I usually really like going to this McDonald's, but today I was very disappointed. I ordered food for myself and my girlfriend, and my girlfriend was expecting a delicious Long Chicken. Instead, she received a Long Chicken with rotten lettuce. According to the employee, it was freshly prepared, and I told him I either got my money back or I wanted a new one. Of course, I understand they have to be quick, but I still think they should pay attention to the preparation methods.

I just got back from partying and wanted to treat myself to some awesome curly fries with sour cream and a spicy McCrispy, but guess what? They don't have spicy... Okay, then curly fries, but they don't have those either... Well, at least they have sour cream, but they DON'T have that either... Next time I guess I'll just get a kebab 😔

Just another McDonald's. Unfortunately, the cleanliness left much to be desired: trays of food were left on the tables, and some people sat at several tables without ordering anything, creating a real lack of space. It was quite unpleasant. On the other hand, the service was impeccable: the person who took our order was flawless despite our limited English. The service was quick and efficient; kudos to her and thank you to the team.

Worst McDonald's EVER! The cashier said there was only ONE Big Morning and we had to fight for the second one (we'd been waiting for 20 minutes), and I don't even want to start on the missing nuggets.

The first McRib in ages that was piping hot. Incredibly delicious, the rest... well, they're geared towards travelers passing through.

That was truly the worst McDonald's visit ever. The staff were extremely unfriendly, especially an Indian man in his mid-40s and a young man, I think Kurdish, around 30. They were incredibly rude and I felt threatened. No smiles, no greetings, just annoyed faces. You felt like you were just bothering them. The food was an outrage: the burger was rock hard, the fries soggy and cold, and everything looked like it had been sitting around for ages. Absolutely awful – it completely killed my appetite. Never again!

-10 stars, actually. It's supposed to be a free Teen Time figure with every Happy Meal, but my daughter didn't order the Friend Meal this time. She didn't get the figure with this Happy Meal, and that's outrageous here at Freiburg train station.

We need to change this McDonald's for something else, where to do the petition?

The food was cold!!! Very dirty and unhygienic!! Three of us ate there. Afterward, everyone felt sick at home, with stomach aches and nausea.

I don't get very far and unfortunately often have to linger at the train station, often hungry and craving a burger. However, getting a warm burger here requires some luck. Today I got two cold, soggy burgers in one day. With the second one, I could immediately tell that nothing was warm in the bag. After I pointed out to the employee that the burger was cold, I was rudely told, "How cold is the burger without even looking!" With all due respect, this is outrageous and unfortunately happens so often that I feel like I'm even posting my second review... It's an achievement that I'm taking the time here, probably for nothing... To all those who actually read this and have considered it: No, there's food everywhere around here, probably cheaper and healthier anyway :D With that in mind, enjoy your meal.

I think it's a real shame that German isn't spoken in a business like this. They only speak the local language (i.e., a foreign language). Even though I've been there myself, the only thing people do at the checkout is mock and laugh at customers, and the checkout process should be more hygienic. The store could be completely renovated.

There are several McDonald's in Freiburg, but paradoxically, this one at the train station is the best. And its biggest advantage is the staff, who are always happy to greet you. I come back again and again.

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to: unfriendly staff who barely spoke German, warm Coke, and lukewarm milkshakes...

was on a trip to Freiburg with my class. My friends and I were hungry and thought, why not go to McDonald's? A terrible idea. The staff were rude, disorganized, and we had to wait almost an hour. The food? Horrible, tasted old, and the portions were way too small for the price. And now comes the best part: My three friends and I got food poisoning; it was awful. Not even going to start on the toilets, top 3 worst places I ever was in my life. So, if I could, I wouldn't even give it a single star. I don't normally have anything against McDonald's, but this place is just awful. If I could, I'd give it 0 stars. Never again!

Absolutely terrible McDonald's. There are no ordering kiosks; instead, you have to order from employees at the counter, and they often don't really understand what you want. Then the burgers you get are often already cold or otherwise inedible because they've been sitting in the display for too long. The tables and chairs throughout the restaurant are sticky and smeared with ketchup, there are fries all over the floor, and everything is dirty.

A trip with a children's group to the Freiburg Planetarium. Pre-ordered food. All the children were full and happy. Thanks to the patient and hardworking service team, everyone was happy and stress-free.

Unfortunately, we are not satisfied with the service at this McDonald's. The restaurant is located right next to the train station, which means it gets very busy. Nevertheless, you get the feeling that the staff is often unprepared for this volume. Certain food or drinks are often missing from the menu – whether food or drinks. This is especially noticeable with new items. It would be desirable for the staff to recognize when a product is particularly popular after the first few days of sale and order larger quantities accordingly. This would avoid disappointment when you want to order something and it simply isn't available. An odd situation also arose when you tried to order an iced tea. We ordered an iced tea as usual. The employee went to the vending machine, pressed the button, and we could clearly see that the iced tea was coming out of the vending machine – so it was available. Nevertheless, she told us that it wasn't available at the moment. There was no explanation given, and we didn't understand the situation. Ultimately, we had to choose another drink. Furthermore, the tables are almost always dirty. Of course, we are aware that this is a fast-food restaurant at the train station and that it is frequented by many people. However, it seems that cleaning is infrequent. The tables are sticky, often with stains or spilled drinks, and the floor is also frequently dirty. More frequent cleaning by the staff would be very important here. It also seems that this restaurant lacks security personnel. While we were standing in line, strangers approached us several times and asked if we could pay for their food. This is not the first time and creates an unpleasant atmosphere. It would be desirable for guests to be able to queue in peace. Unfortunately, the condition of the restrooms is also very poor. At least in the women's restrooms, the toilets are regularly clogged, the place is dirty, and the door locks often don't work or work poorly. This is truly unpleasant and creates a very bad impression. We understand that this restaurant operates under the special conditions of the station, but we would like to see more attention paid to cleanliness, comfort, and organization.

Simply enchanting. Numerous after-after-after parties have been held here. But beware of the hot nuggets, which have often burned my delicate fingers! This McDonald's is steeped in history (at least for me), filled with many personal memories, and continually invites you to spend romantic evenings under flickering neon lights. A solid 7/10 in the Schmaggo heaven, even if the restroom staff weren't exactly friendly today. You can't please everyone!

My cousin said he was on a juice cart

The service was bad, and no one spoke German very well, so I didn't get what I wanted. I waited a long time for my food, and it was cold, too. The seating is very poor, and it's dirty everywhere. They should call the MC "mc Schmutz" (mc filth). I definitely can't recommend the MC at Freiburg Central Station.

The McDonald's on Bismarckallee in Freiburg is super centrally located – directly across from the main train station, making it perfect if you're looking for a quick bite to eat on the go. The ambiance is typical of McDonald's: more functional than cozy. There's plenty of seating, but depending on the time of day, it can get quite crowded and noisy. If you're looking for a quiet place to eat, this is probably not the place for you – but it's okay for a quick snack. The food is classic McDonald's: you get what you expect. Burgers, fries, nuggets – all of the usual quality. If you like it, you'll be satisfied. A particularly positive aspect: The ordering kiosks work well, and orders are usually ready quite quickly. One thing that's a bit of a shame: The service isn't always equally friendly. Some employees seem stressed or annoyed, especially when it's busy. A smile or a friendly tone would definitely make the experience more pleasant. In conclusion: If you know and like McDonald's, you won't be disappointed here. Okay for a quick meal near the train station – but not a place for a cozy get-together or a special visit.

The burger was old and I didn't get a receipt. The staff was poorly trained.

Five years ago, I was there at 10:00 PM. Unfortunately, it wasn't so good. Today I was there, and they've done a complete 180. Everything was as expected. Top quality, perfect.

Staff is rude probably because I am an American. They had no iced coffee lattes… and I got the classic “the ice cream machine is broken” line.. I know this is Mac Donald’s but the staff member couldn’t read the menu item that was in German. Again..probably because I am an American.

Unfortunately the food is not delicious! It tastes like sand and lots of greenery and you can't even hold the food in your hand without it falling off! The food is made in mockery and as if we were animals! Terrible! Terrible sauce and the cleanliness leaves much to be desired!

Unfortunately, this is one of the worst McDonald's branches I've ever visited. I'm aware that McDonald's isn't a fine dining establishment—and I don't expect it to be. Nevertheless, this branch performs significantly worse than others. The location is almost ideal, and it's obvious that there are a lot of customers here. So there shouldn't be a lack of business. This makes it all the more incomprehensible why they can't keep the store clean. The restrooms are in poor condition. Particularly disconcerting: A cleaner sits directly in front of the restrooms with a plate, demanding money—something that is neither standard nor should be. Ordering is also inconvenient. There are no ordering kiosks, so you inevitably have to wait in line. This can quickly become stressful, especially during peak times—especially if you have to change your mind at the last minute because certain products aren't available. Recently, for example, they only served iced tea—Coke, Fanta, or Sprite weren't available. This also seems unprofessional. In the evening or later in the day, you don't really feel comfortable there. There are often large groups of questionable characters, which noticeably reduces the feeling of safety. Overall, I only give it one star. The atmosphere is unpleasant, the service is disorganized, and the hygiene conditions leave a lot to be desired. I give the food itself two stars – one for the usual McDonald's taste, one for the comparatively quick preparation. Unfortunately, not a recommendable branch.

Don’t go here there was a massive poo there

The absolute WORST toilet I have ever been too. The toilets were dirty and the toilets couldn't flush. One of the toilet blocks were out of order and the one that wasn't had a giant poo on the toilet itself. The toilet had no cover. The urinoirs stenched of pee. On top of all of that we had to pay €1 euro to go in! Absolute scam and never coming back.

Where I walked in the floor was dirty and sticky, really unhygienic. It took a long time for the food to arrive and there was less choice than normal at McDonalds. The burger had little sauce and the fries were very oily and limp, and the only sauce choices were ketchup and mayonnaise. The seat was dirty and there were some leaks there. Not recommended!!!

The store is disgustingly dirty, I've never gotten a milkshake there because something always didn't work or it wasn't available anymore, even though other stores have never had a problem with it. I couldn't collect any points on my order and with my last order, in addition to unfriendly service, there were no napkins or answers to my questions.

The worst McDonald’s I’ve been to… They served me old burger, box was super grease and disgusting, when I asked if it’s alright just to draw their attention that it’s not fine to serve it, they we’re looking at me in silence, because no one knows English even though it’s railway station… the top bun of the burger is also questionable, why there is just oil????? even if you have layover here, don’t buy food, just go to the second floor and chill there.

Never shop or eat there!! I ordered via Lieferando. The order was incomplete, so we called there and the employee was very unfriendly and simply hung up. We then called again and were not offered any compensation. We spent so much on it that we had nothing. Eating there is also not recommended. Really a shame

The food is not bad, the problem is that when I went I spent about 20 minutes waiting for a worker to finish talking to a customer and it wasn't about the product. You have to bring a translator because the girl doesn't understand English and nothing happens, but she gave me some faces when I looked for a translator for what I wanted. 1 star because we can't give 0!! The fries are soaked in oil, you could take two sips from the box once you finish the fries. The Burgers are dry, the bread is old and too rotten. The staff is unpleasant and doesn't care about the well-being of the customer. The menus are not like in other Macdos and it is not found on the Macdo app, it looks like a fake that is not legal. Drugged and smelly homeless people regularly pass by the tables to collect leftovers and empty drinks. Even if you are hungry, don't go there.

I hope MDs (macdonalds) finally finds a solution to the really bad conditions in this branch. .... It's just terrible! Everything in the bowl and on the table are the remains of the bowl, the tables are dirty! I can't imagine that in the kitchen, what conditions are the preparation of the bowl. In the toilet they charge 1 euro for what you enter.

Yesterday I was at the McDonald’s at Freiburg main station with my son around 1 p.m. We ordered a Happy Meal with six chicken nuggets via the app. Unfortunately, the employee simply threw the food into the bag carelessly and the nuggets were also missing. When I asked again, they were thrown in the bag too. The fries were spread out in the bag because everything was packed carelessly. The staff was unfriendly and seemed to have no interest in good service. The tables were dirty and everything seemed unkempt. The nuggets were totally dry and too dark. This was the first and last visit there for us.

DANGER !!! ALWAYS COUNT THE CHANGE. I've had the problem three times that I wasn't given enough money. Fluctuates between 5-10€!! And the employees are cheeky.

Really unfriendly employees, I wouldn't be surprised if there were cockroaches running around there. There's food on the floor everywhere and you don't have to wipe the cracks clean once if something gets dirty. The cooling barriers are open. That something like this can continue. I actually wanted to eat away but with such staff and condition...

Food was disgusting. It tasted strange and not as it should. It was also cold and didn't look particularly appetizing. Seats are tattered and dirty. Even the cola doesn't taste normal. You really lose your appetite. Staff was fine, could speak a little louder and more clearly. The cashier system does not scan the codes either. Not recommended. You have to know.

The ABSOLUTE worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been too. And I’ve been to this particular location a few times. Apart from BASIC menu items (special fries, iced tea…) not available even though displayed on the menu, the service is just not up to standard, at all. The burgers are poorly assembled and ingredients seem super unfresh. Fries are dry and not crisp. The restaurant is not clean, almost every spot and booth is dirty. McDonald’s corporate please review this location ASAP.

They do not have self order option. They do not accept online order and the staff are not familiar with the app. They did not let me use my Mc Donalds app reward points or offers. Very disappointed with the organisation

First a correction: Contrary to the statement of a review posted relatively high up here, it is NOT (!) a “standard McDonald’s with a drive inn and payment terminals”. There is no drive-in or terminals. The Mc Donalds located at the main train station does not take part in promotions and coupons from the Mc Donalds app are not accepted. I ordered 9 Chicken Mc Nuggets to take away and unfortunately only realized when I got home that there were only 6 in the package. I wasn't given a receipt either.
