It's hard to just walk past the red tram. The Halloween decorations, with skeletons, cobwebs, a psycho clown, and other things, are so well done that you're drawn in. The entire 50s interior, with its bright plush sofas, picture frames, jukebox, and signs, feels like stepping back in time or into a Wim Wenders film. Everything is absolutely gorgeous and very cozy. I loved it. The sandwich was good, and the menu is extensive. The cool, blonde waitress was incredibly busy, and it was extremely busy with lots of people running around, but she was still very nice and friendly despite the stress. I highly recommend it.

Attention! Cash only! A beautifully decorated American diner in a 1950s-1970s style. It's amazing that an old railway carriage can provide such a wonderful atmosphere. The staff are always very friendly, and the music is great if you like classics like Elvis, Madonna, etc., but it can be a bit loud. Seating is limited due to the small size of the carriage, but you can usually find a seat. The food is really good, but typically American—very greasy—and unfortunately, a bit pricey. Nevertheless, it's always worth a visit.

It was my first time here, and I have to say the atmosphere was amazing, the food was great, and the atmosphere was very friendly. What more could you want? The only downside was that there were five of us, so the space was a bit cramped. Update: five of us again, and it was very cramped. But the food was good. The smashburger wasn't. A shame. But we'll be back.

We came in for a spontaneous lunch. There was only one server hence we were seated at the bar to wait for a table to free up. We ended up waiting for fifteen minutes. The server was quite friendly though! I had a vegan burger, which was ok. I might just personally not be a big fan of the „pulled meat-substitute“. The fries were very bland. After adding salt they were fine though. On the bright side: all day breakfast! Lots of vegetarian/vegan options. My American boyfriend thought his breakfast was authentic!

For an authentic burger and fries, I took my wife there to get a taste of the nostalgic America. Just like the yesteryears of days gone by, Mandy’s has the wall hangin’s that would make any truck stop look like an imitation! Go and enjoy!

Friendly owner, great service, good coffee! If you are looking for an authentic American diner experience—this is it. Buttermilk pancakes, bagels, the whole 9 yards. This kind of gem is rare in America so I was thrilled to find one in German. After eating here it looks under-rated on Google Reviews. I had a great time so my guess is not everyone is a fan of traditional diner food and vibes. I will absolutely be back.

The restaurant is an institution. The ambiance and decor are fantastic. You feel like you've been transported to a vision of the American past. The food is good, but the burgers in particular are too greasy for me, a bit soggy, and the food overall is very rich. But that's a matter of taste and doesn't deduct a star. I'm annoyed that I couldn't pay my bill of almost €100 with a card. That's not contemporary and, in my opinion, poor service.

At Mandy's – a good place for anyone looking for an afternoon breakfast for decades – it's Spooktober right now: In front of the train carriage, there's a richly decorated "graveyard" with all sorts of skeletons, inside there are cobwebs, Halloween decorations, and even more skeletons. Even in the restrooms. The service, as always, was attentive and friendly, the food was solid, and the coffee was practically bottomless. I am and will always be a Mandy's fan!

I was here for breakfast. It was really delicious and the ambiance is something special.

I went to Mandy's Burger today and had the veggie burger menu. For nine euros, I got a large Coke, a burger, and fries. It was tasty and I was full. The service was friendly, and the wait wasn't too long. Overall, I'm satisfied.

Well, it's not the tastiest, cleanest or cheapest fast food you can find in Heidelberg so... Pity that people feel its ok to smoke cigarettes where they're not allowed to, while no one of the employees is doing anything about it.

This was my first time here, and I was in a burger joint, not in the wagon. The Big Heidelberger on the menu was good and good value for money. The lady who took my order was friendly and nice, but the lady serving was a bit distracted and spent a while searching for my sauce. It's unfortunate that you have to wait for something like that.

A great reminder of my youth, and it still tastes as good as it did back then! Highly recommended, especially since the fries still taste like potatoes.

We picked up something at the drive-thru counter, but unfortunately the speaker was broken, making communication quite difficult. The burgers themselves were tasty and fresh. From the outside, however, the building/grounds look a bit run-down, which is a shame.

The burger meat is undercooked, mushy, and underseasoned. The ambiance doesn't live up to its name. The service is disinterested. In short, I can't see any reason why I shouldn't prefer the nearby McDonald's or Burger King.

I can recommend it - I was there regularly about 15 years ago and the place is still good... Unlike another place around the corner, it survived the coronavirus very well... The Heidelberger (special burgers) are really delicious.

The taste was good, but they messed up my order.

My last and first visit here was over 20 years ago. So it was finally time for some good old, authentic American diner food again. And what can I say... you won't be disappointed. Even after so long, you feel like time has stood still in this cool diner. The food is as excellent as ever, and the service (all new, of course) is as friendly and prompt as ever. I highly recommend it. Go for it!🤩

It's a shame what Mandy's has become. The best burger and pinball snack bar from my teenage years. A chill zone after the swimming pool club hasn't changed much, but the prices aren't justified for the quality of the burgers. I had a Heidelberger, which was okay, but felt too expensive. We got pickup slips, went to the pinball machine, and waited until the pickup number appeared on the TV. No number; the burgers were sitting on the counter and were only lukewarm.

A top-notch veggie burger. You do have to wait about 10-15 minutes for it, though, and unfortunately, it's almost twice as expensive as a meat burger. The taste, though, is top-notch.

This fast food restaurant is right next to the diner, but these are actually two separate locations. Here you can get really affordable fast food. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. Our food always came out quick and tasted good. Definite recommendation!

The taste was also great. I needed to add salt and I prefer a little bit hotter. But maybe salt is just right for you. The atmosphere, the posters was amazing. I have a new place where I could bring my guests and clients confidently. I ate a mega burger, 339 gram meat which is 18.50 Euro. The portion and the price is a match in my opinion. I was hungry and it was big enough to fulfill me. I want to come back to taste the other options and the rib eye steak🥩 P.S. I am a very well eater

We are regular guests again and are very happy about the now reliable opening times and the delicious burgers! The Heidelburger is our absolute favorite hamburger and the price is totally okay for the quality. Everything is freshly prepared, so it sometimes takes longer. However, the opening times were adjusted due to Corona (well, that makes sense), but continuing to close at 8 p.m. post-coronavirus is overkill. Also, and now comes my real zero star, they manage to barricade the place at 7:45 p.m. and stop taking orders. That's just not possible at all, stick to your opening hours! Then you save yourself a hangry review!

I ordered a strawberry shake. “2 euros 60” was the cashier’s brief request after she made the shake and placed it on the counter. I held up my card, the credit card machine was on the counter. “Card only works for 5 euros or more,” the cashier reprimanded me. “Unfortunately, I don’t have any cash with me,” I replied, and the cashier let out a somewhat empathetic “I’m sorry.” I said goodbye and left. My goodbye was not returned. Now I ask myself the question: which is better? Sending the guest (who is willing to pay) away and throwing away the fresh strawberry shake? Or would it have been (a) more sustainable (b) more customer-friendly (c) more economical to point out the general rule to the guest and make a one-off exception? Everyone can give themselves the answer, my verdict is: 1 star! Very unfortunate!

The meat was clearly frozen... the fries weren't good either. Actually prefer Burger King or McDonalds.

I think it is a cool concept when you miss home or American food. However the quality of burgers were quite sub-par and they were so badly organised that it took us 45 minutes to get our drinks let alone the food.

Food was ok, what's really strange is that the family menu only included ONE portion of fries and two drinks. This should be clearly mentioned in the offer ☝️. The information including fries and drink is rather misleading!!!

I have to admit, I enjoyed being here for a while. In any case, I would absolutely advise against coming here on a holiday - it wasn't a smart idea, I know. But apart from the fact that we had to wait almost 25 minutes, our 5 burgers were neither fresh nor warm. My cheeseburger was even soggy at the bottom, which is why I wanted to complain on site. But then I thought to myself that one way or another I would only get one of the 20 finished burgers that were vegetating there. Despite the fact that there were 20 burgers ready to eat, they weren't able to get the burgers to the customers quickly. The fries were exactly the same - no longer fresh and cold. Then there's the tiny location and the virtually non-existent waiting area, because if it's too crowded you have to stand in the cold - not even the small "passage" is heated. The dining area can accommodate just under 20 people, which is already small. As are the toilets with a sink that are too narrow. I thought that Mandy's Burger would stand out from many others in terms of quality - but it doesn't. This is now the second time in a row that I had to go to the bathroom immediately after eating it.

Disgusting and overpriced!!! The food was extremely poor quality to disgusting: we ordered 3 burgers. In one burger the finished pellet was black/charred. In the case of a burger, the pellet was cold because ice cold sauce was not brought to room temperature first or the pellet was not heated properly. The last burger (Naked) was a carelessly slapped meatball with a leaf of iceberg lettuce. The fries with cheese sauce got a bit disgusting. This didn't taste like cheese and was clearly a powdery ready-made sauce... The fries were of lower quality. For the very expensive price (almost 10 euros for a fries with sauce, soft drinks from around 5 euros, burgers (side dishes including salad always cost extra) almost 20 euros) you expect a different quality!!! That's just overpriced. We do not recommend the restaurant and are very disappointed. The idea with the wagon is nice, but some of the furniture is damaged. The flush didn't work in the women's toilet and everything was full of dirt and smelled miserable. What is out of date is that card payment is not possible. The only positive thing was the friendly service.

Not to be confused with Mandy's diner in the red car... you can pay with a card at Mangy's Burger, but you can't at the other one. There is a delicious burger or nuggets for a good price, it's not a 5 star but it tastes good, it's clean and the people are nice, what more could you want.

Went to Mandy's Burger (not in the train car), they are delicious fast food burgers similar to those from the Big M, but in my opinion much tastier.

Catastrophic snake bite, operation without foresight! I have known the shop for over 30 years. What has become of it over the years can no longer be justified. It's a shame... but I won't set foot in it anymore!

I liked the food here, the staff were nice. It was clean but quite busy. The food came quickly and was tasty, there are video games for children in a separate area, which are unfortunately very loud.

I only come here because of the Heiderburgers with bacon. Prices are relatively high, but it's worth it. An Indian lady is very inflexible and prefers to go to someone else. If children have a special request, the lady won't do anything. Children don't eat everything. I think it's a shame that no consideration is given to the little ones here. We live near Karlsruhe and when we are nearby we always go there. Best burger shop ever, but only because of the burgers not because of the service...it's a shame it barely missed 5 stars.

Fan for decades. Getting worse after the last few years! Paddy what an imposition! It's a shame I often drove off the highway just because of Mandy. Now I'd rather buy a paddy and unfortunately do better. Saving money like this is the worst way for your reputation. Hope they wake up again. It can't be that there are better burgers in the disgusting restaurant across the street 🙈 Unfortunately, the sanitary rooms say too much about the quality. (Cleanliness is not a crime) Please find your old strength again!

Mandy's burger is okay. Unfortunately, the burgers are not recommended. We got a totally watery burger with extremely poor quality and a bland taste. My buddy tried a bite and immediately felt sick. He threw it away straight away. The chicken nuggets, on the other hand, were really great👍🏼Very tasty and crispy 😋 Fries were average good. But not a blast either. Staff okay too. A little too slimy. Price wise: Good. But I think it's cheeky to charge €4.90 for such a bad burger. Otherwise, the ambience was very clean 🧼👍🏼

Mandy's fast food is relatively expensive compared to McDonald's, but also super tasty! The burgers are freshly made and the variations of the burgers are also very diverse. The selection of American soft drinks is also great. Perfect for a cheat day! In my opinion, the Railway (which is why one star is deducted) is not that tasty in direct comparison. But a must for an American atmosphere and breakfast.

My personal favorite is the Texburger with cheese and bacon as well as the Tropiburger. Always a must when I'm in Heidelberg.

You are definitely in the right place for a quick, affordable snack. I would recommend the grilled chicken sandwich.

The place has a nice atmosphere, and the waitress was friendly. However, we were extremely disappointed with the XXL burger. After a long wait, the burger arrived lukewarm, and the patty seemed to be from a frozen batch. To make matters worse, I found a hair in it. The sauce was too much and didn’t blend well, making the bun soggy very quickly. The sweet potato fries were nice, but I wouldn't recommend the coleslaw. It tasted okay but was too small for the €3 price. In the end, we couldn’t finish the XXL burger and decided to take it home, but the waitress charged €1 for the box, which was very petty and strange considering the burger itself is already overpriced for the quality. Overall, it was a disappointing experience with overpriced and below-average food.
