We visited Yoonsim Restaurant today. The food tasted very tasty but I also found it to be a bit more expensive. Grilling was fun with the family and we felt comfortable in the restaurant and the staff was very friendly.

Friendly service, super delicious food. The tteokbokki with cheese were very good, as was the omelet (sorry forgot the name) and the BBQ was great and came with great authentic side dishes. The ventilation could be a little better. Highly recommended.

Outstanding food and authentic, cozy atmosphere. Quality of the food was extremely good! The only thing I would complain about is the service, which could have been better. You can pay with card (also credit card) from €30. You can park cheaply in the “parking garage at the train station”, a minute’s walk away.

It's hard to find a Korean restaurant that have BBQ option like this. The food is super delicious and overall provides a cozy atmosphere with friends.

We were there for the first time today, I'm Korean myself and I have to say the food was amazing, especially the kimshi, the service was absolutely nice, he gave us really good advice, it's a shame that we didn't ask for the name, but we said one thing, we'll definitely come case again

Quality and taste are O.K. Unfortunately it seems to be a challenge for the kitchen to serve 4 dishes at the same time. You get the order for each egg one after the other. The employees are friendly and helpful.

Always satisfying to eat here! Delicious with lots of variety. Great atmosphere with that typical smoky bbq after smell hair and clothes afterwards. Always packed so prepare always book in advance. The taste of the meat still great! Japchae was too salty this time but eating it with rice helps lessen the saltiness. Price is of course higher now and they charged the banchan too. Only 1st round is included in the meal. Also when full house the bathroom cleanliness can be a turn off, so maybe skip this at the end of the visit. Some of the tables are joined together also the benches. The party next to the wall sits next to us(the alley). No space in between, so if they need to go to toilet the alley party (us) needs to stand up and get out first before the wall party can come out. Service is okay, some of the waiters were friendlier than the other but overall they were great at explaining the foods and quick to respond to our calls and needs. Overall still love this place and would come back anytime I visit Düsseldorf

I tried Korean Barbeque here for the first time and was not disappointed. At first I thought there wasn't enough meat for two people (we had one of the menus) but it was absolutely enough. Unfortunately we couldn't finish everything, which is a shame because it was so delicious. We particularly enjoyed the bulgogi. The tteokbokki were very soft and chewy, just right. It tasted even better with cheese. I can heartily recommend Yoonsim to anyone who wants to try Korean Barbeque!

It was good and everything else, but in my personal opinion it was a bit too expensive for the meat.

Really friendly staff that gave us bonus soju. We tried the rice alcoholic drink which is very similar to something we have in Vietnam, but a bit stronger. It's interesting, but I don't think I'd order it next time. The bulgogi flavored beef and cow tongue were very nice for BBQ.

It was delicious meat. The yakiniku was good, but the other dishes were too salty. Since it was a weekend dinner, the restaurant was busy and there seemed to be a lack of employees. It took quite a while for the menu to appear. Also, it was a shame that some of the tables were sticky with oil.

We had a really great evening, with very, very tasty food and incredibly friendly staff. We didn't order BBQ, but ate à la carte and were super satisfied. The Korean fried chicken is super delicious and the red beans or matcha ice cream are to die for. Many thanks to the whole team!

Great Korean, best grill restaurant in Germany and I always drive an extra 700 kilometers from Bavaria. It really tastes like South Korea, where I've already eaten.

It was our first time eating there. We didn't have the BBQ, but starters and main courses from the menu. Everything tasted very fresh and delicious. However, we found the price a little too high, especially for the appetizers and drinks. The mandus and the spicy chicken are highly recommended.

Fast and friendly service that also explains the principle of a Korean BBQ if anyone has never had one before. The food itself was also very tasty and there is a wide selection of dishes to choose from.

It was my second time eating there (I come from Lake Constance)...and like last year I felt very comfortable and the food was excellent. However...and I have never experienced this in any Korean restaurant here in Germany...in Seoul the portions are significantly larger and cheaper...😉. But that didn't spoil the enjoyment at all. Very very very very tasty. Great and courteous service. The price is of course a bit higher, but if you want to have a Korean barbecue in Germany you always have to spend a little more money.

When I made the advance reservation, I told him that it was his birthday and I would like to be seated near the edge, and when I ordered dessert, they lit a birthday candle and sang me a birthday song, which was very nice service. The food is very delicious and I am very satisfied 😊 If I have a chance to come to Düsseldorf again, I will come again 😊

The worst ramen I have ever eaten in my life. Everything was poorly seasoned for Korean cuisine.

I don’t remember such disappointment since very long time. Food is horrible and can’t understand who and why i rating so high. We came 3 persons and all have same impression. First was small starters - very ok, next 3 ramen soups tasted like beef soup but for sure not ramen. By mistake for main got fired pork - tasting like smashed paper deep fried… worst Asian experience last couple years. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND!!!! Btw. Service was very kind

The food was really tasty and the staff was very friendly. In my opinion, deducting one star from the rating is necessary because it was not possible to bring food to the table for two people at the same time. My wife's food was brought to the table very late, which of course meant that my food had cooled down. In addition, the menu was pretty battered and didn't feel hygienic.

From the food already cooked in the kitchen to the fresh meat that you grilled yourself. Everything delicious and fresh! The waiter and the boss personally are very professional and friendly. You can't help but walk out of this restaurant with a full stomach and laughter!

We found the location very pleasant and the service was very friendly and friendly. Nevertheless, one had the feeling that they were understaffed and there was a bit of a lack of organization (drink forgotten, unusually long waiting time for BBQ). Added to this is the price. We had it for 3 people for 120 euros, the meat in the picture alone costs 64 euros and was intended for 2 people, but that was certainly not enough. Then we had sweet potato, corn, 3 portions of rice and marinated pork belly again. It is important to say that the meat was very good (even if in our opinion it is far from worth 64 euros given the amount). Unfortunately the rice wasn't convincing because it was burnt. In the end it was ok but 120 euros for 3 people (1 man, 2 women) and 1 drink each (no alcohol) was clearly too much.

We cannot understand the good reviews about the quality of the goods. You can eat it, but it is not exceptionally good as is often described here. The ambience with the table grill is very fancy but the price-performance ratio is not right. Wouldn't go here again.

My first experience of Korean BBQ. We didn't make a reservation, but came right after the opening, so we were able to get the table really quickly. I'm satisfied with the meat quality. My friend and I took 1 meat BBQ plate, one vegetarian BBQ plate, and one wagu beef plate. This amount of food was enough for two girls.

We went there with some friends because I've always wanted to try it out and it was really more than worth it. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant's layout was wonderful and of course the self-made preparation is a highlight for all groups!

Giving 3 starts because I couldn’t go. When I got here there was sign on the door saying they are closed between 8/1-8/15/2024 Holiday.

Although we got the reservation mixed up, we were warmly welcomed and a spot was quickly organized for us. A very friendly, pleasant, pretty young woman served us. We shared a BBQ platter and had great fun roasting the various meats and side dishes. Both the food and service were very convincing, we would be happy to come back.

I called 11 times to ask if the store was halal, but the first 5 times it rang and suddenly the caller was no longer available... if you can do without customers

Very tasty food, the meat quality is great, nice staff. Were there for the first time and everything was explained very well to us. Price is appropriate according to the quality of the meat. The portions are very filling, you may want to order a portion of rice if you are very hungry.

Tried Korean BBQ for the first time today! I really loved it! All the food had a really good quality and tasted great. Also the staff was really nice and helpful.

My 3 friends and I went to Yoonsim yesterday on a Saturday. We had reserved a table and were then allowed to choose whether we wanted to sit inside or in the backyard. Since it was pretty crowded inside (rightfully so), we opted for the backyard. We actually sat there alone, which was fine with us. We ordered, the food came really quickly and then a thunderstorm started. Thanks to the tarpaulin we stayed dry and we found it really funny. Therefore, despite being offered to move indoors, we decided to continue grilling outside during the thunderstorm. The service staff was incredibly friendly and in a good mood. The food was incredibly delicious. A really absolutely great experience with good friends with delicious food and wonderful service. THANK YOU Yoonsim. We'll definitely be back ♥

UPDATE: As promised, we also came over for dinner this year and it was again an absolute pleasure. People even recognized us :) Despite the massive number of guests from Dokomi, all the service staff were totally friendly and accommodating. The meat and seafood were fresh and delicious marinated or seasoned. The pickled vegetables are a delight. We will definitely come back again, even if it takes until next year.

I would like to give the service 6 stars. We were all here for the first time and had never experienced Korean BBQ before. The employees were really super friendly and helpful. Everything was explained to us in a way that was easy to understand and we got a great introduction. We received a small explanation of the card and requests for changes were proactively offered. The food was incredibly delicious! From the side dishes to the meat to the fish, everything was of very good quality and taste. We were all completely satisfied and full. Korean BBQ is definitely an experience we've been missing and we recommend anyone who would like to try it to stop by. Take your time and enjoy your stay and the delicious food. 50 minutes of waiting for two dishes, while two of the group of four had already digested the food. The food itself was good, but one could have at least apologized for the waiting time

You come in and, in addition to the super cozy atmosphere, what shines through is the extremely friendly and inviting conditions. Great welcome, super patient advice despite the high volume of customers. Cozy atmosphere and of course the beautifully prepared fresh food in Korean BBQ style is immediately convincing.

We ordered Korean BBQ menu. The menu includes - Starters: Mandu 🥟 and spring roll - Side dishes: various kimchi, sauce and leaf salad. 🥬 - Meat (beef and pork), chicken and seafood (shrimp and squid), potatoes and vegetables (eggplant, zucchini) for grilling. The food was very tasty! 👍🏼 However, it is not cheap, costs around €45 per person (price: July 2024). And we also ordered a portion of rice to fill us up.

Previous experience after several visits: 1st reservation: - 4/5 Having to wait 15 minutes despite a reservation is unusual but acceptable. 2. Service:- 5/5 Service, depending on which one you get, is great. The older gentleman who served us was initially quite unfriendly, while the younger colleague was friendly, open-minded and helpful, explained the menu and answered questions. After additional Wagyu was ordered, the older gentleman's mood suddenly changed and the service became significantly better. At least that's my impression. Everyone can answer for themselves why this was the case. Other waitresses have been great on previous visits, always friendly and helpful. Edit: last visit the service was really good. I think something has happened. 3. Quality of food:- 5/5 Basically you can't complain about the quality. There are always enough side dishes and the menus always fill you up. However, we were able to enjoy the best A5 Wagyu so far in another restaurant. Nevertheless, the quality here is top. 4th Prize:- 4/5 Overall the price is quite high. Overall worth the money, although it has become increasingly exclusive due to the price increases in recent years.

Im Yoonsim kann man wunderbar einen geselligen Abend mit Freunden genießen. Das BBQ am Tisch macht Spaß und ist vor allem sehr lecker. Das Fleisch ist wunderbar mariniert. Auch die anderen Speisen, die ich mittlerweile dort probiert habe, sind durchweg sehr lecker. Natürlich das meiste auf der scharfen Seite.... aber nie zu scharf - zumindest für meinen Geschmack. Ich empfehle auf jeden Fall das Fried Chicken. Sehr lecker. Preis/Leistung und Service sehr gut.

As a Korean, I have to advise against this restaurant if you want to have an authentic Korean meal... I ordered a very familiar dish (짜장면), but it didn't taste Korean at all and I gave it straight back to the kitchen. The other dishes weren't good either. Even the rice didn't even taste Korean!!

Food was okay but not your money worth, you can find better Korean BBQ restaurants anywhere else in Düsseldorf, especially one where they don‘t charge you extra for another round of side dishes and rice. If you pay so much for the meat plates already, I think at least that should be included.

We visited this Korean BBQ restaurant for the first time and I must say I was pretty disappointed overall, mostly because of the prices. The food we ordered was alright (a meat plate, Kimchi pancake and Japchae). I know that the prices went up since the pandemic and inflation but still, I was shocked to find out that a refill of the side dishes costs 1€ (!). The size of the side dishes are not by any means big so it’s audacious to charge 1€ PER side dish. The rice was also not included - it was 2,50€ per portion. It’s sad to see that every little dish that used to be included in the price is now charged. Even though the food was not bad I would not recommend this place to family or friends.

A life changing experience! I ate the most delicious fried chicken ever

I used to come here quite often as I lived in Seoul for some years before moving to Düsseldorf and this was one of the more authentic restaurants in the area. At least based on my experience in Korea and the Ruhrgebiet. The reason for my rather bad review is that one Friday evening a couple of weeks ago I was looking for a quick solo dinner around 8pm and was turned away because I was alone. At the time, there were 5-10 empty tables out of the approx. 20-25 that this place has in total, and I was willing to spend the usual 50-80€ here for some good grilled meat plus side dishes. Especially the comment that they need the tables for the next wave of people sounded a little weird to me, given that I know they usually don't accept reservations. Based on that day I would have given 1 star, but maybe it was just a stressful day and I know this place can do better, even if it's a bit on the pricey side.

We were there on the Sunday after Japan Day and came here because of the many good reviews. Unfortunately we were deeply disappointed. From the hectic atmosphere to the stressed employees to the overpriced food, long waiting times and run-of-the-mill service. On the positive side: The restaurant looks inconspicuous from the outside, but when you look inside it is quite stylishly decorated and also has what appears to be a good ventilation system. That was it. On the negative side: You have the strong feeling that you will be processed quickly. We had just sat down and hadn't even looked at the menu when we were asked straight away what we would like to order. Since we weren't ready yet because we had just arrived, the next person came and wanted to take our order. After we ordered, we discovered that we had been forgotten. Our neighboring table and another table that came after us had already received their food before us and also ordered something for the BBQ. In addition, our food came first and then the drinks. The meat was well seasoned and all in all tasted good, but the portions were not even remotely justified or in proportion to the price. The side dishes were only available for an additional charge of 1 euro... per bowl!! Are these some organic products that are hand-picked or how can one understand such prices for a bowl of cucumbers or potatoes? An absolute no-go in Korea, but okay, nothing should be given away, but 1 euro per bowl and then almost as little as the portion before it? Luckily there was no charge for the salad, but that wouldn't have surprised me. However, we were served a basket that had apparently already been used. Half-chewed lettuce leaves that had been sitting outside for a while. Unfortunately you can see the salad too well! Refills were only made upon request. About the service: Below average. We had ordered drinks and unfortunately they were forgotten! It can happen, after all the shop was full, but even when asked (by the non-Asian lady) the drinks were forgotten again and it was the second time we had ordered from her. In retrospect, we didn't understand where the good reviews about the service came from because we didn't see anything remotely like warm or attentive service that day. The bill at the end was of course a bad aftertaste. I like spending money on food. But everything should be right! It doesn't have that here and I definitely won't set foot in this restaurant again! Especially since there are better Koreans in the immediate vicinity with humane prices and better service!!

Was really excited when i read all the good reviews... Can't confirm them tho. Not the typical korean barbecue experience...high prices and no refill for side dishes. 1 euro per side dishes is really a scam...even after ordering additional items worth 60 euros they didnt refill side dishes. Other korean restaurants in Düsseldorf handle this different even give side dishes for free. in addition we got served by a stressed and unfriendly waiter. We won't come a second time. The food was good but not for the price.

It's not Korean food. I ordered kimchi stew, but what came out was food that I couldn't identify. I know it's a barbecue restaurant, but isn't everything on the menu supposed to be done properly? While on a business trip, I was thinking of Korean food, so I looked for it, but it really wasn't it.

The food tastes old and dry, the service wasnt great either

1. I have been here many times. and noticed that the salad they brought out was dirty every time. I told the cashier and she casually apologized like it was normal. 2. The food is nothing special. 3. The cold noodles were not as good as I have eaten in other restaurants. The noodles are too soft, the broth is boring, use ice cubes instead of shaved ice

I don't really understand my visit yesterday. Lots of light, lots of shadows. Positive: very friendly welcome, painless changing of the reservation in the number of guests. Quantitatively great food. Service very friendly. Exhaust system great. Negative: Service not attentive, drinks came after the meal and the food took a long time, which is not understandable with BBQ, everything is prepared and just needs to be brought to the table. 2 guys at the bar and a 20 minute wait for a beer is a no go. The quality was ok, but the taste of two other reference Korean BBQs was an explosion. This was not the case here. You don't really sit comfortably. If the service would open their eyes and work more efficiently, if they would season the side dishes more and make the potatoes crispier, then it would be perfect. So it was a 3+ in school grade.
