Bibimcup in Düsseldorf

The restaurant is located right on a busy street. If you're lucky you'll even get a parking space right next to it. Otherwise in the parking garages in the area. The restaurant itself is comfortably furnished. There is a bright area with a bar directly at the large window and a slightly darker area at the back. There is also the option to sit outside. However, the terrace is on the pedestrian path and not so comfortable, as the street is directly adjacent. The food is delicious and served appetizingly prepared. There were 3 of us and we each had a starter and a main course and everything was tasty. However, for me personally it was a bit too greasy. Small note: Depending on the dish, the food is put into the oven in the bowl. Therefore it is extremely hot. So be careful when touching the plate. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. The food was served quickly. A recommendation from me

PLEASE READ THIS. Food was good. No question. But… service was very very bad. We had to wait over an hour for our food… That's very sad. After me, 7-8 other groups of guests came in and had their food within 5-10 minutes. Some of them were groups of 4 people. I don't understand why, as a waiter, you don't pay attention and see that there hasn't been any food at a table for a long time, even though you know full well that this actually happens quickly. I noticed that the waiter ignored us at a certain point (because they were perhaps embarrassed). Our drink was empty at some point and they didn't have the opportunity to order more because they "ignored" us. We were treated like air. Finally after 1 hour 15 minutes we got the food. The appetite was long gone. Instead of accommodating at the end, they acted as if everything was normal. IF YOU don't get any food after 10 minutes, try asking the waiters. If they don't ignore you. Otherwise you will wait unnecessarily for the food. Just a little tip on the side.

Nice service but very bad food, chef can't handle criticism. I wouldn't go here. There are plenty of better shops on the street

I went to the Bibimcup alone. I got a table straight away and because it was quite late, the nice waitress told me how long they still had service. The food came super quickly. Unfortunately, everything was a bit boring. In addition, everything was sweet, which is not really my taste. I thought it was okay to fill up in the evening for a reasonable amount of money, but it's not a culinary gem.

Had a nice meal at Bibimcup. The Bibimcup with pork had a nice taste and the meat was nice and tender. I would have expected an egg with it, by the way. The chicken in chili sauce was nice and crispy and freshly made. I personally loved the pickled radish! Nice to have tried it once!

Loved everything, the food was as always top notch, the chicken in sauce was adorable 🌺 The atmosphere was calm, cordial, it was nice to sit and enjoy the delicious food. Service - I would like the girls to be more attentive. It was very difficult to get distracted every time and try to catch them to take the empty dishes from the table, especially the glasses. The table was already small, but with empty dishes it was even smaller. It was weird to see the girls just walking by, even though they could see that everything was already empty((( so it needs an upgrade. But overall, it's good.

One thing first: I cannot understand the negative reviews. Since our discovery this year, my girlfriend and I have been here four times and each time we travel from Bielefeld. The staff is super nice, fast and attentive. The food usually arrives very quickly, very hot and very tasty. The cups are always prepared with a lot of love and we simply taste so good! My personal highlight is the sauce, which comes in a bottle with every order. 😍 Unfortunately, you cannot buy this sauce because it is a proprietary recipe that is guarded. We probably have to come by more often... 😅

The dolsat bibimbub was served with side dishes and miso soup. I had the one with bulgogi beed. It was very delicious. The restaurant is also well decorated. I like the atmosphere.

We had an amazing time at Bibimcup! Went there with a group of 25 people and their big variety of options made everyone very happy with their food. The staff is also very friendly!

Solid Korean restaurant, ordered the dolsot bibimbap with bulgogi, soy sauce fried chicken, haemul pajeong, and spicy tofu soup. Everything was great except for the tofu soup, which was way too spicy, even for someone in our party who likes spice. It would have been nice if the server would've asked us for our spice level preference, although she was pretty busy and forgot to get us utensils despite us asking twice. Overall still a good meal.

Korean simple meals are very similar to Chinese lunch boxes, suitable for a simple meal

The 김치찌개 was quite disappointing. The rice was undercooked and hard to chew, making it an unpleasant experience. It certainly wasn’t worth the 17 euros.

It was delicious! Clean taste! Friendly service! Like in Korea, Korean restaurants serve basic side dishes. Although it is not I would like to give this place high marks for the food itself.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Bibimcup in Düsseldorf and absolutely loved it. The restaurant offers authentic Korean dishes in a friendly atmosphere. Fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared vegetables and tender meat – no wish is left unfulfilled. The service was quick and friendly. We'll be back :)

Good Korean bibimbap selection and it doesn't come in the hot stone (dolsot) cup that I don't really like. The portions are perfect for a person to eat without waste.

Visited for lunch on Friday, selected a dish with a lunch price, but had to pay the full price instead. They give a menu with the lower prices omitting to mention that they are not relevant, weird experience. Communication with the cashier was just bizarre

I went to eat cold noodles in the evening, but I think it was impossible because it was too late. I came here thinking only of naengmyeon, but they said no, so I didn't know what to eat, but they said jjajangmyeon was available, even though it wasn't on the menu at the time, so I ordered it. I think my Dutch partner liked it more than me! The portions were plentiful and friendly, and I was especially grateful that the glasses-wearing man (perhaps Korean?) was very attentive, so I am leaving a review that I usually don't leave. It was the most delicious and plentiful of all the Jajangmyeon I had in Europe. I really want to eat cold noodles later🥰

My last visit to this restaurant finally convinced us to never go there again. It was actually one of our favorite restaurants. For the second time in a row, the beef in Dolpot Bulgogi was so tough it was barely edible—it felt like we were chewing on gristle. The service was equally disappointing. Even though we didn't arrive until 8:30 p.m., the staff started kicking us out as early as 9 p.m., constantly trying to clear our plates and eventually even turning off the lights. If you value good food and respectful service, you should definitely go somewhere else.

A cozy and beautiful food spot in the heart of Düsseldorf - we sat outside for dinner and enjoyed the weather and the cute fairy lights. The service was super friendly and quick. The food was also excellent. There were both meat and vegan options. Everything for a fair price. I'd love to come back!!

Bibimbab with Japche is highly recommended. The kimbap rolls were also very tasty but way too overpriced.

After a while we went to the Bibimcup again instead of going to our usual Korean restaurant. Unfortunately the quality of the food and the taste has declined, it doesn't really have much to do with authentic Korean cuisine. It lacked spice and spiciness. That used to be better. Too expensive for what is offered. We will therefore prefer to stick to our regular restaurant.

The starters were delicious and the portions were generous. The kimchi pancake was especially great!

Unfortunately, the restaurant no longer has the quality it did a few years ago. I was very disappointed with my last visit. My bibimcup with squid was dry and had hardly any flavor. The gyoza appeared to be double fried instead of traditionally seared, giving them an unpleasant texture and strange taste. The rice was also disappointing, the consistency was strange - just not cooked well. Another negative point was the restaurant's lack of flexibility. It was not possible to make my son some simple Asian noodles without any additives. This shows a lack of customer focus and flexibility, which is very unfortunate for a restaurant of this type. Overall this was unfortunately a very disappointing experience and it is sad to see how the quality of the food and service has declined compared to before. I very much hope that the restaurant sees this criticism as constructive feedback and strives to restore the quality to which it was previously accustomed.

Delicious Korean food, especially the eponymous bibimbap, is recommended. The only thing that didn't really convince me was the side dishes. Sometimes it is very crowded in a small space and relatively noisy.

I've been eating kimbap for over 30 years, and there must be over 1,000 pieces of it, but this is the first time in my life that I've seen kimbap with hair in it. I can see a glimpse of the kitchen from my seat, so I rub my eyes with my gloved hands and just touch the food. If that's the case, why do you wear gloves while working in the kitchen? I know that in proper restaurants, black gloves cannot be used in the kitchen because they cannot detect contaminants, but if you are going to manage hygiene in this way, it would be better to cover up the kitchen with something like your feet. I think it would be better not to see it. Looking at the price, the lunch set seems good value for money, but the taste is just so-so... I'm eager to find the perfect Korean food in Germany, but this is my first time trying bibimbap with lettuce. It's a good idea to choose your own toppings and put them on your bibimbap, but before that, the taste... I also heard that the lunch set includes soft drinks and hot drinks, so I ordered a cola and was charged. If cola is not a soft drink, it would have been nice if the server had at least explained it when taking the order. I went there with high expectations after seeing the star ratings, but I wasn't sure if the hygiene or the taste would be good, but it was a disappointing restaurant in many ways.

We ate well and the service here is really on point and very friendly.

Loved that they had vegan options

Unfortunately my personal impression wasn't good... :( First the positive: • the service was incredibly warm, 10/10 • The atmosphere was nice - the decor was very inviting - also 10/10 Now, unfortunately, to the predominantly negative impressions: I had a bibimbap with tofu and my friend had a dolsot with chicken. IMO the bibimbap tasted bland, unseasoned and dry. My girlfriend tried it once and immediately said it tasted musty… a no go for €18. My friend's meat also tasted rubbery and just not of high quality. This is simply not possible for a hefty price of around €23. There is only one toilet with so many customers, so there was a long queue in front of the toilet at that time. Admittedly, we were there on Japan Day and it was busy, so I hope the lack of quality was due to the high occupancy. Nevertheless, you want to be able to expect something for your money... :( For example, we also visited other Koreans in the area who, on the one hand, offered the starters for free (much more variety and not exactly worse!) and only charged €13 for a bibimpap instead of €18... so you got more for your money. Both quantity and quality. Comparatively, Bibimcup was really disappointing

Wir wurden in dem kleinen Lokal freundlich empfangen und da wir zum ersten Mal koreanisch gegessen haben, bekamen wir trotz voll besetzten Lokal hilfreiche Tipps und man hat sich für uns Zeit genommen. Die Gerichte schmeckten allen hervorragend und waren frisch zubereitet. Die Preise sind in Ordnung und wir hatten einen schönen Abend. Gegessen haben wir gebackenes Hühnchen in einer pikanten Sauce, vegetarische Teigtaschen und Bibimcup.

Quite tasty, I personally find the extra rice on a plate of noodles unnecessary. It would be better if it was optional and the dish was offered at a lower price. Courteous service and well informed. The dish I ordered was Dolpan Jap Chae (vegan) for €18.50

We tested the lunch menu here. My large portion was definitely for people who were hungry. However, there was a lot of rice and unfortunately it was bland. I definitely know it to be better seasoned/dressed from other Korean restaurants. There was a good amount of vegetables but could have been a bit more for the price. The entrees included are probably half a portion of the regular entrees. The extra vegan hot sauce was great! Eaten: large lunch menu.

Actually not the cheapest place to eat for a family. Althought the portion of bibimcup with pork (rice+carrots+salad) was good, but price performance - did not achieve expectations. Cannot list in the Top 10 best cheap eats restaurants, as its listed.

Just stopped by for a drink. They have an outdoor serving where you can both eat and drink or just have some drinks with friends. The place has infrared heaters and really cozy. Will try their Bulgogi or Jap-chae next time. Located close to shopping.

Since our favorite restaurant was closed, we went to Bibimcup as an alternative. We both ordered Dolsot Bibimbap - unfortunately the dishes turned out to be a total disappointment. As some recent reviews have pointed out, this restaurant doesn't have much to do with authentic Korean cuisine. The Dolsot Bibimbap tasted very bland, had little salt and hardly contained any sesame oil or garlic. The rice pot consisted of 80% lukewarm rice, iceberg lettuce (which has no place in bibimbap) and a few veggies. At least the service was very nice.

This review is my personal impression. The place is really nicely decorated. It's warm and you sit well. The staff is nice and attentive. We had a Dolsot Bibimbap or whatever it was called. Unfortunately it was very dry and not seasoned well. But tastes are different. Maybe Korean cuisine is like that. But unfortunately 18 euros is not satisfactory for me. And for a Coke 4.5 or something? Energy prices or not. Is it still okay?😂 I won't come there again.

Delicious food. The shop is a bit cramped and noisy. Nice staff but one's glass is quickly cleared away to make room for the next one, so it's a bit stressful and uncomfortable.

Bad food, bad service. Three sunflower seeds are called garnish. Rice sticks, the cheapest iceberg lettuce and a fried boiled egg. So really, if you want to eat Korean food, you're better off going somewhere else where you'll have a normal standard. By the way, we waited in the queue for 40 minutes even though it was reserved. Just because it says Korea on it doesn't mean it's good...

Sorry, but that was nothing. The food was far from real Korean food. The names on the menu sounded quite authentic, but unfortunately the food wasn't. Vegetables on a pile of rice with sesame seeds without any flavor. The hot sauce from the tube. Unfortunately I can't understand the good reviews. At least not if you really expect Korean food here. I'm sorry.

A great experience! Second time there after 2018 and completely convinced again! Nice, fine card. From starters to dessert, everything tasted excellent. Despite the many guests, the service was super friendly and quick. As a doggy bag you can get a reusable container for a €5 deposit (very good thing!). I would recommend making a reservation. We will be back! :)

Small portion, expensive, average taste. The fried chicken for 22 euros only has 8 wings, and there are four pieces of potatoes at the base of the wings. The meat is not boneless, and the bibimbap comes with salad.

Nice location and courteous, fast service. Unfortunately, the food was rather bland and uninspired. My Dolsot Bibimbap with Japchae and egg was flabby and unfortunately the egg was cooked through. Liquid egg yolk would have added more than good flavor. The banchan (small side dishes) were sweet potato and beans. Unfortunately absolutely over salted. Due to the large selection of authentic and high-quality Korean restaurants in Düsseldorf, I would not eat here again. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right here.

Probably tasty for Europeans but anyone who knows Korean cuisine will be a little disappointed... But it's not bad... Price/performance expensive but the young waitress was very friendly.

I had take away kimchi Jjigae and can only rate that. It was underground. I can live with inauthentic cuisine, but it has to at least taste good. With authentic cuisine, which simply doesn't suit my western taste. But I find it neither authentic (wrong tofu, wild one-carb, strangely spiced soup) nor tasty. Never again.

Das abend-Essen war nicht authentisch. Hochpreisig Aber die Qualität war durchschnittlich bis schlecht. Die Beilage war aus sehr billigen Zutaten. Ein Gericht zw. 18-29€ für diese Qualität?

Unfortunately we had to wait a long time for the food and the starter arrived at the same time as the main courses. Nevertheless, we had a very nice evening and can recommend it as a vegan food spot, even if the selection wasn't huge. GREAT! :)

You shouldn't be surprised if there's a line in front of the restaurant! It's popular! But fortunately, they accept reservations even for a group of 10. The Dolsot Bulgogi I got was delicious. Compared to other restaurants, the portion was a bit smaller, but it was full of meat. The bibimbap is served with Miso soup and two side dishes. The service was fast and the staff was friendly, highly recommended.
