Service unfriendly. Food very expensive and just okay. The steak and herb butter tasted like it was from the fridge. Stressed while eating, forced to walk quickly. Very loud. Add salt to sauces Seats, especially benches against the wall, uncomfortable. Ask about small ones!! Special requests were met with eye rolls. All in all very disappointing experience.

Ordered half duck and pork loin. The duck dumplings were still raw inside. The pork loin still bloody. The ambience is okay. Acoustically a challenge with heavy traffic.

A great restaurant quite inconspicuous from the outside. There is very good food, also typically Franconian. Very friendly staff I can only recommend it.

Ambience very nice and modern, service friendly and fast. Cordon Bleu was tasty, portion was OK. Schäufele was OK, seasoned a bit hesitantly. The cream schnitzel was not breaded, which was not on the menu. The meat was still very medium and quite pink, for pork... the sparrows were strangely sweet and more pancake-like. Side salad and savoy cabbage were great.

Very nice staff. The food was excellent and our little Shih Tzu was also welcome. We would be happy to come back.

We have eaten here several times and can therefore absolutely recommend this restaurant. The ambience is really great. On the one hand, it's really modern, but still very comfortable. Toilets also clean and well maintained. The service is very good. Even if the restaurant is full, you can get your drinks and food quickly. And now the most important thing... the food. Very tasty and just the right size. We would love to come back!!

Sehr freundlich bei der Reservierung für 7 Personen. Bei Ankunft war eingedeckt und die Bedienung nahm alle Getränkewünsche mit der nötigen Beratung entgegen. Die Weinauswahl war gut und die Preise verträglich. Die Speisen kamen zusammen , nachdem die 2 Vorspeisen verzehrt waren . Alle am Tisch fanden die Karte klein, aber sehr fein, und alle würden wiederkommen. H. Schmidt

The restaurant was quite full but the friendly waitress showed us a place at a table of six, even though there were only three of us. We felt very comfortable there. Our ordered beer was delivered after a short time. We liked the food (Tafelspitz with tagliatelle and horseradish sauce, as well as the Schäufele with dumplings and savoy cabbage) very much. It was a good idea to eat there.

We were two families with small children, the food was excellent and the service was perfect, as everything was there for the children too.

Bestes Schäufele seit Jahren, aber die Knödel wären wohl nicht hausgemacht sondern Convenience die Qualität ließ hier sehr zu wünschen übrig Die Leberknödelsuppe war sehr lecker und würzig, die Portion sehr klein, der Leberknödel selbst winzig. Unser Cordon Bleu war gut (aber etwas trocken) das am Nachbartisch war verbrannt Nachbestellung zum Essen wurde vergessen Für ein Restaurant in DER fränkischen Weinstadt sehr wenig Weine auf der Karte Servieren mit Serviette wäre toll, damit die Finger nicht den Teller berühren Das Personal war sehr flott und freundlich

Waren alle sehr zufrieden sehr gutes Schaufele mit Kloß und Wirsing sehr guten Tafelspitz und das Cordon bleu war spitze sehr freundliches Personal weiter so wir kommen wieder👍

Auch am 03.10.2024, trotz im Erdgeschoss und der oberen Etage gut besucht, ein super Service. Das Essen wie immer vorzüglich! Rundum alles zur besten Zufriedenheit. Weiter so.

Great food, quick service with wit and charm.

Wir hatten aufgrund der guten Bewertungen reserviert; leider ohne vorher den oberen Speiseraum in Augenschein zu nehmen: Ein kalt beleuchteter Saal ohne akustische Dämpfung durch Stoffe o.ä., so dass aus den Unterhaltungen der verschiedenen Gästegruppen ein wirklich nervig lauter Geräuschteppich entsteht. Das Essen an sich hat uns zwar geschmeckt, aber in dieser Umgebung leider überhaupt keinen Spass gemacht. Schade.

We always like to visit this restaurant when we are in Volkach and were thrilled this time too. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the selection of food is plentiful and varied. We chose chanterelles seasonally and were thrilled. The very tasty side salad is also worth mentioning. Fresh, crunchy and really tasty.

Crispy Schäufele with dumpling and savoy cabbage: "Men's portion", which could have been seasoned a little bolder. A little bit of sauce. Overall good, with delicious berry lemonade. Reasonably priced. Surprisingly busy at lunchtime even during the week. Reservation is definitely recommended...

Very nice restaurant in the middle of Volkach with a large beer garden. The food was the finest, the staff extremely accommodating and friendly. All of our “special requests” were fulfilled. I can only recommend the lily.

That was the perfect evening! Many thanks to the excellent chefs and the lightning-fast service team! Simply great and very, very tasty. We sat outside and had reserved in advance.

I ordered a Saltimbocca, when it arrived I unfortunately discovered that it was only chicken instead of veal as is usually the case with this dish. So the purchasing costs are of course significantly lower and in no way justify the price of €24.90 for this very manageable portion. In the photo you can imagine adding 3-4 potatoes. When I complained, I was "accommodatingly" given another portion of fried potatoes with sauce and I was charged the extra charge for the fried potatoes instead of the mashed potatoes on the menu (in my opinion, it doesn't go well with Saltimbocca), which would also have been due deleted. The sauce that was served with it didn't go well at all, it was a gravy and not a white wine sauce as usual. The name on the map was then changed correctly based on my advice. Furthermore, the price ratio doesn't fit at all. A room schnitzel in which the portions are at least twice as large and even includes a salad costs €20.90... The purchasing costs for the schnitzel are not much higher. The crowning conclusion was that after 1.5 hours we were asked to clear the table for the coming guests. We would have liked to stay longer and were notified that there would be no subsequent occupancy when we made our reservation. They offered to set up a table but we didn't want to cause these inconveniences. In terms of taste, it was good overall, but still not a really good experience due to the aspects mentioned, even if the friendly service did everything to limit the damage.

We went to the Lilie three times this week and were very satisfied each time. We particularly enjoyed the Saltimbocca. We cannot understand criticism of the prices. Quality has its justifiable price. The employees worked with dedication and heart. Unfortunately, we live 500 kilometers away, which is the only reason why the Lilie is no longer a regular restaurant for us. We will come back next time we visit Volkach.

Super nice beer garden, everything was very well maintained. Staff very friendly and the food was delicious. Can really recommend.

Basically there was nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, these mushrooms were a bit sparse in the pasta with chanterelles. When our super friendly waitress asked us about it, she apologized very nicely. We should have reacted immediately. There was a herbal liqueur on the house. Therefore nothing is left behind. The Schäufele looked really good. Nothing was missing from the cream schnitzel with salad. Therefore it gets full marks.

Bei unserem Ausflug nach Volkach haben wir eine Lokalität zum Mittagessen gesucht. Durch die überwiegend hervorragenden Bewertungen hier im Portal sind wir auf die Gasstätte Lilie gestoßen. Tolles Ambiente im Garten, sehr nettes Personal und super leckeres Essen. Auch eine Umbestellung der Beilagen (Salat statt Wirsinggemüse) war kein Problem. Wir wurden schnell bedient und auch das Essen ließ nicht lange auf sich warten. Das Schäufele ist auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert. Das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt hier wirklich. So stellt man sich eine fränkische Gaststätte vor. Hier hat wirklich alles gepasst!

We have eaten here several times since it reopened after the renovation. A very nice and lovingly furnished restaurant where you are warmly welcomed, even when there is a lot going on. Fine menu. The food and service are always first class. Special requests are also happy to be fulfilled.

I have never been so completely satisfied. Everything was really right there. We can really only recommend this. If you don't believe it, just try it out. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Auf Grund der guten Bewertungen in Tripadvisor habe ich hier vor meinem Kundentermin in der Geschenkewelt Volkach das Mittagessen eingenommen. Auf der Terrasse. Einen leckeren Sakat mit gratiniertem Ziegenkäse. Dazu Baguette. Ein Gedicht! Da wollte ich gleich noch mehr probieren, und bin abends nochmals hin. Jetzt wurde es deftiger. Das Schöufele mit Kloß und wirsinggemüse machte mich an Auch dieses war hervorragend! Das Lokal ist zudem innen wie außen sehr schön möbliert und gestaltet. Die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen und nicht umsonst hier als die Nr 1 in Volkach bewertet. Ich komme wieder!

Had dinner there again today. Due to the season, I had a pork neck steak with spaetzle and chanterelles. Simply great... Regional Franconian dishes at a high level. I personally think the vegetables and desserts are particularly great. Friendly staff. Clean place. My recommendation. As a vegetable lover, I ate saddle of venison with salsify vegetables and potatoes today. It was again extremely tasty. Kudos to the kitchen... Once again everything was perfect. Thank you very much and keep it up...

Spontaneously went into the courtyard, received a very warm welcome, ordered a salad with chanterelles and once a rack of lamb with fried potatoes, with a passion fruit spritzer, everything was super tasty 😋, the service was really nice and the ambience too, the cappuccino was mega, we can only recommend it!

The inner courtyard is highly recommended if the weather permits. We had Schäufle and chanterelles on salad. Both dishes were extremely tasty and worth recommending. Without exaggerating, we had our culinary highlight of the week at the Lilie.

Good home cooking with good, very attentive service. The restaurant is quietly located in the pedestrian zone. The prices are a little higher. The dining room is large and modern...the ambience of coziness is somewhat lacking...but still recommended for eating. There are no parking spaces at the house, you have to look for them...

Die Lilie erwies sich in Volkach bisher immer als sichere Bank. Hierbei sollte man sicherlich berücksichtigen, dass es sich um ein fränkisches Wirtshaus handelt und nicht um "fine dining". Die Mitarbeitenden sind auf Zack und haben selbst größere Gruppen sicher im Griff, ohne dass hier jemals das Gefühl von Massenabfertigung aufkäme. Die Speisen sind solide und schmackhaft zubereitet und fair eingepreist. Die Weinauswahl des örtlichen Weinguts "Leo Langer" könnte größer sein, hier geht es aber nicht um eine verkünstelte Weinkarte sondern um zügiges Vorwärtstrinken. Für uns ist die Lilie eindeutig die beste Adresse für gute, ehrliche und wohlschmeckende fränkische Küche in Volkach.

I wanted to eat here with my family, so I went into the restaurant and kindly asked the lady at the entrance if they also offered something vegan. She then said she could offer me fried potatoes, grilled vegetables and a side salad. I replied: "Great, thanks, I'll get my family" as I was leaving, another waiter said annoyed "or just go somewhere else" that wasn't intended for my ears, but I still heard it and did exactly that. Luckily, there are a lot of really nice restaurants in Volkach with respectful staff. It's a shame that you treat customers like this. Instead, we went to the Hinterhöfe beer garden, just a few meters away, where we experienced nice service and had a great meal.

This is where I ate the worst Schäufele of my life this week. Simply hot air dried in the oven, it's a bit tough and not edible. And that for €21.90.
