken burgers have become smaller and there was very little salad on them. In terms of taste, everything was a disaster. Like always, everything has become expensive. I'm still surprised that it's still open every day

The service is very slow, they always have a line and I think they should introduce some self checkout counters in this McDonald’s. Because whenever you go, you always have to stand in line. It’s at the train station so it should be fast because people are there to catch trains.

The following incident, today 04/06/24, 5:20 p.m.: I, female, 60, traveling alone, just ordered a cheeseburger and fries from a dark-haired saleswoman. Paid, took the food from the tray. Completely. I wanted to sit outside in the sun. Now the saleswoman saw the EMPTY TRAY and me on the way OUT. Shouted after me loudly...Hello, hello, don't you need the tray (as I said, I'm almost out of the door empty tray!?). So I replied: "What kind of stupid question is that?" NOW I was insulted very harshly by a customer. Me: Please get out." And I finally went to the door. Another employee shouted after me. But I ignored that and left. I was hungry and with a suitcase, just back from vacation.

Extra v. d. Traveled to Switzerland to d. 2 Kaulitz menus to try. When we ordered the gentleman looked at us strangely as we both ordered. He didn't know what the menu included. He also knew almost no German, so... communication was very difficult. We unpacked our menus at the table, which had not been cleaned for a long time. For k...., Hamburger salad very limp and already brown. We didn't get any curly frise, but instead we got fries that weren't tasty. And chicken nuggets were nowhere to be found either. Normally there would have been a milkshake, which was nothing, but a second cola, which also had a strange taste. Never again!!!

I ordered something from McDonald's. I wanted ketchup. I got mayo. Unfortunately, some of the employees don't understand German. Why don't you have screens where you can order food yourself? I think it would be better. On March 18th I ordered a double pack of menu. I didn't get any free socks. Long waiting times Fries not crispy

Some of the employees were friendly, but why isn't this McDonald's equipped with these screens? The food tasted very bad, as if it had been fished out of the trash can. There were also things in the food that I have no idea what they were doing there. After eating I had a very bad stomach ache. So I'm never going there again!

Food was cold, staff unfriendly

Well first off, the service was horrible. Didn't understand much and somehow my cheap coupons didn't work while an expensive order did. Also the ice cream machine was broken. I had to order everything ontop of the coupon without the decreased price, which was horrible. The toilets costed money and the seat somehow didn't exist? The locks were also ripped off. Not to mention, some lady was shaving infront of the doors. The seats at the dining table were damaged. There were no ordering screens whatsoever. Overall, the worst McDonald's ive been in. The food however was pretty typical.

The worst McDonalds in my opinion. There are currently promotions again where you can get something extra. I specifically asked if they had the promotion, yes they did. Food bought, paid for, socks missing. We didn't... I'm not getting the promised item or my money back?!... I feel ripped off and it wasn't the first time. In addition, that's not the only thing that doesn't work here all the time, keyword ice machine, there are probably a lot of things that aren't part of the service here.

Today we were at MC Donald's Freiburg Hauptbahnhof and we couldn't unpack anything disgusting that they had packed for us.. everything was cold, dry and the beacon smelled.. just disgusting.. can't recommend the place there👎 It's a shame about the money 20 euros isn't exactly little either 💰 ..👎👎👎👎

I would prefer not to give any stars at all! Yesterday I was eating there with friends and I thought my citizen tasted pretty dry and strange. A friend of mine had ordered the same citizen, he confirmed it. After a few bites he realized that he had been given moldy bread and after that we lost our appetite!! We will never go there to eat again!! As compensation he got everything fresh again + extra apple turnovers, but that's still an absolute no go! Please check your food before you enjoy biting into it.

I was in the toilet, when I went out I was provocatively insulted by the employee (cleaning man) in front of the toilet door, with the word: *thank you* in an extremely rude, provocative tone. And that just because I didn't have any cash with me?? I'm digital, it's not even a must + the toilet wasn't even clean?😂 totally disgusting, and he wants money? In addition, the milkshake & ice cream machine was (broken). 🙄

Nice medium-sized McDonald's in Freiburg main station. Space is a bit poor, but ok. Nice and friendly team in the store.

I only ate one McFlurry, but it was great👍😊. Ambiance could be a bit better, but it's pleasant. The service was also good, but the employees looked a bit bored, as if they needed someone to motivate them. Toilet defect. Excellent....

I've been living in Freiburg for a year and a half and every time I went to McDonald's at the train station I got cold food and fries. Tables are rarely clean. Today I was really annoyed.

McDonald's is always good for a quick snack or when you're really hungry. It's tasty, cheap and quick to eat. Perfect for bridging the waiting time at the train station and being warm

Schlechte Hygiene, unfähiges Personal und Essen alt. Milchshake der nach Käse schmeckt. Dringend Lebensmittelüberwachung bzw. Ordnungsamt vorbeikommen...

Sehr lange Wartezeit und nur eine Bedienung und das am Bahnhof zur Hauptreisezeit. Mineralwasser gab es auch nicht, da muss ich zwei Sterne abziehen.

Ambiente und Service war normal wie man es von MC Donalds gewohnt ist. Nur waren die Burger leider schon Hart, die Burger lagen glaube ich schon länger dort oder die Brötchen waren zu lange im Ofen. Ich habe zwar ein neuen Burger bekommen aber wurde belächelt das es ja nicht so sein würde, auch die neuen Burger waren hart. War um 2:30 Uhr dort. Leider kann ich es nicht empfehlen.

Leider etwas heruntergekommene Filiale. Ist die einzige Anlaufstelle weit und breit wenn der Zug ausfällt und am WE. Unsaubere Plätze laden eher zum Verlassen der Filiale ein.

I love the vegetarian menu, most countries don’t have this so it was my first time having McDonalds as a vegetarian in 10+ years. It was soo tasty. I got the McPlant burger, 6 pc plant nuggets, and small fries. Was about 14€ so a bit pricy for fast food. I did have to wait in line a bit like other reviewers said. It was a very late weekday night, I maybe waited 7 minutes to order. It takes so long because the people who take your order are also the ones preparing the food. This system could be improved. And yes, this place is comically dirty. I actually laughed when my shoe almost came off because the floor was so sticky. Also had to search a bit to find a booth without oily seats and tables. High review is really only because of the vegetarian offerings.

The McD menu in Germany was too small compared to Singapore McD. I was surprised by the little menu. The food was good. Service need to improve

The place is not that bad guys c’mon. I visited it while I had to wair for a connection 4 hours, and had the chepest breakfast in the station (scrumbled eggs, bacon, orange juice and a big coffee) for 7€. Considere the place has normally few employees (that’s mc donalds business model) so try to not put the blame on the employees who might being also underpaid. As a gut und güngstig option, i can say im sayisfied, and also in the app you can get big discounts!

Das Essen war in Ordnung doch eine Freundin hat die Falsche Bestellung bekommen und bei einer war der Burger abgebrannt. Eine andere Freundin hat den richtigen Buger bekommen doch nicht so wie gewünscht!

Sehr schmutzig in dem Laden und Mitarbeiter nur genervt und unhöflich.
