You'd think you can't go wrong with McDonald's, that it all tastes the same, but I've never seen anything like this. I'm amazed they're still open and haven't been forced to close. I've never seen anything so dirty, disgusting, and unhygienic. My burger was anything but fresh. I'm still disgusted. The restrooms were awful. They stank, there was no soap, no towels to dry myself, and everything was sticky. The server didn't even understand what I wanted to order, and I had to wait half an hour with the kids for my stale burger. Just dreadful conditions.

A complete disgrace. The establishment has no toilet. The service is very slow.

Our immediate complaint to customer service in Munich was forwarded to the franchisee in Nuremberg—and hasn't been answered for more than 10 weeks. The same goes for a complaint from 2022, which also went unanswered. Fail! Unprofessional, extremely poorly managed, a dingy place, and staff who don't speak a word of German or English. This is the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. It was very dirty, and the staff seemed inexperienced.

Tuesday: around 2 p.m. We have truly never experienced such a filthy McDonald's as this one on Breite Gasse in Nuremberg. The floor was so sticky that your feet practically stuck to it. On the first floor, the air conditioning was running, making it freezing cold and drafty. Food scraps and empty containers were scattered everywhere, the tables hadn't been wiped clean, and there wasn't a single employee in sight who seemed to care about cleanliness or order. It was difficult to enjoy my burger. And we won't even begin to talk about the restrooms: My husband came back from the men's room with a face contorted in disgust. One of the urinals was completely covered in vomit. It was simply revolting. On top of that, there were overflowing tray return bins, and there wasn't a trash can in sight. The McDonald's wasn't even full. One visit was more than enough for us. We are truly very disappointed and, frankly, cannot understand how this McDonald's is even allowed to remain open under such conditions.

One star is too much! I've never been to such a bad, run-down McDonald's. I ordered a meal with salad. I waited almost 20 minutes, and then the woman just added a dressing. When I said I didn't want honey mustard dressing, she simply said she didn't have any other options. I then changed my order and asked for fries instead of salad, since there was no dressing. She rolled her eyes rudely and very reluctantly brought the fries. The restaurant is filthy and freezing cold! It's impossible to eat there without a jacket. And it's December! The restrooms are an outrage! Dirty, the smell is UNACCEPTABLE!!!! This restaurant is a disgrace to the chain!

It's catastrophically unfriendly; the internet is deliberately not working so that coupons can't be redeemed. The manager informed me of this in a raised voice: "Internet isn't working, do you understand?!" As if I didn't understand German, but they did with their broken German. For months now, whenever we visit this fast-food restaurant, no customer is allowed to use the app and pay normally; it's always blocked.

Unfortunately, there are no self-service machines where you can put together and order your meal.

I felt like I'd been transported back to the early 2000s. No ordering kiosks, no order numbers on the receipts, no displays/monitors showing what's ready, and some burgers aren't even freshly made but are just lying around pre-made. As soon as you have any special requests, you wait forever. I ordered three cheeseburgers and waited a total of 20 minutes. I really didn't think McDonald's had branches like this.

This is seriously the worst McDonald's I've ever been to! Everything is grimy and neglected, simply unappetizing. Behind the counter, people move at a leisurely pace, and there are usually several employees standing around, seemingly chatting. Even though there are three lines. The food, well, the fries are hit or miss, but I only come here because I'm usually just there for a short break.

One of the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. They didn’t have any drinks except IceTea. I ordered a plain cheeseburger (with cheese inside naturally) and I got a cheeseburger without the cheese. It is not the cashiers fault but the cooks. The line was too long beacuse this McDonalds doesn’t have monitors for ordering. You only order on the kiosk and then wait for your food on the spot, thus the line being long. The bathroom is AWFULLY dirty

Disaster!!! Filthy, no drinks left except water. No sauces. The place was completely sold out by 5 pm and should really close. If you can see you can't serve people anymore, then close down and don't brazenly continue selling tap water and making a profit.

We were removed from the upper floor, which was very unfair. I was hungry and needed to use the toilet/pool.

You get what you want, which is difficult in the city center. The staff at the desk are petite, with medium-brown hair, very friendly and eager to prepare breakfast. The store's location on a corner of Breite Gasse is currently unfortunate. We'll see what happens when something new opens in the former Kaufhof building across the street.

I was disappointed with the service compared to last time. The food was delicious, but the air conditioning was far too cold in July. It felt like they just wanted me to leave immediately.

I was truly shocked by the state of this McDonald's (Lorenzkirche, Nuremberg). Even ordering was a disaster due to the language barrier – it was nearly impossible to make myself understood. The entire floor was sticky, the tables were dirty and sticky, and the whole place looked run-down and neglected. Inside, it was freezing cold because the air conditioning was apparently set to the outside temperature (and this was the beginning of November!). It felt like sitting outside. The epitome of this visit was the completely smeared window, which clearly shows how little cleaning is done here. The state of the men's restroom was simply disgusting – a dilapidated toilet like something out of a train station, in the worst possible condition. And as if that weren't enough: the door to the men's room was missing! I'm rarely speechless, but this visit was simply appalling. For a location so central in Nuremberg, this is a disgrace to the McDonald's brand.

They just threw the food onto my tray; there wasn't a single piece of lettuce with the chicken burger, the chicken nuggets were simply disgusting, and the woman who served me even complained about me and my friend and then acted like we hadn't seen anything, even though we saw everything.

I visited your location and was extremely disappointed. The staff was inattentive, my order took too long to prepare, and the food I received did not meet the quality standards you'd expect from McDonald's. That Mcdonalds was one of the worst i have been lately , not at all on the standard of all the others Mcdonalds anymore feels like time stopped in 2020 , no recent menu items every other mcdonalds has , no displays to order from which leads to long queues that Mcdonalds definitely needs a big upgrade.

Hello everyone, We wanted to share our opinion after our visit today... First of all, the Mc Donalds is very old-fashioned and not particularly nicely decorated. Then we wanted to take our order and had to wait and deal with a lot of complications. The waitresses weren't particularly keen on their work and just threw the shabby food onto the two trays for four without making any effort. It was disorganized, and they had no overview. They didn't know what they had left or what was sold out. We got things we didn't order, and one worker ate food instead of working.

I would give it 0 stars, but I can't. This was the worst meal I've ever had. I didn't order much at all—a McWrap meal. Yet it took them 15 minutes to prepare it, while the employee just walked around the kitchen in circles, looking at me sideways. And then they gave me the wrong McWrap—not the one I ordered. The floors throughout the building were very sticky and unpleasant—my feet were sticking to them. They didn't give anyone a receipt, and I didn't even see a receipt-printing machine. My tray had leftovers of some food I obviously didn't order. They don't have large screens for ordering yet, and the cashiers only offer two sauces: mayonnaise and ketchup. They didn't even give us napkins. Plus, it smelled terrible in there—you could hardly breathe. The McWrap was falling apart; I removed the cardboard packaging, and everything fell out. The food itself was cold, too. The potatoes were either too salty or just old—like they were a week old. They also gave me Coke with sugar, even though I ordered without. In general, it's incredibly dirty. There are leftover food on the floor, and the staff don't even bother to clean it up. Someone spilled Coke on the floor, and it stayed there all day. Also, the second floor closes long before the restaurant itself, even though that's where most of the seating is. Even when there were still people there, the floor was already filled with trash cans. This is just disgusting and awful. I will never go there again. I hope your dump burns down. 🥰

Please train your employees. Every time I order a McWrap chicken honey mustard, I get a McRib or a McWrap with curry. It can't be that difficult. Jesus, today is a total failure. I ordered at 11:20 after standing in line, and had to wait until 11:38 to get my meal for one person. I have the feeling the kitchen doesn't cook according to orders. UPDATE: Even though I regularly tell myself I'm not going here anymore, I still do it again. Today, for example, there was no line at 6 p.m. As always, the McWrap chicken honey mustard with salad and Diet Coke is on the menu. It used to be the Chicken Caesar, but unfortunately, that was discontinued a few months ago. I open the wrapper; at least the kitchen was able to prepare it properly, 50/50, so half of it falls out the bottom. Someone else said that in another review. After the first bite, I'm surprised. The taste wasn't bad, the sauce looked like mayo, the meat was heavily breaded like that of a chicken samurai, and there was a piece of cucumber like something from a salad in it. I still don't understand why you never get what you order here, especially lately. But this time I was really surprised by this homemade creation.

Only two tablets were provided for six people, and you couldn't choose which drink or sauce to order. The food was cold. After repeatedly asking the staff, the order was somewhat correct. I can't recommend it. P.S.: Don't pay attention to grammar; I didn't have the time or inclination after this experience. Also, I should add: NO RECEIPT!

We ordered four burgers at this McDonald's around 10:00 AM on September 27, 2025. The cashier's language skills were poor, she couldn't understand German, and her operation was very unskilled. It took a long time to take our order. When our burgers were ready, they were simply left there without anyone taking them out from the backroom. The entire process, from ordering to picking up, took nearly half an hour.

What a mess! If the restaurant's work is as clean as it looks, then it won't just be bad!!!

There's little tidying up, it's 200 degrees Celsius at the counter (poor staff), and the food takes a long time to arrive. The staff morale is positive; everyone was very friendly.

Unfortunately, this is the worst restaurant I've ever visited. It's dirty, very warm inside, and smells bad. As a result, the burgers are terrible. The only thing is, the service was friendly and attentive.

My friend's and mine were dry, without onions, and apparently with yesterday's patty. Coke and other drinks are still, which the staff knows, but they don't mention when ordering. When I wanted to exchange the Coke, they said, "We know it's still." They charged me for a different bottled drink. I got a juice and still Sprite. No one apologized, and the other customers weren't told that the drinks were still. Extremely poor communication.

The cheeseburgers I ordered were clearly from yesterday, and the Coke was completely stale. When I asked for a new drink, the staff said their vending machine was broken and I'd have to pay extra for a new one.

So, basically, it's a classic Meccan restaurant. It's a bit dated, though, so digitalization isn't a priority here. The food is so-so...you definitely can't get everything, and not everything is hot. There's also a strange phenomenon here: the upper floor is closed off long before closing time. Unfortunately, that's where the restrooms and most of the seating are. For this reason, I recommend a reservation from someone in your group if you want a seat. But depending on the time of day, you'll be entertained quite well. That's why it's worth the one star.

Ordered big mac hamburger at 23:00. Got one that was very dry and probably at least 2 hours old. Avoid.

The food was inedible, the burger buns were hard and the food in general was not fresh, the burgers were cold and the cheese was dried out, everything on my Philly cheese stack was missing, there was only cheese and meat, in general it was very dirty, we didn't even have the appetite to eat the food anymore, we left everything lying around and the service at the checkout wasn't that great either, other McDonald's are much better, I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone.

This is unfortunately not the first time we've experienced poor service at the McDonald's on Breiten Gasse in Nuremberg. Just like today: Three long lines full of waiting customers, but suddenly a cashier simply disappears. Another employee switches her cash register, but instead of fairly directing all the lines, only a single line is distributed between the two open cash registers. The remaining customers continued to stand in line, disoriented – only after I asked about it did I get the succinct reply: "Only this one line is being served." This is an absolute disgrace! No information, no announcements, no consideration for the customers. Many disgruntled customers ultimately simply left. This is no way to treat customers. The Breiten Gasse branch demonstrates VERY POOR MANAGEMENT – urgent change is needed! ‼️

I was there last night and the first thing I noticed was the sticky floor throughout the shop. When I ordered there was only mayonnaise and I had to ask several times for what I wanted because no one listened to me. On top of that, my four MC double chili cheese burgers 1. had the wrong cheese on them (not the typical yellow one but some cheap cheese from Aldi) 2. didn't have the chili cheese sauce on a single burger. Seven customers were served before me, I waited 25 minutes and I got the driest burgers. I could have overlooked it but McDonald's is so expensive these days that I just think it's outrageous.

It's a McDonald's. Food comes in a box, and you can expect normal McDonald's food quality and prices. However, the location and the upstairs seating areas are quite exceptional compared to many other McDonald's i have visited around the world, and the bathrooms are actually clean.

The restaurant wasn't very clean. There was no toilet paper or soap in the restroom when we were there.

By far the worst McDonald's I know. Curly fries and fries are always out of stock, you have to be careful to make sure you actually get what you ordered, and you usually wait forever to finally get your food. Even though I work right next door, I now prefer to walk 10 minutes to the McDonald's at the train station rather than go here.

I had to wait about 15 minutes for my order. But my food was hot and fresh. Unfortunately, the coupons don't always work here. And even after several weeks, the price list posted didn't match the orders at the counter. You can't collect points either. The restaurant makes a well-kept overall impression.

The food is the same as usual, and that's a given, but here it wasn't as tasty as in Italy. They wouldn't let us up to the first floor even though it was only 8:00 PM, and that's where the bathrooms are. The staff was annoyed (the guy in the shirt who served us), and for that reason, the cleanliness wasn't the best. They also wouldn't let people who had finished long ago get up to make room for those who needed to eat, especially considering the first floor was closed. We're here as tourists, but we definitely won't be back... The worst MC I've seen in Europe.

Very, very poor customer service. I can't recommend this store. In the morning, when hardly anyone was there, she yelled at me for nothing. I just wanted to say what I wanted for my order. She yelled at me while she served the other customers normally. I assume it's for racist reasons, since my girlfriend is a hijabi. I definitely wouldn't recommend this store to my Muslim brothers and sisters! I feel insulted and outraged!

This was the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The cashier who was supposed to take my order was on his phone the whole time and was reluctant to turn to us to finally take our order. We had to wait a full 15 minutes for the burger. The employees were walking around, chatting, drinking, and constantly on their phones. You don't get receipts here at all. If you try to scan a coupon in the app, it simply doesn't work. I also saw a drink being poured from one cup to another—possibly from a cup that was already being used—and then given to the customers on their orders. In short: an absolute nightmare.

Actually, it's a nice fast-food restaurant in the historic post office building. The food is okay, the service staff is okay, but what's completely unacceptable is that you have to pay to use the restroom (even as a guest!). Germany is a toilet desert. Anyone who's ever been to Japan will miss a lot of things in this regard.
