A very nice restaurant! Visually stunning and spotlessly clean, as you'd expect from Hans im Glück. The seating is a bit cramped, but still perfectly adequate and comfortable. I'd especially like to commend the service – incredibly friendly, polite, and attentive. The server regularly checked if we'd like another drink and even gave us some tips for exploring Heidelberg at the end. A truly wonderful first evening in Heidelberg – great food, a great atmosphere, and an all-around positive experience!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A true highlight in Heidelberg! I recently visited Hans im Glück in Heidelberg and was absolutely thrilled. I especially want to commend the exceptionally friendly service – attentive, warm, and with genuine smiles that made the visit even more enjoyable. The Smash Burger was divine: perfectly cooked, juicy, and with a fantastic combination of fresh ingredients. Add to that the cozy atmosphere with its typical birch forest flair – simply perfect all around. I'll definitely be back!

We made a reservation in advance for 12 people. Unfortunately, they didn't think it necessary to seat us at the same table as a private party. If the space generally doesn't accommodate such large groups, it would have been nice to have been informed of this when making the reservation. The two separate tables we were given were so small that we could hardly move and were crammed together, like in factory farming. Even after repeatedly requesting an alternative, we were refused. It also seemed that our food couldn't be taken and brought to our tables at the same time. This meant that one table had already finished eating while the other table hadn't even had theirs yet. The food was still delicious, the price was a bit high, but it was okay.

It's not a good idea to assign seats at the bar like that, because you have the back of the person behind you (if they're a bit overweight) to you the whole time. The waiters were very overwhelmed, and no one felt responsible for us. After waiting for over 20 minutes, the kitchen was unfortunately already closed. The door displays various opening hours, so you can't be sure how long it's actually open.

Stopped in here for a quick bite to eat on our trip to Heidelberg. It wasn’t too busy and the atmosphere & music was amazing. Food looked delicious and they have deals for each day of the week for certain food types - we went on a Monday so it was “any pizza €7.80” The only let down was the fact there was no vegan pizzas or any kind of substitutes in order for us to take part in the Monday special deals. The waiter did not understand what vegan was despite being told in both English & German that mozzarella is indeed, not vegan. Overall. 8/10. Would highly recommend for a quick bite to eat or for a night out with friends/family. Just make sure your waiter is aware what is and isn’t vegan!

Food is amazing, atmosphere okay, but service partially sucks. Was here on Friday. When me and my friend entered it was pretty packed and we were seated right at the door. The (presumably) manager was the one seating people. He was often screaming at customers, berating them, and just being super unprofessional showing the perfect opposite of Customer Service. One group that entered even pointed it out to him,, not like he cared anyways. The service to the table was nice and that part of staff was friendly. Food was amazing, crispy fries and juicy burgers. Recommended for food, not necessarily for the management:)

Hans im Glück isn't necessarily one of my favorites. It's solid and offers a good average—but if you're not sure where to go, it's definitely a reliable compromise.

Jadranka served us very kindly and courteously. We'd be happy to come back.

The burgers were good, and so was the service. The tables aren't that clean, so you should be aware of that. It's definitely worth checking out when you're in Heidelberg.

I went here for dinner with my friends for the first time today. The ambiance and food were excellent. The service loses a point because we had to wait a really long time to pay. I had to tell another employee who was clearing the table. It would be great if they paid a little more attention to the guests. 😅

The staff was quick and super friendly. Our burgers were delicious. The non-alcoholic cocktails weren't worth the money. The place was packed, but the staff were really great. The restrooms were unfortunately not in good condition... Referring male guests to the public restroom, which is unreasonable, is a no-go when visiting a restaurant. Another solution should be found here, such as cooperation with neighboring restaurants. The responsibility for the condition of the open women's restroom naturally lies with the users. The staff tried to remedy this immediately, but it definitely lowered our rating by one star. Even without a defect, I think two women's restrooms are simply too few for so many guests.

It's 8:40 PM and the waitress told us the kitchen is closed. Even though the page says it closes at 10:00 PM, let's just say there's not much desire to work.

We easily got a table outside late on a Sunday afternoon and received quick and friendly service. The burgers arrived promptly and were delicious. Kudos to Patrick and his colleagues.

The food came quite quickly. Friendly, funny service. Best wishes to Konstantin :) My burger with the meat was unfortunately a bit tough, but otherwise it was delicious. I was there as a team and with friends. It was busy, so making a reservation in advance is best. With friends, I was told that service was only available in cash and not with cards; with others, it was possible. It's very cramped there, and there's hardly any room to move around. There are plenty of seating options for couples, solo, or as a group. I can recommend the one in Bahnstadt, it's better than the one in the city.

The server was very friendly and personable. The ambiance was fantastic. You just feel at home there. We had a lunch menu that you could put together yourself. The burgers were super delicious, as were the sweet potato fries. The thirst quenchers are highly recommended. All in all, simply top-notch!

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had, I got the Lunch combo Hochstapler Burger Fries Mango ginger ice tea Hot chocolate Delicious and good service, lots of wasps around in the summer but manageable.

It took a while to be seated, but they served us quickly. We ordered two beers and two burgers, which came without fries, so we had to ask for them later. They didn't ask me how cooked the meat was, and it was a little overcooked. It had a good flavor, but it was hard to eat.

Unfortunately, we had to wait a very long time to place our order. We were somehow ignored. Then we waited just as long for the food. After the meal (burger and salad), we still weren't full.

Solid smash burger. Prices are average for Heidelberg city center. The benches are heavily stained, which spoils the ambiance. Service, however, is super friendly.

I ordered delivery. I used the Wolt app, but since the restaurant itself delivers, real-time location sharing isn't possible. The restaurant staff contacted me via WhatsApp to notify me of the delivery departure and arrival. The delivery was on time, and the delivery person was very friendly. I ordered the Hand im Glück burger. The brioche bun was soft, and the combination of onions, sauce, beef patty, and lettuce was perfect. The potato chips I ordered with it were also delicious. Unlike the typical German fries, they were thin and crispy, making them a special experience. I think I'll be visiting often before I return home.

A very impressive church inside. Everything is painted white. Very beautiful.

We waited more than hour to get our food and when we complained about it, the waitress told us that is the “norm” and that we should know that. When is full and Saturday is the way it is. I would recommend to please share that information before entering the place. Honestly, not worth the wait!

The waitress was very nice and the food was also very tasty. I would come again. It is also very quiet and very nice.

We ate at Hans im Glück. The fries were great, as always—crispy and well-seasoned. The burger was okay; I've had better. But the homemade sauces were once again really delicious—as you'd expect! My drink was large, refreshing, and tasted absolutely fantastic. The only downside: It's quite crowded inside—the tables are close together, which makes it a bit uncomfortable. Overall, though, a solid visit.

Friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately, the prices are relatively high, and the sweet potato fries, for example, were soft and not very good. Hence, unfortunately, only 3 stars.

Delicious food, friendly and fast service, what more could you want

We initially waited outside for a very long time. Finally, a server arrived, and we'd found keys on the table. We assumed they belonged to someone else. The server took them away without a thank you and walked away, and we hadn't even received our menu yet. We finally sat down inside, and it took at least 30 minutes before we were helped. We had a delicious meal, but after arriving at 1:00 PM, we didn't get our lunch until around 3:00 PM and barely saw anything of Heidelberg.

It's incredibly nice here. The service is fantastic. I was brought the wrong burger, but it was corrected without hesitation. And considering it was already packed, we (two people) got our food really quickly. And it's simply delicious.

Very tasty, reasonably priced burgers that aren't too heavy either. One very friendly waitress has to keep everything going outside because another would rather chat with her friends than serve them.

Below Average food with rude staff

We had been to this chain before. This time it was less. We made a mistake with the menu and would have preferred the same burger on its own. Unfortunately, the menu could no longer be changed after a few seconds. So too bad. We didn't get our same burgers right away. There was almost 10 minutes in between? The burgers were fried too long, so hard and dry. I finished it, but my wife couldn't finish it. The waitress asked point blank how the burgers were. She said she would pass it on, but that was it. The staff wasn't very friendly either. So, no more for us here for a while.

Really bad experience with the staff. Waited at least 15 minutes for just getting menus and cleaning of table, in middle of the week and not even a crowded weekend. Then when we asked for menu the waiter shouted at us!! We just left after this unacceptable behavior. Even when we talked to the chief of salon he didn’t care at all, not even a small apology!!!

The service is too poor. We waited 20 minutes and when we asked for the menu she responded, "You must know we are busy!!" I don't get it. Is it hard to only give us a menu ?? Does it take 20 minutes to just give us a menu?? The behavior was disrespectful so we left. But the quality of the food of the restaurant is good.

Worst customer service ever. We waited 20 minutes just to get the menu! When we finally asked, the staff yelled at us that they were "busy" – on a Tuesday night, even though the place was half empty. Absolutely disrespectful and unprofessional. A waste of time!

Very delicious food. There are lemonades, iced teas, and much more.

We wanted to sit down in peace and quiet and politely asked if that was possible. Instead of a normal answer, we were immediately rudely told that it would take a while because they were busy. No problem, we thought, and looked at the menu in the meantime. Shortly afterward, a second employee came over and yelled at us even more harshly, telling us to leave, as the other colleague had already said so. That's simply not how you treat your guests. Even when things are more stressful, you can be friendly and respectful. We managed to do that, even though we were treated that way.

The food used to be much better, but the quality is now comparable to McDonald's. The tables were very sticky. We had to wait over 45 minutes for our food. There was no excuse or justification. I was sitting at the bar and saw the bartender simply sniff a returned drink, then refill it and give it to another customer. The restrooms are unfortunately very dirty and look like they haven't been cleaned in a while. I used to really enjoy going there, but after the downgrade, I won't be going anymore.

So many delicious vegetarian and vegan options! My favourites being the walnussbratling and the spinat-käse patties. The drinks were delicious and the loaded avocado fries were amazing! Totally recommend for vegetarians and vegans :)

Dishonest place. Before we entered the restaurant we specifically asked if the fries were included with the burger and was told "absolutely yes", so we ordered 2 burgers. When our burgers arrived there were no fries, so we asked about it and the staff said "its my mistake then, let me bring you some fries" so we assumed it was a nice gesture from the place due to a misunderstanding. However, when we asked for the bill we were charged for the fries. We assumed it would be on the house, but we were unfortunately misleaded twice. Dont recommend this misleading place at all. A rip off.

absolutely dishonest place. The waiter told us that fries are included in the burger menu even though it wasn’t. When we told him that situation he said that he will solve this problem and miscommunication occurred because of him. That is why we assumed that, it will be on the house and a nice gesture because of misleading. Honestly, we chose this place because of its burger- fries combo. However, they included fries in the bill and we were surprised. They literally misled us and took more than 25 euro just for burger menu ???
