We were here for the first time and very satisfied. We were welcomed by very nice staff and the food was really good. Ambience good given the circumstances. We say 👍

We were there on a busy day and still got our food quickly and warm. Some of the other customers were super rude and the response was still friendly! We'd love to come back

Unfriendly, the light food was delicious but that's not possible like the redhead and the one with the curls turned on me just because I asked if I could get more jalapenhos. Ciao really

Staff super unfriendly. You are not greeted, people give you looks because I didn't understand something, because it wasn't explained that contactless payment is currently not possible and that this is only possible at the self-service/self-ordering machines, but instead you just point your finger without saying a word at a piece of paper that says you can only pay contactless "on the display". The payment device also has a display so this was super misleading. Complete lack of interest from the employees. Food was okay, not much taste and really not recommended for the price. Conclusion: I don't recommend coming here because they don't treat customers nicely and you can save your money.

Nice chip shop with good fries. The tables are a bit crowded, sometimes it's very crowded and there's a bit of a drag.

Super crispy fries and a large selection of dishes

I've been coming to Frittenwerk for years. An absolute top service from Celine and Paulina. Both very nice. Unfortunately, it is currently very cold there due to the heating failure and the doors, which have unfortunately been broken for years. I find it a bit strange that the employees only get mini fan heaters from which hardly anything comes out and the employees are still cold.

I've been eating the chicken shawarma poutine here for a long time. So far I have always been very satisfied, even if the prices are quite high. Unfortunately, today I received a bowl of chicken shawarma that was significantly less full than usual for €9.50. I told the employee at the counter that too, but she just replied, “That’s a normal portion”. I then pointed out to her that I knew the previous quantities quite well - but she completely ignored that and didn't answer. Instead, she took care of a parallel larger order (“I need 9 portions very quickly”) for 2 Wolt drivers. Previously, the (only) two employees had talked about how one of them had been alone in the morning this week and that something had gone wrong when receiving and preparing the goods. Unfortunately, I'm ultimately left with the impression that they couldn't make do with the warm portions for the Wolt drivers and my order and therefore filled the dish for €9.50 less. For this price I think it's way too expensive. The employee's mushy answer or non-answer was cheeky.

I think the house is very invitingly decorated. The food there tastes very tasty and there is a large selection of dishes.

Better than average street food, good fries and curry, a bit overdone however. Modern corner pommes bude! Pop culture names on orders were cute.

The Frittenwerk Bilk is one of three Frittenwerk restaurants in Düsseldorf and for me by far the one with the most atmosphere. The prices are not cheap, but I think the quality, the fries and the products overall are very good. You will be greeted and treated in a friendly manner by the team. There are two self-service terminals that are very easy to understand and use. In summer you can also sit outside. It's usually a bit difficult to find a place inside if you don't mind sitting with others. Dogs are also allowed. As long as the quality is right, I will eat my fries there again and again.

I'll put it this way: the prices are definitely not cheap. But it tastes very tasty, the service is friendly and the place makes a cozy impression. You can definitely treat yourself to it every now and then.

Oh, wow, that was terrible. 😍 Thought Currywurst with fries couldn't be done wrong? Well, think again! Ordered through Uber eats, specifically asked for no parsley, but I guess that was too much to ask for (not mentioning the cutlery that wasn't delivered either). Hard, half-raw fries and a sauce with barely any taste and unseasoned sausage, a true delight. 😜 Over ten € for a box of garbage, do not order from here LMAO. The food was delivered late too.

It’s a cramped, but quite cozy place, and you almost don’t feel that it’s located under a train overpass.

I just wanted a quick currywurst. Worked😊 Sausage = TipTop / Fries = good, crunchy and fresh / Sauce 1A = medium hot, and plenty. Mayonnaise = vegan and delicious.

I have been a regular customer for years and every winter I have to witness how the employees have to work in the cold. It doesn't look particularly inviting when you see the employees working with thick jackets, scarves, etc. It is also very uncomfortable to eat in the cold.

We were here for lunch, but - to be honest - we didn't get enough. Had Tijuna Fries and a bowl once. The portions are really not big, it's more like a snack. Actually not appropriate for these prices. Of course you can eat better punch somewhere else and the fries were okay - nothing more. The service was quick, good and friendly. The ambience in the store was surprisingly pleasant and stylish, even though the store is located right next to the Bilker train station, which is overall not that inviting. Unfortunately, the food didn't really impress us. In our opinion, the price-performance ratio is not right.

Very quick feedback, I had the fries with currywurst. Ordered it electronically. The food came quickly, which suited me because I was A: hungry and B: hardly any time. Fries & sauce delicious. Unfortunately, the sausage was cold. Maybe you should reheat it on the grill after cutting it? Or I can just put it all back in the deep fryer. Of course, there are other problems, such as vegetarian or vegan. But there is more than just one deep fryer in the store. The shop is nicely decorated and the toilet is clean. I could have done worse... 😉

My first visit here, actually not a fan of fries at all...but here I become one. It was really 😋 delicious! Surroundings...well, what should you expect near the train station, loud and uninviting. The restaurant is really good for a lunchtime snack, the staff is very friendly and helped a "newbie" like me very well

Unfortunately disappointed. Ordered 2x fries special for €12.40 (!). I got 2 large bowls, both not even half full. Instead of fresh onions there were only dried ones from a can. Yes, everything has become more expensive but with a portion of fries for €6.20 (!) you can at least expect a full bowl and fresh onions. I thought the fries were ok, the ready-made onions and the quantity/price were not at all. Honestly, I thought the crowd was a joke. Too bad.

The employees are always very nice and the Classic Quebec Poutine is simply delicious! :)

Good fries in themselves, but the sauce is usually spread directly on the fries, which makes them limp and soft instead of crispy. But there is nothing wrong with the other dishes and the fries (without sauce).

The fries variations are very tasty. I've never been disappointed so far. If you are in the area I can only recommend this restaurant. The vegan options are constantly being expanded and supplemented by special offers.

The three girls at the chip counter were busy when we arrived. The shop and tables inside and outside were empty - at 4pm on a Thursday. Not a friendly one "Hello, there you will find our offer or similar." ... Order only via the "teleprompter" - everything looked very tasty, just like on the website. The offer and the composition are a bit confusing, "Build your Meal" would be the best term. The promotional item was sold out. Why I should order a dip to go with fries that are literally drowned in sauce (=poutine) is unclear. Why I should also order snacks (fries, falafel, curry wursts with fries, etc.) - i.e. fries with fries - is unclear. Regardless, we ordered at R2D2: Chilli Cheese Fries, Istanbul Street Fries, each with sweet potato fries) - Extras: fried onions, soda lime - everything to "eat here". The planned dessert We had forgotten “Churros” - it was probably a sign. We received our order in a bag - to go. After a brief note “eat here” everything was packed out of the bag onto a tray. Yes, the guest is amazed, everything remains on the disposable cardboard dishes with a wooden fork, and there was a paper cup with the drink. I expected it differently. In joyful - but somewhat subdued - anticipation, we sat down at one of the outdoor tables. Unpacked, the fries were truly completely submerged in the sauce combination (chilli cheese fries). Although the journey from the counter to the table took barely 2 minutes (including repackaging), the fries - every single one - were completely soggy and soft, somehow unclear. The jalapenos were watery and not spicy. The “cheesy sauce” had no cheese flavor. The fried onions hadn't made it from the counter to the fries, which required a quick trip to the three girls to correct this. This was done without any problems. The Istanbul Street Fries were sunk in/under a combo of lettuce and sauce and also... soggy. None of the “food boxes” appealed to us in terms of taste, there are shops that can do it better - for around 25 EUR.

Ich habe echt noch nie so schreckliche Pommes gegessen. Ich kann das nicht weiter empfehlen. Ein Restaurant dass sich Fritten Werk nennt sollte eigentlich wissen wie gute Pommes gehend

Had BBQ pork poutine and Tijuana fries which were both super tasty! In the end, the garlic fries were a bit too much for us, so we would use normal fries next time. Nevertheless, it was tasty and staff is friendly.

I was handed food that another guest had already received and opened.

Unfortunately, when delivered, the portion is too small and simply doesn't justify the price. It's a shame that you still have to be hungry after spending €7.70.

Abstract Frittenwerk Bilk review from June 17, 2024 This review is divided into three sections: 1. Dishes I ate: - The new fries are significantly better. - The fried vegan sausage was a letdown. 2. Dishes I would have liked to eat: - Unfortunately, three types of poutine were not available. - Dessert was also canceled as there were no churros. 3. Voucher: - Packaging or a cover for the plastic card would be desirable. Conclusion: Although the new fries stood out positively, the lack of dishes and inadequate accessories for the voucher detracted from the overall experience.

I tried to call them to let them know that when ordering via Lieferando, the address wasn't fully displayed and the comment was hidden. The first time no one answered. The second time, I heard “Dude, she’s calling again.” Then they hung up and turned off the phone completely. Sorry that I want my food to arrive to me. At least Lieferando gave me the opportunity to contact the restaurant. I worked in the catering industry myself. If this is too much stress for you, you should quit. That doesn't work at all.

I wanted to take a portion of ToGo with me. But when I got it and left the restaurant, I was very surprised. Frittenwerk is not cheap, but such a small portion is really an imposition. Simple Fries ToGo is absolutely not a recommendation

Don't understand the good reviews. Currywurst öagm and fries soft. Everything soggy and tasteless. And way too expensive!

While the food there is good, today I ordered Istanbul Street Fries with meat and got the version with falafel. When I brought this to the lady's attention, she said to me that I had ordered the one with falafel without looking closely, but that it would have been enough to simply take the piece of paper out of the bin and take a look. It doesn't work at all. Especially with the newly adjusted prices.

Delicious food here, the offering is clearly constantly expanding, there are also several vegan dishes here. Vegan currywurst is super delicious. But you are generally interpreted.

I asked for the topping to be packed separately, rather than being put on top of the fries. This was because I was taking it home and didn't want the topping to make my fries cold. This was a problem for the lady. She said that this was not something they did but to ask the man trying the chips. He confirmed that they couldn't pack my topping separately. When I told him that I'd had the topping packed separately the previous day he said he'd do it this one but if I came again, they wouldn't. What is wrong with this request? Please can you tell me why you have a problem with complying with something so simple to achieve and so easy to deliver and please the customer??? I like the food from this outlet but am extremely disappointed at the service.

A small restaurant that is located right next to Bilk train station and the Bilker Arcaden in the middle of Düsseldorf. The restaurant always looks clean and well-maintained both from the outside and inside. The employees were always very friendly during all visits and gave me and us good care and advice. I can't complain in any way about noise or other disruptions in this branch, as the guests are not limited to a specific audience, but are very diverse and also enjoy their menus or French fries etc. in peace with occasional conversations. There is also a larger outdoor area that is furnished and is particularly suitable for consumption in the warm months. The portions are more than enough to fill you up and it tastes fantastic every time if you are a French fry lover. I can warmly recommend this Frittenwerk branch to anyone who is traveling in Bilk and the surrounding area and doesn't want to go to the classic fast food chains.

I have never eaten such bad limp and half-finished fries. Soft and inedible without the delicious mayo. Unfortunately, the nice ambience and service are of no use. Unfortunately I didn't try the fries until I was in the car, otherwise I would have brought them back straight away.

Fritten, nicht besser oder schlechter als aus der Pommesbude. Nur etwas mehr schnick-schnack. Keine Bedienung, kein Porzelangeschirr oder Besteck. Letztendlich Einwegverpackungen wie bei Mäckes!

Die Tür im Eingangsbereich ist seit Monaten defekt und steht einen großen Spalt offen. Es zieht extrem doll im gesamten Laden. Wärmeeffizienz ist hier scheinbar egal. Im Eingangsbereich stehen Bestellterminals, die auch im Zug stehen - dort zu bestellen ist extrem unangenehm. Die 2min bekommt man schon Nacken- und Kopfschmerzen bei der Kälte im Winter.

Curry wurst is very good I came after a while to Germany and I always come here to frittenwerk for curry wurst and other foods like the shawarma meal. They also have very good vegan options and the fries and curry wurst is the best.
