Halifax Diner in Sankt Englmar

Am Eingang stand ein Schild mit "Küche bis 20:00 Uhr", um 19:10 Uhr konnten wir kein Essen mehr bestellen, da die Bedienung noch Zeit zum Sauber machen braucht. Dieser Hinweis kam auch erst nach dem wir die Getränke bekommen hatten. Ansonsten wären wir gleich wieder gegangen. Das Ambiente wäre sehr schön, aber mich wundert jetzt auch nicht mehr, warum da nie Gäste zu sehen waren, obwohl das Resort aufgrund von Ferien ziemlich ausgebucht war.

Das Essen war ganz passabel. Nichts besonderes aber gut. Schneller und freundlicher Service. Leider war es etwas frisch und man könnte Mal wieder in die Struktur investieren als Betreiber.

Super netter kinderfreundlicher Service, gutes Preisleistungsverhältnis, leckerer Burger. Gerne wieder.

Also wir waren einen Cocktail trinken der war sehr lecker, am nächsten Tag essen das war leider ein Reinfall Burger sehr hart ,Pommes beißt man sich die Zähne dran aus. Da das Personal mehr isst wie die Gäste dachten wir muss ja schmecken. Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Zum cocktails trinken jaaaa,essen besser nö.

Die leckeren Drinks und der zuvorkommende Service haben 5 Sterne verdient - das Essen war aber mega enttäuschend. Burger und Pommes hatten so gar nichts besonderes. Kann man sich geschmacklich in etwa so vorstellen, wie wenn eine Studenten-WG Ende des Monats mit dem letzten Flaschenpfand die günstigsten Zutaten beim Discounter kauft, um ein paar Burger zu braten. Das ist schon okay, aber wenn ich in einem Bistro etwas bestelle, sollte das schon bisschen leckerer sein. Würde hier nochmal trinken, aber nicht mehr essen.

Waren heute zu viert hier und für uns hat alles gepasst. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und zuvorkommend, der Preis für die Mahlzeiten absolut in Ordnung! Kommen gerne wieder wenn wir in der Gegend sind

Eine reine Katastrophe. Schon die Getränkebestellung hat eine halbe Stunde gedauert. Deswegen haben wir erst gar kein Essen bestellt. Bedingung konnte sich nicht verständigen, kein Wechselgeld. Nie mehr...

Leider erfüllte der Besuch nicht unsere Erwartungen. Nettes Konzept aber nicht gut umgesetzt. Wir hatten uns auf einen leckeren Burger gefreut und einen Standard Burger bekommen. Von 2 Burgern, die auf der Karte standen, war nur einer zu haben, weil beim anderen Zutaten fehlten. Leider nur 0815 keine besondere Soße oder dergleichen. Das Personal war super freundlich und schnell. Das Ambiente war etwas kalt. Spanische Klänge statt American Diner Musik. Würde vielleicht besser passen. dDie Idee ist super, aber an der Umsetzung hapert es.

Erlebnisgastronomie🥴🫣🥴, nach unserer Bestellung haben wir ca. 20 min gewartet um dann festzustellen dass sie vergessen wurde, obwohl sie bereits bezahlt war... Nach kurzer Diskussion bekamen wir unsere Getränke dann doch juhu 😂🥳. Uns wurde ein Tisch zugewiesen der uns dann aber von einer anderen Servicekraft wieder abgenommen wurde. Wir sind uns nicht ganz sicher ob mehr Personen vor oder hinter der Theke waren 😂, wie gesagt es war ein Erlebnis. 3 Sterne weil sehr viel Potential vorhanden, wir werden nächstes Jahr gerne nochmal unsere Rezession überarbeiten ❤️.

We were there yesterday, and what can I say? We were seated at a table that hadn't been cleared yet. That's not a big deal, but after about ten minutes, it still hadn't been cleared. So we decided to order takeout. There was no server, and the young man who took our order seemed completely overwhelmed. The food wasn't great. We had burgers and fries. It's a shame, really, because the diner has potential. It's the holiday season, and they're closed today, Monday. It's not going to be any good.

Delicious food, great value for money, and very friendly service! We'll be back!

We had the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal today at very short notice. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our three children and we adults are absolutely thrilled. If you like American fast food, this is the place for you. Many thanks to the team at the Halifax Diner.

When we ordered, we didn't specify that we wanted the savings menu, so the drink was charged extra. That annoyed us. After our complaint, the money for the drinks we charged was kindly refunded, which we thought was great. There was only one woman there at lunchtime Had to take care of all the guests, including making and serving food... We couldn't complain about the portion size. Everyone was full. Later we got an ice cream sundae just before closing, that was super nice...We would eat there again.

The portions are good and filling. Unfortunately the service left something to be desired, they only came to eat and take drinks and to clear away. Unfortunately there was no request for a drink in between 😞

I think the restaurant is great, I don't understand all the bad reviews, the service was good, the burgers were just perfect to fill you up and the chicken nuggets were also good. From the ice cream menu, what I ate was also good (the colorful surprise and normal balls) could have even been home-made because the strawberry balls were a different color, but were still delicious. There's nothing more to say, the food is delicious, don't forget to drink and the service is great too

It was supposed to be open until 9 p.m. but the door was closed at 8:30 p.m. so I didn't get anything anymore. Can give one star for ambience, food, drink and service, I can't say anything because I didn't get anything else 🤷 sorry. I actually think it's a shame because it looks really nice from the outside.

Food good, offering sufficient, prices low, service friendly, clean. But... the burger is no bigger than a small chicken burger from Mägges. You need at least two of these to fill you up.

We went to the diner today. What can I say, we have never been as angry as we were after this visit. It is precisely for these reasons that the catering industry, among other things, is slowly going under. The food selection is extremely limited but everything is good if it tastes good. We had the new currywurst, a burger and a "tomato mozzarella salad". The currywurst was inedible and the two portions of fries were raw. The salad was also sublime. When we asked the waitress about the raw dishes, she just said yes, she knows it's been like this for a long time, only the boss doesn't do anything, and she put a stop to everything. Not only were the tables dirty, the menus filthy, but there was also dirt stuck to all the cutlery. The drinks were all warm too. The price for such portions is also way too high. A proper apology and a discount would really have been appropriate but nothing like that. After this visit we decided to only go to a new restaurant with a star rating or wherever we are. Oh yes, and we called the associated resort several times and a receptionist didn't even find it necessary to answer the phone. So all in all, never, ever again. We all felt sick and now some family members are stuck in the toilet. Thanks for nothing. Lg

So, we wanted to eat there as private guests of the Predigstuhl and wanted to make sure by phone that it was open. After an unfriendly phone call and the statement that only those who booked through the hotel were allowed to eat there, we decided against it. The reviews aren't exactly great either. If it's not a public restaurant, why isn't it publicized? All in all, I would happily avoid eating there.

When we came in, we were the only two guests, the waitress was typing on the smartphone. The table was not wiped or was only wiped insufficiently (sticky). Drinks and food came quickly. A frozen pattie on a standard supermarket burger bun with limply fried frozen fries, with a cheeseburger a slice of cheese on top. 8€ is definitely too expensive for that. On the bill the drinks were charged 50ct more than stated on the menu. This was changed handwritten on the receipt after a note from me (with a not too friendly expression on my face). It's a shame about the location, you could do a lot more with it with little effort and a little love.

I can't understand the bad reviews. I had the Halifax burger with salad. I found everything delicious. Yes, the burger and fries weren't hot, they were lukewarm, but I don't think it always has to be hot to burn your face. The temperature was just right for finger food. The kids also had the burger with just fries and just meat on the bun and they both thought it was delicious. The service was very friendly.

Leider können nicht viel positives berichten, die Bedienung ist nett und freundlich aber das Essen ist dann doch eher ernüchternd. Alles convienience und dann ist nicht mal alles von der Karte, die sehr übersichtlich ist, bestellbar. Sehr schade

Sehr hübsche Lokation zum Sitzen. Die Bewirtung lässt aber zu wünschen übrig. Die Bedienung musste in unserem Fall auch die Speisen und Cocktails zubereiten. Unser Halifax-Burger war einfach winzig, also die Größe von einem kleinen Hamburger von den allseits bekannten Konkurrenten. Unsere Nachos sollten mit Dip serviert werden. Wir erhielten jedoch einfach Nachos mit Scheibletten-Käse überbacken. 👎 Unser "Longdrink" Bacardi Orange wurde in einem nicht ganz gefüllten winzigen Whisky-Becher serviert. Ob sich überhaupt Barcadi im Gemisch befand, war nicht heraus zu schmecken. ☹️

Ich finde dieses Essen dort Klasse.

Bin schon öfters Gast im Diner gewesen, letztes Jahr wahr Personal besser die Karte und die Gerichte waren reichhaltiger. Cocktails sind gut. Schade, aber aus der location könnte man mehr machen. Super eingerichtet.
