The food is good, but not great. The naan is a bit bland and dry. But that shouldn't put anyone off. It's still a good place 👍🏼

I visited Jaipur Restaurant yesterday and had a wonderful experience. The Indian food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend visiting this restaurant to anyone looking to enjoy authentic flavors and great hospitality.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was delicious — everything we ordered was great, but the starters were especially outstanding. What really made our visit special was the service. Our server, Nikunj, was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a perfect dining experience. Highly recommend this place, and big thanks to Nikunj for the wonderful service!

Great Indian Restaurant in Freiburg. Went there with my Gf and we had a great meal. We chose the starters to share and it came with 4 very different sauces. Ordered 2 different paneers as main dish, which was very solid. Definetly not a mistake to go there, when one‘s craving indian food.

Wie sich im kulinarisch gut versorgten und niveauvollen Freiburg ein solch bestenfalls durchschnittliches Restaurant so lange halten kann ist schon verwunderlich. Trotz halb leeren Restaurant an einen Tisch im Laufweg zur Toilette platziert, auf Bitten umgesetzt - 15 Minuten später war er wieder besetzt bei nach wie vor halb gebuchten Restaurant. Vorspeisen: Papadam (am) normaler Standard, Dips nur zum Teil hausgemacht. Hauptspeise Lamm Tikka immerhin Chef Spezial, schwach gewürzt, komplett durchgegart und trocken, auf einem Salat der schon zu dem Papad serviert wurde (gruener Salat, ein Schnitz Paprika und Radischen) und einer Sauce, die auch zum zweiten Hauptgericht Chicken Karashi serviert wurde.... Nett, dass die Teller vorgewärmt sind, wenn allerdings die Speisen auf kalten Platten serviert werden (und kein Stövchen im ganzen Restaurant zu sehen war) macht das erkennbar wenig Sinn. Alles in allem: von der Vielfalt und Qualität der indischen Kueche war hier leider nicht viel zu genießen.

It was my first time eating Indian food and I couldn't imagine it being tastier. Really beautiful ambience, staff very very nice and food 10/10! We got mango lassi on the house as dessert, super nice. I can only recommend it! The restaurant and toilets are also very clean. (By the way, it's very easy to reach on foot)

en tant qu'habitué chaque fois que nous sommes de passage à Fribourg nous avons l'habitude de manger au Jaipur , cette fois ci le repas était moyen pas de chauffe plat pour les préparations la fin du repas la viande était froide pas de chauffage dans la salle, je ne pense pas y retourné dommage par rapport a la première foi ou nous avons mangé labas nous somme très déçus

During my course in Freiburg I found this little “hidden” Indian and ordered garlic naan and chicken tikka masala to take away. The meal was ready in 15 minutes and we got a mango lassie (very delicious) on the house. People are also happy to give tips. The food was really delicious and recommended. The portion would also be enough for two. The staff was very friendly, so I would definitely eat there again.

A nice restaurant with super tasty food. We were there with a group of 6 people and ate all different dishes, which were all very tasty. The service is great and the conditions are super friendly and cheerful. They bring a smile to every guest's face. I would go again and recommend it to everyone.

Kann mich nur einer vor rezession anschließen das man in eine Ecke von einem unhöflichen kellner gedrückt wird ,waren das 2. Mal im Jaipur beides Mal mit unseren 2 kleinen braven Hunden und obwohl alles leer war und nichts direkt reserviert war sollten wir in die letze enge Ecke gesetzt werden ,auf unseren Einwurf das wir letztes Mal an ein andermal Tisch saßen ( und von einer netten weiblichen Kellnerin bedient wurden ) wurde unS offen gesagt das das der einzige Tisch mit Hunden ist .ich habe nichts dagegen das es auch Restaurants ohne Hunde gibt ,aber wenn sie erlaubt sind dann nicht so .das war das letzte Mal.....

Good Indian in the center of Freiburg. Price/performance ratio is right, the food was good. Atmosphere is rather sober and clothes smell strongly after visiting as there is an open kitchen. Nice and prompt service.

We had a table for 1.5 hours (18:00-19:30), what’s normally more than enough for us. We made an order 10 min after we arrived (18:10), but food got served at 19:10! We hade a feeling that they simply forgot about our order, and after more than 50 min of waiting we asked waiter again. Waiters and chef started coming every 5 min after we finally got food and asking if everything good (which was annoying and inappropriate after hour of waiting). We had one evening in Freiburg, and didn’t plan to spend such a long time for dinner. The food was good, but the service was so bad that we will never return. Jaipur is worth visiting only if you’re ready to wait and endure just to finally have a meal. Response: Yes, that’s exactly the problem—you weren’t even busy, and we waited for 50 minutes. It’s your job to explain the reason for the delay. All I needed was to know how soon our order would arrive. That was the exact question asked to the waiter. The answer was that it would be brought right away. We waited another 10 minutes. In any case, I wish you success in correcting your mistakes in the coming year & a Merry Christmas.

A 12/10!!! The food, especially the naan, was just wonderful, so if I can recommend a kitchen with a super funny, symphonic, open-minded staff then it would be JAIPUR!!😍😍😍

Short Version: Go there not just for amazing authentic desi indian food but also for their generous service and warm hospitality My family couldn't find any spot anywhere during peak holiday season and we just happened to come across this hidden gem. And we were just amazed at everything. The staff and everyone literally went out of their way to make us feel welcome and every thing we ordered was just made to perfection. I'm very picky about Indian restaurants in Europe this one topped my list. We got Achari Gosht which was so tender it was melting in our mouth. And also Chicken Tikka which paired with their chutney was just amazing. Oh and don't forget their bread basket so you can try all their best naans. It's an easy to miss place because you can't see it from the street directly but be prepared for an amazing experience.

Hello everyone, So the service was very nice. But guys, what we had was boring, tasteless and dry. Sorry... but there's certainly a better way.

This restaurant tries to silence unhappy customers by raising complaints of defamation with google rather than improving food quality and service standards!!! Jaipur - no idea what I’m talking about?!?! Shameful bullying behaviour

The food was not bad. The atmosphere was not ideal. But the behavior of manager was really annoying. His demeanor regarding providing a proper seat for the child or their behavior regarding getting the payment by card was unacceptable. I did not consider writing a review, however, they removed the rating my partner did in google with the cause "defamation". They cannot refuse any reviews they don't like as defamation.

I have been a satisfied customer for over 10 years (because of the food) but I have never experienced such outrageous service (two rude Indians) as today. They didn't want to serve me because I "just" wanted to drink an Indian tea and didn't want to order anything to eat. Only when the boss came, who knows me well, did they give in. The boss's new personnel selection was, to say the least, unsuccessful. The boss then invited me.

One of the great place to enjoy authentic Indian cuisine. They make fresh food and authentic tastes. The staff is very welcoming and kind to accommodate your requests. One of the coolest Indian restaurants to try out in Germany.

By far one of the worst experiences in recent years. Plate cold, drinks forgotten, naan bread that was ordered only came when the plate was almost eaten (so that the food doesn't get colder). The meat, sauces and side dishes were also rather bland or tasteless. Too bad. All in all, unfortunately not a recommendation.

Dass Personal war sehr freundlich, das Essen kam aber lauwarm auf den Tisch und war geschmacklich nur durschnittlich. Das Naan kam erst im Lauf der Hauptspeise dazu und war ebenfalls weniger ansprechend. Wenig Veranlassung, noch einmal hinzugehen.

The host was rather abrupt and cold in fact not at all accommodating when he saw that we were looking to eat dinner and had a small baby. When we requested him if we could do a take out instead the answer was a flat no. A pretty cold and an unwelcoming person. Sorry but it was not what I was expecting at an Indian place that too which is called Jaipur. Disappointed!

Leider können wir nichts zur Qualität der Speisen sagen, weil es nicht zu einer Bestellung kam. Wir wurden, als wir nach einem Tisch fragten, in die letzte Ecke gesetzt, obwohl Zweidrittel der Tische unbesetzt waren. Wir haben uns dann, nachdem wir gefragt haben umgesetzt. Das war ein Fehler! Danach wurden wir mit Missachtung gestraft. Die Speisekarte wurde auf dem ersten Tisch gelegt, nachdem wir ihn verlassen hatten. Als die Bedienung uns dann sagte, dass die Karten ja auf dem anderen Tisch liegen, sind wir aufgestanden und haben ein anderes Indisches Restaurant besucht, in dem wir dann wie Gäste behandelt wurden.

We had been to this restaurant with my infant daughter and it was an awesome experience. The staff, food, location and ambiance everything was great. We have tried mango lassi, dal and mixed veg biryani and liked all the dishes. The cook has adjusted the spiciness according to our daughter and she too has enjoyed the food.

Food was amazing and authentic. But the waiters and service was really bad. There is a clear difference in the way they treat fellow Indians and Germans assuming that we don’t speak German. Just to be clear, we speak German at a native level. Receiving this kind of service from an Indian restaurant is really disappointing!

Delicious Indian food, amazing naans and large portions.

Food could have been tasty if it was hot and seasoned. Chicken fried to perfection, very good. However, it also had to be re-salted. The service staff wasn't exactly unfriendly, but not in a way that made you feel comfortable either.

Very arrogant and unfriendly reception. We had been to this restaurant around 6.45 pm with kids and elderly parents . Kids were very hungry and we wanted to dine in but first the manager/owner denied accommodating us without reservation and in a couple of minutes he managed to prepare a table for six but on a condition to finish the dinner in an hour . Acceptable the condition somewhat reluctantly. But just before taking the seats he came up with another bizarre condition of cover up charge of 17.50 EUR per head (i.e one must order for minimum €17.50). Atrocious and obnoxious behavior. I told him simply that he cannot decide what and for how much we should eat. At once we quit the place and found a better restaurant nearby. Will never recommend this restaurant

The food was good but we were very poorly received. The servers were quite friendly but the manager was very aggressive and disrespectful. When we arrived he started by telling us aggressively that sometimes the card payment terminal didn't work and that we might have to pay in cash IF it didn't work. Then it strangely transformed into "cash only" even though there was a payment terminal. My partner was not very comfortable because he was very aggressive and insistent on cash. At the end of the meal we asked the waiters to try to pay by card (to avoid having to go out and find a bank), which one waiter did, the manager came rushing in and shouted at his waiters because he was very unhappy that we were trying to pay by card, he did not agree at all and approached my partner, intimidating her and shouting "I warned you, I 'Cash said! Not only is it very strange, even suspicious, to get so angry with everyone because we're trying to use the payment terminal (if it hadn't worked we would have simply gone looking for cash, we don't see). not the problem to try) and above all his behavior was disrespectful and unacceptable, he scared my partner. I don't recommend this restaurant at all, too bad for the other employees who seem competent but no one should treat customers like that

The food was great and flavourful the location was great (the sign is on the road but need to go in the passage and take the stairs to go up to the terrace) and interior was nicely decorated with professional kitchen staff behind the counter. The only negative thing was the rice which wasn't fully cooked nor fluffy (note to the management/ chef). Luckily, we're not as much interested in rice as we are on great flavourful curries. The mixed starter was a great selection which I recommend and seekh kabab was perfectly done (often I have ordered it in some places that were obvious being frozen store-bought but not this one).

One of the best Indian restaurant except from Nepal and India for me. The palak paneer was full of flavor and I finally found a chai tea that tastes like it does in Nepal. Bravo bravo!!!

Chicken related food is the best but lamb related dishes are not good at all. I will recommend here chicken biryani which I liked the most. Price is too high compared to all restaurants nearby which is not justified as per its taste. I will recommend to visit occasionally. Hopefully jaipur restaurant will improve its lamb related menus and review it's over inflated price. Thanks for the food.
