Super friendly staff, cool location and the food…. Both main courses and desserts are really 10/10! I can only recommend everyone to come here!

Good fries in themselves, but the sauce is usually spread directly on the fries, which makes them limp and soft instead of crispy. But there is nothing wrong with the other dishes and the fries (without sauce).

The fries variations are very tasty. I've never been disappointed so far. If you are in the area I can only recommend this restaurant. The vegan options are constantly being expanded and supplemented by special offers.

The three girls at the chip counter were busy when we arrived. The shop and tables inside and outside were empty - at 4pm on a Thursday. Not a friendly one "Hello, there you will find our offer or similar." ... Order only via the "teleprompter" - everything looked very tasty, just like on the website. The offer and the composition are a bit confusing, "Build your Meal" would be the best term. The promotional item was sold out. Why I should order a dip to go with fries that are literally drowned in sauce (=poutine) is unclear. Why I should also order snacks (fries, falafel, curry wursts with fries, etc.) - i.e. fries with fries - is unclear. Regardless, we ordered at R2D2: Chilli Cheese Fries, Istanbul Street Fries, each with sweet potato fries) - Extras: fried onions, soda lime - everything to "eat here". The planned dessert We had forgotten “Churros” - it was probably a sign. We received our order in a bag - to go. After a brief note “eat here” everything was packed out of the bag onto a tray. Yes, the guest is amazed, everything remains on the disposable cardboard dishes with a wooden fork, and there was a paper cup with the drink. I expected it differently. In joyful - but somewhat subdued - anticipation, we sat down at one of the outdoor tables. Unpacked, the fries were truly completely submerged in the sauce combination (chilli cheese fries). Although the journey from the counter to the table took barely 2 minutes (including repackaging), the fries - every single one - were completely soggy and soft, somehow unclear. The jalapenos were watery and not spicy. The “cheesy sauce” had no cheese flavor. The fried onions hadn't made it from the counter to the fries, which required a quick trip to the three girls to correct this. This was done without any problems. The Istanbul Street Fries were sunk in/under a combo of lettuce and sauce and also... soggy. None of the “food boxes” appealed to us in terms of taste, there are shops that can do it better - for around 25 EUR.

Had BBQ pork poutine and Tijuana fries which were both super tasty! In the end, the garlic fries were a bit too much for us, so we would use normal fries next time. Nevertheless, it was tasty and staff is friendly.

I was handed food that another guest had already received and opened.

Unfortunately, when delivered, the portion is too small and simply doesn't justify the price. It's a shame that you still have to be hungry after spending €7.70.

Abstract Frittenwerk Bilk review from June 17, 2024 This review is divided into three sections: 1. Dishes I ate: - The new fries are significantly better. - The fried vegan sausage was a letdown. 2. Dishes I would have liked to eat: - Unfortunately, three types of poutine were not available. - Dessert was also canceled as there were no churros. 3. Voucher: - Packaging or a cover for the plastic card would be desirable. Conclusion: Although the new fries stood out positively, the lack of dishes and inadequate accessories for the voucher detracted from the overall experience.

Very nice and courteous service and, best of all, a A culinary delight and a must for everyone. I'm a big fan and can only recommend it.

I tried to call them to let them know that when ordering via Lieferando, the address wasn't fully displayed and the comment was hidden. The first time no one answered. The second time, I heard “Dude, she’s calling again.” Then they hung up and turned off the phone completely. Sorry that I want my food to arrive to me. At least Lieferando gave me the opportunity to contact the restaurant. I worked in the catering industry myself. If this is too much stress for you, you should quit. That doesn't work at all.

I wanted to take a portion of ToGo with me. But when I got it and left the restaurant, I was very surprised. Frittenwerk is not cheap, but such a small portion is really an imposition. Simple Fries ToGo is absolutely not a recommendation

Don't understand the good reviews. Currywurst öagm and fries soft. Everything soggy and tasteless. And way too expensive!

While the food there is good, today I ordered Istanbul Street Fries with meat and got the version with falafel. When I brought this to the lady's attention, she said to me that I had ordered the one with falafel without looking closely, but that it would have been enough to simply take the piece of paper out of the bin and take a look. It doesn't work at all. Especially with the newly adjusted prices.

Delicious food here, the offering is clearly constantly expanding, there are also several vegan dishes here. Vegan currywurst is super delicious. But you are generally interpreted.

I asked for the topping to be packed separately, rather than being put on top of the fries. This was because I was taking it home and didn't want the topping to make my fries cold. This was a problem for the lady. She said that this was not something they did but to ask the man trying the chips. He confirmed that they couldn't pack my topping separately. When I told him that I'd had the topping packed separately the previous day he said he'd do it this one but if I came again, they wouldn't. What is wrong with this request? Please can you tell me why you have a problem with complying with something so simple to achieve and so easy to deliver and please the customer??? I like the food from this outlet but am extremely disappointed at the service.

Fries were extremely brown and seemed like they had been reheated. There is no second chance. You don't see me anymore

A small restaurant that is located right next to Bilk train station and the Bilker Arcaden in the middle of Düsseldorf. The restaurant always looks clean and well-maintained both from the outside and inside. The employees were always very friendly during all visits and gave me and us good care and advice. I can't complain in any way about noise or other disruptions in this branch, as the guests are not limited to a specific audience, but are very diverse and also enjoy their menus or French fries etc. in peace with occasional conversations. There is also a larger outdoor area that is furnished and is particularly suitable for consumption in the warm months. The portions are more than enough to fill you up and it tastes fantastic every time if you are a French fry lover. I can warmly recommend this Frittenwerk branch to anyone who is traveling in Bilk and the surrounding area and doesn't want to go to the classic fast food chains.

I have never eaten such bad limp and half-finished fries. Soft and inedible without the delicious mayo. Unfortunately, the nice ambience and service are of no use. Unfortunately I didn't try the fries until I was in the car, otherwise I would have brought them back straight away.

Fritten, nicht besser oder schlechter als aus der Pommesbude. Nur etwas mehr schnick-schnack. Keine Bedienung, kein Porzelangeschirr oder Besteck. Letztendlich Einwegverpackungen wie bei Mäckes!

Die Tür im Eingangsbereich ist seit Monaten defekt und steht einen großen Spalt offen. Es zieht extrem doll im gesamten Laden. Wärmeeffizienz ist hier scheinbar egal. Im Eingangsbereich stehen Bestellterminals, die auch im Zug stehen - dort zu bestellen ist extrem unangenehm. Die 2min bekommt man schon Nacken- und Kopfschmerzen bei der Kälte im Winter.

Hoffnungslos überschätzt; reine Hipster-Erscheinung. Die Poutines schmecken alle ähnlich, nämlich nach Nichts. Ist die Mühe nicht wert. Personal teils arrogant.

Schöner Ort in Bilk zum Essen, bieten neuerdings auch vegane Currywurst an die ziemlich gut ist!!

Curry wurst is very good I came after a while to Germany and I always come here to frittenwerk for curry wurst and other foods like the shawarma meal. They also have very good vegan options and the fries and curry wurst is the best.

Great for a quick bite, food is delicious, service quick, the seating area is decorated really nicely. We had the vegan Pink Persia Poutine and it's a banger!

Food is exceptional, there is an option to eat outside. The staff are especially nice and professional, and also have the ability to speak English. I certainly would recommend this place to friends.

Wir haben lange in direkter Umgebung zu diesem Frittenwerk gewohnt und wenn ich sage, dass das eines der Dinge ist, die ich am meisten vermisse, meine ich das wirklich ernst 😅 Das Personal war immer total freundlich und die Fritten sind hier sowieso unschlagbar gut. Und es gibt ständig neue Dinge zu probieren. Ich hab hier noch nichts gegessen, was mir nicht geschmeckt hätte. Bisher war ich auch bei jedem einzelnen Besuch in Düsseldorf seit meinem Umzug wieder hier essen und ich werde auch in Zukunft bei jeder Gelegenheit hierher kommen. Eventuell zieh ich auch einfach nur fürs Frittenwerk zurück nach Bilk, wär ne echte Überlegung wert 🤭

Leider muß ich meine 5 Sterne Bewertung nach unten revidieren. Die location ist sauber, Das Personal ist freundlich, Das Essen Ist geschmacklich gut. Aber diese kleinen Portionen ist echt eine Frechheit. Hier stimmt das Preis Leistung Verhältnis auf keinen Fall. Hier kann ich persönlich von einer Portion nicht satt werden.

Sehr schönes Ladenlokal, zentral gelegen direkt am S-Bahnhof Bilk. Parkplätze um die Ecke, aber oft sehr voll. Essen gut, wie bei allen Frittenwerken, Personal sehr freundlich. Preislich OK.

Typisches Frittenwerk mit der Standardkarte. Man kann hier sehr gut drinnen und draußen sitzen. Portionen eher klein, mit Extras wird man aber satt.

Ich habe eine Currywurst mit pommes bestellt und es hat einfach nur ekelig geschmeckt die Currywurst hat wie Brot geschmeckt die pommes war Stein hart die Bedienung arbeitet unhygenisch und ich hatte Haare in meinem Essen

Ich hatte vor ein paar Tagen eine relativ grosse Bestellung zum mitnehmen gehabt. Obwohl der Laden recht voll war, hatte ich das Essen innerhalb weniger Minuten. Auch nach langer Fahrt nach Hause, war das Essen noch warm und genießbar.

Ich habe heute mal die neue veganen Currywurst probiert. Sie schmeckt natürlich nicht 1 zu 1 wie eine normale Currywurst, trotzdem hat sie mir sehr gut gefallen und sie ist eine super Fleischalternative. Auch sonst war der Laden sehr gepflegt und die Mitarbeiter waren auch sehr nett. Gerne wieder!😊

Hut ab vor diesem Team! Einerseits einfach grundsätzlich: wirklich sehr lecker und ausgesprochen freundliche Bedienung. Andererseits: War heute Abend dort und leider gab es eine Situation, in der ich mich aufgrund etwas unangenehmer Kundschaft leider im Lokal unsicher gefühlt habe. Dankenswerterweise sind zwei Männer vom Team mit einer bewundernswerten Zivilcourage eingeschritten, wofür ich ihnen unsagbar dankbar bin. Wenn wir im örtlichen Einkaufszentrum unterwegs sind ist es mittlerweile Tradition geworden anschließend im Frittenwerk einzukehren. Bisher waren wir immer zufrieden. Das Personal ist freundlich. Der Laden ist gepflegt und wenn das Wetter gut ist ist der Außenbereich auch gemütlich.

Returned here after picking up some take-out poutine after Gamescom. Incredibly good poutine, service and atmosphere. The lady working also spoke great English which made it easy to order.

Ich mochte frittenwerk immer sehr, bin heute nach einem anstrengenden Tag ausgehungert zum Laden, habe mir eine Portion einpacken lassen und zuhause gesehen, dass beide Saucen vergessen wurden :( ziemlich schade, auch blöd, dass ich für toppings und alles gesamt 12€ bezahlt habe für Pommes ohne Sauce :(

Hier wurde Frittenwerk geboren, hier lebt es mit viel Würde weiter! Besonders das eingespielte, freundliche und auch mal für ein Witz offenes Personal sticht hervor. Essen sowieso eine klare 10 von 10. Ich verbleibe mit den Worten: "Wir sehen uns wieder!"
