McDonald's in Nürnberg

The food was inedible, the burger buns were hard and the food in general was not fresh, the burgers were cold and the cheese was dried out, everything on my Philly cheese stack was missing, there was only cheese and meat, in general it was very dirty, we didn't even have the appetite to eat the food anymore, we left everything lying around and the service at the checkout wasn't that great either, other McDonald's are much better, I wouldn't recommend this one to anyone.

This is unfortunately not the first time we've experienced poor service at the McDonald's on Breiten Gasse in Nuremberg. Just like today: Three long lines full of waiting customers, but suddenly a cashier simply disappears. Another employee switches her cash register, but instead of fairly directing all the lines, only a single line is distributed between the two open cash registers. The remaining customers continued to stand in line, disoriented – only after I asked about it did I get the succinct reply: "Only this one line is being served." This is an absolute disgrace! No information, no announcements, no consideration for the customers. Many disgruntled customers ultimately simply left. This is no way to treat customers. The Breiten Gasse branch demonstrates VERY POOR MANAGEMENT – urgent change is needed! ‼️

I was there last night and the first thing I noticed was the sticky floor throughout the shop. When I ordered there was only mayonnaise and I had to ask several times for what I wanted because no one listened to me. On top of that, my four MC double chili cheese burgers 1. had the wrong cheese on them (not the typical yellow one but some cheap cheese from Aldi) 2. didn't have the chili cheese sauce on a single burger. Seven customers were served before me, I waited 25 minutes and I got the driest burgers. I could have overlooked it but McDonald's is so expensive these days that I just think it's outrageous.

It's a McDonald's. Food comes in a box, and you can expect normal McDonald's food quality and prices. However, the location and the upstairs seating areas are quite exceptional compared to many other McDonald's i have visited around the world, and the bathrooms are actually clean.

I ordered a hamburger and got a bun with a patty. I asked about it and didn't get a proper answer. The staff was very unfriendly! I'll never come back 🤬🤬🤬!

Well, McDonald's isn't what it used to be either. The burgers are getting smaller and smaller. A cheeseburger is smaller than a donut.

By far the worst McDonald's I know. Curly fries and fries are always out of stock, you have to be careful to make sure you actually get what you ordered, and you usually wait forever to finally get your food. Even though I work right next door, I now prefer to walk 10 minutes to the McDonald's at the train station rather than go here.

I had to wait about 15 minutes for my order. But my food was hot and fresh. Unfortunately, the coupons don't always work here. And even after several weeks, the price list posted didn't match the orders at the counter. You can't collect points either. The restaurant makes a well-kept overall impression.

The food is the same as usual, and that's a given, but here it wasn't as tasty as in Italy. They wouldn't let us up to the first floor even though it was only 8:00 PM, and that's where the bathrooms are. The staff was annoyed (the guy in the shirt who served us), and for that reason, the cleanliness wasn't the best. They also wouldn't let people who had finished long ago get up to make room for those who needed to eat, especially considering the first floor was closed. We're here as tourists, but we definitely won't be back... The worst MC I've seen in Europe.

Very, very poor customer service. I can't recommend this store. In the morning, when hardly anyone was there, she yelled at me for nothing. I just wanted to say what I wanted for my order. She yelled at me while she served the other customers normally. I assume it's for racist reasons, since my girlfriend is a hijabi. I definitely wouldn't recommend this store to my Muslim brothers and sisters! I feel insulted and outraged!

This was the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The cashier who was supposed to take my order was on his phone the whole time and was reluctant to turn to us to finally take our order. We had to wait a full 15 minutes for the burger. The employees were walking around, chatting, drinking, and constantly on their phones. You don't get receipts here at all. If you try to scan a coupon in the app, it simply doesn't work. I also saw a drink being poured from one cup to another—possibly from a cup that was already being used—and then given to the customers on their orders. In short: an absolute nightmare.

The place is dirty and neglected. Since it was August, I expected the temperature to be pleasant... It was scorching hot. Truly awful.

Actually, it's a nice fast-food restaurant in the historic post office building. The food is okay, the service staff is okay, but what's completely unacceptable is that you have to pay to use the restroom (even as a guest!). Germany is a toilet desert. Anyone who's ever been to Japan will miss a lot of things in this regard.

I'd prefer 0 stars, if I had read the comments first. My expectations of McDonald's aren't high, since it's a fast-food restaurant, but I didn't expect it to be so bad that I don't even know where to begin. Regarding the incompetent staff or the quality. You couldn't even use the restroom to wash your hands after eating the greasy burger.

I can't recommend this place. Poor service due to a lack of German skills. I didn't get what I wanted. Some of it wasn't there. I had a double burger, but I didn't get it on the tablet! We were served by Matthias here twice this week, and both times they provided fantastic service! Matthias was kind, friendly, and charismatic and made our ordering experience fun and exciting. We are only visiting for a short time but we will be sure to return in future!

We arrived in a hurry to grab something to go. It was busy but we went in and hoped that it would still go quickly enough. There were five people in front of us in the queue, so we thought it would just about go. However, we were bitterly disappointed because the woman working at the till/counter just left in the middle of things and disappeared for a quarter of an hour. Unfortunately, there were no order boards where we could have ordered. Worst service ever!!!

Worst McDonald's I've ever experienced. The food was so old and dry that I even returned it once. I gave up the second time – it didn't improve. The burger buns are hard, the fries seem old and soggy, and the Chicken McNuggets are so hard and overly crispy you can almost break them. Absolutely disappointing and not recommended.

The dirtiest and most outdated McDonald's we've ever eaten at. All the employees were extremely stressed and not particularly friendly. The entire floor was littered. What's hard to see in one of the pictures is that there was a 2-meter-wide puddle of spilled soft drink at the completely overflowing tray drop-off point, which made the floor upstairs sticky. Our tray also still had sauce on it from the dishwashing process. While ordering, we saw an employee drop a French fry wrapper on the floor, pick it up, and then fill it with fries for a customer. The food was actually quite good, but the fries were a bit soggy.

I was in Nuremberg for the first time. The woman taking the order was very rude and hurtful. We spoke English, and when we asked her to repeat a word we didn't understand, she laughed mockingly at us and then reacted angrily. It completely demoralized us. I didn't like the city at all; everyone is so sullen.

The worst McDonalds I've ever been to. Even at train stations where there are much more people, they're better. It's VERY dirty and hot here. Flies are flying. Unfriendly staff. Even aggressive. Had to wait 15 minutes for a cheeseburger, while the lady at the cash register was running around, pointing her fingers at the customers and shouting that it was their own fault for waiting, because they were ordering all sorts of different burgers. Seriously?!? I'll never come here again.

Unfortunately, my last visit to McDonald's wasn't particularly satisfactory. I ordered a wrap – the ingredients were as described, but the quality left a lot to be desired. The lettuce was obviously not fresh, had an unpleasant smell, and a poor texture. The cucumbers were basically just peel, with no real flesh, which severely affected the flavor. Furthermore, the wrap was prepared and then sat on the counter for about seven minutes before it was handed to me – so I received it only lukewarm.

Worst experience I've ever had at McDonald's. An employee who looks like Jonathan from Stranger Things. He's a bit bald, but his grey hair covers it up. He was very rude. He didn't ask what we wanted to eat or drink when I asked if I could use a coupon. He just looked at me stupidly. He didn't ask for a sauce or a drink. When we order what we want to order, we're just trying to eat our food. It's old and hard and the lettuce tastes like it's been sitting around for ten days. Our fries weren't salted. Incredibly slow and inefficient service. No idea what has been ordered. Some of the food is finished, put on a tray and then it can sit there waiting for the rest to be made. So what is waiting gets cold while the rest is being made.

Worst Mac of my life. A 40-minute wait since arriving and still no food. The woman behind the counter is doing one thing at a time and doesn't seem to be in a hurry. I let two guys go ahead of me because they were arguing, but no reaction, no thanks, nothing.

The employees ignored us and didn't take our order. We then stood at the checkout for 20 minutes until we were told that the employee who was there before had to take Lieferando orders and that we should queue up somewhere else. It was very busy, but the employees weren't in a hurry and just walked out. We left afterward because we didn't feel like queuing again.

There are no large screens for ordering and no pickup point where the numbers are displayed on the screen, like in other branches, which meant we had to order at the checkout. When it was actually our turn, the cashier disappeared and didn't come back for a while. A few minutes later we saw her in the kitchen and looked at her questioningly/confusedly because we had already been waiting for a long time. Then she just said that she had to process Lieferando orders now and that we either had to wait or go to another checkout. There was a queue at all the other checkouts and she didn't say how long we would have to wait. So we left because we didn't see the point in queuing up again.

Official Complaint About the Disastrous Service at McDonald's Nuremberg – Breite Gasse 6 Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to submit a formal complaint about your branch at Breite Gasse 6, 90402 Nuremberg. This is the second time in two months that I have had an extremely bad experience at this restaurant – it is by far the worst McDonald's I have ever visited – anywhere in the world. I went there with my children around 7:00–8:00 p.m., when they were simply looking forward to a Happy Meal and chicken nuggets. Instead of a quick and pleasant visit, we were disappointed and frustrated every time: • There are no ordering machines – only two checkouts, with a wait time of over 20 minutes. • On the first visit, I waited 10 minutes at a checkout, only to be told it was closed – with no prior notice. • The order was incomplete and incorrect: the Happy Meal came without nuggets, and my burger wasn't as ordered. • Restrooms and the upper floor were closed without explanation. • I complained to the store manager at the time, hoping for improvement – but today, July 15, 2025, everything was exactly the same. • The same cashier, who clearly doesn't understand the orders, and again, numerous mistakes. • I ordered a Chicken Big Mac, but received a regular one. When I tried again, the box was completely smeared with sauce, even though I had specifically requested no sauce. Such service and conditions are unacceptable – not only for me, but also for many other customers who also seemed upset. A McDonald's restaurant with so many systematic problems should be reviewed and improved immediately. I therefore request that you thoroughly inspect the store, especially during the aforementioned period, and take appropriate measures. I will not subject myself to a third disappointment. Sincerely

Terribly bad service. We were there late this afternoon. I noticed a woman. She had short black hair, was very unfriendly and unmotivated. She was a bit rude. In any case, we placed our order, and everything was fine. My boyfriend ordered a chicken wrap with honey mustard sauce, the double cheeseburger menu, with one extra burger. Two 6-pack chicken nugs with fries. When we finally got to our seats and started eating, The burgers were cold, the wrap was cold and completely empty, the fries were hot, and the nuggets weren't exactly the freshest, feeling two days old. When my boyfriend unwrapped the wrap, it fell apart. I went to the front and asked if it was standard. The woman immediately yelled at me. I said if I only noticed it downstairs, I could come right up front. Did I say, are you customer-friendly? I said, I don't think so. Another person said they'd get a new wrap. And then I said that it was the least I could do. The other one, the black-haired one, got upset, and I said she was being very unfriendly and unwilling to compromise. If she doesn't feel like working, she should stay home. That's really bad. The Mac at the main station is much friendlier, and they serve hot food. I should be glad I didn't hand her the whole tray. For 25 euros, you can expect something.

I am appalled by the conditions under which employees at the McDonald's on Breitengasse in Nuremberg are forced to work. Temperatures in the kitchen currently exceed 60 degrees Celsius – with outside temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius – and there is no air conditioning or fans. The result is health problems and exhaustion. Many of the employees come from abroad and are often unaware of their legally regulated working conditions. Humane treatment of employees looks different. I will inform the relevant authorities, including the union and the trade inspectorate.

Please urgently run the air conditioning on the first floor. The temperature inside is unacceptable in the summer when it's so hot. It's worse inside than outside. You can't eat anything here because you can't eat anything in this heat. It's almost detrimental to the health of your customers. I hope your employees don't have it as hard as your customers.

These people misunderstand everything and if you say that you got the wrong thing you will just get yelled at. Thanks again for the rip-off.

I wanted to order some fries at 9:30 a.m. The answer was, "Not until 10:30 a.m., they're just serving breakfast." I've never experienced that at McDonald's before. Sorry, I don't think that's acceptable.

My mother called McDonald's because two of her children are allergic to Big Mac sauce. Since she can't read or write well, she had trouble spelling. The employee humiliated her and asked why she didn't know her name. He acted like a professor—but forgot that he himself sometimes cleans the restrooms at McDonald's. Management should train their employees better in how to deal with people.

There is no machine for ordering, very few staff, and only one cashier counter for more than 10 customers. This should not be the level of a McDonald's in the city center of a developed country.

Unlike many other branches, orders are still placed through employees. The employee who took our order was visibly stressed, but the order was processed quickly. The food was the same as in the other branches. The women's restrooms were in a terrible condition; one of the three stalls was littered with toilet paper, and the other two were smeared with feces. Using them was impossible.

The food is okay. Sometimes the cheeseburger is a bit dry, but still edible. The wait times and the service at the checkout are absolutely terrible. Even at 11 a.m., when there are only three people in front of you at the checkout, you have to plan on at least 15 to 20 minutes before you even get a chance to order. As previously mentioned, the restaurant doesn't have order screens; you can only wait at the checkout and hope you get your food before the lunch break is over. This is primarily due to the ladies behind the cash register. There are six cash registers available, and they serve people all over the place. It's not about who gets there first, but who shouts the loudest. It's really disappointing and a shame that the nearest McDonald's is at the main train station. If you want something to eat here, you'll have to allow yourself plenty of time.

The food was cold and very messily packaged. The customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. The cashier repeatedly rolled her eyes while taking orders (not just mine) and showed a strong disinterest, as if she wanted to scare customers away. As I left, she repeatedly rolled her eyes at me and my mother and mimicked us, despite her poor service.

So, my visit to McDonald's was a real "highlight"—and not in a good way! First of all, we were so completely forgotten when ordering that I almost started holding up a sign saying "No service here." Maybe they thought we were in self-service mode! Unfortunately, that doesn't work when you don't even get a receipt, probably so you can't file a complaint... After we finally placed our orders (because we obviously have the patience of saints), the food arrived. All I can say is that I've rarely had such a disgusting combination of "I have no idea what this is" on my plate. The burger bun looked like it had fallen out of the "not-so-fresh" baked goods section. And the topping? Disgusting. Discolored, sticky, and old. The fries appeared to have been cooked in some new "moisture marinade." A taste journey: a bit like a roller coaster ride – you decide to go in, but at the end, you wonder how you ended up there! I'm already anticipating the next McDonald's commercial: "McDonald's – where the food is forgettable, but the flavors are unforgettable!" Never again!

To begin with, it's extremely warm in the shop, which is quite tiring. Our order took forever because they couldn't understand us. Two out of four orders were apparently deleted afterward. After 30 minutes, we all had our food. The fries were wobbly, some were unsalted, the burgers were drenched in sauce, and the buns were so soaked that some of them were mushy. I lost my hunger after a few bites. For a diet, 5 stars because you definitely don't want to eat anything, but otherwise, zero.

I was just there at 10:55 PM, and the salesperson was arguing with me because he turns off the deep fryer at that time. The company has set times from midnight sharp. And the menu is burger + side dish and a drink. Upon inquiry, the deep fryers aren't defective. No manager present. Compensation for damages.

My experience with McDonald's (order, May 18, 2025) was absolutely disappointing. The order (€53.79) was faulty: The cheeseburger in the Happy Meal had chicken burger sauce (dangerous for allergy sufferers!), the McCrispy and McChicken came with unwanted lettuce and sauce, and the fries were only half-filled. The cookies (€7.96) were so hard they were inedible – a huge disappointment for my children. Customer service was a disaster. After complaining, I was told to come in person, which isn't possible for me as a caregiver for a dependent family. Instead, I had to place a replacement order (€34.55). Lieferando only refunded €33.93, which neither covered the defective items (€37.53) nor the double delivery charges. The restaurant shifted responsibility back and forth, there were no callbacks, and no one felt responsible. This incident ruined our family evening, and their negligence regarding allergies was irresponsible. I cannot recommend McDonald's and will consider legal action if a full resolution is not offered.

I was there yesterday with my friends. We waited forever for our order. I should also mention that I got a Big Mac instead of a TS Burger. Except they didn't ask me what kind of fries I wanted. In the end, they didn't even give me a receipt. So, one star for cleanliness. That was the only good thing. I wouldn't recommend this McDonald's. I'd rather eat somewhere else.

This kind of thing leaves a bitter aftertaste. It's better to install vending machines if the employees can't manage to be nice and friendly.

McDonald's is open until midnight. So why aren't fries available after 10 p.m.? The staff is unmotivated. The floor was being cleaned while we were there, and the water that was poured out spilled over our feet. It was just a really weird vibe.

According to the staff, it's a raspberry cookie with white chocolate and they can't explain that it's apple. You want extra cheese on your sandwich - they don't add it because they don't. There is no problem with this everywhere in Germany - here they argue.
