Super delicious food and there was something for everyone from children's meals, vegetarian or meat. The service was very nice and the food came quickly. The great playground next door was a hit with the kids, as were the goats.

Wonderful excursion restaurant that we happened to visit during our short vacation in the Bavarian Forest. The food was very lovingly prepared and tasted wonderful with a very friendly and competent team. An absolute must visit if you are in the area. We'd love to come back.

We visited the beer garden with several people in the old mill, the food was absolutely very good, the service was the same and the ambience can't be beaten, you have a view of several kilometers over meadows and forests, no car traffic, when can you really hear a car It was fantastic, we'll definitely be back, thanks, but you should find out about the opening times in advance. Unfortunately, it's not open until 8 or 9 p.m. in the evening

Nice excursion restaurant on the edge of the spa park, which means the playground is also within walking distance. When we visited in July, the coffee and cake offer only consisted of a cake offer during the week. Overall, the price is also on the higher side.

This was our second time eating there and it was again delicious.

I was a bit biased because of the selection, but I didn't expect that every meal (3 people - 3 different meals) would be a poem. Absolute recommendation!

After visiting the Baumwipfelweg, we became aware of the inn by chance via the Internet and were not disappointed. It is idyllically located in the spa park zone and you have a good view of the surrounding area. There are no parking spaces close to the house. So good air. One can say about the house: small but nice. The dining room is not too big, but clean and nicely furnished. There is a kind of beer garden in front of the house. You can purchase exquisite things in an adjoining room. The menu is manageable, but well sorted. I find the prices to be moderate. The food is served attractively and we enjoyed it excellently. The service is friendly, making it a pleasant stay. We can only recommend the Alte Mühle in St. Englmar.

We became aware of the Alte Mühle via the signs on the Waldwipfelweg. It takes about 5 minutes to get to the Kurpark Sankt Englmar car park. From here it is about 200m on foot. The Old Mill is beautifully located in the park. We had a table directly at the mill wheel with a view of the valley. Staff: The staff was super friendly and definitely deserves 5 stars. Special requests for our children were also addressed. The employees were also very attentive and repeatedly asked about your well-being. Food: For lunch we chose the Caesar salad and the smörrebröd with couscous and avocado. Our request for pasta with butter (not on the menu) was prepared for the children. For dessert there was a plain waffle, the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and a strawberry cake. Both the main course and the dessert were freshly prepared and incredibly delicious. The salad and the smörrebröd (another version with smoked salmon) were incredibly fresh and aromatic and very nicely presented. Ambience It's great for the children, as the playground from the spa park is right next to the old mill. This means you can get through waiting times in a relaxed manner. There is also a natural pond in the corner and offers a place to cool off your feet. All in all, we can highly recommend the Alte Mühle with the small farm shop. We would be happy to come back and recommend this beautiful piece of earth. Keep it up! 👍

We were there last week after a walk in the spa park. We liked it there before and we were very satisfied now too. Only the lady who welcomed us was a bit tomboyish, but not unfriendly. The young man who served the table was very friendly, funny and attentive. The hot dog was great both visually and in taste, as was the wheat beer. I wish the new operators all the best and we will definitely see each other again

Magnificent view. There could be a little more cake selection. Otherwise everything was great.

Eat good. When I point out on April 7th that the prices on the menu are out of date and they still haven't been updated on April 16th, it's a little disturbing. Fish & chips should cost 16.90 and a wheat beer 4.20. It would also be easier if a guest received a receipt as normal and didn't just see their bill briefly on an iPad.

Ein toller Ort.mit leckerem besonderen Essen. Das Silvestermeldung war außergewöhnlich und hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen.

Unfreundliches Personal. Wenn es kein Platz gibt, dann sagt man es freundlich und informiert evtl wann es ein Tisch frei wird, nicht nur laut „Nein neeeein“. Niemand drängelt sich ja rein. Man kommt rein einfach zu fragen, ob es was zum Essen gibt. Evtl war ein rassistische Reaktion… wer weißt?!

Sehr leckeres Essen immer netter Service! Nach unserem Spaziergang durch den Kurpark sind wir hier eingekehrt, um zu essen. Das Essen kam sehr schnell und der Service war sehr nett. Der Ceasar Salad war sehr groß, mit reichlich Gemüse und Hähnchen. 🥑🥒🥦Auch das frische Brot dazu war sehr lecker. Der Pulled Pork Burger war ebenfalls extrem lecker und sehr zu empfehlen. Alles in allem 5/5 ⭐️😊 Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Leckeres Essen, schöne Aussicht und super Spielplatz

Bei schönem Wetter im Freien gutes Essen genießen und das mit einer Wahnsinnsaussicht. Das Gasthaus macht schon beim Ansehen Freude und die Speisekarte hat eine feine Auswahl. Wir mochten unsere Gerichte (herzhaft wie süß) und haben den Aufenthalt hier genossen. Sollten wir wieder in der Gegend sein, wird diese Restauration mit Sicherheit erneut besucht. Weiter so.

Heute mit der Familie hier gewesen und super lecker gegessen. Die Kinder bekamen ihre Gerichte zuerst (was leider nicht überall so ist) und waren sehr glücklich. Es gibt gar nichts zu meckern. Alle Daumen hoch!

Die Alte Mühle liegt mitten im schönen Kurpark St. Englmar. Wir waren mit unserem Kind dort und waren begeistert. Die Location ist toll und mit liebe eingerichtet, das Essen war absolut spitze und der Service wirklich toll. Es gibt zwar keine eigene Kinderkarte ( oder wir haben keine bekommen) aber sie haben selbstverständlich was für ihn gezaubert. Wir kommen beim nächsten Besuch wieder vorbei. Danke an das ganze Team.

Es ist ein schöner Aufenthalt gewesen , das essen schmeckte sehr gut , aber , für die Protion die hätte für das Preisleistungsverhälnis ein wenig mehr sein können aber ist jetzt nicht geschimpft , wie gesagt es hat super geschmeckt. ich komme aber sehr sehr gerne wieder .

Der Verfasser mitsamt Anhang kommt aus der Landeshauptstadt sehr, sehr gerne in diese Region. Die Menschen hier sind noch bodenständig und ehrlich zum Gast. In der Alten Mühle fühlt man sich sofort willkommen und aufgeräumt. Die Speisekarte ist klein und fein, alle Zutaten frisch und local. Alles was wir seit der Neueröffnung bei mehreren Besuchen verkosten konnten, war richtig super, und wäre der Wiener Backhendelsalat ein Auto, wäre er vermutlich ein V8 mit offener Schaltkulisse. Sehr, sehr zuvorkommend ist auch der Service. Da könnt ihr Euch mal ein Scheiberl abschneiden, ihr Münchner Supergastronomen! Ergänzt wird das ganze durch einen kleinen Hofladen, der in seiner Vielfalt seinesgleichen sucht. Und noch was: Die Preise sind familiengerecht und für die gebotene Qualität mehr als fair. Nicht zu vergessen das schöne Sitzen im geschützten Hof mit dem Streichelzoo für die Kids. Super! Weitermachen.....

Geregnet hat's wie aus Kübeln und die Tische in der Mühle waren voll. Dann hat die lösungsorientiere Bedienung einen warmen Katzentisch für uns gefunden die besten Gnocci zwischen Engelmar und Palermo serviert und getoppt mit einer Belgischen Beeren-Waffel, die ihresgleichen sucht. Eingekauft noch im Hofladen allerei kulinarischen Geheimnisse aus der Region und sind mit glücklichem Magen nach dem Regen von dannen gezogen. Ein Sonntagsmahl, über das wir lange reden werden! Danke dem jungen, phantasiereichen Team ... möge der Segen des Genuss-Universums über eurer Küche und euren Tischen bleiben :)
