The food was actually tasty, but there was way too much sauce on the burger for my personal taste, which made it soggy by the time it was served. Otherwise, the price-performance ratio was pretty good, and it was just a bit of a shame that songs were skipped so often on the playlist.

Not a lot of frills, but really good burgers. The portion of fries is easily enough for two. Friendly staff – definitely recommended! 😊

The burgers, however, are debatable—they're simply top-notch and certainly among the best in all of Germany, and certainly in Heidelberg and the surrounding area. The fact that the service was both friendly and professional despite the packed place is also no longer a given these days. Keep it up 👍👍👍

Really bad: we ordered through Uber Eats, and after an eternity of waiting, the cheesy food arrived. The icing on the cake, however, was that they added a beetle to the fries as an extra protein. Very disgusting!

If you’re looking for a very rich hamburger, this is the spot! One of those places where you wish you had more room in your stomach. The onion rings are a must if you like them. We tried the Truff Truff burger absolutely delicious! If you’re into truffle, you’ll love it. We sat outside and definitely recommend it. the restaurant is right on a main street, so you get a nice view and a great atmosphere. We also ordered beer and enjoyed it a lot. And if you’re a LAMY fan like me, don’t miss the chance to visit their store, just a 3-minute walk from the restaurant. I sadly discovered it too late and couldn’t check it out the way I wanted to.

Joe Molese is a burger joint like no other in Heidelberg. Located in the most beautiful alleyway in the heart of Heidelberg's old town, you can sit outside in good weather. When the weather is bad, the stylish shop invites you to linger inside. The burgers are incredibly delicious, and they serve great drinks. My tip: a 99er! It's the shit!

The owner is rude; he started yelling at tourists because they were standing in the middle of the street. No wonder it was the only empty bar. I won't be back.

You can sit comfortably outside. Friendly, fast service. The burgers taste good, but there's still room for improvement.

The burger is delicious and a good size. 😋 The large fries are plenty; there were three of us and there were almost no leftovers. The place is very well located and the staff is very friendly. I love that the spreads (ketchup, mayonnaise, etc.) are on the table; you can help yourself to whatever you want whenever you want.

The burgers were very good, with a wide variety. The small fries we ordered were large enough to feed three people. Prices ranged from 11 to 15 euros, with a small fries costing around 5 euros (2025).

Back when I was here for work, I'd give it 5/5, but the young woman with the cap ruined everything. She was unfriendly, arrogant, and refused to admit that she'd forgotten a burger (of course, only one person eats in a group of two...). Otherwise, the place was pretty much the same as usual, except that it was almost empty, which must have its reasons.

My boyfriend and I highly recommend this place! The food, which we had veggie burgers, was incredibly delicious. We both agree that they were some of the best veggie burgers we've ever eaten. (We've been vegetarians for several years.) Unfortunately, we can't comment on the fries and other items, as the fryer was on strike during our visit. The staff, however, informed us of this in advance. Another thing to say about the staff: they were super friendly, accommodating to any extra requests, and generally had a cool vibe. The same goes for the location: retro diner style with graffiti. A 10/10 from us.

The waffle peanut butter burger was the best burger I’ve ever had which is not what I was expecting to say in Europe as an American. I want to try and make them at home now because they were just that good!!!

It’s definitely a cool spot. the onion rings? Easily some of the best we’ve ever had. Super crispy, flavorful, and just the right amount of seasoning. Honestly, we’ve gone there just for those onion rings more than once. They’re that good. The kitchen really knows what they’re doing. The food is tasty, the portions are generous, and the prices are super fair. So in terms of what you get on your plate, it’s pretty much perfect. Now… the service? Not so much. The servers aren’t very attentive, and getting their attention can be frustrating. Whether it’s ordering, getting your drinks, or asking for the check, you kind of have to wave them down or wait way too long. And it’s not just a one-time thing, we’ve been there a few times now, and the experience has been the same with different staff. It’s such a shame because the location is great and the food is top-notch. If the service matched the quality of the kitchen, this place would be unbeatable. Fingers crossed they improve on that someday :)

L’ambiance était chaleureuse ; il y avait les enfants du propriétaire qui aidait, de la bonne musique et un excellent service. J’ai beaucoup apprécié les papiers alimentaires dans lequel étaient emballés nos burgers. Ils étaient personnalisé par l’entreprise! Il reprenait des emblèmes de pays et y rajoutait une petite twist pour . Par exemple : Make Food Geil Again.

The food was really amazing, but since last night I've been farting nonstop, even waking me up from sleep. I woke up this morning because I was farting so obnoxiously loudly—half asleep, I seriously thought I'd shit my pants. I tried to take a nap, but no luck: My stomach is constantly churning, I'm constantly gassy, ​​and as if that wasn't enough, my fan is blowing the smell right in my face. Still: 10/10 Baba's. The only downside is that my ass won't shut up.

We ate lunch with family. The service was great, fast, accurate and the waiter was very kind. The price was a bit steep but if you can afford it the price/quality is one of the best I've ever had. The food was delicious. They work with great flavors. We ate hamburgers with fries and it was enough for all of us. The place has such a good vibe. Great music, and very good aestetics. Overall a great place to eat if you have the budget to eat quality food.

We've been waiting for our food for three hours and it hasn't been delivered. We're disappointed. There isn't even a number listed to call. Worst service ever!

The prices are high for what you get. The waiter explained to us that the "housemade lemo" was handmade with Lemons and Mint. The taste was actually pretty bad, nothing like lemons or mint. We saw the other waiter filling a tank with syrup 5 mins. later and the Coke glasses where filled with 1,5L bottles. Very unprofessional. Furthermore the music was uncomfortably loud. We asked, if they could turn it lower, he said "of course". Never did it though. The portions are pretty big.

We saw that they had homemade lemonade as we were passing by and spontaneously sat down. The waitress was very rude and said drinks were only available if you also had something to eat. But we didn't want that. Of the four tables outside, one was occupied, and everything inside was empty. I would have understood if people had been queuing for food, but that wasn't the case. Germany is a service desert 😬

Truly the best burger. We try a burger in every city, but Joe Molese has been our favorite so far. The meat is always cooked through, the ingredients are fresh, and the sides are amazing. A cool selection of drinks, great prices. The staff is great and very accommodating. For us, the best place so far!!!

Der Service war schnell und freundlich. Die Burger, 99er und Wochen Burger mit Spargel, waren sehr lecker. Die Pommes grundsätzlich auch, es hätte ein bisschen weniger Salz sein dürfen. Schade, dass die Burger auf kleinen Tabletts mit Papierunterlage serviert werden, das Papier ist gerissen und man musste drauf achten, es nicht mit zu essen. Zudem ein negativer Umweltfaktor. Ansonsten aber sehr lecker und zu empfehlen!

We tried different burgers at this place. The burgers taste really good an are massive. They have a good variety of them including a burger with waffles and peanut butter instead of the bun and Ketchup.

We had a chicken burger and a cheese burger with fries, everything was great, super tasty! Fresh, juicy and beautifully seasoned. The shop is located in the beautiful old town of Heidelberg, in a really charming alley. The atmosphere there was really cozy and we really enjoyed sitting outside. Clear recommendation, we would love to come back!

The food was really good and well-portioned. The taste was great—definitely more on the comfort food side, perfect for a cheat day. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was nice for the most part, though it felt a little too quiet.

Absolutely mid-range burgers. I can't understand the good reviews. Here you get a standard burger ala Hans im Gluck, the patty is frozen and is only warmed up. We had the regular cheeseburger and one with pesto. Ambiance in the restaurant is nice. There was a single French fry sitting on the chair next to us the whole time. As a waitress, you could have gotten rid of them. At least the fries were very large and there were free sauces, such as ketchup, mayo, BBC etc. at the table.

The Cheesy Cheese Steak was really bad. Onion rings were over fried Generally price performance is not really good! You could find a great one in Heidelburger and the brewery opposite serves wonderful food that isn't necessarily more expensive.

We sat outside across the street at another restaurant as a family and had something to eat. When I heard a conversation about the two conditions. One of you said loudly that she found families with children the worst. The worst thing would be to clean up the dirt from the families. Pathetic behavior from the employees. Apparently families are not welcome or wanted in this restaurant.

Really enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich and the pomegranate ice tea. The server was really helpful and spoke English too.

Food is okay, burgers need more salt. Relatively fast service. Bathroom was clean. Wifi is needed though, if you’re running a business in a touristic area you should also offer guest wifi in my opinion.

My burger was OK, but my colleague's burger was completely greasy, and the fries looked like the frying oil hadn't been changed in a long time. The food is good. But if you are sitting inside and planning to talk to your friends, you will have to shout across the table because of how loud the music is. Hello! Pronunciation of this restaurant is probably similar to "Oil Estonia" (?). It tends to be a good store, but there is something to complain about almost everywhere. The food tasted better than it looks in the pictures. The burger was a bit too small and the taste wasn't a miracle, but it was a good Tottier substitute product. Iced tea a little bitter, but at least not too sweet. Everything is 1€ too expensive.

Some of the best burgers I know. Fantastic onion rings (the only thing missing is the tzaziki dip) and great fries. The cheese fries are particularly recommended. Extremely good vegetarian patties and very nice service.
