Cool location, good food, friendly service.

The taste of the food is okay. However, the restaurant is designed more for eating quickly and then leaving. Seats are far too narrow unless you want to cuddle with strangers back to back. Service forgets you every now and then.

Awesome burgers and bowls and also vegan and veg friendly We had the avocado bowl and the walnut patty burger and the avocado burger All were good 👍 The service was pretty slow, he also forgot to give us cutlery and we helped ourselves with the next tables Prices are maybe a little high but one entire burger along with a drink is too heavy But would still visit 😃

Actually quite nice. But unfortunately I have to deduct 2 stars because 1. extremely cold, that's not possible in winter, that you freeze there, so it was uncomfortable. 2. the toilets, unfortunately I couldn't go to them because I was so disgusted. I don't know if you're aware of this, but the first toilet is leaking water?! The whole floor was wet and there was a sign in front of it saying “danger of slipping”, which was definitely not a wipe but from the toilet. And there was no paper in the cubicles either. And 3. you should bring the food to a group so that 3 don't get their burgers and the 4th has to wait another 15 minutes. I think it's because of the stress, but I thought it was a shame about these things. I've been to a few HiG in other cities and the one in HD disappointed me a bit. Please be sure to take care of the temperature in the restaurant. I've already read this in another review.

Listless employee. Everything else is standard fast food

Ludicrously rude personal - the first waiter told us to choose any of the free tables and a latter told us rudely to sit in the hallway. After asking whether sitting in a nicer place was possible our waiter told us no and „tough luck“ and said that we might as well leave then. Not coming here ever again. And absolutely can‘t recommend.

The food was very good, the service was also fabulous. The atmosphere was pleasant throughout.

My first visit to Hans im Glück and probably the last. Okay, they want to be hip. The interior design is probably well received by some people, but of course it is also very cramped. The burgers are nothing extraordinary in terms of taste, more like run-of-the-mill. For 2 people (lunch menu) around €40 was saved. The service was great but you can definitely get cheaper and better food elsewhere.

Food and ambience is awesome; like all of their chains. The service is kind of average i would say. We were here to celebrate my birthday. It was a nice evening with those ambient lights and music. The burgers were juicy and yummy as usual. I did not like my Gin cocktail with basil; because it is supposed to be freshly prepared with smashing and not from the bottled basil drink. All in all it was okay.

Spacious inside with beautiful decorations. Excellent menu, I had a chicken bowl with a house cocktail.

A great place to enjoy a delicious homemade burger. The wooden interior is impressive, and the patty doesn't have a bad flavor.

After a few tries, I don't find the combinations of ingredients to be suitable here. Service was good.

Service and food great!! However, the shop was really very cold - almost unbearable without a winter jacket.

Top location, food good if not exceptional

We left before we ordered because we were treated very unfriendly several times. We were there as a family and have really well-behaved children, one was just sleeping peacefully in our arms, and there was also an elderly woman with lame feet. First it was about where we had to wait (several times and we always tried to position ourselves correctly according to these instructions), then that we had to spread ourselves across two tables that were far away from each other, even though we were already a little closer together sat together at the table as planned. There were several much larger tables available next to us. I worked in service myself for a long time and would never have spoken to guests in such a tone. It was really bad and loud. We had not exhibited any unusual misconduct or behavior that was unacceptable for service. I don't know what could have been the problem on our part. Too bad. By the way, this was the second time this happened. Was it because of the children/larger family?

The food is quite good. Unfortunately it's far too narrow and there aren't even proper chairs with backrests. Tables also much too small. Here they try to squeeze in as many guests as possible. But I can also imagine that we are not part of the target group. Maybe others don't have such demands on a restaurant. For me it is a snack bar with, in comparison, higher food quality and service.

Über's Essen kann ich leider nichts sagen - wir kamen nicht dazu. Wir, zu dritt, wollten gerne nach einer abendlichen Stadtführung im "Hans im Glück Heidelberg" einkehren. Auf unsere Frage, wie lange geöffnet wäre, bekamen wir zur Antwort: "Unter normalen Umständen bis 22 Uhr." ??? Unsere Bitte um eine Tischreservierung auf 20.45 Uhr bekamen wir eine abschlägige Antwort - Reservierungen werden nur bis 20 Uhr angenommen! Optimistisch, einen freien Tisch zu bekommen, kamen wir um 20.45 Uhr ins Lokal. Freie Tische gab's genug, aber nichts mehr zu essen, die Küche hatte schon geschlossen! Aber zu trinken hätten wir noch was bekommen. Das haben wir dann dankend abgelehnt und im Lokal nebenan getrunken UND gegessen Und bis 22.30 Uhr gesessen. Sehr gemütlich und willkommen. Fazit: Nie wieder Hans im Glück, egal wo!

The staff is really unfriendly, makes exceptions for other groups and doesn't let anyone talk to them. This is not how you behave as a waitress in a restaurant.

The food was fantastic as always, unfortunately the restaurant was a bit drafty, we sat on the aisle and were a bit cold. Service was very friendly, especially the gentleman behind the bar!

The food there was really great. It wasn't a lot, but it was absolutely enough for all of us. The service was also appropriate depending on the number of visitors. Really recommended.

It was delicious and enjoyable...as always. I love the coleslaw, it tastes unique. And then vegan too, great. Had a still soda...peach lime. It was really tasty and super refreshing. The burgers are also always great with fresh ingredients. We quickly had a place...even without reserving and paying was also quick. Grade 1+ from me.

We were in Heidelberg over the weekend and landed there in the evening. The ambience was very nice. Even though it was very busy and the service had their hands full, they were very attentive and friendly. The menu is clear and the food was very tasty.

Everything was the same as usual at HiG. Friendly service, quality and prices OK. It was just annoying that you had to wait 2-3 minutes in front of the restaurant (because of space and cleaning) and then it ended up being almost 15 minutes. As I said, everyone is afut and you can easily go to the burger joint. However, the HiG is still not my No. 1 among burger shops.

Nice restaurant with good burgers. I find the seating areas too narrow. Things are tight, especially in larger groups. I don't think the sweet potatoes are good compared to the normal potatoes. The burgers are delicious, although I found the chicken better. The service is quick. The food was delivered in a pleasant time. The prices for burgers are 6-8€, depending on which options you choose, you can easily go over 10€. The buns are delicious and there are also whole grains. Payment is possible both in cash and by card.

We were there when the castle fireworks were going on in the evening. Accordingly, it was very full and we, like many others, had to wait until a seat was available. However, ordering and delivering the dishes went quite quickly despite the house being full.

Extremely friendly and courteous staff. Menu prices excl. BURGERS are average and quite OK. BURGERS taste... but nothing more. I think the quality has decreased extremely. The ambience is somewhat nice, unfortunately some places and corners are extremely narrow... only for slim people...

Estaba de paso por Heidelberg y se topó con este restaurante slash peculiar hamburguesería boscosa. Gran selección de hamburguesas (una estafa no es gluten - pan gratis, pero pueden hacerlo en una envoltura de lechuga) . Papas fritas de trufa al lado. El servicio es realmente bueno para los estándares alemanes. ¡Volveré otra vez!

Good burgers at a reasonable price.

Insgesamt war das Erlebnis leider enttäuschend. Der Tisch war nicht sauber, wir mussten uns das Menü selbst holen, und es gab weder Messer noch Gabel noch Servietten. Die Burger waren für den Preis viel zu klein, und wir mussten ewig warten, bis endlich jemand kam, um uns die Rechnung zu bringen. Zum Schluss war das WC unsauber und es fehlte Toilettenpapier. Der Service ließ deutlich zu wünschen übrig. Und dennoch erwartete das Personal am Ende tatsächlich noch Trinkgeld. Das ist wirklich unglaublich!

The service was top right from the start - the staff is super friendly, attentive and makes you feel comfortable. The burgers 🍔 were incredibly tasty, perfectly prepared and topped with fresh ingredients. The fries 🍟 were also crispy and golden brown – exactly how they should be. The location is excellent, in the middle of the city and easily accessible. Particularly noteworthy is the beautiful interior design: a great mix of modern design and cozy flair that invites you to linger. You immediately feel welcome and can enjoy the ambience to the fullest. Visited twice - excellent twice!

Virkelig lækker mad, mange valgmuligheder, særligt deres salat bravour var den bedste salat jeg længe har fået. Deres hjemmelavede “tørstslukker” var fantastisk særligt den med grapefrugt. Mange veganske valgmuligheder.

Service wasn't exactly friendly, people sat completely on top of each other, the taste of the food was absolutely poor for the price, it was at the same level as the yellow burger shop. The fries for that price were cold and not good.

Unfortunately my experience at this restaurant wasn't the best. The tables with seating were very narrow. If you wanted to lean, you actually had to do so against the back of the person across the table. Therefore, the restaurant is more for eating and not for really lingering afterwards. Other than that we were seated at the bar. The bartender did his best, but was very unprofessionally insulted and insulted by the (presumably) chef de service. The service was generally mediocre as it was completely overwhelmed and there seemed to be too few staff. Our chocolate milk arrived about 15 minutes after the bill. We were then able to enjoy this at a table that had still not been cleared away. All in all it was a disappointing visit.

I ordered a bacon and cheese hamburger, the meat was very dry and unfortunately the sauce wasn't tasty. Drinks ordered were not served. I won't visit here anymore.

Excellent! Huge, delicious servings, very picky teenagers were fully satisfied. We had chicken breast salads and vegan burgers accompanied by tasty lemonades. Very nice service. Friendly prices in the middle of old town. The waiting time could have been shorter, but it is already full season. You speak German? Well, toilet door plates are in... Kupfalz dialekt which is nice and funny, but gave us a moment of hesitation, you'd better get check it out before you go downstairs ;-D

Tolles Ambiente, tolle Menu Angebote, besonders mittags! Leider war eine der Toiletten defekt, sodass es etwas unangenehm gerochen hat.

I went here with my friends after a long day of shopping so we were really tired luckily the food and drinks were amazing and got us back on our feet! there was this nice sever Sogand I believe her name was and she was so friendly and talkative it was such a nice experience! 분위기도 좋고 마르크트 광장 바로 옆이라 접근성도 최고에요. 패티에서 육향이 부드럽게 나고, 빵도 아주 잘 어울립니다. 클래식이랑 와이더윈터 먹었고, 아보카도 딥 추가했는데 아주 굳굳 이에요. 관광객에게도 아주 친절합니다! Its atmosphere is very nice and good to eat burger. And good to visit because its location is on markt platz. Smell of patti was soft , had good balence with bun. We got classic and wilder western with avocado dip ( it was fresh!) And their service was perfect because it is tourist friendly.

We eat there every time we are in Heidelberg. I appreciate they have a good atmosphere and good veggie options.

Wirklich gute Location, zwar sehr voll aber trotzdem schnelle und nette Bedienung.

Essen war sehr gut und die Portionen sehr groß, sodass man sehr gut satt wurde zu fairen Preisen. Es gibt viele vegetarische und vegane Bürger zur Auswahl, dennoch könnte die Auswahl/Abwechslung hier für meinen Geschmack etwas größer sein (unterschiedliche Patties etc.). Ich hatte den Olivenhain Burger mit normalen Burger-Käse anstatt von Ziegenkäse. Die Kombination mit Avocado war sehr lecker. Was uns nicht so gefallen hat, dass es schon nachmittags/am frühen Abend sehr voll werden kann und das Personal dann etwas überfordert scheint. Zunächst hat es lange gedauert, bis wir auf Nachfrage überhaupt bedient wurden und dann wurde später als wir unser Essen bekommen haben zunächst noch das Trinken vergessen. Dafür war das Essen sehr schnell da, das muss positiv hervorgehobenen werden. Insgesamt sicher ein guter Ort um lecker Burger zu essen.

Die Bedienungen waren trotz des volles Restaurants mehr als nett. Der Burger, Pommes, Getränke waren wie immer ganz lecker. Einfach tolles Essen. ABER die Toiletten, wie hier schon öfter bemängelt, müsst ihr wirklich sofort in Angriff nehmen. Der Gestank, der Dreck, die Enge, die ungesicherte Baustelle in der Herrentoilette. Puh, das war mehr als grenzwertig. Zudem wird die Toilette auch von Männern genutzt, die keine Lust haben um die Ecke zum Alternativklo zu laufen. Das geht gar nicht. Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn das Problem behoben wurde.
