Super gemütlich, sowohl zum Drinnensitzen als auch draußen an den Tischen. Das Alt ist bernsteinfarben und schmeckt ausgezeichnet. Der Service ist freundlich und fix - hier muss man gewesen sein!

Unfortunately, Köbes is sometimes a bit off track and doesn't manage to deliver a new old one on a regular basis. That's on Oststr. 1000 times better.

Finally a freshly tapped Schumacher...or two. And the Eifel cream goulash from deer...

Typical Altbier pub in Düsseldorf. People go there to chat, drink Altbier and eat something. I can recommend the pub to everyone

Saturday evening. A group of five men wants to drink an Alt. Our Köbe Pascal quickly brought one alto after the next, killepitsch and the venison goulash with red cabbage was fantastic. An evening that we would like to repeat. All in all a really nice and clean establishment. The food was great, the Alt was great and the Köbes was our man of the evening!

Very famous brewery in the city of Düsseldorf. To find a place you need to book well in advance. The interior is large and chaotic but pleasant. You can taste the typical specialties of German cuisine including pork shank. The staff is attentive enough but lacks human contact. German prices.

Called in for drinks. The young waiter huffed and puffed and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We were then served by an older gentleman who took a 2 Euro tip when we paid the bill without us offering!

What a terrible tent. Service not friendly and the food was inedible. Spongy mashed potato balls that tasted and were like wallpaper paste in texture. I understand that it is difficult for 84 people, but the tent was a third full by us. So they should be able to handle this.

Waiters are friendly and motivated. The managing director (rather male in appearance from a distance) makes an unpleasant impression. She treats her guests rudely, condescendingly and with a very unfriendly tone. The whole way is absurd these days. Letting someone like that go to the front as CEO is a sign of mismanagement. Brewhouse culture trampled under foot. Who feels comfortable there as a guest and employee? This will be noticeable...

Super friendly, especially with small children. Food great 👍 all in all it's really worth staying there.

Anyone who hasn't been to the golden cauldron hasn't gotten to know the old town. Beer delicious. Service on point and food very tasty.

I loved the interior of the restaurant. It wasn't too busy when I arrived, and so service was fast, friendly and efficient. The food I ordered - schnitzel - was really nice.

The waiter clearly showed that he was unhappy with the tip. Otherwise everything was fine.

Delicious beer, friendly staff, but around 11 p.m. the cash was already being taken outside and the table was practically pulled out from under us while the key was still full outside. But the potato pancakes are highly recommended there.

The brewery is a Düsseldorf institution and has the typical brewery atmosphere. In my opinion, the menu is quite manageable and at times the dishes are quite expensive. A pork schnitzel with fried potatoes for 22 euros is already expensive. Sure, you have to pay for the location in the old town, but the taste of the food is good, but not world class. My brewery meatball, for example, wasn't juicy at all, rather dry. The service was also quite slow, even though the brewery wasn't particularly busy. Nevertheless, you can definitely stop here for a visit to the brewery.

Great beer but atmosphere is not as the fun as the Schumacher location that was closer to the central train station.

Great beer hall in the centre of Dusseldorf where you are sure of a good Altbeer. Stayed here for a few drinks and was a really good atmosphere for a Tuesday night. Certainly worth checking out

No TVs. Same good Schumacher Alt as you get at Schumacher brewery. I preferred the BrauHaus Schumacher itself. Though this is in the Alt stadt where there are many bars.

Delicious Alt beer style is served here. With friendly Köbes. One of the best breweries in Düsseldorf. Highly recommend also to try the 1838'er beer too.

Schumacher Altbier, in my opinion the tastiest Altbier....😉 Located in the middle of the old town, lots of bar tables, attentive service. ....relaxed atmosphere

I've been to the Golden Cauldron many times. If you value a typical brewery ambience, then you've come to the right place. If you want good service and good food, probably not. The waiters are always pretty grumpy and sometimes really unfriendly. The prices for food and beer have also risen sharply

Schumacher Alt, like the other fresh beers, absolutely flawless and delicious. The ambience is also great, the service is also good, but the prices for the dishes are very exclusive.

A wonderful, old-fashioned inn. Altbier and schnapps are drunk here! There's no shishi for food, just meat, non-vegetarian sauces (yes - even on salad) and hearty sayings when you make a fool of the Köbe! Quaint! You stand at wooden tables or sit down with strangers and come into contact. Very uncomplicated and truly Lower Rhine!

What a wonderful gastronomic experience and very good service. Everything very well prepared and sensational. Best experience in enjoying pork in the best place, Germany, and in a traditional place that serves the best dishes and beers.

The waiter is rude and kinda racist. It seems Asian people are not welcome in this place at all. We are not local and we are not white, so what? Next time you should put a sign of ‘Asians not allowed’ if you do not want us there! And we will never be there

Very nicely decorated restaurant, in the middle of the longest bar in the world. Starters beautifully regional and delicious. The main courses were not too small, but not too much either, and tasty. We recommend. The service is quick and on point.

We were just at the Golden Kessel in Düsseldorf!!! It can't be that the Köbes says that you should sit at another table - it could be that he might need the 8th table. The whole store was empty at 12 p.m. We then went to the key and sat there at an 8th table. It works At around 12.45 I looked on the way to the car park and lo and behold, the table was still empty. Very surprising. Is this what we mean by hospitality?

You can like a place like this, at least if you don't mind the enormous background noise. The waiters are quick, but not overly friendly. I had a schnitzel + side dishes, which was edible but not particularly tasty. Definitely a great place for beer drinkers, but not really suitable for a Christmas party with colleagues.

This is how I imagined a rustic Hofbräuhaus. Staff was great. Understand fun and make fun too. The food was delicious and so was the beer. We will come back, no question

I visited here after being recommended by a local person I first met at a coffee shop! The food was so delicious! I ordered a dish called Kasseler Lummer, and it was delicious, and the beer suited my taste better than any other place! In the middle of the parade, people came in and drank! It seems like a local restaurant!!! lol

Nice atmosphere, fast service, food and drink is great. We always make reservations in good time otherwise things could get tight. Greetings from the water rescue team to the whole team!

Quaint brewery, unfortunately not always open on weekends

I’m not great fun on traditional German food but service and beers are great. Not best Altbier in town but still worth a visit.

Für Leute die im Akkord Bier trinken wollen immer ein volles Glas auf dem Tisch, Kellner sehr auf Umsatz bedacht. Speisen lauwarm .

Leckerer Grünkohl gute Portion, die anderen Gerichte fallen teilweise relativ klein aus, sind aber relativ hochpreisig für ein Brauhaus. Geschmacklich aber tip top.

Wie immer ein toller Nachmittag, gutes Bier, nette Menschen, TOP Bedienungen. Hilft immer, Heimweh nach Bayern zu vertreiben.
