Super lecker, die Preis-Leistung ist top und die Mitarbeiter sind extrem herzlich. Neues Lieblingsrestaurant!

Das beste koreanische Essen, das ich bisher gegessen habe! Die Beilagen waren fantastisch. Meine Favoriten waren scharfes Hühnchen, Kimchi-Suppe mit Tofu und Schweinefleisch! Die Atmosphäre ist wie in einem klassischen koreanischen Restaurant. Der Service ist schnell.

Eines der besten koreanischen Restaurants! Es fühlt sich wirklich wie ein authentisches koreanisches Familienrestaurant an, mit köstlichem Essen und außergewöhnlich freundlichem Service. Ich kann es jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der ein authentisches koreanisches Esserlebnis sucht.

Ich habe online Empfehlungen für diesen Rindfleischdarm-Eintopf gesehen, aber er war viel zu scharf, und außer der Schärfe konnte ich keinen anderen Geschmack herausschmecken, nur pure Hitze...

Uns hat es hier richtig gut gefallen. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und stehen für eine Beratung bereit. Das Ambiente ist sehr einfach, jedoch überzeugt das Essen sehr. Besonders die knusprige Ente hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, da sie extrem knusprig war und die Sauce sehr lecker schmeckte. Vorweg bekommt man noch kleine Schälchen mit etwas Kimchi, Bohnen und Co. Auch diese waren lecker und der Kimchi nicht zu scharf. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir waren am Samstagabend zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant. Bevor wir uns hingesetzt haben, haben wir ausdrücklich nachgefragt, ob die Küche noch geöffnet ist und ob wir trotz der fortgeschrittenen Uhrzeit noch essen können. Uns wurde freundlich bestätigt, dass das überhaupt kein Problem sei. Leider änderte sich die Atmosphäre im Laufe des Abends komplett. Während meine Freundin noch gegessen hat, wurden bereits die Stühle auf die Tische gestellt und das Restaurant offensichtlich für den Feierabend vorbereitet. Zudem konnten wir mehrere Kommentare des Personals hören, dass sie wegen eines Fußballspiels möglichst schnell Feierabend machen wollten. Schließlich zog sich die Bedienung sogar um und setzte sich in unsere Nähe, um offensichtlich darauf zu warten, dass wir endlich gehen. Dadurch fühlten wir uns zunehmend unter Druck gesetzt und regelrecht hinauskomplimentiert. Besonders enttäuschend fanden wir, dass wir vorher extra gefragt hatten, ob wir noch willkommen sind. Hätte man uns gesagt, dass es zeitlich knapp wird oder wir uns beeilen müssten, hätten wir selbstverständlich Verständnis gehabt oder ein anderes Restaurant gewählt. Stattdessen wurden wir zunächst hereingebeten und anschließend das Gefühl vermittelt, unerwünscht zu sein. Zum Abschluss gab es nicht einmal ein freundliches „Schönen Abend noch“, sondern lediglich den Eindruck, dass man uns möglichst schnell loswerden wollte. Das Essen war zwar in Ordnung, der Service am Ende des Besuchs hat den Gesamteindruck jedoch leider deutlich verschlechtert. Schade wir hatten eigentlich vor, das Restaurant weiterzuempfehlen, werden dies nach dieser Erfahrung jedoch nicht tun.

Sehr autentisches und leckeres koreanisches Essen. Das Personal ist super freundlich und man fühlt sich in dem Ambiente sehr wohl. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert 💗

Ein von außen eher unscheinbares Restaurant, das im Inneren jedoch mit viel Platz und einem sehr gemütlichen Ambiente überrascht. Die Küche hat uns auf ganzer Linie überzeugt, alles war sehr lecker. Die geschmorten schwarzen Bohnen waren ein Gedicht (Teil der im Service inbegriffenen Vorspeise). Eine klare Empfehlung!

Es hat mir gefallen! Ich habe 12,50 € für Essen zum Mitnehmen bezahlt. Es war das erste Mal, dass ich koreanisches Essen probiert habe.

Ich war dort zum Mittagessen und bestellte ein Gericht ab 11 €. Mit einem Getränk belief sich meine Rechnung inklusive Trinkgeld auf 17,50 €. Vor dem Betreten des Restaurants fragte ich ausdrücklich einen Mitarbeiter, ob Kartenzahlung möglich sei, was mir auch bestätigt wurde. Erst beim Bezahlen erfuhr ich, dass ein Mindestbestellwert von 20 € gilt. Hätte ich diese Regelung vorher gekannt, hätte ich mich wohl für ein anderes Restaurant entschieden. Der Service war zudem recht unfreundlich und rechtfertigte nicht das Trinkgeld von 5 €, das ich letztendlich zahlen musste, um den Mindestbetrag für Kartenzahlung zu erreichen.

Netter Laden auf der Oststraße mit guter Küche aus Korea. Wir waren gestern da und der Laden war voll und daher war auch etwas Chaos im Service. Das Essen war klasse und auch bei dem Chaos waren die Leute bemüht das es so gut es ging für uns war. Man solte aber beachten das hier scharf auch scharf ist und man sollte dem Service sonst sagen man will es lieber Europäisch Scharf haben statt Korea Spicy.

Gin Seng war für einen einmaligen Besuch in Ordnung. Nach den vorherigen Bewertungen erwartete unsere Gruppe von sieben Personen einen eher kühlen Service, doch der Restaurantleiter und die Bedienung waren freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir genossen die traditionellen Beilagen (Banchan), Mandu, Frühlingszwiebelpfannkuchen, Bibimbap und am Tisch gegrillte Rippchen in einer gemütlichen Atmosphäre, die für unser Treffen ideal war.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 19:30 Uhr reserviert. Um 19:45 Uhr fragte ich, ob wir am Eingang weiter warten sollten, und man bejahte dies. Um 20:00 Uhr wurden wir immer noch nicht abgeholt, also gingen wir. Insgesamt ein schlechter Service.

Das Restaurant war nicht sehr sauber, die Speisekarte klebte, das Essen war gleichzeitig zu intensiv und fad, und ich fühlte mich danach richtig unwohl – leider ist das die Haupterinnerung an diesen Besuch. Angesichts der Bewertungen hatte ich viel mehr erwartet, war aber enttäuscht und fühlte mich unwohl. Ich werde nicht wiederkommen, vor allem nicht bei dem hohen Preis und dem fragwürdigen Essen. P.S.: Das Restaurant hat negative Bewertungen immer wieder gelöscht.

Wir kamen aufgrund der 4,7-Sterne-Bewertung bei Google hierher, aber ehrlich gesagt war dies eines der enttäuschendsten Restaurant-Erlebnisse, die wir in Düsseldorf hatten. Wir bestellten mehrere Vorspeisen und Hauptgerichte und erwarteten aufgrund der hohen Bewertung etwas Spektakuläres oder zumindest etwas sehr Authentisches. Leider war das Essen größtenteils fad und enttäuschend. Das einzige Gericht, das wir einigermaßen genießbar fanden, war der Kimchi-Pfannkuchen. Der Reis in den Hauptgerichten schien stark verkocht zu sein, und insgesamt fehlte es dem Essen an Geschmack, Ausgewogenheit und Sorgfalt. Das Kimchi war sehr salzig, der Rettich sehr sauer, die Bohnen sehr süß, und die anderen Beilagen waren einfach nur fade. Ich aß nur noch auf, weil es teuer war, nicht weil es mir schmeckte. Für den Preis war es eine reine Geldverschwendung. Zu allem Übel fühlten mein Partner und ich uns kurz nach dem Verlassen des Restaurants unwohl und hatten auf dem Rückweg zum Hotel Magenprobleme. Dies ist natürlich nur unsere persönliche Erfahrung, aber nach diesem Besuch können wir die hohe Bewertung absolut nicht nachvollziehen und würden nicht wiederkommen.

Der Service war schrecklich. Meine Freunde und ich haben am Eingang gewartet. Die Kellner haben uns mehrmals gesehen, aber es hat sie überhaupt nicht interessiert und sie haben uns ignoriert. Einer von uns musste hineingehen und ihnen sagen, dass wir warten. Selbst danach kamen sie eine ganze Weile nicht zurück. An dem Tag war es wirklich heiß, aber die Klimaanlage hat nicht funktioniert. Auf der Toilette gab es kein Toilettenpapier. Nachdem ich einen Mitarbeiter darauf hingewiesen habe, wurde zwar welches nachgelegt, aber beide Damentoiletten (es gibt zwei Kabinen) waren verstopft und nicht benutzbar. Der Mitarbeiter hat das zwar bestätigt, aber nicht einmal versucht, das Problem zu beheben. Das Essen war mittelmäßig. Ich werde nie wiederkommen.

Eine Reservierung scheint empfehlenswert. Wir hatten Glück und wurden nach wenigen Minuten Wartezeit an einen freien Tisch geführt. Obwohl das Restaurant voll besetzt war, wurden wir zügig bedient. Schnell hatten wir frisch gezapftes Kirin auf dem Tisch stehen und dazu mehrere leckere Vorspeisen als Gruß aus der Küche. Als wir alles probiert hatten, erhielten wir von unseren beiden Favoriten eine weitere Portion. Kurz danach trafen unsere Hauptgerichte ein, alles sehr lecker. Zum Schluss gab es einen Abschiedslikör aufs Haus, und wir gingen glücklich und satt aus dem Restaurant. Vielen Dank an das ganze Team des Gin Seng, wir hatten einen tollen Abend bei Ihnen.

Das Essen ist einfach und in Ordnung, aber nicht wirklich authentisch. Trotzdem ist es ein gutes Restaurant!

Zunächst einmal fand ich es seltsam, dass ein koreanisches Restaurant seine Gerichte in vier Sprachen anbot, aber nur auf Koreanisch (Hangeul). Die kleinen Beilagenteller, die wir bekamen, waren nicht sauber, sondern sehr klebrig, und die Flecken waren deutlich sichtbar. Die Speisekarte ist riesig, daher hatte ich schon Zweifel, ob sie jedes Gericht schmackhaft zubereiten könnten. Die Beilagen waren okay, aber nichts Besonderes. Meine Frau hatte Kimchi-Chongiku, und es war in Ordnung. Leider war nicht viel Suppe drin, dafür viel zu viel Kimchi. Ihr Reis war außerdem total verkocht und matschig. Ich hatte Jjijangmung, und es schmeckte sehr fad. Die Portion war viel zu groß. Ich habe nur ein paar Bissen gegessen, und das war mir genug. Irgendetwas schmeckte komisch, ich kann es aber nicht genau beschreiben. Der Besitzer bot an, etwas anderes zuzubereiten, aber ich lehnte ab. Insgesamt ein enttäuschendes Abendessen, aber ich hatte angesichts der absurd großen Speisekarte ohnehin keine hohen Erwartungen. Immerhin war das Personal freundlich.

Alles super, beim nächsten Besuch in der Stadt gerne wieder

Hier gibt es viele Raritäten zu entdecken, es werden sehr traditionelle und authentische koreanische Gerichte serviert, und beim Geschmack wird nicht gespart.

Wir hatten für Montag (einen Feiertag) um 13:00 Uhr reserviert. Wir erhielten eine Bestätigungs-E-Mail, aber als wir ankamen, war das Restaurant geschlossen.

Ein einfaches koreanisches Restaurant mit recht gutem Essen in Düsseldorf. Der Geschmack ist nicht ganz typisch koreanisch, was für Nicht-Asiaten angenehm ist. Meine nicht-asiatischen Freunde waren begeistert. Der gebratene Reis war sehr beeindruckend, das scharfe Hähnchen auch gut, das Tangsuyuk hingegen nicht so überzeugend. Die Preise sind erschwinglich. Der Mann im Restaurant war sehr freundlich. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Koreanischer Geheimtipp in Düsseldorf. Die Gerichte sind echt top und traditionell zubereitet, ich war sehr begeistert von dem Bulgogi. Auch die Bedienung ist sehr lieb.

Wir hatten während unseres Urlaubs Lust auf Koreanisch. Unser Stammrestaurant hatte geschlossen, also landeten wir in diesem Lokal. Die Bewertungen, die den Service als schlecht und distanziert beschreiben, stimmen leider. Erwarten Sie hier weder Freundlichkeit noch Aufmerksamkeit. Was dieses Restaurant rettet, ist das Essen. Wenn Sie ein gutes, unkompliziertes, klassisches koreanisches Restaurant suchen, das keine Sonderwünsche erfüllt, sind Sie hier genau richtig. Vor dem Essen werden Sie enttäuscht sein, danach werden Sie sich rundum wohlfühlen.

I came to eat here after seeing reviews from previous customers, and they were absolutely right. The staff’s attitude was not friendly at all. When I entered the restaurant, I was holding a cup of water that I had bought on the way, and the staff, with a rather unpleasant expression, told me that this was a restaurant and I wasn’t allowed to bring outside drinks in. On top of that, the food wasn’t good either. The rice was mushy, and the side dishes were nothing impressive. I’m still a student and currently traveling, so I finished all the food out of respect for the effort the cooks put in and because I didn’t want to waste the money I had spent. I’m giving this place 2 stars only because the dishes looked quite nice in photos. As for the taste, I’d rather not comment any further.

An uncaring place, the owner/ serviceman is not customer-friendly specifically if you are not typically German. I am quite shocked by this place‘s rating, as I got fooled by its high rating. This place deletes negative reviews with the excuse of defamation. The food was average at best based on my experience, I had Korean foods in other places by authentic ingredients so I can make a comparison.

I would actually give it 4 stars overall, but for me, the food and its taste are the most important factors. And that was very delicious. I've been to Korea and many restaurants in Germany, but here I experienced what I would consider to be truly excellent food.

A rather dull atmosphere. It feels like an old-fashioned university cafeteria. Sticky, dirty menus. Lots of picture options. Several drinks were out of stock. The food was good. We received the main course from the neighbors before we got our starters. And the appetizers were also incorrectly taken and served. The bill was just a debit card payment. Wow... the fact that this mediocrity seems to be perfectly acceptable here says something about the cultural standing of the place.

I think there's still room for improvement when it comes to the food; I can only review vegan food. As things stand, I can't fault the service or ambiance.

We were desperately hungry and spontaneously stopped into this seemingly unassuming restaurant "for a bite to eat." I've been to Korea twice and can say the food is authentic. A particularly nice touch: a few small plates of snacks as appetizers. Friendly, prompt, and unfussy service. We'd love to go back!

Great food. And no line out the door only because it's not as hip as the other places nearby. But at least just as good! Weekend update: You can still get a seat at 6 p.m. without a reservation, and from 8 p.m. onward, the back rooms (which I'd never seen before) open up too :) Great place, simply :) I'm still giving it such a good rating, even though I'm almost afraid that it'll eventually become too hip and there will be lines out the door ;)

Friendly service and delicious food. However, the menu photos aren't very appealing; the food actually looks much better. Perhaps they should retouch the photos.

We ordered T2 soup. The price wasn't clear on the menu. We ordered it for €20, but ended up paying €40. Also, no one explained anything about the price or the soup. They brought it, put it on high heat, and then said nothing. Also, the soup wasn't tasty; the broth was watered down with cheap seafood. It also didn't have the shrimp or crab claws pictured on the menu. Overall, it was unpleasant to pay that much money for such food.

Nice little restaurant. Our server was very friendly. The owner even said hello briefly. As for the food: it was good. The appetizers were very tasty. The vegetables were very fresh. Only the meat, we had bolgogi, was very tough. We had to spit some of it out. That defeated the point of the meat. The beef ribs weren't that good either; unfortunately, they had a lot of fat, which I personally don't like. The soup juices were also too salty. I wouldn't eat here again, as there are many other Korean restaurants nearby. Unless you order only vegetarian.

Very tasty duck ! We were in a big group , people have ordered a lot of, and what was the especially tasty - duck and the set of specials- deserves to return again ! The service was pleasant and attentive

We had omurice and bulgogi, which were delicious. The omurice is highly recommended. The young server seemed a bit overwhelmed and ran around several times for things that could have been combined. We had appetizers on the house and, for the first time, black beans as an appetizer. They were delicious, and when we told the chef, he promptly brought us another portion. The restaurant itself seems to be in need of some renovation, but that doesn't detract from the food.

Wie jeden Monat wenn wir unseren Stammtisch haben sind wir hier vor Ort und wie immer was es lecker und der Service war klasse. Ich hatte diesesmal Na So Yuk und muss sagen genau so wie ich es mag und ich bin froh das ich so eine klasse Auswahl habe und immer was anders zum futtern habe. Dazu habe ich spontan weil ich kein Tofu Fan bin ein Bild von der Miso gemacht ;-)

We were really hungry for bibimbab and found it at Gin Seng, as well as our highly sought-after kimchi pancakes. Served on a hot stone, it tasted excellent, and the appetizers were also truly amazing. Pleasant and fast, attentive service. Highly recommended! We'd love to come back next time we're in Düsseldorf. We requested a reservation for 8:45 p.m., but at 8:50 p.m., the table for 18(!) people was simply reassigned. We were then put on hold and left after an hour of excuses. The food is generally very tasty there, but making reservations is a disaster. Very unpleasant.

Just had my meal on 31.5 My friend wanted to try Ramen and the waiter said they could make ramen for us although its not in the menu. But what he brought is just instant noodles, so unacceptable. the waiter even could not distinguish coke and coke zero. My friend ordered coke zero but its too sweet. Plus, we ordered Bibimbal (2 portions) but the sauce (the soul of the dish) was not initially served. So we had to eat half of the bowl with a terribly bland taste.

I don't think the person cooking is Korean. It's my first time eating such a tasteless soft tofu stew. When I looked at other tables, they all had a lot of food left. Terrible servicio. Nunca encontré algo así. Hemos hecho una reserva para asegurarnos de que no necesitábamos hacer cola en un sábado ocupado. Hemos recibido 2 emails para confirmar la reserva. Una vez que llegamos dijeron que no tomaron reserva para esa noche. Había muchas personas con reservas y nos dijeron que hiciéramos una larga fila y esperáramos. No hubo disculpas ni nada. Actuaron extremadamente groseros. No vayas a este restaurante. El interior se ve terrible. Sin decoración ni ambiente. También olía mal y no se veía muy higiénico. ¡Aléjate de este lugar!

Wir sind regelmäßig hier den in dem kleinen schönen Hinterzimmer machen wir unseren Stammtisch einmal im Monat (ich muss wirklich regelmässig was schreiben und die Bilder auch einstellen). It looks very inconspicuous from the outside, but it is a great restaurant with mixed Korean/Vietnamese cuisine.

Absolutely avoid this place because it has nothing to do with the photos that you see. My guess is that the quality has taken a dump during the years. Dishes were not fresh, over saucing to cover the taste, even Kimchi was really dry and bad. Ambience was acceptable but dark.

This is my favorite restaurant every time I visit Düsseldorf and miss Korean food. The favorite dish here is the tripe hotpot, which boasts a depth of flavor that is difficult to find in other parts of Germany. The six side dishes that come as standard are each neat and delicious, putting you in a good mood even before the meal begins. Jajangmyeon and Jjamppong are also better than expected.

Authentic Korean food. Super tasty and very nice owner and service. Recommend the 8 from the lunch menu. Spicy rice with squid. Bulgogi is of course also a hit.

Everything tastes delicious in Gin Seng. Especially the dishes in the hot stone pot. A little expensive but worth it.

We were looking forward to the visit, but were unfortunately disappointed. The hygiene left a lot to be desired: there was clearly visible dirt on the table, and there was dried sour cream in the cracks on the burner. At first we ignored it, but it became unpleasant when we ate. The meat was very tough and the taste was not convincing. What was particularly annoying was the large number of fruit flies that even sat on the food. After a few bites we lost our appetite. In the end we paid €70 and left without anyone asking us if everything was ok. Otherwise we would have addressed the issues directly. Unfortunately no recommendation.

We actually came here by chance and treated ourselves to something really tasty: a traditional beef dish and a delicious duck with vegetables. The dishes were super fresh and very tasty, the service was very friendly and attentive, and the glances at the other guests' dishes only showed us beautifully presented, appetizing delicacies that also seemed to be tasty. We will be very happy to come back when we are in the area. It's worth it.

Great experience. We entered this restaurant by chance because there was an empty seat. We are delighted with the fried chicken. You have to try it. Everything you see in the picture cost 35 euros.

Today we ordered two portions of O-Bento to take away from Gin Seng (€25). The food was handed to us in a paper bag. After about 10 minutes, on the way home, the paper bag tore and the food fell onto the street. As it turned out, the bowls weren't sealed properly, so the sauce spilled out and the paper carrier bag was soggy. When I got home, I called Gin Seng and described the incident. On the phone the gentleman said that he was sorry, but when we asked about compensation he said that unfortunately this was not possible and that we had received the food in an undamaged condition. Our objection that the sauce shouldn't have run out was ignored. We are very disappointed and will definitely not visit the restaurant again.

It's friendly, the taste is good, and the tripe hotpot is delicious.

We were very disappointed with the service as the waiter repeatedly ignored us throughout the entire visit and we had to wait 20 minutes for the bill. The food was good but unfortunately we wouldn't come back due to the poor service.

We were probably unlucky. The kimchi pancakes had too much flour. The gimbap had no meat and the jaepchae had meat, but not really well done. Actually, I don't like to complain, gastronomy is a tough business. Nevertheless, next time I will go one door further.

Despite reservations, 8 other couples waited at the entrance for 45 minutes before being seated. Absolutely uncool to treat Friday evenings and people's time like that. When asked about it, I was ignored, there wasn't even a sorry.

Insanely delicious food. But much more important: incredibly nice service and perfect advice for gluten intolerance. All the other shops in the corner turn you away. Here dishes are modified until it suits you. A person who really knows his card and knows what goes where. Thanks!

We spontaneously went here this afternoon. Very friendly, very tasty, a bit of friendly chaos in the background. Hems up for that!

Food was amazingly delicious, we got free apetitizers. However, staf were running around so it took time to take the order.
