KFC in Freiburg im Breisgau

For heaven's sake! I tried it once, but that was it. The prices are outrageous; for €20.00, you don't even get a proper meal. And I certainly don't eat that much. The portions are ridiculous for the price. In the background, you're bombarded with hard rock and gutter-level rap/hip hop. The "waiters," who weren't really waiters at all, were all of Arab descent and could only say, "Number 171, please!" Then you get your tray and find a seat. The taste? Oh dear. Anyone expecting something like McDonald's or Burger King will be completely disappointed. The coleslaw was ice cold, and with the Coke, you can imagine how that went down. I just can't understand such a combination. Nope, this will be my only visit. Absolutely not recommended.

The associate came out from behind the counter, to the kiosk, to help me choose the items I wanted to order. He was very friendly and helpfull. Wish everyone has his good attitude. He is definitfly management material.

Everyone knows the chain: high prices, poor ambiance, and not exactly inviting. But they don't use disgusting pressed meat like at King or McVitie's. The great thing is that everything tastes the same. This saves time choosing.

The food was just cold and they just warmed it up quickly. Who knows how long it had been standing? And the waiting time was over 40 minutes for a family buffet. So I'd rather go to KFC in Singen.

My friend had a fly at Korean Hot Wings Up (see picture) and no one cared. The staff didn't care and called me "bro" the whole time. Only after asking again, he was given a new portion, pissed off, but the wrong wings. Disgusting.

The bathroom had a wonderful smell. The service desk was outstanding and I felt like I was at a high end restaurant and not just a fast food establishment. Compliments to the chef and the team for the clean floors and tables

I visited the restaurant on October 9, 2025. The food is debatable. It was okay. But the restroom was abysmal. The restroom doors were sometimes stuck, and hygiene/cleanliness was nonsensical. It was dirty, and the restroom smelled so bad you could hardly breathe. I've never experienced anything like it. The service... well, what you'd expect from MC, BK, KFC, etc. I can only advise against visiting this place.

The bottom patty of the burger was cold. I've never been in a restroom that smelled so strongly of urine. Even in the public restroom near Frankfurt's train station district, it wasn't as pungent. This urgently needs to be improved. You could smell the odor even before you closed the restroom door. The women's restroom was just as disgusting.

No, not at all. I ordered to-go. The food was thrown into a bag and was all soggy. Unfortunately, I realized this too late.

KFC's food is good as usual, but they don't seem to care about cleanliness! There are 5 empty tables, 4 of which are uncleaned and dirty. Apparently, no employee feels the need to even pick up a rag. I'd give the restrooms - stars; they're not clean and smell horribly of sewage.

We ordered through Just Eat/Liferando, and nothing arrived, even after more than an hour. We tried calling, but no one answered. We then went to the restaurant and complained. The staff were very rude, laughing at us and rolling their eyes. When we finally received our order, the wrong products were included, and the burgers were simply ridiculous. The fries were cold, and the chicken wings were still raw inside. Truly awful. I will never order from there again.

Not worthy of a chain! Waited 10 minutes for the food, burgers and chicken were on the tray from the first minute, so they were cold when eaten. Fries were warm but soggy, even though they were freshly prepared. The restroom smells absurd, worse than a public restroom, dirty, full of urine and dirt. Question the management...

Unfortunately, the delivery person often forgets to deliver goods. For example, despite notifying us that a burger was missing, they would deliver it (and then it didn't arrive). This was the last time I'll order from KFC, which is a shame; I was a regular customer.

You get your tablet and immediately flies everywhere. They say the boss wants to save the climate, so they have to leave the windows and doors open. It's a shame.

The people there are running around like crazy, all stressed out, can't keep up with making food. I feel a bit sorry for them; they're far too understaffed, I think. Chaos.

The milkshake machine is ALWAYS broken. And when it works, other things don't. They don't give carbonated drinks or change or something else. They always make excuses. Always something! And then you have to wait half an hour for fast food?? It's a shame, the food is actually delicious.

I find it disgusting to go to the restroom there; it stinks and everything is disgusting. You can always have the toilets cleaned, so I'd really prefer 0 stars.

We wanted to order an advertised item, but this was too much service for the employee (it was an afternoon with no other customers). He referred us to the ordering terminal... Problem = the item can only be found by laboriously searching through submenus. Then I ordered this item, which included two types of chicken, two fries, and two drinks. Despite being prepared immediately, the fries were lukewarm, as were the chicken pieces. You could have gone in and complained, but the alternative is to avoid KFC. It's a shame, because KFC Freiburg used to be really great in terms of service, product availability, food heating, and taste....

I ordered a KFC salad and a Zinger burger, both of which were expired. They smelled too bad, so I threw them in the trash and wasted all my money. This wasn't the first time I've been to KFC with my family. I see the employees putting fallen chickens back into the chicken coop. The KFC restroom was also too dirty; they don't clean them, it always smelled bad, and there's no hand sanitizer.

Since there aren't many KFCs nearby, this has become our regular. The food still tastes good and doesn't give you a stomachache like other fast-food joints. Prices are quite high these days, but every now and then you treat yourself.

I enjoyed the food, but the portions are small for the price. I can't recommend the coleslaw. Checkout was quick. It wasn't very crowded. But I would go again.

Today was the first time I've been to KFC in no idea how long... A lot has changed since I started working there, and not for the better! It starts with the fact that this is the most child-unfriendly fast food restaurant there is... The kids' corner in the back is gone, the playground outside is gone too!! There's nothing on the kids' menu except the food... What's also noticeable is that to save on personnel costs, they're installing terminals, so there's one person at the counter (who takes orders), as well as the kitchen staff and the "cleaning staff," who aren't even able to communicate in German! When I worked there back then, it was actually always pretty clean. At least with the shift supervisors, we always made an effort to keep the tables and the restrooms (the whole restaurant, actually) clean! Speaking of restrooms: I've rarely seen a place where the restrooms were so dirty and full of piss that even as a man, you'd back out of there!!!!! There used to be a cleaning schedule that recorded who and when they cleaned... As for the banana, even that's gone!! Soap?? None, both restrooms empty... When I asked, they refilled them, and when I pointed out that the restrooms looked worse than at Frankfurt Central Station and hadn't been cleaned for weeks, the response was: What am I supposed to do now??? I don't know, clean them?? Staff, blah blah... Mr. Hamilton, the restrooms are a disgrace!! It used to be different and better 😉 There's no point in talking about the food, it's just KFC... But the prices are getting really outrageous!! Paying about €70 for four people is pretty tough...

The service is good, and the food is fresh and hot. It's always a bit musty outside due to the smell of the biogas plant, but that's not KFC's fault.

It's fast food, it's KFC. But if the chicken is still raw, it's just not good. We had to throw away more than half. What a great way to start our vacation.

Never eaten so badly. What was missing in salt from the fries (absolutely zero) was doubled on the burgers. Several things were missing, but were promptly replaced. Only two napkins is an imposition. Never again.

I ordered from KFC Freiburg on August 14, 2025, at 4:20 PM. The delivery time was stated as approximately 30 minutes, but the food actually didn't arrive until 5:50 PM. I called several times and kept getting different excuses ("5 more minutes," "10 more minutes"). When the driver finally called, I politely asked him to bring the food to the door. His response: "I don't work for your mother or father." Such disrespectful and unprofessional behavior is completely unacceptable. Since I had already paid for the food but couldn't accept it as it was, it was returned unopened. No apology, no solution—just disappointing. Never again!

The bathrooms are very dirty, they need to be cleaner.

We wait for our food and watch the employees. One of them takes crispy fries out of the oven. He drops two pieces on the floor and instead of throwing them away, he puts them back in the freshly made version.

The chicken wings and nuggets are very well seasoned and reasonably priced. The service is okay, but the ambiance is so-so. The restrooms were locked, and we had to get an employee. One of the restrooms was black and broken.

The sellers are rude to the customers. I doubt I'll come here again.

I rarely write reviews, but I have to say something about this! 1. I ordered food, which wasn't much. My colleague ordered the same thing except for one cookie. His food arrived after 3 minutes. I had to wait another 15-20 minutes for my food to arrive! When it finally arrived, it was cold! 2. The floor was a hazard for anyone who walked in! A smear of food covered the entire store! When I pointed it out to the staff, I was ignored! 3. About 2-3 hours after eating, I felt sick, had stomach cramps, and this feeling that I was about to throw up just keeps going! But if the floor in the store looks like that, you can imagine what the kitchen must be like! This store is a disgrace!

I ordered food two hours before the store closed. Apparently, the food has been on its way for over an hour. No one can be reached by phone. Report this to the delivery company and KFC; hopefully, they'll remove you from their delivery program. From what I've gathered from the reviews, this happens quite often. If you don't feel like delivering orders, then simply don't accept them and don't confirm them.

The food tastes very good. Unfortunately, there are no more toys for children in the kids' menu, which was very disappointing for our son 😔

They don't have air conditioning

Let's start with what I like: - I've never had anything cold or dry to eat here. That means the food has always been of "good" quality for fast food. - The store itself is always clean. What I don't like: - Even if you're the third or fourth person to order, you sometimes wait over 30 minutes for your order, no matter how small. - Drive-thru users are constantly let ahead, and sometimes no consideration is given to customers waiting in the store. - Unfortunately, German isn't everyone's strong suit. It doesn't have to be perfect, but taking an order when the terminals aren't working should work. Short summary: If you're in a hurry and want something to eat, drive 300 meters further to one of the other fast food restaurants; the opening times here are unpredictable. And if you do want something from KFC, you'd better plan plenty of time.

No reusable packaging although it is advertised on the vending machine

KFC is rude and takes no responsibility. I ordered the Big Original Bites Bucket with 24 chicken pieces, but only 8 were delivered, which wasn't what I ordered. I called them and they told me they would check first and then call me back. But after 2 hours, there was no call back. I called over 30 times, but they deliberately didn't answer. They are extremely unprofessional and irresponsible. Very bad. For anyone who wants to order from them: Check your order carefully! Because if they make a mistake, they take no responsibility and show no decency or good behavior. I feel very deprived, both in terms of time and money. I waited a long time, the order was wrong, and I paid a lot of money just for 8 pieces of chicken. 👎🏼

really negative experience, I don't even know where to start, you go in and feel like you're in a sauna, the customers end up like chickens, dirty bathrooms, dirty terrace and the food is not that great

No ventilation; they try to save on salt, pepper, and napkins. If you need another napkin, the employee takes two or three from the dispenser and hands them to you.

A very good KFC. They were able to communicate in english, which isn't always a given and they took the order politely and had it ready quickly! The ambience wasn't that great, but I mean, it's a KFC, what can you expect for a fast food restaurant with a drive through. All in all a good experience, I can only recommend eating here if you want a good KFC meal.

I went there after work specifically to bring home food. Instead of the Korean crispies I went specifically for, I had a burger in it, and instead of the mayo I ordered, I had ketchup. Since I had a long walk home, I only realized at home that they had given me the wrong thing. If I'm going out of my way to try it, it should contain what I ordered. (And yes, I looked in the bag, just not the Squid Game packaging, to make sure it actually contained the right thing...)

I was at KFC today (June 13, 2025) around 4:00 PM and I'm truly disappointed. The visit was an absolute disgrace. My burger was cold and had a completely careless topping – there was literally barely any filling, simply ridiculous. The fries were also cold and looked like they had barely been fried. We ate outside – there was an employee sitting there watching TikToks and smoking while customers ate right next to him. Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful to the guests. When we asked for a few tissues, we were given ONE (!) – how can you possibly cut corners on something like that? You eat with your hands, so hygiene is a given! During our entire visit, the only music playing over the system was Arabic music from the employees – zero consideration for a pleasant atmosphere for all guests. We are actually regular customers at KFC, but what's been going on at this branch lately is abysmal. The quality and service have declined drastically. This cannot and must not continue!

I have to honestly say: I've rarely experienced such exceptionally positive service – and I owe that to two very special people – Marko and Amadeus. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was greeted with a genuine, warm smile that immediately put me in a good mood. Marko radiated a calmness, friendliness, and helpfulness that was contagious. He took the time to answer each of my questions, explained the products to me with genuine passion, and always had an open ear – not because he had to, but because you could tell he wanted me to feel comfortable. And then Amadeus arrived – with an energy that was simply infectious. Humorous, attentive, and yet professional. He worked with an attention to detail that you would normally only expect in fine dining. Together with Marko, the two formed an unbeatable team that not only prepared my order perfectly, but also ensured that I felt seen and valued as a person – not just as a customer. In a world where good service is unfortunately no longer a given, Marko and Amadeus have shown that passion, humanity, and genuine commitment can make a huge difference. They are proof that fast food isn't just about speed, but also about connection, joy, and appreciation. Dear KFC team – be proud of these two employees. I definitely am. Thank you, Marko and Amadeus – you gave me more than just a delicious meal: you brightened my day. Thank you

The wings were typical KFC, and the Coke was appropriately cold. The fries could have been hotter; I think they're hot during peak hours. The restaurant itself was very hot and stuffy, so we ate outside, which was bearable.

I haven't been so disappointed in a long time. The food was already cold and the burger was a joke... 90% of it was just a bun. The fries were bland and tasteless. The staff were very stingy with napkins, even when asked, and this in a restaurant where you mostly eat with your hands! Also, the restaurant played Arabic music the whole time. I think that was my last time at KFC, because the restaurant has really gone downhill since the renovation.

The floor is dirty and sticky. I hope the kitchen isn't the same. You have to place your order at the vending machine, with the option to pay at the cash register. It's okay, you can't expect more from a fast food restaurant. On a warm summer day, it doesn't smell very appetizing outside, because the bio-waste recycling depot is right behind the restaurant.

The food itself was good. What was annoying was that the sliding door was constantly open, which meant there were a lot of flies in the restaurant, constantly running around on you. I pointed out the problem and said it would be better to close the sliding door, but I only got a "yes" as a response. Because the door was also open, the smell of the Remondis gas system permeated the restaurant, which can curb your hunger. The fries are unfortunately soggy, and mayo or ketchup cost extra. The toppings on the burger are mediocre.

The food is just what you'd expect from a KFC. Everything was always ready quickly, but the whole area stinks thanks to the biogas plant.

Went there on 12.05 11 am Staff was friendly and helped me out with the beverage dispenser. Its just what u expect from KFC warm fast juicy chicken. Big minus point toilet Would recommend the bowls !
