Koreanisches Restaurant Seoul in Düsseldorf

We had the Korean chicken wings, among other things. You can only eat them with your fingers, which is quite sticky. But it's absolutely worth the effort: the chicken wings are incredibly delicious and very filling. Beforehand, we were surprised to find a selection of appetizers that we hadn't ordered, but which apparently were part of the meal. They were also very tasty! The service was very warm and friendly. Overall, we felt really comfortable. Highly recommended!

Really nice Korean food with perfect service!

Hidden away from the main street of Little Tokyo, after a long search for an uncrowded restaurant, we found this absolute gem. There was such a wide selection of traditional Korean dishes at very reasonable prices. With so much to choose from, ordering was a little challenging, but the service was incredibly helpful. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say I experienced the best service of my life there. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was particularly pleasant.

The fried chicken was incredibly delicious. The portion was very large, so you'll definitely feel full. The service was also super friendly and attentive! Highly recommended!

The food at this Korean restaurant was absolutely amazing — everything tasted fresh and authentic, and the atmosphere was really nice. We had a great time overall. However, the owner’s attitude during payment was a bit off-putting. He insisted we either pay in cash or add 3 euros extra to pay by card, which didn’t feel very polite or customer-friendly. It was an awkward way to end an otherwise wonderful dining experience.

The taste was not that great and the staff was rude, so I don't think I'll go there again.

It was really nice experience in Dusseldorf. The food was close to authentic taste of Korea and the staff was amazingly kind and sweet. I would recommend this place to others who also want to experience Korean food. + You can also freely ask to change most of the menu as Vegan way. That is the true plus point of this place for sure

Everything about them is amazing. My friend and I ordered two drinks, Mandu as an appetizer, and spicy Chicken Wings. We were first surprised with a Chef's Thank you, with an assortment of free 9 vegan vegan starters. Then the appetizer and the chicken wings arrived. They were spicy for a European taste, but not enough for us. So we requested them something extra. We were given a sauce with a warning that it we need the firemen to rescue us. Just a little dip was enough for make me rethink all my life choices. I used it with caution afterwards and enjoyed every bit of it. In the end, we were both full. And we still got some leftovers to pack. All of this for a modest 33euros for two people. Definitely a great bargain. Would recommend this place to everyone.

We had a delicious, authentic Korean meal. Luckily, it wasn't overly busy on a weekday lunchtime, so we were able to dine with a group of nine without a reservation. The service was friendly and helpful.

Presumably, it was the owner who was extremely unfriendly to customers. There were hardly any customers in the restaurant, and the tables were empty. I was offered the worst seat. When I asked for another table, he became extremely unfriendly!

Unfortunately, I don't have any comparison values, but there were five of us there, and only one of us enjoyed it. The duck was very dry, everything else was incredibly bland. There wasn't a single ounce of salt or pepper; if that's normal for this kind of food, then it simply wasn't our cup of tea. It was either spicy or bland, with no other flavors to be found. We were very disappointed. The only thing we liked was the pickled radish (courtesy of the kitchen). Unfortunately, the ambiance wasn't great either. In the dining room, a table was propped up against a wall, and underneath it were dozens of boxes. It lacked coziness or style. But what was really awful was the floor in the restrooms. With every step, the sole of your shoe would stick, and then when you took it off, that noise. Simply awful, and that shouldn't be allowed. It was as if you'd just mopped the floor with Coke. And then you couldn't even pay with a card. Only for larger amounts. Almost impossible to manage as a single payer.

We've been here several times and have been satisfied every time. Welcoming, pleasant atmosphere, and great food!

What a super nice experience. The side dishes were delicious, the tteotboki was incredible and the fried chicken was so good, and such a BIG portion. The kimchi cheese was too cheesy and too little kimchi in my opinion but honestly the experience was great, the service was incredible. Will come back again for sure

We were there for the first time today and have to say, we were thrilled. The staff were super-friendly and super-fast. The dishes were delicious and filling, but not too big, and beautifully presented. We were also very surprised when we were served several small snacks to try on the house. That made the experience even more enjoyable. Even when we left, all the staff were very kind and thanked us and said goodbye. That's not something you can take for granted these days. We will definitely come back and try our way through the menu.

I was here for lunch and was not disappointed. The food is very good. The presentation is also beautiful. I had fried shrimp as a starter. They were very well seasoned and served with fried vegetables. For my main course, I had a classic bibimbap and was absolutely satisfied. It was served in a hot stone bowl, and the rice came with plenty of fresh and delicious side dishes. Overall, we were all very satisfied and definitely want to come back here again.

I ordered octopus bibimbap and the rice was so wet, which was almost porridge like. The stirred fried noodles were also nothing special: plain and oily. The young waiter was super friendly though. One more thing to note: we ordered cola and sprite but they came out directly with glasses. You can feel there was almost no gases since they were from opened big bottles.

It was really delicious! It was the best Korean food I've had in Germany! ㅠ ㅠ

I enjoyed the Jjajangmyeon, Jjambbong, and Sweet and Sour Pork very deliciously. There are also 9 side dishes. The price is cheaper during lunch hours, but please note that they only accept cash for orders under 30 euros. The friendly owner and the lady wearing a pretty hanbok welcome you very nicely.

My new favorite Korean restaurant in Düsseldorf! *.* Authentic Korean cuisine. Every single dish we had was incredibly delicious, and the many side dishes were also fantastic. Absolutely reasonable value for money! We paid just under €65 for two people, including two drinks, and all the dishes. Vegetarians will also find something to eat! Many dishes can be prepared vegetarian upon request. :) Vegans will also find something, but the selection is more limited. It's just a bit noisy inside. Otherwise, there was really nothing to complain about :) I'll be back! 🥰

Super delicious. We tried everything on the menu: ttebokki, sarang duck, tempura, wonton soup, magekoli sparkle, and the fantastic chicken wings. The duck was a bit dry for me personally, but the sweet and sour sauce balanced it out nicely. The sauce tasted homemade, too. The ttebokki was really good, too. Not at all spicy like I'm used to, but more aromatic with just a hint of chili. Highly recommended. We'll be back.

Das Restaurant ist hübsch eingerichtet und wirkt wie ein echtes Restaurant. Also nicht so asiatisch steril, wie man es von vielen anderen Koreanern in der Bahnhofsgegend kennt. Wir waren unter der Woche um 18 Uhr ohne Reservierung dort und hatten kein Problem, einen Tisch zu bekommen. Der Service ist freundlich, könnte aber ein bisschen aufmerksamer sein, speziell wenn es darum geht, weitere Getränke zu verkaufen. Das Essen war in Ordnung, aber wir fanden die Portionen deutlich zu klein für das Preisniveau. Die Portion Bulgogi kostet 20 €, aber die Größe der Fleischportion wirkte eher wie ein Kinderteller. Auch die Beilagenschälchen enthielten für die Anzahl der Personen am Tisch deutlich zu wenig Inhalt. Das koreanische Spezialgericht, das es in drei Schärfen gibt, also chicken wings in süßsaurer Marinade, war geschmacklich auch eher durchschnittlich und nicht besonders knusprig. Ich habe das Essen gut vertragen und habe grundsätzlich an der Küche nichts auszusetzen, finde aber einfach das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis unrund.

I travel a lot in Europe and this is the best korean restaurant. The taste, portion and price are all good. Im pretty sure that you guys gonna love it.

Authentic, warm, and delicious – a true piece of Korea in Düsseldorf It's not without reason that Seoul is the oldest Korean restaurant in Düsseldorf – it impresses with its genuine family tradition and authentic flair. The service was excellent: A young waiter took plenty of time to give us a detailed introduction to the menu and Korean food culture. He explained which dishes were classic or modern interpretations, how to season them in a typical Korean way, and how the food is served – for example, in a hot pot or on a hot stone. Very friendly and extremely competent! The food arrived promptly – both the appetizer and main course were served promptly. We had the traditional seafood pancake PaJeon (해물파전) for our starter – crispy on the outside, moist on the inside, and full of flavor. For our main courses, we chose Nagji Dolsotbap (낙지 돌솥밥) and Jingeo Dolsotbap (오징어 돌솥밥) – both rice dishes with octopus and squid, respectively, served in a hot stone pot, which makes the rice wonderfully crispy on the bottom. I also had Jajangmyeon (자장면) – handmade noodles with vegetables and pork in a deeply aromatic black soybean paste. A real highlight! The waiter's favorite, by the way, is Jjamppong (짬뽕) – a spicy seafood soup, which we will definitely try next time. The numerous traditional side dishes (banchan) are particularly worth mentioning, as they complement the meal wonderfully. An all-around harmonious experience – original, delicious, and highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience authentic Korean cuisine!

We went to Seoul Restaurant on a whim and haven't regretted the decision. Six of us were there on the Friday of Japan Week, and we still managed to get a nice table for our group right away. The food was incredibly delicious, and the service was accommodating to our requests and friendly when we had questions about a dish. We didn't have to wait long for our food either. There are many options for vegetarians. It's particularly commendable that they offered a round of small appetizers on the house, allowing you to get to know various Korean dishes better. It would have been cool if you could have also found out the names of the dishes if you liked them. What I found annoying was that I later noticed the €1.20 charge per to-go package on the receipt. It would have been better if this had been mentioned beforehand (when we asked) instead of being billed silently. What would also be incredibly cool would be a bulgogi option for vegetarians and vegans. Bulgogi is truly the jewel of Korean cuisine and something I miss terribly as a vegetarian. Nevertheless, it was a great experience, and I'm already looking forward to visiting Seoul Restaurant Düsseldorf again sometime soon.

Nice family restaurant with a variety of Korean dishes. The cold noodles and zajiangmeon were particularly delicious. The cheese kimchi pancakes and fried chicken were also delicious. Very friendly and welcoming service. We'd definitely come back.

Seoul Korean Restaurant in Düsseldorf is a great place to eat authentic Korean food. I had the Bibimbap, and it was absolutely delicious. It was fresh, well-seasoned, and served sizzling hot in a stone bowl. The side dishes were also great. What made the experience even more special was the kind older man who served some of the dishes. He was very warm and made us feel truly welcome. This place is a place to enjoy both the food and the heartfelt service!

Top service but a little bit disappointed with the tischgrill because they are the one cooking for you We are expecting that we will be the one grilling the meat and vegetables. The menu says veggies, marinated pork,etc. But it was served to us in a cooking pan with a portable stove, already cooked and mixed just like another type of dish. 😅 Cartilage beef stew is really delicious and generous amount of meat. Side dishes were ok.

Four of us were there for the first time. Good Korean food. Could have been a bit more cozy. Prices are perfectly reasonable. Lots of Asians. Service is very friendly and well-informed. The best part is that you get a variety of different appetizers to try. There are three levels of spiciness, so feel free to try everything.

Great selection for both meat eaters and vegetarians and good food. The Korean chicken wings ("God of Chicken") were plentiful and deliciously seasoned. Overall, a good alternative to the completely overcrowded “In-Asian restaurants” in Düsseldorf.

The Jjajangmyeon tastes exactly like the Jjajangmyeon I had in Korea. I heard that they make their own noodles, so this is where they got rid of their regrets about Jjajangmyeon. -- Above is a review from my first visit. It's been a while since I recently visited, and I thought I should revise my rating a bit. The taste of Jajangmyeon was still good. However, when I asked to pay by card, the owner responded surprisingly unfriendly, which shocked me and my friend, who was visiting for the first time. Even though there was a sign at the counter saying ECKarte payments for amounts over 40 euros were accepted (a sign on the front door says they only accept cash).

Tasty and mostly authentic dishes in this pretty spacious restaurant. Compared to similar Korean restaurants, the price-quality ratio is also quite acceptable.

Wir haben einen Tisch reserviert, bei der Reservierung extra angefragt ob ein Hund mit rein darf, am Telefon hieß es, dass wäre kein Problem. Als wir da waren wurden wir nicht reingelassen, keine Hunde erlaubt. Wir haben nachgefragt warum es uns am Telefon anders gesagt wurde, daraufhin wurde der Mitarbeiter am Empfang unhöflich. Nie wieder!

We really enjoyed it there and immediately felt at home. The host couple is great, the boss took such loving care of our baby. The food and service were great anyway, totally recommended! PS: Compared to some restaurants in the neighborhood, there are no lines in front of the restaurant and it's very relaxed.

Great authentic restaurant. We were there in the evening when they opened and managed to get a table without a reservation. Ein wirkliches Erlebnis war das Essen am vergangenen Samstag Abend. Dringende Empfehlung: bitte reservieren Sie vorher, da es oft so gut besucht ist, dass es keine Plätze für Spontanbesucher gibt. Wir hatten Glück, dass wir einen Platz auch ohne Reservierung finden konnten. Es war unser erstes Mal (für mich seit vielen Jahren das erste Mal), dass wir koreanisch essen waren. Das ganze Erlebnis möchte ich hier nicht schildern, obwohl es eines längeren Berichtes würdig gewesen wäre, aber ich möchte mich hier kurzfassen 1. Das Essen war perfekt, tolle Zubereitung, frisch, vom Geschmack besonders, allerhöchste Bewertung von mir, da ich noch nie so gut gegessen habe wie hier, ich habe schon sehr viele tolle Geschmackserlebnisse gehabt, aber das hob sich hier noch deutlich ab von allen anderen Restaurants, in denen ich gegessen habe 2. Die Bedienung hat mir sehr geholfen, gemäß der Tradition in Korea zu essen und nicht, wie ich zuerst dachte. Die Hilfsbereitschaft, Freundlichkeit und der gesamte Service war einfach perfekt 3. Die Atmosphäre war wundervoll, wir haben uns absolut wohl gefühlt 4. Der Preis war absolut preiswert, ich war von der Gesamtrechnung sehr positiv überrascht Ich werde auf jeden Fall dieses Restaurant jederzeit weiterempfehlen und freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch dort im wunderschönen Düsseldorf

Best Korean restaurant in Düsseldorf! Super warm staff, especially the Godfather :D We now come there with several people almost every week to eat and drink! It's always a pleasure, you can tell that the dishes are prepared with attention to detail. Good quality food is important and this is lived here. I'm really, really excited, everything was great! From the food to the service! The staff were all very warm and friendly ❤️❤️❤️ the food was so delicious that three days later I'm still thinking about how good it tasted! I would love to come back!!! The team is well coordinated, you don't have to wait long and they were friendly too. What I didn't like was: - the portion for 2 (table grill) was the same size as for 1 person - what wasn't supposed to be spicy was hell-spicy - what was supposed to be spicy was not spicy at all - Neither the chicken nor the beef dish tasted good - the leaves in which you were supposed to wrap the dish were not cooked, but raw, so it was a mess with your fingers and didn't work - the additional vegetables (in small bowls) were raw - the toilet area was somehow not maintained - we weren't full despite the starter and main course - we've never finished eating out so quickly All in all not recommended.

The quality and taste are not quite close to authentic Korean restaurants, I can tell you this because I’ve been to Korea many times. I had bibimbap, fried chicken, grilled pork belly, grilled pork with tofu, and seafood pancake. The grilled pork belly is also very very thin !!! and others are soso, especially bibimbap you could have done better. For this price, the quality should be much better. :(

I ate here in 2022. We ordered Tteobeokki, Jjangmyeon, Mandu and Bimpab. We paid €70 for everything on the table. Approx. €23 per person. I can't recommend the jjangmyeong, in my opinion it didn't have much flavor and was too unsalted. The tteobokki were ok but didn't blow me away. The starters were okay and free, but the portions were very small. In general you can do a very average restaurant but you don't have to.

Ups and downs. So that it doesn't become a review of a one-time experience, I have now been to Seoul 6 times at different times of the day and on different days. The price-performance ratio is good. The good first: +++ Authenticity of the food ++ Quality of the food ++ Taste of the food The not so good: - - - Service tends to forget something, but is friendly and quick when you remember it. Happened more than once. - - - They cleanliness is a bit difficult. It would be so easy, for example, to dust off the wall decorations, clean sticky seats, etc. - - Plates tend to have a lot of space. Not bad, but it doesn't have to be that way. - - When paying you have a clear view of the kitchen. I'll put it this way... authentically Asian... also when it comes to the use of the cloth. Conclusion: Food is authentic and good in taste and quality. The rest is pretty Asian and could be much better with very simple means. It's a good place to go to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine.

Good tasty food, large portions (we ordered four different stews). The homemade drinks (iced tea) are also very tasty. The owner (older gentleman) who let us in was a bit rude, our interaction with him was limited to less than a minute, thank God. All the waitresses and the young waiter were very polite. We had some of the food packed (two cardboard bowls were used for this). We were then charged 1.20 euros for each cardboard bowl, without us being told in advance that packing was not free. We only discovered the amount later on the bill...

Kimchi - Jeon (starter, 14 euros): very small portion. Taste underground (was strangely sour). 0/10 Bulgogi (20 euros): very small portion. I don't understand why this is fried on a bell where all the liquid/marinade flows outwards and only dry meat remains. Completely unnecessary. Also far too few vegetables. 1/10 Spicy pork (18 Eur): Taste okay, meat doesn't taste particularly fresh. 4/10 Side dishes: 5/10. Not particularly tasty, but a large selection. Drinks: Cola almost non-carbonated. Of course it could also be an isolated case. 2/10 Conclusion: Never again. I was here years ago and told myself that back then. But it definitely hasn't gotten any better. Heartlessly prepared food. Outdated facility. A restaurant like this would never survive in Frankfurt or Korea, but in Düsseldorf every Korean restaurant seems to run. I have no idea where all the positive reviews come from. When we were there, there weren't any Koreans there (as far as I could tell). I can't imagine that Koreans would come here again after a visit. The only positive thing was the quick service. My honest opinion: save yourself the visit!

Fantastic. We really enjoyed our lunch and dinner (2 separate trips) here and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was and all the delicious side dishes (which were included in our meal and were a lovely surprise).

This was the tastiest Korean food I have ever eaten in Düsseldorf! The best ingredients! The best service! The boss and a young employee in particular were super friendly, thank you both! Unfortunately, an older gentleman was very unfriendly - were you annoyed because guests were eating at your place? Apart from that, everything was great, I can only recommend the restaurant.

M.E. Original Korean cuisine. I also know her from my Korean friend. One criterion for me is the kimchi. It tastes very good in the Seoul restaurant. Definitely not sour...but, of course, it's all a matter of taste. Food is very tasty, prices are reasonable. Staff very polite and accommodating.
