Was expecting more from the food. Instead of a bowl, I literally got a salad. I can’t name that a bowl. Was not tasty at all. It was very hot! I can’t understand what is the problem to turn on the ac. Half of the area was closed, so you’re not able to sit where you want. Asked for children chair and I was shocked how dirty it was. I tried to wipe it by myself at least, but that was not possible. The WC was very dirty as well.

I've been sitting outside the restaurant for 20 minutes now, and so far, no one has come to serve me. Another couple arrived 15 minutes ago, they just got up and left. I went in briefly, and no one paid me any attention. It's not particularly busy inside either. I'm pretty disappointed; I would have liked something to eat. Edit: I went back inside to let them know that I've been sitting there for 20 minutes, and another couple has left in the meantime. There's a young, dark-haired man behind the counter who practically yells at me that the outside area is closed. I wanted to know why they didn't let me know. The response was, "Outside is closed." The tables outside were set, and nothing was locked. So, it looked open, which is how the couple felt, too (plants and ashtrays were on the tables). Contrary to the young man's statement, the benches weren't wet either. Instead of offering me a seat inside, he said in a snippy tone, "Have a nice day." I'm really angry and simply stunned. I'll never eat there again! That's definitely not the way to treat guests.

Delicious burgers at a fair price. We were really pleasantly surprised by the burgers. There are many options (almost too many), and there's something for everyone. Our only criticism was the cleanliness of the restaurant. There's a lot of room for improvement here.

After the negative reviews, we were skeptical and gave the place a try. The food was okay. The burger was fine, the fries weren't. The fries with cheese sauce had hardly any cheese. However, they (presumably) included bacon bits, which weren't listed as an ingredient on the menu. So, not recommended for vegetarians. After I wanted to pay, instead of bringing the bill, the waiter (continued to) prepare a table inside that had been vacated long before and clearly didn't need to be available again immediately, as the restaurant was almost completely empty. I found this extremely unreasonable, as I obviously had to wait an unnecessarily long time. The price was definitely on the high side: €30 per person for a burger, a small side dish, and a drink. My friend said three stars is too much.

Good and tasty for young burger lovers, especially because of the large selection of non-meat patties. But the portion is far too small for the target audience – it won't be cheap, dear parents...😉

The ambiance is relatively simple; sometimes I missed the backrests on the benches to lean back on. But everything else was excellent. The service was very friendly!

Extremely polite guys, especially Lukas, who spontaneously bought us shots and brought us snacks. The food is absolutely worth the price. Beautiful ambiance. Perfect for larger groups. Definitely stop by!

Solid burger restaurant in a more quiet area away from the city center. The drinks are diverse and creative. The burgers are okay. Lots of options to choose from.

It was the first time in a few years that I was back at Hans im Glück. The portions are smaller, the prices are higher and the food is less tasty than it was back then. For €22 you get a relatively small, mediocre tasting burger, a tiny portion of fries and a drink. At other burger shops I eat much tastier food for the same money. I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Our waiter was very personable, friendly, accommodating. We had a small problem and it was fixed immediately. Food top as always. Thank you very much and remember: “Laughter is healthy”. 😉

Very nice restaurant with stylish furnishings. The food was excellent and with the cocktail cubes that are available on Fridays, we paid 11 euros for two mojitos. Highly recommended!

The price-performance ratio is simply not right. Burger with lukewarm cheese and bun, unfortunately disappointing. The chairs are also uncomfortable. There are better burger restaurants in Heidelberg :)

Today I was at “Hans im Glück” for the first and last time. I ordered a classic burger and a lemonade using the QR code attached to the table. The lemonade came quickly and the orange lemonade didn't taste like orange but rather like watered down lemon. The classic burger was put together very carelessly, the bun was not toasted but cold. There was also an onion ring on the burger - I would have expected a lot more, especially based on the pictures. The taste was ok - no impact but you could eat it. Then I tried to call the service to pay using the corresponding function on the order page. The first time at 8:01 p.m., at 8:10 p.m. and now it's 8:24 p.m. and nothing happens. If you offer a service like this, you should also make sure that it works and is processed. There has also been no inquiry so far as to whether I would like to order anything else or not. Pleasant and friendly gastronomy is different. The ambience is ok - but the music is way too loud in my opinion. After 25 minutes of waiting, I spoke to a service person about the payment process - now I can finally go.

Very tasty food and great ambience

I don't know if that was your fault, but I think so. I ate a Borger with a reiberdatschie and an elderberry mint lemonade and after an hour I had diarrhea. Please take a look at the best before date of your products. Food was still delicious

Very disappointing for a restaurant specializing in hamburgers. The “Hans im Glück Burger” was simply loveless, probably a frozen patty. Neither juicy nor yummy. Brioche buns slightly burnt and dry. The fries tasted like oven fries and definitely didn't come out of the deep fryer.

We were there with 7 people and had a reservation. We were warmly welcomed and served and the food was very good! A successful afternoon.

I've just returned from Hans im Glück in Bahnstadt. Ate a vegetarian burger and drank a beer, that came to 18 euros. So with a tip I left 20 euros there. The price/performance ratio was shockingly far apart.

Excellent burgers and salads. Accommodation staff, chill ambiente. Overall good value for money. A little loud if you want to have a conversation.

My friends and I have eaten there a few times. The store is great, the atmosphere is very relaxing, very competent service. Personally, I love the drinks.

We were there in the evening at the weekend, but felt really embarrassed after the visit. Unfortunately, we only noticed this with the bill afterwards. We ordered a burger + fries and a cocktail but not as a menu because it was cocktail happy hour and otherwise we would have had a much higher price. Ultimately we were charged for the evening menu even though this was never mentioned. At 10 p.m. the payment was made straight away even though it was still open for an hour. A few minutes before we ordered a blackberry cocktail, which for no reason, as we were one of the last in the restaurant, was only served after over 15 minutes and 80% of the contents were just ice cubes (see picture/we hardly drank anything and the glass was empty). Unfortunately, this is not the first time that such tricks have been used here. We were really regular guests and enjoyed being there every week, but that's all over now

The WiFi connection is very weak here and they don't give us the WiFi password for the restaurant.

The burger was delicious as always, and sweet potato fries.

Smashed Burger was very good but expensive… Unfortunately the service staff was too busy!? We were often left high and dry. But very friendly! The ambience is typically very natural with the birch trees, but benches and stools without backrests are unsuitable for a comfortable and longer stay (meeting). But maybe that's the strategy? More different customers instead of “sit-downers”? There are also niches that are very comfortable, but we were a few too many people for that.

It used to be good, but the quality of the food continues to decline. There used to be real goat cheese on the burger, now there are still 5 crumbs, the service is also decreasing, despite asking twice, we got napkins ourselves Atmosphere is nice, but we certainly won't be able to eat again.

Uncomfortable seats, burger buns and sauces were swapped around, but when it came back it still had the wrong sauce on it. But actually tasty and nice staff. Drinks way too sweet

What we really like is the free kids menu on Sundays for children up to six years old. The drinks like homemade iced tea and lemonade are also very good. Burgers can be improved. Nothing special. Ambience with birch trunks are very nice and the staff was very friendly.

Good burger and nice atmosphere. We were happy with our Hans im Glück visit. There was a lot going on when we visited Hans im Glück and as a result the service was under stress. The burgers from western to full-bodied to barker were all very tasty. There wasn't much to go wrong with the fries, they were crispy and golden brown. The highlight was the onion rings with garlic sauce.

I went here quickly a few years ago and had a bad experience with the staff but yesterday it was much better and the staff were very polite and knowledgeable. The food was very, very good but a little more expensive (for the portion you got) but it was still worth it. I like the inside of the restaurant and, as I said, the staff was very polite and competent this time. So in itself a great place, I will come back.

Since the reviews for the restaurant are quite bad and we are very satisfied with our order, we would like to share that too. We ordered via Lieferando. We can't say anything about the local service conditions.

When we visit the Bahnstadt in Heidelberg, we always include a visit to Hans im Glück. Very tasty burgers that you can put together yourself, the price/performance/service is right. We would definitely come back.

I'm super annoyed...public space in which you go shopping, go out to eat, go to the ATM, go to the pharmacy, meet up with friends, the space is now enlivened by private property that is "parking space managed" via camera: For some time now you have been getting a fine of at least €40 from the company parkvision if you use a scooter. License plate is scanned and done. Everything is legal and correct - nevertheless: Dear city of Heidelberg, seriously now?? Gadamerplatz in Bahnstadt is private property? At least 200 bicycles and e-bikes every day violate the forbidden "entry of all types of vehicles" and that is tolerated, whereas a scooter has to pay? Well, there's little you can do...but you can at least warn all potential victims...💪🏼 We're not allowed in the underground car park or in the square... we just go shopping somewhere else ...😂 And just to mention in passing, anyone who buys a scooter for several thousand euros and loves "dolce vita" is not the worst customer/guest/host... It's a shame that the dolce vita with "parkvision" at Gadamerplatz has now come to an end for me...🤷🏼‍♂️👋🏻🛵🇮🇹

We had a fantastic cocktail evening at Hans im Glück! The atmosphere was great, the cocktails were incredibly tasty, and the service, especially Timea, was simply outstanding. She was friendly, attentive and made our evening perfect. Thank you for the great service – we will definitely be back!

The Hans im Glück can be reached in 5-10 minutes on foot from the train station. There are a few places available, but reservations are recommended. We were warmly welcomed and taken straight to our table. The service was consistently friendly and attentive and we regularly asked whether everything was OK. In addition to vegetarian and meat burgers, the menu also includes bowls and a large selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. Our burgers were prepared relatively quickly and tasted very tasty, including all the side dishes. Dessert was also quickly picked up and served. In terms of price, Hans im Glück is on a par with other burger restaurants.

The food arrived quickly and was served by different service providers. There is a lot going on on weekends or weekday evenings, so reservations are recommended. Prices are a bit expensive but tasty. I can only recommend it, I have been there and eaten there several times with colleagues/friends. Won't be the last visit.

Unfortunately, I called at 8:00 p.m. and was assured that I could pick up the food on site until at least 9:00 p.m. I was there at 8:45 p.m. and the boss personally said "the kitchen is closed", despite the house being full and deliveries going through. Although the waiter beforehand asked me to wait to order. So, speechless

I'm disappointed 🙁 We were really hungry and craving burgers, so we ordered (directly online) from Hans im Glück. It took almost an hour until the food was supposedly on its way to us - and from then on it took another 25 minutes for a route that I would have walked in 5 minutes. By the time we got our food, the fries were of course soggy and the burgers were still lukewarm at best. The burgers - although they tasted quite good - were poorly topped, didn't look very appetizing and the beef patty was still very pink. The performance doesn't match the price and unfortunately this wasn't the first disappointing experience with (this) Hans im Glück...

Great atmosphere, I can only recommend it

I find it very pleasant there. The service is friendly and not intrusive, which I like. I also find the option of paying via the QR code to be a good alternative. All in all great! Gladly again.

First day: All orders and the invoice correct! Strong start! Update November 2024: Service now under control. Only menu is still complicated: No thirst quenchers in the children's menu?
