Best Korean restaurant in Düsseldorf! Super warm staff, especially the Godfather :D We now come there with several people almost every week to eat and drink! It's always a pleasure, you can tell that the dishes are prepared with attention to detail. Good quality food is important and this is lived here. We particularly recommend God of Chicken, Pa Jeon and Bulgogi. See you next week for somek :)

I'm really, really excited, everything was great! From the food to the service! The staff were all very warm and friendly ❤️❤️❤️ the food was so delicious that three days later I'm still thinking about how good it tasted! I would love to come back!!! And the kimchi was really the best thing I had eaten so far!!!!🤤❤️❤️❤️

The team is well coordinated, you don't have to wait long and they were friendly too. What I didn't like was: - the portion for 2 (table grill) was the same size as for 1 person - what wasn't supposed to be spicy was hell-spicy - what was supposed to be spicy was not spicy at all - Neither the chicken nor the beef dish tasted good - the leaves in which you were supposed to wrap the dish were not cooked, but raw, so it was a mess with your fingers and didn't work - the additional vegetables (in small bowls) were raw - the toilet area was somehow not maintained - we weren't full despite the starter and main course - we've never finished eating out so quickly All in all not recommended.

The quality and taste are not quite close to authentic Korean restaurants, I can tell you this because I’ve been to Korea many times. I had bibimbap, fried chicken, grilled pork belly, grilled pork with tofu, and seafood pancake. The grilled pork belly is also very very thin !!! and others are soso, especially bibimbap you could have done better. For this price, the quality should be much better. :(

I ate here in 2022. We ordered Tteobeokki, Jjangmyeon, Mandu and Bimpab. We paid €70 for everything on the table. Approx. €23 per person. I can't recommend the jjangmyeong, in my opinion it didn't have much flavor and was too unsalted. The tteobokki were ok but didn't blow me away. The starters were okay and free, but the portions were very small. In general you can do a very average restaurant but you don't have to.

Ups and downs. So that it doesn't become a review of a one-time experience, I have now been to Seoul 6 times at different times of the day and on different days. The price-performance ratio is good. The good first: +++ Authenticity of the food ++ Quality of the food ++ Taste of the food The not so good: - - - Service tends to forget something, but is friendly and quick when you remember it. Happened more than once. - - - They cleanliness is a bit difficult. It would be so easy, for example, to dust off the wall decorations, clean sticky seats, etc. - - Plates tend to have a lot of space. Not bad, but it doesn't have to be that way. - - When paying you have a clear view of the kitchen. I'll put it this way... authentically Asian... also when it comes to the use of the cloth. Conclusion: Food is authentic and good in taste and quality. The rest is pretty Asian and could be much better with very simple means. It's a good place to go to enjoy authentic Korean cuisine.

Good tasty food, large portions (we ordered four different stews). The homemade drinks (iced tea) are also very tasty. The owner (older gentleman) who let us in was a bit rude, our interaction with him was limited to less than a minute, thank God. All the waitresses and the young waiter were very polite. We had some of the food packed (two cardboard bowls were used for this). We were then charged 1.20 euros for each cardboard bowl, without us being told in advance that packing was not free. We only discovered the amount later on the bill...

Kimchi - Jeon (starter, 14 euros): very small portion. Taste underground (was strangely sour). 0/10 Bulgogi (20 euros): very small portion. I don't understand why this is fried on a bell where all the liquid/marinade flows outwards and only dry meat remains. Completely unnecessary. Also far too few vegetables. 1/10 Spicy pork (18 Eur): Taste okay, meat doesn't taste particularly fresh. 4/10 Side dishes: 5/10. Not particularly tasty, but a large selection. Drinks: Cola almost non-carbonated. Of course it could also be an isolated case. 2/10 Conclusion: Never again. I was here years ago and told myself that back then. But it definitely hasn't gotten any better. Heartlessly prepared food. Outdated facility. A restaurant like this would never survive in Frankfurt or Korea, but in Düsseldorf every Korean restaurant seems to run. I have no idea where all the positive reviews come from. When we were there, there weren't any Koreans there (as far as I could tell). I can't imagine that Koreans would come here again after a visit. The only positive thing was the quick service. My honest opinion: save yourself the visit!

Wonderful, welcoming restaurant, fast service and delicious, authentic Korean cuisine. Lots of choice and side dishes, loved the crispy chicken. As a scouser (who loves Korean TV on Netflix) visiting family in Dusseldorf this meal really made our trip extra special.

Fantastic. We really enjoyed our lunch and dinner (2 separate trips) here and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was and all the delicious side dishes (which were included in our meal and were a lovely surprise).

Authentic and wonderfully tasty. Lots of banchan, the meat was very tender and I needed the homemade ssamjang twice. Very friendly, attentive staff. We are already looking forward to the next time. Thanks!

M.E. Original Korean cuisine. I also know her from my Korean friend. One criterion for me is the kimchi. It tastes very good in the Seoul restaurant. Definitely not sour...but, of course, it's all a matter of taste. Food is very tasty, prices are reasonable. Staff very polite and accommodating.

This was the tastiest Korean food I have ever eaten in Düsseldorf! The best ingredients! The best service! The boss and a young employee in particular were super friendly, thank you both! Unfortunately, an older gentleman was very unfriendly - were you annoyed because guests were eating at your place? Apart from that, everything was great, I can only recommend the restaurant.

The food has a very small portion. The rib soup was tasteless. When i say tasteless, it means it tastes like water. Not even adding salt didnt help at all. The interior was nice but the old man who was working there was very unpolite

The food was very tasty and the staff was super friendly. We had two grilled dishes and starters. The price-performance ratio is definitely right, we expected more! But you should make a reservation, we only just managed to get a table.

Authentic, delicious and fair prices. The best dish “SP27”. The boss's insider tip. Don't let anyone talk you out of it, he's trying to hold it back for his regulars. He himself loves to answer every question you have on your mind. If he has taken you to his heart, he will take the soup spoon out of your hand while you eat and stir your soup. A strangely special experience at the top level. Try it yourself and enjoy it.

Totally recommending !! I loved the waiter, he was amazing, tried to recommend dishes but at the same time didn't use it as a thing to pressure us to get anything. Also loved his "OH NO, it's gone" when I asked for menu once again and he saw that indeed someone took our menu. Food was amazing, both spiciness as well as flavor. My only issue is pay, they only offer cash payments and sadly due to that fact, I had to order less that I wanted, because I wasn't prepared for that. I wish, they would change that in the future. Beside that, everything was perfect 😋👍

Authentic, delicious and peaceful. This is how you feel in Seoul. The service and the food were TOP. Of course it was expensive but for a good restaurant you can definitely pay this and it's still within reason.

I'm here for the third time, this time I took my parents with me and all three of us got food poisoning a few hours later. We now know what it was that we first suspected was shrimp and seaweed soup: The kimchi in the side dishes had a very sour, even a bit bitter taste. It's actually a shame, the food is delicious and I like coming here, my parents also liked it. However, if you're busy throwing up for the next two days, you'll quickly lose the fun

The food was super delicious! The best kimchi I've eaten in a long time. The vegetable mandu were also very tasty and crispy. The homemade “Watermelon Cactus” iced tea that was temporarily available was super refreshing! I also had kimbap, which was also really tasty. It felt like the iced tea was brought after less than a minute, and the food came a short time later. My reorder was brought to my table super quickly. The waitresses/owners are super nice and sometimes chat to the customers. The table behind me didn't know much about Korean culture, but it was explained to them with enthusiasm, as is usual in Korea. (It was about the side dishes to the main course). I was there at 2 p.m. and there weren't many people there, but there were apparently some reservations for the evening. I definitely felt comfortable and will come back on my next visit to Düsseldorf :).

Had dinner there for the second time as a family. The first time it was a top, the second time it was a flop. Starting with hygiene. This time the table was greasy and sticky again. The staff reacted rudely when we, like many other reviewers, criticized the portions. The menu is not clear. Salad as a side dish consists of 3 loose leaves. No time to enjoy. The table was completely cleared, even though one person was still in the middle of eating. Card payment was excluded. We will not be coming back and will not recommend the Seoul Restaurant.

We came across this restaurant by chance and the name made me curious because I'm interested in Korean cuisine. We wanted to try the kimpab, but there were only vegetarian options, so we opted for chapche and bulgogi. It was very delicious. Unfortunately, I don't eat very spicy foods, so these dishes were perfect for me. The service was very friendly and I was allowed to take a photo with the employee as a souvenir I will definitely come back 👍🏻

I live in Düsseldorf and have tried almost every Korean. We tried multiple dishes. It wasn’t for us. We found the Japchae to be the best of our orders. It had a lot of msg in it. The beef stew with glass noodle was ok. The pancake missed cruchiness, was a bit too sour and salty for me. The kimchi soup was oversoured. The Yuk hoe missed some flavor. The Korean fried chicken reminded me of Chinese gu Lao rou and it could have more crunchiness and juiciness. The cold noodles was just spicy and vinegary sour.

Nice little restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The food is reasonably priced with large portions and fresh good food. Furthermore, the staff is very friendly!

The food is always delicious but the service is poor, if you go there alone they won't serve you because they don't have a free table! Mean!!!

We had lunch at this restaurant on Saturday. We came without a reservation, but we were immediately offered a large table for five. All the ordered dishes were delicious and beautifully presented, with a homemade taste. The portions were quite large, with plenty of appetizers. The waitstaff were very polite and attentive, and the service was fast. The prices are quite reasonable for the central district. We were satisfied. 🫶🏻 We recommend this place to everyone who loves authentic Korean cuisine! 🇰🇷

The food wasn't bad, but the owner's unpleasant attitude makes me not want to go there again. I wondered why there were so few Koreans, but I guess it was because they were selectively friendly to Germans.

Das Lokal ist sehr empfehlenswert. Wir wurden freundlich bedient. Das Essen war prima wurde mit Liebe zubereitet und mit etlichen Beilagen serviert. Es wurde sehr auf Sauberkeit geachtet. Echter Geheimtipp, welchen wir durch Zufall fanden. Und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist ebenfalls top.

Among the barren German food, the Korean food buff I haven't eaten in a long time may have played a role, but it was so delicious... There were a lot of side dishes, but they were all neat and seasoned just right, and the plating was so pretty! The interior design of the restaurant didn't have a vaguely oriental feel, but it felt like a lot of care had been put into it, and the soybean paste stew tasted like my mom made it, and it kept reminding me of it because it had a lot of beef... The staff and the owner were also kind, and it was a meal that showed great care in the food. I ate with satisfaction. Even in Korea, this level of quality is rare. May you prosper🥰

I don't want to go there again. I think it's a place with authoritarianism, unfriendliness, and the basic mindset of the service industry itself. The strength and weakness can be understood in just a few words. The food is delicious and I don't think I'll go again.

The food was ok, the employee is very nice but the owner is really very strange, strange and unfriendly. You can't look for a seat yourself, even though the restaurant is completely empty. You MUST sit against the wall if there are two people sitting at the table for four. No recommendation.

You cleverly didn’t address my main point of my review - your rude treatment and your attitude which is “WE WILL TREAT YOU BAD. SHUTUP AND EAT OR LEAVE.”. If all your cared was the other customers dining experience, why did you mention about your already existing headache and the baby whining made it worse. As you clearly mentioned, you didn’t even try to express your concerns or a warning. You only approached our table just to ask us to leave. BTW, we had to search for an ATM in a new city because your debit/credit payment was broken and that why they were waiting and feeding the baby before making the order. Everyone well understands the respects for others in public place. Please don’t hide your arrogance with your parenting lecture. Your name sake “sorry for inconvenience” won’t cover up for your attitude. Too sad, Google doesn’t allow comments to the replies to reviews.

Incredibly good food, we absolutely loved it, from the starter to the dessert. We found our way to this restaurant, which looks somewhat inconspicuous from the outside, with our two children (3 and 8 years old) and I haven't eaten this good and authentic food in a long time. The service was great, very child-friendly, our oldest couldn't stop praising us at all. We will definitely come back here.

The owner was very rude and not welcoming. And told us he doesn’t need our money. We will never recommend this place because of the poor service. “I don’t need your money” I’m he said this because we have a darker skin color.

We went to the Seoul Restaurant for the first time today and now we have a new favorite Korean restaurant! All dishes were prepared with love and you could taste it. The kimchi was particularly delicious for me. Gamsahamnida! We will be back!

The couple who run the restaurant are very nice and accommodating. We have been coming here to eat when we are in Düsseldorf for over 10 years. Taste and quality is right. The Korean chicken is a delight. Mild and very spicy. Extremely spicy is just painful :D and we can tolerate a lot.

Even though my colleague and I were there on a busy Friday evening when you should come with a reservation, we received a very friendly and warm welcome right from the start! I have rarely experienced that in a restaurant. We then got a reserved table, but the people were too late. Food was also really tasty. The portions could be a bit larger but otherwise everything was great.

Too expensive for what it offers. The beef wok barely has any beef in it.

Delicious food. Many young people - my daughter, who usually only eats pasta with butter or chicken nuggets, even orders dishes with vegetables here. The ambience is okay, but the air is not great and the floor is very greasy.

The old male owner was incredibly arrogant and not nice at all! Never again!

Very recommended. The best Kimchi Jiggae I have had. The amount is good and it comes with side dishes. But just remember to bring cash because they don’t accept card.

An excellent Korean restaurant. Our family has recent Korean experience, and the food here is completely true to the original Korean. The atmosphere is cozy, familiar, and the service is very friendly and accommodating. The dishes are prepared very tasty and are consistently delicious. The price-performance ratio is very good and with one of the well-composed menus you get a typical variety of Korean courses with a correspondingly large selection of side dishes, which can always be refilled upon request. All typical Korean drinks are also offered, but also local beers and wines. We will definitely come back and recommend the visit without reservation.

Think the owner is having a bad week or something similar. However, in de service industry you have to remain professional, respectfull and customer orientated, which unfortunatelly did not happen this time. We generally go here once every 1 or 2 months or so, but were treated so weirdly rude by the owner yesterday that we will not go anymore. Basically can confirm the previous review. Owner saw us come in and before we even said anything just said there were no tables available. Not even asking if we had reservations or anything else. Restaurant just opened, it was 17:40. Maybe the older gentleman has great memory and knows all people that reserved, but having been in the business myself I have to say I always confirm if they have reservations (people can be early sometimes) or at least provide a potential wait time. Pity, the lady and other service staff are nice. But he is often at the front of the house, being the first person you see. Food is good, side dishes very good, atmosphere is so-so. If you don't mind a potential moodkiller then go enjoy a nice Korean style meal. For us it left a bad aftertaste for an otherwise splendid day out despite the rainy weather.

Fantastic food! Really very authentic and varied. The large selection makes it difficult to decide. We were very happy with everything and were very happy about the free small side dishes that were included with the main courses. The service was present and friendly. The atmosphere was nice so far. Not really a great experience, guy at the entry is Rude or have no knowledge of German,he told us - NO PLACE,NO PLACE - as we called at 19 o clock to book a table,and got info no need,i waited to tell him the same - magic happened and one table got free- that showes this guy has no overview. We ordered service is Good no doubt,staff is friendly, starters are good - but main course price value is Zero,as its kind of starter in another form. On top we were having our starters and not even finished but main course was already been served - it was like u stuff in the food and just get lost. I was there before once with freinds and we paid by card - this time suddenly CASH ONLY - when we asked where is next ATM suddenly cards were accepted- did not really understood. For me its no more place due to rude greetings from a guy who does not even know his own place and than PLS EAT AND GULP AND LEAVE - u r paying but have no rights to enjoy ur food.

Not worth a second visit,guy at front is rude and hv no idea abt his place,first reply - no place no place- within 2 min a table got free and there is place,staff is friendly,starters are OK,but main course is just bigger version of starters -especially if u want to have octopus,korean BBQ mentioned on menu is fake,its just a gas burner heating ur pan,but no BBQ on table,our main course is seved when we not even finished our starters,so pls GULP OR SWALLOW AND JUST LEAVE - u r not here to enjoy ur food. Than we take only cash - which is not mentioned anywhere,suddenly cards are also accepted- not sure being family owned business they handle the place like their home……not recommended and for me forsure NOT AGAIN.

It was nice that the menu was diverse, so there was a lot of food for my family to choose from according to their tastes. Kimbap, bossam, bulgogi, black bean noodles, jjamppong, etc. were all delicious.

Everything was very nice , the food was good . The only thing I would say bad was the meat was dry in this dish .

I found this cute authentic Korean restaurant in Düsseldorf. This place was really authentic, we had some bossam and jjajangmyeon with a lot of banchan only thing missing was a bowl of soup like they do in Korea And I loved loved the potato banchan. It was potato with soja and honey

Am Eingang wird man von einem schlecht gelaunten Mann begrüßt, ich denke, es ist der Inhaber. Der blafft jeden an "haben Sie reserviert?". Die restlichen Kellner, teilweise seine Kinder, waren deutlich freundlicher und versuchten es wohl zu kompensieren. Waren zu 6 da, hatten aber leider nur einen Platz am Eingang. Es fühlte sicj leider wie ein Abstellplatz oder Platz zweiter Klasse an. Der Tisch war ein Klapptisch, während die anderen Tischen schöne dicke Holztische sind. Die Stühle waren billige Plastistühle, wärend die anderen Gäste auf bequemen Stühlen saßen. Das hat mir keiner bei der Reservierung gesagt. Also wir haben uns wirklich wie Gäste zweiter Klasse gefühlt, obwohl wir ja natürlich den normalem Preis bezahlt halben. Das Essen war ok. Es war wirklich nicht lecker. Obwohl wir auf Grund der guten Bewertung hierhin gekommen sind. Wir gehen auch regelmäßig koreanisch essen und können sagen, dass es in Laufweite mind. 3 viel bessere Koreaner gibt. Wir werden auf keinen Fall wiederkommen.
