Unfortunately the visit was disappointing. In my opinion, Korean cuisine is one of the best. Unfortunately the food was the worst I've ever had. I always thought bad Korean food didn't exist :D. No comparison to the food in Korea or other restaurants I've had the pleasure of visiting. The bibimbap is completely tasteless. Chicken was good, but €14.50 for this small portion is really crazy. Despite a reservation, we waited half an hour until we got a table. Another half hour passed before we were served and the food came. The atmosphere seemed dingy to me. The dirty dishes were piled up on the wall next to the bar. Service seemed overwhelmed because everyone was doing everything. What was also exciting was the fact that there was no proof. After we did the math, we were charged €4 too much. Of course we couldn't understand that anymore, see above :) We came here because of the good Google reviews. Kind of a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, like many things on Immermannstrasse: overhyped.

I love meat such as pork belly, there is no place like this in Dussel. The soup tastes strangely like the one I had in Korea. I heard that the owner worked at a Korean restaurant for a long time and became independent. Although all the employees are foreigners, it feels like a strangely Korean alley restaurant. All menus are medium quality. My favorite was the pork belly and soft tofu stew.

The dishes we ordered, including Jokbal, Samgyetang, Jjajangmyeon, Ogingoe Dupbap and Japchae were all disappointing. Food does not taste authentic. The service was also unsatisfactory. The staffs did not speak Korean. Overall, it was a bad experience, and I would not return.

As a tourist, my experience was bad, they have a great menu in German and only 4 dishes translated into English, the service was good but in the end they rushed us to eat and took away our plates so that someone else could sit down, we still had the drinks. The food is nothing special.

Came in and waited 10 minutes. Then we waited again until we got a table. Waited half an hour for the card, then asked for one myself. Ordered food and drinks. Drinks came quickly, food took an hour. Then had free drinks. Black hair in my food. Tried to make eye contact with the waiter, but they had blinders on and looked away. Walked to the bar myself, explained. Plate was taken but nothing was said. Afterwards we received new food quite quickly. Big portion, not bad. Wanted to take the rest with me, asked for a doggy bag. Received a Styrofoam container and immediately the ATM machine. It was cold there, the door was always opened. 0 atmosphere. 0 customer friendliness. All in all, preferably 0 stars.

Best boss, best food. The service on site is great. We've been there several times and have always been thrilled. The food we order always tastes delicious. Everything is wonderful, we are very happy with you. Greetings from Solingen!!!

The restaurant didn’t quite meet my expectations. To compare with other Korean spots, we usually order the same dishes: Mandu, Fried Chicken, and Bulgogi. Unfortunately, the Mandu didn’t seem homemade—the dumplings were open, much like frozen ones you’d cook at home. The fried chicken was alright but lacked flavor, and the sauce tasted artificial and lacked depth. On the positive side, the Bulgogi was delicious and full of flavor. The atmosphere felt like a typical cheap Asian restaurant—nothing special and rather dull.

On a réservé sur internet, arrivé sur place ils nous disent qu'ils ont "égaré" notre réservation (bien sûr...) et on a dû attendre plus de 30min dehors. Ils se sont trompé plusieurs fois dans les plus servis (ils ont complètement foiré lors de la prise de commande) et nous prennent de haut quand on a demandé un geste commercial. Et la cerise sur le gâteau lors de l'addition il se sont trompé de plus de 100€ (à leur faveur bien entendu), heureusement qu'on a vérifié et réclamé ! À fuir, très mauvaise expérience !

I was pretty excited to eat Yuk Hoe (Korean Tartar) since it's one of my favorite Korean dishes. I lived for a year in Korea and I'm pretty used to how it should taste. The Yuk Hoe came drenched in sugar, like a dessert. It was sweeter than the Makgeolli. There was so much sugar that the sugar grains couldn't dissolve in the sauce and were cracking under my teeth. This is not how Yukhoe should taste at all. It was completely uneadible. The waiter was not Korean and had no clue how it should taste, but still tried to justify it, saying that Japanese like it that way. The Japanese group next to us confirmed that in Japan Yukhoe is not sweet like that either, and the waiter looked surprised. After not eating it, I was still charged the 17€ for it.

Love this restaurant. Super tasty Korean BBQ and generally delicious Korean food and at the same time really inexpensive. Are often here with friends or work colleagues

I've been to Ginseng a lot and no matter if it's a quick lunch or a longer dinner with bbq, it's always delicous with amazing service!

Pretty average food, the soups a little too greasy and some dishes a little tasteless, although the service was fast and friendly. It gets one star in total because we have seen mice running inside the dining room while we were dining, which makes us think about the healthiness of the place...

My heart is bleeding 😕💔 I was promised starters and there were big main course prices without them being visible on the menu. Sorry but €17 per Tobukki is really bottomless. Then it came to payment, the bill was rounded up without consent. What's that supposed to mean?! WE WILL NOT COME BACK!

I am leaving a review after my fourth visit. My favorite menu item is tripe hotpot! It was a taste that soothed the joys and sorrows of living in a foreign country 🥹 The food was delicious and the owner was very kind. Jjajangmyeon, sweet and sour pork, and dogani soup were all delicious, and the portion of dogani soup was plentiful. In the cold winter, I packed dogani stew and ate it for two hearty meals at home.

There were four of us there and we were warmly welcomed and served. The food didn't take long to be brought out either. Furnishings and toilets are all neat. The tables have a stove inside for BBQ or hotpot. It wasn't that busy when we were there (around lunchtime) and there were still plenty of places. I can recommend it👍

Great food. And the only reason there's no line in front of the door is because it's not hip like the other shops nearby. But at least as good!

We didn't make a reservation but still got a table straight away. I thought it was nice that you got small side dishes with the meal. There is a large selection of food, with vegetarian dishes at the back of the menu.

Very very tasty food :) The dishes taste very traditional Korean and there is a wide variety of dishes. The staff is also very friendly, which I also liked!

Despite having a reservation, the staff insisted there was none. After a long discussion we finally got a table. The food was mediocre and the portions were tiny. The prices are excessive. The service was slow and overwhelmed, we had to wait forever for our order to be taken. Overall a very disappointing visit. Not recommendable.

The restaurant says it supports VISA, but when I tried to pay with my card, they told me I need to pay by cash. I insisted paying by card, but their pos machine just did not work, and they told me it is my card's problem. Luckily, I brought some cash and was able to pay the meal. But then I went to another shop, my card worked just fine. Quite disappointed.

Whenever I'm in Düsseldorf, Gin Seng is a must. The food is simply delicious and spicy.

I would say average. Got the ziaziangmyeong noodles, portion was good and filling but there was a flavour missing. The banchan were all really delicious. Atmosphere was like an Imbiss.

1 star for the bartender who was friendly, everything else and the Korean BBQ was a failure, many dishes and side dishes were simply covered over so that they no longer have to be offered and the taste was only spicy.

We are there regularly, with a journey of around 100 km. Dishes from the hot stone pot are great at moderate prices (5 stars). Update 2023: Inflation has an impact everywhere, of course. But increasing prices and reducing portions at the same time (soup/spring rolls are no longer available at lunch) is not very encouraging. Update 2024: More and more expensive and less and less. The photos of the ramen soup on the menu look great, but the soup is the economical version. A pity.

The interior of the restaurant is old. The owner doesn't speak Korean very well, but if you order in English, he answers in Korean. Strangely enough, they were selling Chamisul with a Korean label. I ordered 3 servings of pork belly, but it seemed like there were 5 servings. The side dishes were very similar to Korean ones. I think the person in the kitchen is Korean. Perhaps because Dolsot Bibimbap is so famous, many locals eat it too. Instead of pork belly, I had stone pot bibimbap and soft tofu stew. Those who like seafood soft tofu will not like it. This is pork soft tofu stew. I drank 3 bottles of soju and 4 bottles of beer and the total cost was 145 euros.

The service was relatively good, but the frame was very VERY spicy, you couldn't eat it at all.

The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't wow either. Rather in the middle range, there are - in my opinion - better Korean restaurants. :) The atmosphere didn't blow me away either, it was a bit lackluster. Service, on the other hand, was good. But I don't think I would eat there again.

Takeaway order. The food took a very long time to arrive and when it did some of it was cold and some lukewarm. Not very authentic, it did not taste like Korean food at all. Chicken was dry and tasted like it had been re heated (though only lukewarm when it arrived). Can't imagine that I will order from there again.

We came here because all other Japanese restaurants were booked out or had long lines. We normally also like Korean food but we were rather disappointed here. We had a bibimbap with dinner set (incl. a soup, 3 sides and few pieces of kimchi pancake) and Jokbal. The sides were made very loveless and tasteless and cold. The soup was a simple bouillon with lots of chopped veggies (didn't taste great) and the kimchi pancake was too oily. The dolsot bibimbap was lacking taste too and was also too oily. We Jokbal was okay. I barely finished my bibimbap and we had to pack the Jokbal but we barely touched any of the sides and the soup. Definitely would not recommend ordering the dinner set. Including drinks we paid about 50€+ Their toilet was also not very clean and walls and floor are all sticky. Service was also not great. We didn't get our cutlery until we asked for it after our food all arrived. We would not come back here 😔

The restaurant was very full, so we recommend making a reservation for the evening, even during the week, it was very clean. The staff was very friendly. A sufficient selection of dishes and the food was very tasty. Definitely worth a visit and the price/performance ratio is perfectly fine.

Makgeolli (막걸리) is super delicious. The large size is the same as a whole clay pot. It is slightly sweet and you drink it from a bowl. It is very authentic. It is recommended that you order some side dishes to accompany it~ (Of course the side dishes are German salty. (Hey~)

Beste koreanische Adresse in Düsseldorf!!! Service extra außerordentlich gut! Der Chef erinnert sich auch noch nach Monaten, was man beim letzten Mal gegessen hat. Erklärt alles und empfiehlt immer das Richtige. Auch wenn das Ambiente erst einmal an Gaststätte erinnert, ist es aber genau wie in traditionellen Restaurants in Korea. Im Ganzen ist dieses Restaurant einfach spitze, der Service top und das Essen weltklasse! P.s. für Vegetarier und Veganer wird auch außerhalb der Karte gezaubert, wenn man fragt..

Buon coreano con una ampia scelta di prodotti tradizionali. Ottimo il bibimbap e la zuppa traizionale di pollo al ginseng. La casa offre una fantasia di stuzzichini prima di servire i piatti ordinati. Peccato il tè allo zenzero sia già zuccherato e la teiera di tè al gelsomino molto piccola.

Netter Laden auf der Oststraße mit guter Küche aus Korea. Wir waren gestern da und der Laden war voll und daher war auch etwas Chaos im Service. Das Essen war klasse und auch bei dem Chaos waren die Leute bemüht das es so gut es ging für uns war. Man solte aber beachten das hier scharf auch scharf ist und man sollte dem Service sonst sagen man will es lieber Europäisch Scharf haben statt Korea Spicy.

Das Essen war ganz klar eine 10/10! Leckeres Gemüse und umwerfendes Fleisch! Das Fleisch wurde sehr gut gegrillt. Alles kam mit Beilagen und zusätzlichem Reis. Wenn Koreanisch essen, dann nur hier! Ich empfehle es wirklich nur zu 100%.

Essen scheint mir authentisch und ist auch lecker. Das Interieur ist schon etwas in die Tage gekommen und wirkt lieblos. Service normal ok. Portionen sind recht klein.

Wir waren mit 4 Leuten vor Ort essen. Die Bedienung wie auch der Besitzer waren super freundlich. Da wir bei der Auswahl des Essens etwas überfordert waren half uns der Besitzer aus. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wir hatten einen sehr tollen Abend.

Der Inhaber [glaube ich] ist mega korrekt. Er und seine frau können nicht gut deutsch, dafür können die koreanischen flair rüber bringen. Als ich da war , waren nur Asiaten im Restaurant, War ein sehr schöner Besuch, die Speicherkarte war etwas unübersichtlich. Also habe ich direkt nach einer Empfehlung gefragt, die war sehr gut. Schlechteste Restaurant Erfahrung. Waren zu zweit hier und hatten 4 Gerichte (2 Vorspeisen) bestellt. Bei einem Gericht fragte ich, ob ich diese ohne Meerestiere haben kann, da ich diese nicht esse. Von den 2 bestellten Vorspeisen, war eine falsch und musste reklamiert werden. In meinem Essen fand ich plötzlich Oktopus, also mussten wir auch dies reklamieren - obwohl ich extra nochmal nachgefragt hatt, ob das Gericht frei von Meerestieren ist. Danach war vorbei. Die Speißen waren sehr fertig und mir war danach etwas übel. Das Restaurant qualmte dann irgendwann weil am Tisch irgendwo gebraten wurde. Sorry - aber nie wieder. Noch nie so schlecht gegessen - noch nie so viel reklamiert. Katastrophe.

Hier gibt es eine schöne Selektion authentischer Gerichte, unter anderem die eingelegten Speisen oder Bibimbap. Ist für jeden etwas dabei, der diese Küche schätzt. Der Service ist zudem immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und erklärt auch gerne etwas zu den Speisen.

Trotz Reservierung geschlossen. Wir hatte extra über das online tool einen Tisch für vier Personen reserviert und auch eine Bestätigung bekommen. Am Restaurant angekommen mussten wir feststellen, dass das Restaurant gerade in der Sommerpause ist. Weder auf der Homepage, noch bei Google konnten wir Infos dazu finden. Beim letzten Besuch konnte man unsere Reservierung nicht im System finden. Also insgesamt absolut schlecht organisiert.

Super Laden. Wir hatten das Special Menü für 25€ und es war mehr als genug. Wirklich super Essen, mit allem drum und dran. Preis absolut fair

Nach einem Jahr wieder mal hier und Bibimbab gegessen. Eigentlich wegen eingelegter Gemüse frei von Haus, die man in Korea immer kostenlos nachbestellen kann. Hier in Düsseldorf sagt der Kellner, jedes Schällchen 2 Euro extra kostet. Auch das Bento für Lieferservice mit 11 € kostet im Restaurant Essen 14 €. Das Ist wirklich ein Witz und Abzocken! Das Bibinbab ist lauwarm und kein Vergleich, wie man in Korea überall kriegt. Sehr schlechtes Preisleistungsverhältnis! Schade, dass das Restaurant nicht mehr gut wie es mal war.

旅行中にたまたま立ち寄りました。スタッフの方がとても温かく、テイクアウトだったにも関わらずしばらく話し込んでしまい一人旅中の貴重な出会いになりました。ビビンバもとても美味しかったです。

Sehr nette und das Essen super ich empfehle weiter auf jeden Fall

Wir waren heute zu 5 im Gin Seng essen. Es sah nach einem sehr schönen Ambiente aus und hatte gute Google Rezesionen. Nur leider wurden wir sehr stark enttäuscht. Dir Reservierung, die wir Online getätigt haben wurde nicht berücksichtigt und wir mussten fast 1 Stunde warten. Die Karten im Resteraunt, sind grundsätzlich schön gestaltete jedoch wurde fast jeder Preis überklebt und teurer gemacht, als in der Online Speisekarte zu diesem Zeitpunkt. Als wir dann bestellen wollten, wurde uns leider sehr unfreundlich vom Personal mitgeteilt, dass wir (im Gegensatz zu Gästen vor uns) kein BBQ Grillen dürfen (weswegen wir eigentlich dort hin wollten) Nach dem Bestellen hat es leider sehr lange gedauert bis wir unser Trinken bekommen haben und es wurde uns, erst nach den ersten 2 Getränke für meine Freunde, mitgeteilt das die Fanta leider alle ist,worauf hin wir was anderes bestellt haben. Diese 3 Getränke haben dann wieder eine gute Zeit lang auf sich warten lassen, bis sie zu uns gebracht wurden und außerdem waren es nur 2 von 3 Getränke. Dann kam die Vorspeise die Geschmacklich gut war, nichts zu meckern. Dann nachdem wie es nochmals angesprochen haben, kam das letzte Getränk endlich. Die Hauptgänge kamen, dafür das es recht voll war, recht schnell nach der Vorspeise, jedoch haben 2 meiner Freunde ihren dazubestellten Reis nicht bekommen und keiner von uns hatte Besteck! Nach dem wir das angesprochen haben, kam nach einer Zeit dann das Gewünschte Besteck, jedoch war bis dahin das Essen schon fast ganz kalt. Nach nochmaligen Nachfragen ob der Reis den noch kommen würde, gab es keine Entschuldigung und der Reis kam leider nie. Generell sehr ünhöfliches und sehr sehr unmotiviertes Personal, aber gut zum bestellen, da es beim Essen fast nichts zu bemängel gibt. Leider eine sehr schlechte Essens Erfahrung, dank sehr sehr schlechtem Service.

Das Restaurant ist von der Oststraße (U-Bahn Haltestelle) nur wenige Gehminuten entfernt. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist ziemlich groß was mich etwas verwundert hatte, weil ich das aus Südkorea nicht kenne. Mein Getränk sowie mein Essen wurden innerhalb weniger Minuten gebracht. Das Personal war freundlich und war aufmerksam.

배달 시켜먹었는데 짜장소스와 이상한 다른 국을 헷갈려서 잘못 배달이 왔다네요 직접 와야 준대서 직접 가서 짜장소스 받아 와서 먹었습니다 서비스는 확실히 마음에 들진 않지만 짜장면 맛은 다른 음식점들보다 훨 맛있는 것 같네요

Unser absolutes koreanisches Lieblingsreataurant! Wir kommen regelmäßig hierher und lieben es. Der Service ist toll und sehr gut. Man bekommt Tipps, wenn man nicht genau weiß, was man bestellen soll. Das Essen ist immer lecker und ausreichend. Wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal.

Für mich die beste koreanische Küche im Stadtgebiet, Bedienung super nett und leckere Sidedishes. Das Kimchi (23) ist sehr lecker oder auch das Baobab oder die 44.

Wir haben über Google reserviert und haben auch eine Bestätigung erhalten. Uns wurde die Reservierung verwehrt. Die Dame hat gesagt, dass die Reservierung über Google nicht gilt.

Nachtrag: Bin häufig dort essen, aber nachdem mich die Dame abgewimmelt hat, obwohl ein Platz frei war mit der Begründung „eine Person reicht nicht. Vielleicht kommen noch mehr Personen“ war für mich kein Argument. Stammkunde ist weg. Glaube ist soweit der beste Koreaner in Düsseldorf. Waren öfter hier und der Grill ist überragend gut. In jedem Gericht schmeckt man eine leichte Grill Note heraus. Schnell, lecker und preiswert. Leider muss ich noch hinzufügen, dass der Inhaber mal gut mal schlecht gelaunt ist. Verschafft eine unangenehme Atmosphäre

Had dinner with our friends. Food was very tasty and the quality was good. The owner and staff are very friendly. Vegetarians also have good varieties here.

Wir sind an einem Freitagabend in dieses Restaurant ausgewichen, weil überall lange Schlangen waren und wir mit 8 Leuten noch irgendwo ein Plätzchen finden mussten. Die Karte wirkte auf mich sehr unübersichtlich und die Bilder etwas unappetitlich. Viele Gerichte waren auch chinesisch, anstatt koreanisch. Wir haben also eine Weile benötigt, um uns zu entscheiden. Vegetarische Optionen gab es leider nicht so viele. Ich habe dann das Bibimbab ohne Fleisch bestellt und es war besser als erwartet. Es kam in dem typischen Steintopf und der Reis war unten schön knusprig, wie es sein soll. Die kleinen Side Dishes vorab waren auch sehr lecker. Das Ambiente war nicht besonders einladend und der Boden klebte arg. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und bemüht. Insgesamt war soweit alles okay, aber es hat mich nicht begeistert.

Pork take away is not good. Pork is over-cooked and the whole dish is greasy. There was not so much taste of Korean Chili Paste,that's weird.The Korean kimbap and fried chicken inside taste pretty good.

Super friendly and attentive staff and it goes without saying the food was excellent. I highly recommend that you try the set menu. It’s reasonably priced and you will be stuffed by the end. As a side note though, the kimchi that comes with the set menu might not be enough. So I recommend ordering a separate plate of it.
